Picking up and returning the U-Haul at Lynnhaven Golf Park was the worst part of my moving day. I selected the 24/7 Truck Share service at 0800 because the Golf Park didn't open until 0930, so I went and walked over there from my apartment because it was close, which was why I selected that location. I went through 6-7 web pages on the internet and then finally got a code to unlock Box 2 at the U-Haul rental box location which was a walk away from my truck. When I finally got to the Golf Park's Gazebo and unlocked the lock for Box 2 for my key, there was no key in there, so I called U-Haul customer service. Luckily I found someone who was opening the Golf Park and had the keys inside, and he was able to verify with Melody from U-Haul customer service (Melody was great) that I was the right person for the truck. My truck was dirty with water bottles and stardust candy all over the floor, but other than that it was just â€œfineâ€. When I went to return the truck after moving stuff for about 8 hours in the heat, I went over to the Golf Park gazebo, had to park my truck all the way in the back and then walk over to their gazebo again. I talked to the guy at the counter who asked me to take a photo of the mileage, so I walked all the way over to the truck again, took a photo of the mileage and came back, he said he needed a photo of the mileage and the gas level (which was still at F) and I said I'm not doing that and walking over there again, told him the gas level and showed him the mileage and immediately left. The truck was alright, but picking up and returning the truck at Lynnhaven Golf Park was literally the WORST part of my day and I definitely will not ever consider picking up a truck there or going there to play golf.Thomas T.

The location is behind a putt putt facility without any signage and no visibility to the street. No one told us what to look for or how to get in. Once we figured it out, we had to drive up a makeshift dirt road and look for personnel who was actually a putt putt employee who just called someone else on the phone. The truck was a drop off so no one had checked it once it was returned from the previous renter to ensure it was safe for the next renter. Terrible!!!Ann B.
Better customer service and making sure that people get the proper reservation at the proper time . If in the future someone had this issue, I would hope that U-Haul would compensate them for all the gas and wasted time that they had to go through like myself. The very small amount of compensation that I've received back doesn't even come close to the money I've lost due to the incompetence of U-HaulGREGORY R.

The vehicle was dirty in both the front and back. It smelled like cigarettes and there were cigarette ashes all over the place. The back of the truck had sand in it that had not been swept out. Picking up from this location was also very unprofessional. The worker had me signing random forms on their iPhone going back and forth while working with other customers despite me getting there before anyone.Cameron E.

There was no real indication this was the right drop off. When I dropped my truck off, there were no others so you literally think you got the address wrong. If you walk up you can find the key box but there should be a small sign somewhere. I was like wtfminiaturegolf.Tim P.

Kind of a strange location, literally the parking lot of a mini golf/batting cage/driving range facility. Checked in online and went inside to pick up the keys and everything went as expected. No paperwork, just picked up the keys from the nice woman behind the desk after she verified my reservation in her system.David B.
