I rented the truck for 19,95 $ â€œper dayâ€ I rented at 10pm, and â€œestimatedâ€ that I would return the truck by 2pm the following day, but actually red turned it at 4:30 the following day, still only 18 hours, yet I was charged for TWO 19,95 $ â€œdaysâ€!! It's not my problem that the my mechanics place wanted to rent it again at 2pm, I did not keep it beyond 24 hours and was charged double, thst is fraud,Deborah N.

I understand this place is only half uhaul and half owners business but the individuals at the counter seemed overwhelmed by 2 customers. One of the employees just left as soon as customers started lining up behind me, leaving the other employee to deal with the fact that my "GUARANTEED" auto transport reservation was NOT there and I had to drive to Detroit to get it myself, which I was charged for, and her broken printer so I couldn't sign any paperwork. The front left tire needed air. We arrived at the location thinking no one would be available to help. There actually were people in the building. However, they weren't very helpful. We went in to ask about what to do about the tire. (The instrument cluster had told us about the tire.). The person we asked said not to worry about it. ðŸ¤". When we persisted he gave us a tire gauge, then he came out to check. The tire pressure was 34 psi. The sticker on the car said it should be 55 psi. He told us not to worry about it. Again, we persisted and he had someone fill it up.Mary R.

Employees were not wearing masks in violation of state mandates. One employee admited to sending trucks out with missing parts. Process was extremely slow due to malfunctioning computer systems. The aforementioned employee also claimed to not know how to de-attach a trailer, which delayed me getting my truck another 10-15 minutes. Overall pickup time was about 45 minutes, which is too long.Josiah B.

Hopefully I won't need it but next time don't make me wait for 25 minutes waiting for the app to give me approval, only to message an agent finally and her saying oh you're approved thank you. I lost 25 minutes of time because it told me I still had to bring the truck back at 2:00 and didn't give me credit for that 20 minutes I had to wait for the app.Steven B.

You need to have a positive leadership with some incentives to motivate workers and enhance their mood,Michigan ave and inkster area in inkster what a shitty place they need a better management.also the one in Redford on Middlebelt by 96 fwy and the worst one is the one on Telegraph between 7 and 8 mile rd. I had a very bad experience I will consider another company and I'll think more than twice to make a trip to u-haul.it's a long story and I'm not in the mood to discuss it,it's just waste of time.Moe Z.
Only issue was that trailer reservation was not correct. Im not sure if it was a system error or error on behalf of My Mechanics Place. I placed a reservation on a 6'x12' cargo trailer (reservation confirmation was received and was for a 6'x12'). My Mechanics Place did NOT have a 6'x12' on site, I was instead given a 5'x8'. This ended up posing many difficulties on a move, as furniture did not fit in the smaller trailer.MELANIE B.

The truck was dirty and was not safe to drive. The wheel alignment was completely out which made driving the truck from Michigan to Chicago a pain and a safety hazard. The windshield wipers need to be changed. They blurred my visibility when I tried using them as it was raining in Indiana and Chicago that evening. Horrible overall experience. Rented a 4x8 from this location because one was not available at our usual Uhaul. The inside of the trailer was very dirty. We had to sweep and actually mop it out before we could use it. Chains and wires were in good shape.Deanna M.

Unfair to ask to rank this location. Were not the reason for my negative experience. Reservation was at Detroit telegraph location. Showed up on time and was told the had no trailer for me and the could not help me, call 800 go uhaul. After 40 minutes on hold was sent to a scheduler that said no problem they have one at this location but they dont open for 2 hours. So much for my schedule. Once I eventually got the trailer it was swaying horribly. After stopping at four gas stations I eventually found a working air pump and found out the passenger rear tire had 8 lbs of air pressure and the drivers front had 21 lbs. Rent often from uhaul but must have been a bad day. First really negative experience. But this location is finedennis A.
