Answer your phone, get a functioning website, get a transaction system that works, have the app have the same features as your website, 24-hour customer service is pointless if you have to wait 30 minutes only to get your call transferred and be put on hold again. Don't switch locations for pickup. This is a huge inconvenience for the customer. Train your representatives better. When Shannon called to tell me my location had been switched, she was very rude and when I asked questions, she would huff out air. Hopefully I will never have to talk to her again. Others have been very nice and helpfulDanette M.
I was set for a 9am pickup for a truck and U-Haul corporate changed from one location to this one. The new location doesn't do electronic/app pickup. So I had to wait an hour for the location to open. Pay my helpers for an hour to stand around and do nothing because of it. If U-Haul Corp would of informed me of that the day they changed my location for pickup, then I would of saved some money. Plus the person that was working at the location did get in early but wouldn't do any truck stuff until 10am.Daniel N.

Person at location was in a janitor room and away from main desk. I yelled â€œhelloâ€ twice. No one responded. I left location. Came back in and finally a worker showed up from the janitor room.David G.
We reserved a 15' truck and an appliance dolly. When we arrived we had the truck, but they didn't have the dolly available. So we had to go to another U-haul partner location to rent a dolly. Which added a couple miles onto the truck that we hadn't planned and added time overall.CESAR B.

Well it start with the truck 1/4 tank of gas do you know how hard it is to put it back to 1/4 tank .end up leaving it with 1/2 tank at 2,93 a gal not fare. second the radio didn't work and last I had to wait 8mins to rent truck really just charge me the time or have me come back early and no one there at drop off 3:45pm you close at 5pm but you want to charge me 20,00 $ I have picture's of everything.Fredy R.

During pandemic , trucks not clean and sanitized at all. Took me one hour to sweep and mop out back of truck , customer before me left it FILTHY ,FILTY ,talk to clerk about, said they don't clean and mop out trucks , told her need a maintenance guy to do it in PANDEMIC. I should be given credit for this , front of truck filthy also , swept up a shovel of trash between front and back , use bleach water to sanitize front and back of truck , she gave me a wipe ( really ) ..I use U Haul all the time , wouldn't tell nobody but you'll about this , still would recommend you'll to someone . Not a complaint , just a good subjection for health of customers with virus killing peoples . Thank you BarbaraBarbara B.

My first stop after I pick up your vehicle should not be the gas station becasue there is less then 3/8 of a tank. i bring it back full. I should get a full tank of gas when i pick it up.Raymondralph R.

Was sent from the bolingbrook location because they messed up my reservation then, the joliet people couldn't do any better for me and least compensate the extra miles i had to drive because employees in the company messed up and the truck was dirty with wrappers.christian M.

Sent me to the wrong location I was prompted to pickup at dk on the other side of town which had a 10 footer I was renting. Tells me to go to self storage world after I already told the lady on the phone that they told me I can't get a uhaul there. I'm then late was not able to do what was needed to be done. There was a rotten bag of potatoes behind the seat and a old tire that was ripped my family grabbed thinking it was mine but it was trash we have to pay to dispose of now! I was inconvenienced when picking up the truck. I was due a mile credit and none of the computers seemed to marry the corporate office notes that credit should be applied to my bill. The reason for the credit was because there was no truck available in Channahon near my home causing me to go out of my way to pick one up in Joliet.Queen R.

The location was open and fully staffed by 9:30 AM but we could not pick up until 10:00. I understand a start time but I don't understand how two employees can sit and stare at us waiting for 30 minutes. They did not explain the fact that the truck was practically at 1/4 tank and I should have received a fuel credit for that. The last thing I want to do after starting late (because Uhaul moves my location from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM) is go fill up an empty truck! The bed had some garbage in it when I got it too.. I've used them in the past for U-Haul rental and for storage, and they've been very good. Two glitches this time: (1) I arrived at 2:10 for my 2:00 pick-up, and the lone staff member (did someone else not show up to work?) was on break and didn't return until almost 3:00 -- lucky I had a good book to read; and (2) on the trailer, one of the chains' connections to its hook was not secure, and she was unable to fix it (when I got it home, it took me a couple taps with a hammer, and all was fine). But, to reiterate, all my past experience here has been positive.Clement H.

I think the rating on location is one thing but your pricing is very expensive I think if your charging per mile that should could cover the gas. Not pay for gas on top of mileage.Michelle C.

The employee should actually go out and do a walk around inspection of the vehicle instead of saying there are stickers on and damaged spots, so I video raped the whole truck before leaving because not all damage was marked, and padlock given with truck did not work so when dropping off after hours I could not lock back door which had a dolly inside and even though you have to replace the gas used the truck should be given to you full and not on a 1/4 tankFrank R.

We used the online pick up feature. We reserved 3 weeks in advance, did the check in the night before and arrived at the pick up location on time only to find out that â€œa piece of equipment had not been assigned to our reservation.â€ Frustrates, we called the number provided on the error screen and were told we would have to wait until the store opened. When it did open we didn't have any issues, the woman who worked there said she had put the keys in the lock box for us and everything but that the U-Haul website must not be working and that it happens a lot. Why offer a service like this if it doesn't work??? Extremely frustrating. Next time we will look to rent elsewhere and we have always been loyal U-Haul customers.Katelyn F.

The furniture dollies we requested were not available, and we were not told this in advance upon receiving our confirmation. The trailer had grass clippings inside of it. The trailer was also extremely difficult to manuever (coming from a very experienced driver).david L.

The 3 girls at the front desk all looked mad and distracted and didn't even look at us , a stranger could've handed her my ID and she wouldn't have noticed, the van had a giant dent on the side, no one came out and inspected the van with us.. they literally handed the key and said good day. I took a picture with a time stamp of the van so I wouldn't be charged for the damage. I will not be using this location again.Jonathan R.
