The staff at this location were friendly and helpful. The trailer that I rented was clean on the interior however it was not clean on the exterior. I booked a week in advance so there was more than sufficient time to get the unit ready. Also I didn't realize that I needed to have a 4 pin to 7 pin adapter. I was willing to buy one but was told that they only accepted cash. I should have been able to add it to my existing order rather than having to leave and come back, I found this somewhat frustrating. Aside from that my overall experience at U-Haul was great.

Lee VI rented the car hauler and the trailer was a bit dirty. The ratchet straps for the front tires were rusted rather bad and were a bit of a bear to get the strap out of. Probably just need a spray with penetraiting oil.
Allan BI booked the Van for a 6:30 pm pick up. The booking email went through confirming that time slot. I show up that day and find out the store closed at 4:30 pm and my ordered was changed to a 4:15 pm pick up with NO call to let me know. I did receive a text link that had the changed time but I always open that link when I arrive at the location prior to getting my rental, not expecting a time change I had no reason to assume there would be any issues. I was able to reschedule the van for the following morning, but due to that delay my family was not able to help me move and I had to do so myself. Very upsetting.
Tyler MTruck was covered in snow and the drivers door was missed aligned so there was a terrible wind noise driving on the highway!!! Couldn't even hear the radio !!! So annoying driving it for 2 hours

Kelly LStaff were very good friendly and very unhelpful. Would not recommend this location at all. There's a lot of other places in red deer and would recommend going to any other one but this location.

Neil SPlease- if the new online return app does not apply to your location- MENTION that to your customers when giving drop-off instructions! It is very disconcerting and time consuming to be contacted otherwise!

Glen TMy truck had a brake light, but was told by front counter person at pickup that they knew about it and was going in for service next week. Was a bit alarming so I would have appreciated knowing that before I was ready to drive away. Otherwise everything went smoothly. Found the gas gauge thing a bit tricky to understand so hopefully we filled it properly, so we don't get charged extra.

Michelle BTrailer was very dirty had broken wires. I picked up 20 mins early and was charged another 24 hours. I had rented moving blankets and two furniture dollies. I was informed they didn't have any blankets and assumed the dollies would be in the trailer. They were not, yet I was still initially charged for both for two days. I had to call U-Haul directly to get that money refunded and had to go to Princess Auto and buy my own. Overall not a great experience!!
Darla KUpon entering the back of the uhaul , it smelled terrible! Very much like rotten meat. Upon inspection the attic space was covered in what I can only describe as have dried garbage bile. I took a mop with vinegar water and cleaned it the best I could, though the smell somewhat persisted.. I would definitely recommend a better clean out before renting out. My concerns were 1) that my stuff going in would take on the smell.. 2) that I would be charged for cleaning something that I did not cause. Thankfully I was not.

Maksym NWhen I phoned your 1-800 number for a quote for a car trailer , I was told a price of $ 168.oo plus tax , I was charged $ 243.oo plus tax . with a total of $ 255.i5 , not even close to the $ 168 + tax I was quoted . For what ever reason the price is $ 255,15 it was not made clear !! . My wife and I have our home for sale and will be moving our selves , this sort of inaccurate quotes will be unacceptable . Thank you .

Guy DThe location was 40 minutes late opening up. There were 5 people (including a group of 5 noisy, young people) waiting with appointments to pick up vehicles. The agent signed 3 people up ALL AT ONCE, and did NOT explain that there would be mileage fee for the truck rental. Due to the wait to pick up the truck, I was late for my appointment, and the rental terms were not reviewed with me. I am disabled, and walk with a cane, and next they sent me to the far side of the parking lot to find the assigned truck. The windows were completely frosted and had not been cleared. I ran the truck to clear the window frost, then a man came and told me they had given me the wrong truck. I then had to walk across the parking area to another truck, through a pile of snow to get into the truck, and again which truck completely had windows all frosted. This now delayed my truck pick-up over an hour. The truck's back tires were not inflated properly and I had to stop after starting on my trip, and check and inflate the tires twice during its use. I have been a customer of Uhaul for many years and have never had such bad service. I want a refund of at least the mileage charges of $443.70. I have witnesses to these comments. Rochelle Callaway
Rochelle CBooked a truck online for a specific location. Received a call telling me that they don't keep usually keep trucks there as it is a newer location but if I called the day before, they would make sure my truck was there. I called the Saturday to confirm only to be told I would have to call the next day at 9am, the day of my rental reservation. I tried calling Sunday at 9am, as advised, spoke to 5 different people as they all said they couldn't help me. Finally called the city location to see if they could help, spoke to the rudest man. So I ended up having to spend way more money than necessary on mileage. They shouldn't have a town option if they aren't going to have trucks when a person reserves. Terrible experience.

Kimberley RThe customer service rep had no personality and was of no help whatsoever in getting the utility trailer hooked up. The hitch end was over the curb and I had to physically pull it out of the snow, turn it around and manually move it to connect to my hitch. The safety chains were too long and I had to figure out how to prevent them from dragging on the ground. I also had to verify lighting operation myself only. Once I had it hooked up, he took a pic of the hitch connection and that was it. Upon return, he told me to put it back to where I found it in the lot. There was still no snow cleared and I just left it where I disconnected it. I will not be coming here for any future rentals.
PETER MYour website is horrible and very vague and incomplete. Not impressed with the account website at all. Prices were wrong and location requirements were terrible. Staff tried to help me but very unsatisfied with the overall experience.

Walter BWe have been using Uhaul for years and this was the first place were customer service was terrible. This was not the first time we rented trailer from Uhaul but it was the first time the guy didn't come out with us to help us hook it up just told us to come to the office to have the picture taken after. There was another couple getting a trailer and we had to help them to hook it up. I won't use this place again.

JOYCE HThe over all experience was good the staff was friendly and helpful I just have one problem I don't agree with how many miles were driven and the charge for fuel when I put back the fuel plus some. The gas the company said was in there already it was 1/8 lower than what was told but I will have to take the blame for my complaints because first I should of checked the km.when I first got in and when I returned it I didn't. and second I should of called him or communicated with the staff and told him that his estimate on how much was in the tank was lower than it was like I mentioned. But I didn't call or did anything about the fuel so being charged with it when I put it all back and then some it didn't change anything so out of all that I would say it was very good service and definitely regard them to friends thank you.

KENNETH SI had the trailer booked for 12:00 showed up to to a note on the door saying " be back at 1:00". Had to wait in my truck for an hour until the company reopened. Then was asked to hook up the trailer myself and then come back in to get the person behind the counter so they could come out and take a picture and make sure I hooked it up properly. Honestly the worst service I've had at any U-haul .

Dennis JYour sales guy was incredibly grumpy, didn't want to help me in any way. Didn't tell me where the trailers were located, didn't offer to help me attach it, didn't tell me where to put it back. Once I finally found the trailer I realized it was tucked behind another unit which made it very awkward for me to back in by myself and try to attach it to my vehicle without hitting the other trailer in the way. The night time running lights on the passenger side were not working too which I didn't realize until it was dark out. I will never rent from here again.

Mykhailo NThere was only 1 person in the office. There was a lineup of people waiting. A 30 minute delay can have a snowball effect for the customer whose employees are waiting for this "tool". There "tool" suppliers like Home Dept open at 7AM for this reason.
