I ordered a furniture dolly with my rental that I was told would be with the truck at the time of pickup. The dolly was not included but I was still charged for it. I noted the absence of the dolly during the checkout and was told customer service would follow up with me regarding the charge. Nobody followed up and the charge was not refunded.

I really don't think there was any reason to come into the uhaul office.I completed the online pickup twice. Especially during the Corona Virus crisis.

The lady couldn’t be bothered to ensure the trailer was hooked up properly and then it came on on 35W, the busiest freeway in the city!! This was a horrible and terrifying experience, the GM of the Uptown Minneapolis location was amazing though. She saw me on the side of the road with the trailer disconnected and helped me through everything.

While the answers to the above questions were positive, I do have a negative comment that I will be addressing in a separate letter. The van that I rented was checked out as if I had a full tank and so it appeared from the needle on the gauge. I only drove 13 miles but when I went to top off the tank I had to put in 4.467 gallons at a cost of $10.49. I would have expected no matter how poor the Econoline Van mileage is rated to have to put in less than 1 gallon to top of the tank and return full. So I believe I paid more than $8 too much for the rental.

I'd suggest you start by REALLY inspecting returned equipment before you re-rent it. The truck we got was dirty both outside and inside (e.g., the windows were smeared and there was a splat of dried ketchup on the driver's seat). When I looked inside the cargo area, the previous renter had left a personal dolly and other material, which the attendant quickly claimed as his own. The attendant was a nice enough guy, but he was rather slow and lazy, more interested in shooting the breeze about where I was from and why I was renting the truck than helping clear the snow off the windshield or helping carry my blankets and dolly out to the truck. He even grumbled about it when I asked for little help the second time. Lastly, the truck itself was fine in most respects, but the cabin was SERIOUSLY loud from road noise. There appears to be NO insulation at all at the back of the cabin.

Was given a rental that a customer had just returned- the woman at the desk was rude and kept "sighing" gave me a key that did not work - then said "just take this one" (one that had just been returned) Did not do walk around and there was a cracked bumper then told me I had not returned the equipment Could not get anyone to come look at the van and when I returned it there was no one there- Was one HORRIBLE experience !!!

I had to wait an hour to be able to rent the truck, because it was so slow and then the system ended up not taking my (legally valid) temporary license because I had renewed my license recently. Then someone else showed up claiming they had rented the truck, was very rude to us, and tried to talk us out of the truck. The app was very slow, and the entire process took 90 minutes, which is absurd for trying to rent a truck.

Hated the online after hours return. I spent almost an hour trying to navigate it - in freezing snowing weather. Called twice and the 2nd person did the transaction for. She was awesome. Never want to do that again!

No lock was provided for the cargo door. I was suggested to buy my own lock. It's the same thing like sell a car with doors without lock mechanism. I paid 1000$ for the rent and have to buy the lock for 1 time use? The good thing is - I reused the lock from my storage unit :) Remarkably, the previous time I rented uhaul, it did have the lock and key, which completely makes sense.

The truck we were provided had very noisy brakes. We returned the truck and although there was an identical truck there we had to drive to Burnside in the truck with the noisy brakes to pick up another truck.

Chose this location to avoid the unhelpful staff member we encountered previously (and had a very unpleasant experience with) at another nearby location over a year ago. Lo and behold- he was the one to “help” us at the Meadowbrook location. Did not provide us any instruction on how to return the truck which resulted in a $20 charge after they “lost” the keys we returned to the Dropbox. When we picked up the keys he managed to insult us twice while providing no actual helpful information. Will not be returning to any location in the city of Saint Louis Park since he seems to work at all of them.

