The woman who served me was absolutely lovely but the truck was filthy inside (not good during a pandemic). someone had left their earphones on the dash, sticky cup holders and steering wheel, dusty dashboard. Loved the lady though!

Please make sure to clean the vans and free of any smell that is not good for the health of the renter. The lady who helped me is nice but very unorganized. Also, there was a deposit of 100cad and mentioned that they will return to my account and it has been 5 days since then and upon calling the finance department of Uhaul, it should have been settled when the truck is returned but it wasn't. Such a disappointment and waste of time going back to the place to just get the refund.

I ordered a dolly and furniture blankets for after-hours pick-up. When I arrived, none of the equipment was there, despite being billed for it. Since my move was time sensitive, I was forced to take the truck anyway and pick-up the furniture. Several pieces of furniture are now scratched and I have UHaul on Green St to thank for it. I've submitted a complaint and have yet to hear back.

I arrived at the Uhaul office. Nobody at the desk, I said hello and a voice answer “coming” No mask, was eating and extremely rude. I have my name to which he replied “you are late” I was an hour late which I explained why (which I should have to as someone who paying for the service. His directions of getting the truck were again rude. Getting a Uhaul means you obviously have a major job that day, I expect a common curtesy of someone being polite.

The employee at this location was incredibly rude and seemed very unwilling to help anyone. The van was filthy when we got it, and the parking brake was broken. The location itself is chaotic and unorganized.

It was not made clear to me if I was late checking in my reservation would be cancelled. Check in form was buggy, and ultimately did not work at all. Fortunately, staff I reached on the phone were very helpful, even when a problem with the phone system caused me to lose touch with the person I started with.

When filling out the application for the uhaul, I selected pick up location green street and drop off location Bayers lake. I drove to Bayers lake to find out the system “changed my drop off location to green street”( says the lady at green street) so I got charged more because I drove to Bayers lake location for no reason.

The rental was perfect - as promised except for the dolly not being in the truck. The actual location itself is disgusting. Saw three rats/mice running under trucks and in front of building. The "office" area looks like a dumping ground - both inside and outside. No public washroom available - the clerk at the location said she has to go to grocery store down the road to use the washroom - I suspect its just filthy and they don't want anyone to see. There are packing pads and blankets hung on the fencing of the property and garbage throughout the lot. And the parking lot itself is in such disrepair that some of the pot holes are 3-6 inches deep. Definitely not somewhere I wish to go again.

This was the absolute worst experience I've ever had with a rental company before and will never use your service again. Requiring to be on the phone with customer service for over two hours for a pickup and drop off process of a vehicle is absolutely absurd. I will be contacting your customer service department for a refund

Clean your trucks, I was accused of using the dolly half hour later decided to give 20 dollars back . Please was not wearing mask when coughing and continue to avoid washing hands.

No key for the lock, and when I asked for a properly functioning lock to store my items in the truck overnight the owner insisted I didn't need a lock, "what are people going to do, steal your furniture?". Every truck should have a functioning lock with the key provided especially where rentals are for 24 hours.

The dealer told me that he would charge $20 to unload trailer when I confronted that there is nothing in contact he reduced it to $10. I asked that if he could guide me I can do it but he said he can't help. At last with no options left I asked him to unload. he behaved like parasite.

Had me an average UHaul experience. Pickup went fine, did it in the store (yes, the mobile app option is terrible and should only be used when absolutely necessary, e.g. after-hours pickup, or if you need a truck on the first of the month and there's a hour-long lineup at the counter). Person running the place was friendly and competent. Drop-off had a bit more of a hiccup. Was incorrectly charged a convenience fee, but when notified, the area field manager responded quickly and issued a refund promptly. Was actually pleasantly surprised and impressed by how smoothly the issue was resolved. For that reason, I would still recommend this location. Still, with U-Haul, unwanted added charges are always a risk, and it's best to drop off the rental during business hours whenever possible to get a final receipt issued on the spot.

When I checked in the back of the truck, I saw the moving blankets and dolly strapped in there. This was new compared to the last time I rented a UHaul, so I went back into the store to ask about it. The checkout person could have mentioned it during our initial conversation to spare me a moment of confusion.

I like dealing with this location. The staff are efficient and polite. There is always an element of uncertainty involved in renting (e.g. people not returning rentals on time and affecting other renters), especially at a location largely used by students, but whenever complications arise the staff here have always worked hard to resolve them.

