Had the U-Haul when it was reserved.

Bruce BI was very disappointed with the new version of the light two wheel dolly design. The change of cables instead of safety chains to hook to truck recieveris unacceptable. The cables were in a tangle of kinks. Then to unravel the cable was full of painful surprises with sharp splinter spines of breaks coming through the rubber coating. I had leather gloves and they were even penetrated with cable splinters. Total miss application using cables. Get back to CHAINS like your other large trailers. The price of $49 to use for intown pull of 3 hours unacceptable.

Kathryn SFriendly and helpful staff. This is a one-person operation for a pretty large area on the Gulf, so sometimes there can be a wait, but the person behind the counter is always helpful and tries to help everyone quickly.
Ann FI'm a senior citizen and I could not get the trailer off the ball. There was no jack. I had to call for help and sat in my truck for over 15 minutes to get assistance where it took 2 men to lift the trailer off the hitch. I wish I knew about this before I rented it.
John LEven though the posted hours said someone would be there, there was no one there. We just had to unhook the 26 foot truck and car hauler ourselves and try to park it in the correct places.

Lorrie SThe gas gauge does not read properly. I drove 24 miles total and when I went to put gas in the needle moved but as soon as I put the truck into drive and went two city blocks it went back to empty so I stopped a second time and got gas. This time I added $15 more and the gauge did not move. I drove another four blocks to drop off the truck and return the keys. I took a picture of the gas gauge and have my receipts for proof. The gauge does not read accurate.

Doug CI have used this specific U-Haul location multiple times and I have always received excellent customer service from Darlene. I would like to make a suggestion to the executive management of U-Haul. I have noticed that each location I have used has had some sort of computer issue, which causes delays for customers, as well as unnecessary frustration for your valuable employees. I encourage you to survey your frontline agents who use the computers and software daily for their top three suggestions for improving transactions. As a repeat customer, I have noticed some of your employees could benefit from additional training and the use of more "user-friendly" technology. As a professional trainer and process implementation specialist, I highly recommend a once daily login and using touch screens. These two small changes made a significant impact to both our external and internal satisfaction scores when surveyed by the third-party company, Kingsley. Haley SThe 1st auto carrier trailer hitch was damaged returned it for one that worked as it should. The lady who ran the office really went above and beyond to make things right.
SCOTT ROffice was in a shed which wasn't the problem it was just cluttered and messy inside we had to stand in the cold. I placed my order online so pickup would be smooth and waited almost an hour because the lady there said to never do it online she doesn't like using the new technology. I cannot make this up she started talking to us about the end days coming, new world order, asking us if we read our bible preaching to us about how much she hated this new technology when all we wanted was to get in the uhual and move out of our house. Also, the truck she initially gave us needed oil and she said we can take it we just have to go put oil in it which I thought was unprofessional to ask, she should take care of her own vehicles. She's older she was doing everything on her own so every man there had to help her lift the trailers, move items and I just think it's time for someone new to takeover and revamp the port Lavaca u haul.

Misty WNot the correct address or name. It had me stopping at a United Rental. They said that they are tired of people stopping there to pick up or drop off stuff. Actual drop off was across town in a restaurant parking lot. I don't blame the owner. She said she's tried to get this corrected and stays on hold forever before she gets to talk with someone. Uhaul please help her!

Mark EThe tires were so badly worn that we had a blow out when returning it and apparently the insurance I purchased didn't cover anything. It's good the blow our didn't happen on the Raton Pass or we may have wrecked.
Jean BCargo trailer had a bald tire when I arrived to pick it up. The U-Haul rep at the location told me she couldn't call to get it repaired and that I had to pick it up as is and then call for service myself. I had to call for road service and wait an additional 3 or r hours to get it fixed before I could depart. The rep told me it was the worst trailer in the fleet. After reaching my destination and unloaded the contents I discovered that the enclosed cargo trailer must have leaked while driving in the rain because the almost new queen size mattress had soaked up water (rain) all along the side of the mattress. I tried twice to contact U-Haul service number, because I had paid for the insurance, but was on hold for over 2 hours each time and never got to talk with anyone about it. Ridiculous.

don tLady was nice, truck was not. Had no max ac in 100 degree weather. It was loud like muffler leak, the dog latch to rear door was not working properly and had to be manipulated manually to hold latch open, truck had 183 744 miles--Not a good truck for 200 mile trip.
