I was advised to return the vehicle with the fuel back to where it was when I picked it up. Many of the reviews I read before booking with Uhaul commented that they were charged for fuel even though they had returned the vehicle full. With this in mind, I returned the truck with the fuel gauge needle reading higher than when I started yet I was still charged for fuel. I chose Uhaul because of it's proximity but in the future I will drive further to avoid giving Uhaul my business.Michael W.

The web page was a complete disaster. On my android it would not do location services at all. It would not bring up location request. On my wife's iPhone it would not work properly either. It It wasn't for the very helpful women on the phone I would not have been able to pick up the truck after hours because of the poor functionality.Brent D.

Although this is the new thing to do everything online. This was the worst experience I have ever had with uhaul 4 hours trying to get this truck as the persons with the lock box code seemed to be giving us the wrong code. 4 hours to finally get into the truck. U-Haul was my biggest stressor for this move.Dale E.

The location called SEVEN AUTOMOTIVE..located 2763 10th sideroad Beeton Ontario L0G1A0 SHOULD NOT BE CONSIDERED AS A U Haul vendor. For the following reasons. The online check in process for pick up could not be done as the location did not show up on U HAULS GPS.Had to call U HAUL international in order to complete the pick up process. It took over 1 hour to complete the check in as the locks would not respond to the codes given. They were hard stiff and were rusty. The lock box for the keys were so high up reach..thank God there was a rickety chair to stand on.. we are tall and could not reach. The U HAUL representive gave 2 codes for 2 locks. Neither woul open. We were on a time frame to get to our destination which was 6,5 to 7 hours drive. With all of this we were VERY VERY LATE getting to our destination. Very frustrating when UHAUL could NOT /locate the dealer..Three of us set our phones as described and no go...in addition this location was closed on the Saturday. Our suggestion when getting a UHAUL truck check that the dealer is not in a remote location in the event this happens. The lock box needs to be accessible and not up a extremeky high and locks are maintaind and easy to operate. Make sure you go to a dealer that is open on the same day you are picking up the truck in case there are issues. Customer service was helpful..and returning the truck was a breeze. I believe it was important to express in detail what happened. Hope this review helps.Anthony S.
The mobile app was awkward and hard to use and nothing worked as it should. The staff that helped me work through the app issues were fantastic. Another horrible issue was the fact that the parking lot was not plowed and the van got stuck immediately is likely an act of god, but could have been cleared by the the owner of the shop the truck was parked as many plows were out clearing snow that morning. After spending roughly 2 hours trying to get the keys out of the tiny lock box and another hour or so trying to push a van out of the snow with my daughter that I will never use U-haul. I will be passing this experience on to my friends and family. Thanks for listening to my rant.Chris M.

There was a lot of confusion on the online app. It had two different locations listed as my rental was updated via phone conversation but not reflected in the links provided. The online registration did not upload my required documents, and I needed to spend over a half hour on the phone to fix all these issues before I could leave with the rental. **Positive - the agent over the phone was great!** When booking, due to availability, I was offered a 10' truck in lieu of the cargo van I had requested and was told the mileage per km would remain at the cargo rate- This was not reflected in my invoice and I was charged $1,11/km instead of the 0,69/km I was told. I was also charged a fuel surcharge at $1,75/L for returning it minutely below on the gage as to where I received it.Karey C.

Was waiting in the parking lot over 2 hours because app was not working to return truck online. Customer service was no help and after 2 hours of waiting hung up on me. Was over charged for usage. Luckily after hours of phone calls to company, I was reimbursed half my money because of mistake of rate charges. Will not use U-Haul again. Horrible experienceMichael T.

Uhaul was in fine condition, nothing wrong with location itself, however, if you are doing self pick-up, expect 1-2 hours delay calling customer service and sorting it out since my and another phone both were unable to get past location confirmation.Gavin G.
Nothing wrong with the location itself - what was absolutely terrible was the online truck pickup as the location was closed.the site location services did not recognize we were there yet we were sitting in the truck!! Twenty minutes waiting for call Center and then forty minutes with support person and they were not able to fix the problem on either a Samsung or Apple phone. Finally put us through to someone who checked us in over the phone and gave us the lockbox code. An hour lost out of the moving day and in the hot Sun.Lucas M.

