The app for booking U-Hauls is incredibly bad. It was a frustrating experience and placed extra stress, time, and burden on us. I would never recommend anyone to use the app. The only saving grace of the experience was the helpful woman at this location.

The location was good but office was chilly. The app was horrendous, however. I gave up after an hour of providing multiple contacts to validate my identity. The staff member at the store could not overcome this problem, opting to create a new order for me instead. She provided excellent service, however, and Iâ€™ll be using this location again, just without the app.

It would be helpful to inform the client of the finer details. I was not told that I had to send vid/pics of the vehicle before I dropped the keys in the after hours box. I don't have the option on my phone to do that, therefore, I would have made arangments to save the $20 fee.

Okay look the LOCATION was fine, but the overall experience was such a disaster that I've sworn off U-Haul for good, so thanks for letting users review the service as a whole, not just the location. First, it was my first time using the truck-share and I couldn't find any information anywhere on what to expect. I showed up at the pitch-dark parking lot in the freezing rain and tried to use wifi to connect to figure out how to pick up a truck. No wifi. Walked several blocks until I found some wifi at a Subway that was still open, spent FIFTEEN MINUTES crouching outside in the rain, trying to fill out info and take photos of my license, review the condition of the truck, read through contracts, etc. Was prompted yet again to sign up for services I had previously declined. Shivering and wet the entire time. Then I walked several blocks back to the depot, scrambled around in the dark using my phone as a flashlight trying to find the key lockboxes, which were hidden behind a TRUCK and a garbage can, and tried to open mine using one hand while the other shone my phone at it. Again, all in the freezing rain. Then once I had retrieved the key and we were ready to pick up the couch (nearly half an hour late) I had to drive across a city that was literally all black ice because of the freezing rain. I discovered then that the truck still had summer tires on. All in all one of the worst experiences of my life. Go fuck yourself U-Haul. 0/10 stars.

Your staff is not very knowledgeable. I was initially booked for the wrong date by your staff. Another staff later fixed the mistake and was very helpful. Although I was later charged for things I didnâ€™t want, need or even request, after returning to the store unhappily I was refunded the extra charges. There were charges for dolly rentals, furniture pads, etc that I didnâ€™t want and didnâ€™t see or even know of. There were extra false charges for fuel as well. Iâ€™m very dissatisfied with the dishonest and poor service I received. The fact that your company adds on false charges to unsuspecting customers is disgraceful. This is not the first time I have experienced this and Iâ€™ll be using a different company in the future. Iâ€™m disgusted that I would be quoted one price and later charged for a bunch of random false things without my knowledge. That sounds like fraud to me.

The area was disgusting - garbage, dirt, messy unkept area. There was no lighting. You required additional information from me when I was booking the truck, but didnâ€™t request it until I arrived at the location. It took 25 minutes for me to get the keys to the truck. The verification took too long and what you were requesting from me didnâ€™t need to wait until the last minute. Also - it is not appropriate for you to charge someone who is doing everything themselves the same amount as you would for someone who went in and spoke to a U-Haul representative to rent a vehicle.

Get well maintained your vehicles. The fuel of the Van that we rented was running out faster than usual. They are in bad conditions. Also, I was charged for a cleaning service plus tax. I went today to claim. They told me that 2 Vans were rented and that 1 of them was totally dirty with flowers. We rented the van because we bought 2 mattresses not flowers. The lady there told me that may be she could get me a refund of $20..... I am really really mad. Why only $20 and may be? Check well first before charging who was the one who rented the van to carry flowers. I can prove what I bought. So I told her I want the $35 of cleaning services back.

As the website said, I have already finished the check in process, and I can skip the line to get the key. But at first, they donot have the key when I arrived. Next, when I saw a man put the key on the desk, I said I can have this key, I have finished check in. But she just ignore me and let me go to the end of the lane. They said they need do the process for me, so I have to wait at the end of the line. At the end, they didnot do any process for me, just give me the key on the desk. It waste me about 30 minutes. And any other customer think me a bad guy not follow the rule, not follow the line. I won't choose this location, and also advise my friend be away with this location. Good luck for that lady.

I appreciate the location of this Uhaul venue, HOWEVER, I had booked a 9 foot van at this location because it was within walking distance as I am here without a vehicle. During the check-in process the day before, I discovered I was supposed to pick up said van at a location in Dartmouth, not doable and not convenient and incredibly frustrating. I went to the Green Street location to inquire as to what was going on and was told that they had no control over this since someone had booked a 9 foot van prior to my Saturday pickup. Fortunately, the gal who works there week days was able to secure me a 10ft truck for my move on Saturday the 28th, however when I attended to pick up the vehicle, there was a half hour wait due to the technical difficulties the Uhaul employee was having with the system in trying to check vehicles in and sign vehicles out for people. The gal who works during the week came into help with the backlog, I believe, and thank goodness she did as she was a huge help in helping things move along more smoothly and helping in sorting things out with using her phone and/or someone's iPad. The booking system has got to improve. It is part of why I have been reluctant to use uhaul in the past, and why I will probably look at other options in the future.
