He does not know how to deal with his customers. He is rude and disrespectful. You will expect him to threaten to not give you the truck and kick you out of his store just by asking him how long you should wait. The truck is more than an hour late as he walks in and out of his office for no reason. I do not recommend anyone to deal with him.HANI H.

The instructions for returning the vehicle and online pages were not clear so I had returned the keys after taking photos with my phone not knowing that the usual site would use my phone. As a result of this I felt powerless and feared being subjected to additional fees.paul W.
This is the second and last time we will use this location as the owner is not receptive and not helpful. He did not assist with trailer or more importantly there to assist pushing the trailer out of ditch/drainage are in order to hook up. He sent us to the back on our own to get trailer where my wife And I were left to push this heavy trailer up and out. RidiculousGary T.

No problem with this location or the gentleman running it. the only issue I found at this location when I arrived was the note on the door that said to call or text the gentleman when you arrive at the location, I couldn't help but think what if someone arrived without a cell phone? Ironically he was right there behind the locked door? This was not the location where I wanted to pick up the truck, I asked for and was given the Almonte location and had a reservation number but the day before I was to pick up the truck Uhaul called to tell my wife that we would have to go to the Stittsville location to pick up the size of the vehicle we wanted. I was very disappointed as I was away for the weekend and came home to this situation which resulted in me having to go further and costing me more money. Also the gentleman wanted me to take pictures of the odometer, the inside of the cab and the back and text them to him, again what if someone did not have a cell phone. We as a society are too dependant on technology these days. No issues with the equipment but again disappointed that I had to go out of my way to get the truck size I wanted.Doug H.

This was absolutely the worst truck rental experience We have ever had with Uhaul. The owner/manager of L & S food Corp where the truck was rented from was a liar and a terrible person to deal with. We were set to pick up our 26' truck on Friday evening and he called us an hour before to tell us he only had a 20' truck and gave us no explanation. The key was no where to be found when we got there and we needed to wait an additional 30 minutes for someone to locate the key for us. There was the same 26' truck sitting there when we picked it up and as when we dropped it off. Instead we had to use the 20' truck and make a second trip and pay more kilometres because of this LIAR!! It has been a terrible experience.Erica S.

The owner operator of the 245 Westbrook Rd location was great. Very helpful. I would definitely select this location before going elsewhere. They have lots of trucks and trailers. On another note: I have been double charged on my credit card. We finally fixed the distance I travel. Now I need them to rectify the number of days I rented the vehicle. I rented for 1 day and they charged me for two days plus safe move cost. I have emailed U-Haul to fix the issue. They charged my credit card. Called the owner of the Westbrook Rd location and he remembers me renting it for 1 day only. Need someone at U-Haul to fix the issue.Nelson G.

If the customer was not aware of how to hook up the trailer properly they would have a problem as there is no service available for that. In addition if they did not have somebody with them they would not be able to get the trailer up to get it onto the ball. The customer service rep was very congenial however he was busy with other customers at registration and had no other support. I had no problem getting myself going however you might want to consider other customers with less experience. Merci.John R.

Truck could have been cleaner when picked up. had an issue when returning the truck.. the truck was returned in the same condition as picked up but the drop off location said it wasn't clean enough and charged me 25 $for cleaning.. My view is if I am returning the truck in the same condition as picked up then I should not be charged a cleaning fee. this should be dealt with between the locations not put on the customer..David C.

The pickup was scheduled in Bentley Tires & Brakes(110 Bentley Ave, Nepean, ON K2E 6T9), there was anyone to give us the keys at 6pm(as I planned in Uhaul application), I waited for 1h30, the business was open and the PC with Uhaul session open as well (with customer data), the person doesn't have any idea about customer private policy, shame on uhaul to have such as dealer, I called to police because we don't know why the business was open(with "OPEN" Spot", and when the boss came, he told us that the business is closed at 4pm and Uhaul doens't take in consideration that, Then Uhaul proposed me another location which is tooo far from me(245 Westbrook Rd Ottawa, ON K0A1L0), (therefore more additional costs and it's not my faultand it's not my fault)I am very unsatisfied with Uhaul servicesRACHID G.

First we were booked at a different location and we called the day before pickup just to confirm and they told us that the truck we rented was actually broken down, we would have gone to pickup and be left with nothing. So we got a different/smaller truck at a different location . My husband went to pickup and the website wasnt working on his phone to do the cobtract, so the man working there just gave him the keys and showed him how things worked , so my husband left after they said bye. We get a phone call from Uhaul security from a man named stephen yelling at us to get back to Uhaul now. Threatning us and giving my husband a hard time over the phone. The man at the uhaul location ended up calling and we did the contract over the phone, instead of driving back. The security person was extremely rude and him raising his voice was uncalled for.Tyler D.
I had a reservation at 8:00 and showed up right at 8:00. There were at least three other people with 8:00 reservations. There is no way that the attendant can help four people at the same time, so I had to wait for help (suggest staggering reservation times better). I was supposed to use the online self check in but had problems with that so the experience of getting the truck was not great. After that using the truck and returning it went fine.Michael A.

My rental was booked for 12:30 pick up but the attendant was out of the office. When he got back he dealt with another customer then he left to investigate an accident in the yard. My rental pick up was 90 minutes late because of these delays. I brought the van back before my recalculated pick up time. I was charged a second day rental. I will find another option for my next rental.Joel R.

Again a more secluded location for customers to be , key drop feature is helpful but COVID protocols are most important but once not needed I think customers should not have to pick up or drop off vehicles in back of buildings. Should always be public location then employee transfer to storage location. Most other businesses have the â€œ public showroom â€œ to receive customers not the â€œcluttered, busy back stage areaâ€ which doesn't impress so isn't usually shown.FRANCIST D.

On the order for the rental advise the client on the form, in big bold letters, the documentation required when picking up the rental: credit card, drivers licence, telephone numbers of emergency contacts. We had to wait almost an hour because the clients ahead of us did not have those items . Your pick up service needs improvement.jim R.

Boy Uhaul has come along way. Website is absolutely great! I've called to book trailers in the past but I will be using the website to book from now on. Instead of calling in my order only to find out it was moved to a different location now I can follow along as the reservation is moved from one location to another in order to keep my reservation assigned to a trailer for the time I need it. I feel sorry for anyone who thinks it's still easier to call it in. These days have come and gone. Way to stay current with the times Uhaul!Kevin F.
Make sure your equipment is safe to use. The truck I reserved came with a nice big hole in the wall of one of the tires. How do you miss this? How is this safe to rent? The replacement truck was larger, I wasn't given the 50 $discount, the replacement truck had terrible breaks and the steering column shook when the vehicle for up to speed.
