John JNot a very great spot to park the truck. You have to park in long grass and walk around in the long grass to get pictures of the truck.
ALEXANDER PThe pickup process was poor and took over a half hour; the website kept glitching and taking me back to square one. The truck itself had someone else's socks and kids toys in it and there were loose nails in the back of the truck.

Was not able to advise on gas mileage as since vehicle was empty caused us to buy too much gas for trip (which was not fully refunded)
Roland LParking is on dead end at the entrance to the storage facility. Area that you pick up the truck is nothing but mud. Online instructions said to return the truck inside the gate. There is no way out on foot after parking the truck. I had to call my wife to come open the gate from the outside so I could get out. The check process was long and it was freezing. Had to stand out in the weather for 45 min while attempting to pick up the truck. My hand were frozen by the time I finally got the key and could sit in the truck. Had I know the process would have taken so long I would have rented elsewhere.
Michael MWhen I returned the truck, it was raining, after hours in a deserted place (Down a hill on the side of the interstate). This place did not feel safe at all. There were so many signs to read. I parked the truck, locked the doors and got into the car before looking at a text message asking questions and wanting pictures of the truck, where you parked it, the dashboard etc. The truck was already locked, and the keys were placed in a slot box. I am a paper person. All directions needed to be printed out and handed to me in the beginning of the transaction. I am not tech savvy.

There was no other evidence of other UHauls to let us know where to park it so we did our best. We didn't know if we were supposed to try to get it inside the gate - if we were, we didn't have a gate code.

Alison DIt rained and the wary was at least 1/ half foot to a foot deep so you had to park in a grassy muddy area. It was hard to find the first time we went. The 24/7 self check out and check in was not a very good experience for me it would have been quicker and less aggravating if a live person was there to help with the process.
Virginia RI was there during posted business hours to drop off. No one there. I called the number, left messages, and didn't receive call back. Called corp telling them I was on tight schedule and had to leave. Told them I would take key and someone could come to my house to get it. Was told that would cost me $150. I upheld my end of rental contract and was the victim, yet they tried to put the wrong doing on me. At no time did they say we were wrong - what can we do to help. Terrible customer service. I'm considering taking them to small claims court as I had to completely change my plans to double back and search for a lock box. Suggested they refund me some money and they basically laughed. Will never use them again and will try and tell everyone never to use uhaul.
REVERDY ONever met the owners or staff. Had to call to find out where to put the key. Gentlemen who answered the phone was very nice and helpful!

Thomas SIt was difficult to find. The address was not correct on the contract. After hours drop off was hard to find a parking spot for a 20 ft truck! The address is NOT 854 Hedgesville Rd its actually Rte9 Rock Cliff.
karon hThe site is listed as having store hours and in store check in. This is not available. Instead, we were required to use mobile pick up. Luckily, we had brought a device that allowed us to do this. If we had not had reception, we would not have been able to pick up our uhaul, which was not advertised. Furthermore, the mobile process took over 45 minutes. Our in store check in process normally takes 3 minutes. When we finally got the uhaul, the moving equipment we had ordered and paid for, such as furniture pads, was not available.

