Trailer was brand new, easy check-in and check-out. Un-related to this facility, finding a trailer was difficult and I was given bad information from the 800 #, which was rectified by speaking to someone at one of the U-haul facilities I called. If needed, will use U-Haul again

A 20 $Truck Ended Up Costing Me 129 $For 20 Miles Max And Bringing The Truck Back On A Full Tank I Was Better Off Tying Everything Down To My Car.
CHRIS R.Had numerous problems with the U-Haul truck. Driving from SC towards Phoenix AZ, the check engine light turned on by the time we hit Jacksonville FL. Called uhaul support and because the truck was still running, was advised to get it fixed in Mobile AL. Truck was running rich, mpg went from 7,5mpg to 5 due to the mass airflow sensor not working. Then, on our stint from Houston to ElPaso TX, the check engine light, ABS and stability lights all lit up and we lost AC in the middle of West Texas deserts. Drove for 3 hours since we had no cell service to get the truck repaired. Stopped in El Paso and went to the service center - they told us that the check engine light wasn't an issue and that the ABS and Stability were only for emergencies and advised us to just “not brakeâ€. A: if the check engine light wasn't an issue, how will we know if another fault code is thrown that is an issue? B: if the ABS and Stability are meant for emergencies, what do we do if we have one? Christopher H.Having the reservation moved to a further away location at the last minute was very inconvenient, especially considering we had to pay for the extra mileage and gas. Also, starting off with a full tank of gas rather than an almost empty tank would make it easier to pay for the actual amount of gas used vs trying to guess how much to put in. Or, the customer should get a credit for extra gas left in the tank. All these little things really add up!

It was a good thing that we made it to Wichita. The tire would not have lasted another 50 miles according to the man we turned it into. The only negative was the SC attendant did not provide me with a copy of the contract. He said his printer was out of ink. I only had it on my smart phone.

Michael R.I will never use this facility again. I was referred to this facility because there was a mistake in dates by the local facility in Bluffton which 2 miles away The district manager located a available truck in Beaufort which is 25 miles away. This facility in Beaufort charged me $.99 per mile and allowed me on 20 miles for the move knowing it's 25 miles back to Bluffton. I was charged an additional 40,00 $ Also he stated that the truck had 3/4 tank of gas. When I got in it had a full tank so I returned it with a full tank as I alway return the vehicle with the same amount of fuel that I ve checked them out with. I would appreciate a call from a representative of UHaul corporation to contact me and explain this facilities practice. Very very disappointed
ROBERT K.I had a slight problem with the battery. Each time I started the truck, I worried it wouldn't turn over. At a gas station, I had a kind Coast Guard guy ask if I was going to need a jump start and whether I had cables in the back. I didn't need it as the truck started on the 2nd try. Thankfully I made it to my destination.

The Uhaul location that you recommended me to return the trailer was wParis Island Gateway and wasn't opened on a Saturday at 9:30 am! A local business nearby said they are always late opening and customers always complain. Don't recommend the Paris Island Gateway location to anyone! It was a mess ! The Beaufort Salem Road location was outstanding!
