When I returned the truck the owner said I had an accident and he showed me the spot where the truck was dented. It was total BS. I think he tried to scam me. I told him he was full of crap. He said he didn't check it before he sent it out, just to cover his butt. I don't trust him.

The place is very sketchy. There are homeless people milling all around and bothering the customers. Not a place me or my wife felt comfortable being in.
Great renting experience! Easy to call and schedule within five days of the desired rental date. Easy to pickup and easy to drop off. Would definitely rent here again when needed!
Uhaul.com allowed me to do a 24/7 pickup schedule at the Boulder Gas location on a Monday when they are closed for Uhaul. This presented an issue at pickup and a one hour delay of being on-hold calling Uhaul and waiting for the attendant to resolve this SNAFU in the Uhaul system. Ultimately Boulder Gas was excellent. Not so for corporate Uhaul. I'll never get that hour back.
The owner is excellent. Very thorough cleaning (including both rental. his gas pumps and the minimart) friendly and helpful as he stepped in to take care of the rental (UHaul's poorly designed app didn't work - again).
The truck was dirty when I received it. When I went to check out you accessed a $25 cleaning fee. You were supposed to call me to dispute the charges but you never did. This is the last time I'll use U-Haul.
Online reservation was hassel-free. The attendants were easy and there are gas pumps right there to re-fill the tanks. I would rent from this place again. There are little niggly upcharges, but every rental place does this. ie. $1 environmental fee, $2 Colorado Road Safety Program Fee...?
Clean the trucks prior to use. The floor was incredibly sticky and I was worried about putting furniture on it.
Again, the overall process was awful. This is the issue with a large company. No accountability and no way to get anything proactively done. Because no one will take ownership. Uhaul has gotten too big to be able to handle volume in a way that is customer service oriented. I will never ever utilize uhaul again or recommended it to anyone. In fact I will go out of my way to let anyone know who is moving to never use your services.
On my bill I was charged for a late fee of $20 but I was not late I turn the truck in when the store was still open after only having the truck for two hours
I have rented from this location twice. The first time, no problems. The second time, I made a reservation the day before over the phone and told them I'd need it for 24 hours, yet I showed up the following day and they said I had to have the truck returned in 9 hours because they had it rented out the following day. They also had no record, which I doubt, that I had made a reservation the day before. I asked if the rate would be reduced since I'd only have it a few hours, but no. I was then over charged more than $20. Not happy.

Pretty painless giving these crazy times. Final charges were sent promptly the next day.
This was not the pick up location that I requested nor the one on the confirmation email. When I got there it took us 25 minutes to get the back of the truck open because the door had been painted shut.
Such poor service. I would never recommend this location. Rude and forgot my moving blankets. Also did not tell me it had to be returned by 9 am. He told me I could return any time on the return date. I was charged $40 at he drop off location. I would like this to be refunded since I was unaware.
Check your trucks - I had a deflated tire I should never have had to deal with and instead had roadside assistance while I was still on the lot.
U-haul promote the rental for $19.90 a 24hour. The real cost is ~$60, even I almost not used the car. I.e. 3 times higher !!! than what u-haul management and sale promoted for. I have never been in a country , Africa, Mexico or far east where the final cost is 3x more than as promoted at sales. Robbery and misleading sales. --> Poor U-haul management and sales, but above average represetants at location.
Speed up the process of obtaining the equipment
This location has terrible customer service and seemingly no comprehension of respecting u-haul customers' time. There was only one person present who left the counter with my wife and I standing there repeatedly during the process of acquiring the keys. At one point, he disappeared for 8 minutes to help someone find a specific kind of snack from his convenience store, before cashing them out, only to find out that this person didn't want to buy that snack after all. The check-in process took over 30 minutes despite having filled out all the information the night before regarding my driver's license. The confirmation screen for customers to agree to the terms and conditions and for payments was completely broken and everything had to be manually overridden after repeatedly poking the button with no effect. Repeated this three times, despite our knowing that the screen was broken. There was nothing good about check-in. When I returned the unit, the overall return of the unit was fine. Everything in the truck worked, although I'm mildly concerned that I found shot glasses that smelled like whiskey in the cab: which likely implies someone was drinking and driving in the unit previously. In short, after that customer service experience was over, one needed to follow the advice of the shot glasses: hoist up a drink for Harambe ...
Service was unfriendly and charged me twice even though I returned it on time
Reservation at 830. I pre checked. Got there was told they don't open till 9. I left at 910. I had 2 movers waiting for 40minutes I paid them to do nothing. I asked business WHY they didn't call the day before when they ssw 830 Reservation- no explanation and no apologies
I will never and I mean never recommend this location. Why because the Uhaul app does not function fully at this site, its apparently in a dead zone for cell service and there is no local Wifi to use either. I ran into 2 other sets of costumers experiencing the same issue with the app not fully loading or stalling. This was an extremely frustrating and dissatisfying experience. Do better Uhaul, dont approve a site that cannot support your app.
Location is a gas station and 7-11 like convenient store. Clerk tried hard but had to handle constant stream of customers while trying to help me. He clearly had no idea anything about the U-haul side of things and process. Took 45 mins to pick up truck (that i used for 45 mins) as he was on the phone i assume with his manager asking how to do everything even though I printed and handed him my confirmation details when I walked in. he had me redo the entire reservation process in the store with him again. When I declined the insurance option, he demanded i show him my proof of insurance before he'd do next step. I rent many trucks for work and personal and do it often and have never been asked for that before. He took picture a of my insurance card with his phone. Not sure why? I had to ask several times for my credit card, drivers licence and proof of insurance back as he had them under paperwork he had pulled out trying to figure this all out. I am sure he is a nice guy but the ownership should not have untrained staff trying to learn and handle this while tending to gas pumps and the register. I will either use another truck rental company from now or or at best, rent from a different U-Haul location that only rent trucks.
The U-Haul contract said to "call" this number when I arrived in town, so I did - and the way the guy answered the phone made me think I had accidentally dialed a personal number. I then asked when I could drop off the truck and return two unused mattress bags I had purchased, and he at first said "before 5pm today," then said "until 11pm," and then said "any time." I kept trying to get clarity, and every time he replied with something like "I am just telling you all your options" and "you know what I mean?" After 5-10 minutes of frustration, I said "no, I'm sorry but I do not know what you mean - please just tell me when I can come by and do both things," at which point the guy hung up on me. I tried calling back over 10 times over the next two hours, but he never picked up (which I assume means he was screening his calls to avoid me). Also, his voicemail listed a different number (confusing) and when I tried to leave a message the system would not let me. I think U-Haul should discontinue whatever contract they have with this location - the listed contact's behavior was rude, insulting, and extremely unprofessional.
No appliance dolly as requested. Truck only had 1/4 tank gas when picked up so I filled it. When turned in, person said that's too bad for me I spent $70 filling gas tank, I wasn't supposed to do that. Rip off! I won't be using U-haul again.