This was the worst rental experience Ihave ever had. Even worse when I reached out to tell you all about it NO ONE from UHAUL even cared to reach back out. The lady at the desk was rude and "bored" due to lack of business. Their drop box is hidden and they charged me extra because they locked the key in the truck. She then accused me of calling her stupid and charged me a late fee for them not knowing the key was in the truck. I dropped it off six hours early and busted my ass to do so. Unbelievable how sad these individuals are to make so many mistakes and blame the customer of all things. NEVER renting from them again. IF I EVEN THINK to rent a UHaul again it would be through Bauer in Minnetonka, but this experience may have soured me on yourorganization forever.

the return process was flawed, the online tool did not work properly and I ended up calling it in manually. And that was even not done properly, as I received a all from the local company asking about the return. Evidently they put the wrong serial number on my paperwork. But wasting time onsite in the middle of the night is the most frustrating part of the overall experience.

Place is a mess people that work there work as they wish close when they want when is supposed to be open no one is there when you call number that they put on door to call you call and ask them where they are they say I'm technically there but not not there wow very very bad place can't really on their service.

The only complaint I have is that when I rented the van I was not told that there was a $20 after hours fee that I was going to be charged. The estimate for the rental was correct but then I was expected to pay an additional $20 that I was not aware of. I will probably rent from someone else next time.

I rented the van for four days. My return was recorded as 23 minutes after the end of the fourth day, so I was charged for a fifth day. I was in line returning it for at least that amount of time (and then I just dropped key so the worker probably only recorded the time when he had checked mileage and gas) I think that fifth day charge is a little harsh.

The 24/7 service was horrible. My reservation was at 7:30am and we could not pick it up until 9:30am when the office opened. I was not able to use the check in from a mobile device which was frustrating. Please fix that system.

Total lack of communication within this company! I requested a 9AM pickup time and 130 miles one way and was quoted .29/mile overage charge. I called the day before to verify and was told the pickup place didn't open until 10. And that he had fixed the miles from 106 to 130. We arrived at the pickup place at 9:45 and they were already open! The gal at the counter was very rude and acted like she didn't want to be there! She tried telling us that we only had 106 miles and had to return the truck by 9. I told her I had called and talked to Tom the day before and he was to correct it. She said, "I don't care who you talked to". Unbelievable! Finally got out to the truck at 10:05 and she said to have it dropped off at 9:45 then. I swear they try to short you on miles and time. Then later we get a call saying the drop off place has to be changed, which is even more miles added.

Maybe have a person there when you pick up a rental. Maybe answer the multiple phone numbers left on the door Maybe not reschedule the chosen pick up location to double the distance from home. Or better yet, just not ever use U-Haul again. Without question the worst customer service experience I’ve ever had. Plain and simple U-Haul can just fuck off. I would not recommend this company to anyone and will at every chance voice my option that anyone use another vendor. The mere fact that nothing was done nor a phone call made after the debacual that was is disgusting.

We waited for an hour to get checked in and to get the truck because of computer problems. The young lady did the best she could and was very nice, however this caused us issues in getting delayed with our move. The manager on the phone that assisted did give us a discounted rate. Thank you. It is silly that truck comes with 1/4 tank of gas. The first thing we needed to do is stop for gas. Typically trucks are on FULL and you return them on FULL. That would be more helpful.

Provide better, friendlier service. Don't blame customer for failures in your web site ordering system. Don't offer customer equipment and services via phone that are not available when they pick up.

I signed up for a 9am pickup and the location wasn't open until 930 so I had people lined up to help move who had to wait and I sat in the parking lot for half an hour waiting for it to open. Sounds like it was the scheduling capability that was the issue, the employee on site was helpful when she arrived.

The customer experience was HORRIBLE. We showed up for our 9am pickup and the workers didn’t show up until 9:30. And then she tried to tell me it was my fault! My fault that I was on time “on a Saturday of all things”. She then proceeded to roll her eyes at any questions I had. She never inspected the uhaul or showed me where it was, she just gave me the key and didn’t say anything. She was extremely rude on top of the fact that I had to wait over half an hour past when my scheduled pick up was. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. Would never ever use this location again

The truck was there (never to be taken for granted at U-Haul). The woman at the counter was friendly and efficient. There was plenty of room to park my car. There are two gas stations, easily accessible for the truck east on Excelsior, one on each side of the road.