Was charged for insurane even though i refused it at the store. I filled the gas tank up to the top, even though the level was 7/8...because I was asked by the store owner to. When I brought this discrepancy up later he pretended like that didnt happen...I had to dispute fuel tank level anyways. I lost $25 dollars on the insurance and extra gas. Not happy. He was also smoking in the small office in which the transaction was conducted and he had an aggressive dog on the premise...very uncomfortable and unprofessional transaction

Paid significantly more for fuel then I should have as the truck was only a quarter full when I received it and was half full when it was returned. Uhaul should then credit customer difference. Would not be an issue if it was full out and full return. Call me @ 9026314900

I rented 26" truck on March 31 from the Metro Food Equipment on Green st., Halifax, NS, Canada. I reserved two different kinds of dolly - furniture and appliance - online. They only had the appliance dolly available at the store and when we explained that we reserved for another dolly, he said "you can do whatever you want online, it is not available here." I asked if the dolly was used by another client, and he said no, the store only has one dolly. I found the online reservation system really misleading and the employee in the store was very rude about it. When I asked him if I can continue using the app to proceed the check-in, including uploading the pictures before taking off. He laughed and said I can take pictured if really wanted to, but he does not care. I am not sure how they will track the damage to the truck, if nothing is documented? Also, I was initially really relieved by knowing that U-Haul offers sanitization and cleaning of the truck and equipment before renting. This was not done by any of the employees at the store. I can tell that the sanitization was not done at all - the truck was dirty even just looking at it and when I used my own anti-bacterial wipes I brought just in case, I see yellow/brown smears on the steering wheel and handles. I am very disappointed in this store and the quality of customer service. I will never use this location again.

I used the 24/7 mobile check in as the location isn't open on a Sunday. I had to wait over 90mins to get checked in. Why couldn't I add all my driver details at home in advance when I checked in online? Who carry's their passport or lease agreement. My alternate contact received a txt that they would be receiving a call but it never came. I had to start the whole process 3 times. It's say mobile 24/7 but it's not a very streamline process and the mobile app isn't much better. Very frustrating process just waiting for the online chat to respond while they approve your info.

There was a sheet of ice coating the ramp to the front entrance. It was unavoidable! My daughter and I almost fell twice. A little salt would have easily corrected the obvious hazard! I made one trip with the van, a total of 26km. It took less than 5 hours to load, unload, and return the truck. I left it in pristine condition with the receipt for the gas on the dash. I was charged a $25 cleaning fee!? You can bet I'll be disputing that! So, NO, I will not be recommending you!

I picked the vehicle up after hours. The walkway to the key pick up box was partially blocked by a truck that appears to have been backed up into a glass door which was shattered and the only way to get to the box was an ice covered path. When I returned the vehicle after hours the next day, the truck was still in the way and the path was still ice covered. In order to improve the experience for the next customer I would suggest making sure the key pick up /drop off area is clear and safe for customers. I dropped off the vehicle during a payment system crash that caused an error in my on-line return. I spent almost an hour on the phone trying to confirm that my return went through. I was standing outside in the cold the whole time. I was transferred four times. The first time the call was dropped after being on hold for 10 minutes so I had to call back. Eventually I was told everything was fine and the area manager would make sure I wasn't overcharged for a late return. When I checked my credit card statement several days later there were five separate charges from UHaul. I've spent a significant amount of time on the phone with customer service trying to have these charges corrected. I was also charged for 1/8 of a tank of fuel. I explained that I returned the vehicle with the same amount of fuel that was in it when I picked it up which was slightly less than 1/2 a tank. I was told over the phone that it shouldn't be an issue to refund the fuel charges. The next day I received this email from the area manager: "Good afternoon Mrs Adams, I went down to Green st today to check the fuel level for myself and the amount is just under 1/2 of tank that is why you were charged for fuel and the full amount that was taken from your credit card was $63.99 which is the correct amount of this contract. I do apologize but there is not a refund for this contract. - Pierre Carmichael" The actual charges to my credit card are as follows: Feb 29 $57.68 Mar 2 $11.94 Mar 2 $13.11 Mar 2 $11.96 Mar 2 $11.96 I have been in contact with customer service again today and now have a confirmation email that I am being refunded $48.15 as per my original request, which includes the fuel charge. The helpful customer service agent explained how fuel dependencies of 1/16 - 1/8 of a tank can happen depending on the angle the truck is parked or the temperature. I'm submitting this review to bring to your attention the incredible amount of effort this took on my part and the numerous miscommunications within your company. I've used UHaul several times in the past and always been happy with the service. I won't be returning to the Greene St location if I can avoid it in the future.

Location was full of Snow. Very hard to take out vehicles when you specially use mobile pickup. And the last the mobile approval took more than an hour to get approved with transferred to 3 different agents on call.
