Great experience with service. The person who booked before me didn't return the van in time, so they loaned me another that was much larger than necessary and made moving between alleyways harder. Ditto on the dolly - they issued an appliance dolly instead of the smaller hand truck. Glad they could accommodate me, but overall a miserable day.DANIEL JOSEPH P.

Best service from this specific location. I had a little incident,where it wasn't even my fault,i got a call within 15 mins from a lady that works there,she saved the day. App check in was terrible, photo validation not compatible on Android app. Pickup was before business hours, so called customer service and checked in manually. Key retrieval was confusing, a lock box with a combination that was never sent to me. Luckily there was an attendant early for work that helped out. Same photo validation issue on return, arrived 10 minutes before close and doors locked for in person support. I was able to download the app on a friend's iPhone and it finally worked to return vehicle.Sarah B.

My online payment apparently didn't cover the tax. I thought it was weird they asked for my credit card after I had already paid. The store was very cluttered. When I picked up the truck the section with the cup holders was missing and there was coffee spilled everywhere which wasn't cleaned up. Not a very good experience.JASON PAUL K.
The app was very glitchy. It took me almost 40 minutes to complete the pick up my truck process with the help of customer service. That defeats the purpose of having the app.Ciaro M.
Honestly, I think that everything worked about as well as I could have expected. I read through the instructions and contract carefully, so nothing was a surprise to me. The app worked well. I read a lot of negative reviews prior to using U-Haul so was somewhat worried that we'd encounter a hitch along the way. I am grateful that we didn't and hope that others have similarly positive experiences going forward.Adam F.

Horrible customer service. The people working are rude and also cheats you for gas. I have never met u haul employees who are this condescending, angry and horrible. This location is very convenient to me and I rent from here quite often, but also quite often have issues. For eg, I am charged for insurance even though I decline every time and the staff don't seem to know how to rectify, as I have to go through the call center to get a refund every time.ASHLEY TAYLOR L.

It was the worst experience . I ve schedule to pick up a trailer at 10:00 am in Halifax , because they did not offer an earlier time. Nonetheless, when I got there, The store was closed. No one answer the phone, I stayed 1:30 h waiting outside in the cold weather ( -7 degrees celsius!). A lot of customers were in the same situation, complain about it. Moreover, the trailer was dirty inside. In addition, in the drop of location , the supervisor was extremely rude, impatient . It was the worst service ever! After driving almost 2 000 km from Halifax to Toronto, I was not expecting to be treated like a garbage.ERIC S.

There was no one at the location when I went to pick up my truck at 10am. The employee didn't arrive until 11am and there was 20 people standing outside in -4 who had to wait almost another hour in line for him to process each person in a tiny unheated office. This location is a dump and it is obvious that U-Haul has no standards for or the wellbeing of their customers or employees.Julian M.

After returning the key and re-fuelling the truck, I was called and told I had not returned the key to the office, which is not true. I have now been charged 309 $(on top of the 60 $for the service) with no explanation as to what the charge is for. very upset with the service I received and will never be working with this location again unless this is promptly fixedMatt W.
Terrible service. I scheduled pickup at 9am and had to wait on hold on my phone for 45 minutes because the on-line check-in process didn't work. I was told it doesn't work with Android phones using Google. Umm..that is a HUGE issue as Google is the most popular browser ON THE PLANET. Please make sure to clean the vans and free of any smell that is not good for the health of the renter. The lady who helped me is nice but very unorganized. Also, there was a deposit of 100cad and mentioned that they will return to my account and it has been 5 days since then and upon calling the finance department of Uhaul, it should have been settled when the truck is returned but it wasn't. Such a disappointment and waste of time going back to the place to just get the refund.monet L.

I ordered a dolly and furniture blankets for after-hours pick-up. When I arrived, none of the equipment was there, despite being billed for it. Since my move was time sensitive, I was forced to take the truck anyway and pick-up the furniture. Several pieces of furniture are now scratched and I have UHaul on Green St to thank for it. I arrived at the Uhaul office. Nobody at the desk, I said hello and a voice answer â€œcomingâ€ No mask, was eating and extremely rude. I have my name to which he replied â€œyou are lateâ€ I was an hour late which I explained why (which I should have to as someone who paying for the service. His directions of getting the truck were again rude. Getting a Uhaul means you obviously have a major job that day, I expect a common curtesy of someone being polite.Jack H.

It was not made clear to me if I was late checking in my reservation would be cancelled. Check in form was buggy, and ultimately did not work at all. When filling out the application for the uhaul, I selected pick up location green street and drop off location Bayers lake. I drove to Bayers lake to find out the system â€œchanged my drop off location to green streetâ€( says the lady at green street) so I got charged more because I drove to Bayers lake location for no reason.Jayde H.

The rental was perfect - as promised except for the dolly not being in the truck. The actual location itself is disgusting. Saw three rats/mice running under trucks and in front of building. The "office" area looks like a dumping ground - both inside and outside. No public washroom available - the clerk at the location said she has to go to grocery store down the road to use the washroom - I suspect its just filthy and they don't want anyone to see. There are packing pads and blankets hung on the fencing of the property and garbage throughout the lot. And the parking lot itself is in such disrepair that some of the pot holes are 3-6 inches deep. Definitely not somewhere I wish to go again.Steph L.

No key for the lock, and when I asked for a properly functioning lock to store my items in the truck overnight the owner insisted I didn't need a lock, "what are people going to do, steal your furniture?". Had me an average UHaul experience. Pickup went fine, did it in the store (yes, the mobile app option is terrible and should only be used when absolutely necessary, e.g. after-hours pickup, or if you need a truck on the first of the month and there's a hour-long lineup at the counter). Person running the place was friendly and competent. Drop-off had a bit more of a hiccup. Was incorrectly charged a convenience fee, but when notified, the area field manager responded quickly and issued a refund promptly. Was actually pleasantly surprised and impressed by how smoothly the issue was resolved. For that reason, I would still recommend this location. Still, with U-Haul, unwanted added charges are always a risk, and it's best to drop off the rental during business hours whenever possible to get a final receipt issued on the spot.ALBERT KA CHUNG K.
