The online system is cumbersome - get all the driver info when they request the rental- then just confirm the drivers license at the time of pickup- getting multilabel thins done was cumbersome and took longer than expected.Eric W.

We rented the truck for a one way cross country move. When I picked up the truck , the UHAUL agent could not find a UHAUL dealer at our destination. There are at least 10 UHAUL locations within our destination zip code. He picked instead a UHAUL location about an hour and a half from my home. He did not seem to know how to work the rental application and had to ask questions from the gas station operator. When I got home, I tried to change my destination location on line but could not and had to call UHAUL to make the change. The UHAUL webpage clearly states the destination address is a preference, not a requirement. Yet I was told if the destination change was not made by a UHAUL manager and I returned the truck to another location, I could be charged up to 500 $. Thankfully, when I did get to the manager who could make the change, she was very friendly and made the change quickly, for which I am grateful. This was an unnecessary hassle and marred an otherwise successful trip.Charles W.

The guy at the Boulder Gas location was being very rude. He kept cutting me off as i was trying to explain my situation to him and said that my reservation was never placed.. After trying to show him the confirmation message, he threatened that i go somewhere else. Him and his coworkers would look at me and then tell eachother things in their language and then laugh. i'm never going through those guys againMarc S.
Attendant could not focus on my transaction due to his other customers. Unit did not have the equipment I requested so the attendant had to get it for me.Jonathan W.
I struggled to. check-in via the app and the guys inside had to help me. This made me late and although the truck was in working order it was not clean outside or in the cabin. The back was fine. It could be cleaner and the vehicles are parked in the dirt. Would prefer it to be a paved area.Rudolf B.
I wouldn't recommend U-Haul to a friend or any of my do it yourself clients again (I am a realtor). Wait times on the phone, your U-Haul app ineffectiveness and the difficulty in getting a hold of someone, I will recommend another company where I don't have these issues going forward.DANIEL R.

The app and Uhaul website were very bad. I spent over 2 hours to get things to work. Our reservation was at 6 and after hours support was terrible. I spent over an hour calling customer support but got no help. The only people who were responding then were the online chat folks. It took a long time to find the site to talk to them but they were only slightly helpfulJingbin Y.

The lot was dark as we returned it at night. It was difficult to find a parking spot. The app was difficult to use. Overall this rental went well. Very safe vehicle and easy to drive . The price was steep but we had no other choice.Barbara H.
The gentleman was trying his best. ONE person that was running the gas station and the Uhaul?! Homeless people that were hanging out inside and out of store. Really scary!! Was change 9,8 for gas?! I only drive 15 miles!! I just wanted to get out of store really fast because of the scary homeless person standing next to me in the store. Never came out to look over the truck and see if I even returned the dolly. I don't blame the gentlemen he was trying his best! I blame Uhaul I think you guys need to do better!!Susan S.

The inability to guarantee a rental with a one month advance reservation is extremely frustrating when you have to have a rental.James J.
Truck had water standing in the upper forward compartment and in the front of the main box. The worst part of the rental was that the rental location was changed to a location 10 miles away from the original rental location adding 20 miles to my move because I was doing a move 7 miles in the opposite direction, which should have been a 14 mile move instead of a 35 mile one. Will be renting a truck every week for the next month, will be trying Penske and Budget.Peter P.

When I arrived they said I did not have a reservation even though I showed them the email confirmation. They did not have the 6-foot truck that I reserved. Fortunately, they were able to accommodate me with a box truck. Next time I will rent a truck with Home Depot. I trust them more than this location.Christine R.

I turned in vehicle within 24 hour period. The staffer was only one working and asked me to park van in back because he couldn't leave counter. He then checked my vehicle in 45 minutes later which meant I was charged another day rental an insurance. I then had to call Uhaul for refund. This call had me wait 45 minutes before a rude person answered and took another 15 minutes to process refund!Anthony M.

We came from the airport via Uber and arrived an hour early, a rude convenience store clerk that kept ignoring us to take care of customers. This pick up was out of our way, we understood because of truck availability. Then says he can't give us the truck till 11 the time on the contract. I had uploaded our id's, but he needed to do again. Then goes over the contract when I had already prepaid. At 10:45 he locks up the store and takes us to the back, unlocks a door removes the blankets, and gave us the key to the truck and we had to care to the truck ourselves. In the store he tells me to look at the photos he sent and approve. Terrible service.Susan B.

All worked fine. Only issue encountered was that I tried to call the office from the road because I wasn't sure if I would make it back in time, but then I couldn't connect to a representative or even leave a messageCaspar A.
Took 1,5 hours to pick up, had to cancel the original reservation and make a new one because I couldn't access the first, couldn't contact the call center, and didn't get furniture pads I wanted because I had to make a new reservation. Very frustrating and a waste of time during a stressful moving weekend.Jennifer C.
The truck had a major problem with the fuel tank. It wouldn't take more than 0,09 gallons at a time, which meant I had to constantly "click" the gas trigger over and over and over again every time I filled up. This would also require that I go check the fuel gauge mid-fill to see what the level was at. Overall, the trip took me at least 4 hours longer than it would have otherwise, as each gas fill up took close to half an hour. I was very upset with paying such a high price for this broken truck, which Uhaul must have known about from previous comments. Also, I discussed (over the phone with Uhaul) about being comped for an extra 100 miles (the route I took was longer than the route Uhaul provided) but upon returning the vehicle I was charged extra, and there was no note about my conversation with Uhaul prior to my trip about the extra 100 miles. I meant to send this feedback earlier but it slipped my mind. Thanks to Uhaul's spam email, I just remembered. So...thanks?Kennett P.

