I was over-charged on my recent u-haul order. I took a picture of the odometer when I picked up my truck and the number did not match the recorded number that the Uhaul app displayed. My bill shows that I drove 34 miles, when in fact I only drove around 6 miles. I only moved a short distance away from my home. I was charged $37.74 as a distance charge, but the charge should only be around $7. The online pick up was great but never worked on the U-Haul app, every time I got to the section where I pick the payment method the app would crash and I would have to start the whole process over again, ended up going into the internet browser to process everything and it finally worked flawlessly.

Terrible service from the over the phone booking of a trailer that wasn’t even available, to sending me to a location that was closed, to not being able to locate the auto transport that I dropped off the same day I rented it. Now I get a email saying I owe for 4 days of rentals. Somebody should fix this as I’m a loyal uhaul customer and until this is resolved I will 100% boycott uhaul.

Clerk was late. Was charged for an extra trolley and had to call twice and show up at the location to have it corrected. The truck was not well maintained and my driver was tense the whole drive down because the truck kept jerking (he was worried he would go into the ditch). The driver side door would not open from the outside.

This is the first time ever rent a van from Uhaul. Good experience. One suggestion when rental I looked for the 4stop flashlight and spent 5 minutes to find it. It maybe wise to leave brief guide information in the cabin on where and what each switch or button for. some useful into can be like where to find back and spare tire when got a flat tire.

Firstly, I rented a 15-foot truck and when I came to pick up the truck, it was not available. Their best substitute was a van requiring multiple trips to move, and a much more difficult move without the ramp on the back to load. Secondly, the furniture dolly I rented was not available. The furniture pads I rented were wet and smelled awful. Worst experience, would not recommend. Was also not given the $50 guarantee that u-haul promises.

Location wasn’t much to look at, but the staff was super friendly and the unit was renting was specifically picked to be the newest model available by the staff. Would totally recommend to someone.

If you don't allow a vehicle combination (Toyota Corolla pulling a 6x12 enclosed trailer) , then don't show this as a possibility during online booking. Next time I will book a trailer at a local company.

To improve services, I would recommend discontinuing your services with Metro Food Equipment on Green Street, Halifax, NS. The whom I rented a cargo van from did not bother to check any of the vehicles she gave for renting, she left a spare tire in the back of my cargo van, there was a “flat tire” sensor flashing in the van the whole drive (which terrified me), the van wasn’t clean - there was mud and salt all over the floor, she closed her shop 20 minutes early so I couldn’t return my van on time and she asked me to give her a good word to the sales rep I was speaking with previously. On top of that, I was sent to the wrong location and picked my van up an hour later than I had scheduled to. I was also over charged for services by the same lady. I’ve rented with uhaul in the past and never has an experience like this before. I will not be renting with uHaul again unless this issue is resolved. I’ve spoken with plenty of sales reps and it seems nobody can help me.

First, I was contacted at work to see if I could come in early as it was snowing out and I was the only customer scheduled to come in that afternoon. They wanted to close early. After I told them I couldn't leave work any earlier as I was already leaving early, they said they would leave the keys under the seat for me. Which I felt a little uncomfortable with, but still needed the Van that night. When I arrived at the Uhaul location, the Van was covered in snow. (despite the fact that it had stopped snowing when they called to ask if I could come early (around 3 pm). There was no brush left for me to remove the snow. I had to climb up on the front bumper to clean it off myself with my bare hands. (Very unpleasant and not ideal). To the lady's credit, she did leave the queen-sized mattress bag I had requested and charged my credit card over the phone so that she could leave it in the van for me. She also called to change the Van number so that the van I would take was full of gas. But at the same time, the original van had been de-snowed and the new one not. I was disappointed with the lack of thoroughness. It really sucked to have to take that snow off with my hands. Tha lady was also a bit short with me over the phone and a bit demanding when she had asked if I could come in early. She said the roads were bad (they were not that bad) and made me feel as if I were crazy for wanting to stick to my original scheduled time. As a paying customer, I don't think I should have felt pressure to accommodate the owner's/manager's schedule. At least not without being offered a discount (which did not happen).