Lewis HNobody was there when I went to pick up the uhaul. It took me close to an hour and talking to 4 different people at uhaul customer service before I was able to get the code for the key. I returned the uhaul 10 minuted before my 24 hrs were up, nobody at this location again, so key was put in drop box. When I received my online confirmation receipt I was overcharged due to this location saying the uhaul was returned late, which it was not. I called uhaul customer service, the lady wasn't very nice and ended up hanging up on me. I still have not got this issue resolved. I will never use uhaul again!!
Sarah SActually alert the owner that someone is supposed to pick up a truck and actually open on time so that no one else accidentally gets stuck behind the gate. Also check the back before renting it out so that no previous items are left there.
Jonathan Sbetter location on the maps so people don't get lost looking for this drop off location also would be nice if you guys open a customer center at this location so people know where to go, i got lost for more than 45 minutes under rain trying to find the place because the address on the maps is wrong.
roberto mI had to keep the truck for an additional 24 hours and was aware that I would be charged $40 for the additional day. However, after calling the dropoff location to ask where they were as it was not evident from the road (poor signage) and if they would inspect the truck upon my arrival, they said to "just drop the key in the orange box and we'll check it in later". I was there prior to the 2:00 deadline for the first extension, however, they did not log the truck in as "arrived" until 4:21 PM, over 2 hours later, and charged me $40 for the additional rental day and $28 for the Safe Driving insurance. I request these charges be refunded to me promptly.
Carl JU-Haul did not send pickup email on-time so we had to wait for them to open (late) so we were almost an hour late getting the truck. It had NOT been cleaned out prior to us picking up - there were screws and nails in the box we had to clean out before putting furniture in it. Upon returning the vehicle, I checked my account to find I have been charged TWICE. I left a note with the key at the return. This needs to be returned ASAP to my account. So far ZERO response from U-Haul or this location.
Jennifer EI arrived to return the rental at 3:56pm on 10/24/2017 (and didn't need to return until 10/25/2017) and the gate was locked. I called the number and a man answered. I told him I was there to return a rental and he told me to park the truck off to the side and put the contract and truck key in the drop box. I asked him when did they close and I never got an answer. Not very helpful at all. I called today 10/25 to see if everything with the rental return was OK (gas filled to the proper level and truck was cleaned out) I got a voice recording and left my number at 9:07am and it is now 10:12 and still have not received a return call. Very poor service at this location. I will never go to this location for any of my future U-Haul needs or to drop off any future rentals.

Donna BWhen trying to return equipment the secured gate was malfunctioned. Was unable to drop off at facility. Called uhaul and was directed to different location. Equipment was not checked in until three days later and I'm still disputing the over charge to my cc. Plan to have security camera records from storage facility and recorded phone conversation with uhaul submitted to cc company.

JONATHAN CSign on gate said office hours began at 8am, but no ending time posted. Gave a phone number - I called, and left a message at 11AM, when I arrived. I tried calling that number several other times, only to get a machine. There was a key/contract drop box. I filled in the gas, and wrote a note with the contract that I had scheduled this drop-off at this location to be completed by noon, and dropped off the truck outside the gated compound. Arriving at 11AM one would think that someone should be available. I left my cell number, as well, with the key. No one called me. I drove by the next morning and the truck was still outside the gate. 24 hours after the drop-off did my contract finally get closed out.

JOHN DI have used Uhaul a few times in the past and I find it the best way to go compared to other rental companies. I have never had a bad experience with U haul..
Iris KThe owner was very accommodating. My scheduled time for pickup was 2 hours later than I needed it and he was able to get it to me earlier. He had the dolly and blankets already in the truck and very quickly checked me in and out.

chris aTo be adviced with a hour of my reservation time that the facility would be closed for TWO hours for a lunch break was beyond unbelievable at first but I got there in just enough time after the little notice then to not be aware of adviced the truck I rented did not have a ramp and when tried to call and explain of course no answer do to the extended break I've never heard of but then to advice him the equipment could not get used and still be charged for it after the many years myself and my family has used this company pissed me off and the experience CRAP

Tabatha SWe did a night drop off and had to call the # posted. The man was rude. It was not posted where to park the van. We typically have good experience w/ U-haul, but this was terrible on both ends.
CYNTHIA MThe fellow that runs it was very nice, but he isn't on site you have to call and meet him there. I didn't know this when I first picked up the trailer and while I was out I went buy to get the trailer earlier than I noted on my reservation and arrived about 45 minutes early and had to wait for him to show up. Same when dropping it back off had to meet him at location. Again the fellow running it is very nice, hooked and unhooked the trailer. The only reason I wouldn't rent here again is because no one is on site.
Timothy Wexplain how the trailers' options work. Offer information about using the vehicle trailer. Make the lights work before letting me go find another dealer. I had to open the top of my car to get in and out of it.WOW

Loell PHave someone there when someone is supposed to pickup and dropoff the vehicle. When someone pre-orders a dolly, make sure it is in the truck. Truck was great and reliable. I would use Uhaul based on the truck, not on the customer service aspect.

PAMILA KI wound up returning the truck after the store had closed. The reason for this was that I could not find it and no one I asked was able to tell me where it was other than "Route 9 and Rock Cliff Drive." There is only one small sign that's not really visable and the location itself is downhill, out of the line of vision.