Make sure there is lighting at this location. There was homeless people behind the lot and where I returned the truck. It is unacceptable to be scared/nervous during a truck dropoff.Arthur L.

Clean the van adequately. The cab was dirty--traces of mud on the floor, lots of dust and small debris on the floor and in stairwell on driver's side. And, worst of all, a Covid mask left on the floor to right of the driver's seat. It was a dark color and matched the black rubber mat so I didn't see it until I had set my backpack on it. This suggests to me that the van was not cleaned at all between the last renter and myself. I have no confidence that anyone wiped down seats, steering wheel, etc with sanitizer. Not acceptable from UHaul or any other vehicle rental company. Too hard to access the location by car! I drove around for almost an hour trying to find a way to get into Boulder Gas on 28th street. It was really difficult. Just look at a map and you will see why.Susan P.

When I returned the truck the owner said I had an accident and he showed me the spot where the truck was dented. It was total BS. I think he tried to scam me. I told him he was full of crap. He said he didn't check it before he sent it out, just to cover his butt. I don't trust him.Paul C.

Uhaul.com allowed me to do a 24/7 pickup schedule at the Boulder Gas location on a Monday when they are closed for Uhaul. This presented an issue at pickup and a one hour delay of being on-hold calling Uhaul and waiting for the attendant to resolve this SNAFU in the Uhaul system. Ultimately Boulder Gas was excellent. Not so for corporate Uhaul. I'll never get that hour back.Ken W.

The owner is excellent. Very thorough cleaning (including both rental. his gas pumps and the minimart) friendly and helpful as he stepped in to take care of the rental (UHaul's poorly designed app didn't work - again).Jeffrey H.
The truck was dirty when I received it. When I went to check out you accessed a 25 $cleaning fee. You were supposed to call me to dispute the charges but you never did. This is the last time I'll use U-Haul.Justin P.
Online reservation was hassel-free. The attendants were easy and there are gas pumps right there to re-fill the tanks. I would rent from this place again. Again, the overall process was awful. This is the issue with a large company. No accountability and no way to get anything proactively done. Because no one will take ownership. Uhaul has gotten too big to be able to handle volume in a way that is customer service oriented. I will never ever utilize uhaul again or recommended it to anyone. In fact I will go out of my way to let anyone know who is moving to never use your services.Sean P.

I have rented from this location twice. The first time, no problems. The second time, I made a reservation the day before over the phone and told them I'd need it for 24 hours, yet I showed up the following day and they said I had to have the truck returned in 9 hours because they had it rented out the following day. They also had no record, which I doubt, that I had made a reservation the day before. I asked if the rate would be reduced since I'd only have it a few hours, but no. U-haul promote the rental for 19,90 $ a 24hour. The real cost is ~60 $even I almost not used the car. I.e. 3 times higher !!! than what u-haul management and sale promoted for. I have never been in a country , Africa, Mexico or far east where the final cost is 3x more than as promoted at sales. This location has terrible customer service and seemingly no comprehension of respecting u-haul customers' time. There was only one person present who left the counter with my wife and I standing there repeatedly during the process of acquiring the keys. At one point, he disappeared for 8 minutes to help someone find a specific kind of snack from his convenience store, before cashing them out, only to find out that this person didn't want to buy that snack after all. The check-in process took over 30 minutes despite having filled out all the information the night before regarding my driver's license. The confirmation screen for customers to agree to the terms and conditions and for payments was completely broken and everything had to be manually overridden after repeatedly poking the button with no effect. Repeated this three times, despite our knowing that the screen was broken. There was nothing good about check-in. When I returned the unit, the overall return of the unit was fine. Everything in the truck worked, although I'm mildly concerned that I found shot glasses that smelled like whiskey in the cab: which likely implies someone was drinking and driving in the unit previously. In short, after that customer service experience was over, one needed to follow the advice of the shot glasses: hoist up a drink for Harambe ...Steven G.

Reservation at 830. I pre checked. Got there was told they don't open till 9. I left at 910. I had 2 movers waiting for 40minutes I paid them to do nothing. I asked business WHY they didn't call the day before when they ssw 830 Reservation- no explanation and no apologiesHolly W.
I will never and I mean never recommend this location. Why because the Uhaul app does not function fully at this site, its apparently in a dead zone for cell service and there is no local Wifi to use either. I ran into 2 other sets of costumers experiencing the same issue with the app not fully loading or stalling. This was an extremely frustrating and dissatisfying experience. Do better Uhaul, dont approve a site that cannot support your app.Kendra K.