Online check-in process at this location delayed our move almost 2,5 hours because the GPS would not recognize our location even though my wife and I were standing next to the truck. We are teksavvy individuals and all the support staff were of no help trying to get it working over the phone or through chat. We used 2 different smart phones, tried multiple browsers, ensured location services were turned but still could not complete the check-in process. We will never again rent a U-Haul using 247 share unless there is someone present at the counter. We were also charged for furniture pads not in the truck and never received our refund even though an online rep stated otherwise. The drop off location still tried charging us for missing pads.Robert G.
The entire experience was frustrating and disappointing, up to and including being billed. U-Haul changed my pickup location to a farther distance from both my old and new residences, increasing the cost of the trip before it even began. U-Haul (not the location) held up the pickup for roughly an hour due to system issues. The vehicle had the wrong information in the system for the odometer, but the system returned an error when I attempted to correct it as directed by the system and the pickup attendant. The vehicle was not as clean as described, and the gas tank was not at the level indicated either. I returned the vehicle with nearly 1/8 of a tank EXTRA fuel above what was required and the invoice STILL stated that I owe for fuel. The odometer readings in the invoice are also fabricated, which I proved both at the time of pickup with an attached image as well as replying to the invoice to the indicated email address. Needless to say, this is the last time I will ever use U-Haul as the company clearly only wants to fleece customers in the most dishonest fashion from start to finish. Let me know when my invoice is correct and you have refunded the difference. I had a short trip, but a lot to move with only two people. This last experience has been the worst experience out of all the UHaul rentals I have had in the past in both US and Canada. There were lots of issues with the pickup location and the truck itself. I was renting a 26ft from suburbs of Toronto to Ottawa west, first and foremost I was given a truck that was supposedly only available about 80 km away from my originally intended pick up location (on my drive to Ottawa I saw atleast 4 newer trucks). The day before the rental I called the pickup location to confirm if it's a newer truck and I wanted to make sure I don't encounter any issues during my 560+km journey, and I was assured it was a new 'Ford' truck. Pick up time was 7:30am and the location opened at 8am so I opted for TruckShare 24X7. Hearing the above assurance I took a leap of faith and agreed to the new location pickup which was a good 1 hour drive away for me. Next day when I reached the location to my surprise it was a truly 'antique' GMC truck that was no where close to new. i was definitely assured of false promises. Check-in: When I tried to checkin around 7:10am that day, the truck share app refused to acknowledge my location and was giving me issues. Being on call with customer support for about 45 minutes, didn't help either and it ended up being 8am when someone from the pickup location turned up and helped me check in over the counter. When asked why I wasn't able to checkin, in the conversation I came to know the truck was never ready Truck Share option in since the keys were inside the location. What a waste of time!!! This eventually caused me to pay an extra hour to the movers, and when I contacted UHaul for this, they gave me a mere $100 refund which doesn't even cover the one extra hour of movers, Now, onto the truck and equipment itself, the truck was old, not clean and had about 160k miles on it. The wheel alignment was off, and driving that truck for a good 6 hours caused severe arm ache keeping it straight on the road with a full load in the back. The shock absorbers, were almost same as not having any. They did not have furniture blankets, furniture dolly or even the simply dolly. I had to be satisfied with one applicance dolly and a furniture dolly that was full of grease which ruined mine and one of my movers clothing. Fuel economy - close to NONE, for the approx 560kms I put on the truck I spent almost 200litres of gasoline in it, which translates to about 2,8kms per litre and UHaul advertises their trucks to give around 4-5 kms per litre. With the current gas price almost costed me $200 in gas only. Why false advertise all this when you can't fulfill your promises. Opting with UHaul this time costed me more than hiring movers one way. I don't think I will opt for UHaul again, but would rather opt for a little more expensive but atleast reliable options, rather than being in such a position in the future with long haul moves.Nitish M.

Booked for evening pickup at 8:30pm. Got there and could not pick up as they were not listed as a remote pickup location. Took an hour to get through and discuss this with customer service. Had to return the next morning to pick up the truck, thus, delaying the move.Antonio D.

Provide a truck closer to where you live. We were told the day before that we had to go to Beaton for a pick up. This was inconvenient and we had to rearrange our plans. When you are moving it's already a long, hard day and we didn't need this short notice change.David D.
Please pave your parking lot! It's full of potholes with standing water in it after a good rain. Surely, that isn't safe or healthy to be around. Secondly, it would be useful to give a quick demo on how to adjust the side mirrors, open the back door, lights etc. Don't assume that everyone has driven one of those vehicles before and will automatically know what to do.Anjana T.

This was a horrible experience. Got to location and according to mobile GPS stated we weren't at proper location. Called Uhaul and was on hold for 30 minutes only to get hung up on. Proceeded to call again and took over 3 hours on the phone before I could get going. The business had the truck keys hiding in the tailpipe of the truck!! Crazy! I don't agree with being charged full amount for all the inconvenience this caused in my move by delaying it. Never will I be using UHaul again when I need a moving company.JENNIFER L.

We rented a 10' truck on a Sunday when the office was closed so we used mobile pickup which went very smoothly. I spoke to Seven Automotive after booking online to confirm the details of my pick up. I recommend doing this to make sure your reservation is confirmed and everything is in order. Excellent experience.Bryan B.
Main Uhaul site was horrible. Had to call at least 10 times to sort the reservastion out cause the site said we didnt even have a reservation. Couldn't check in or check out properly cause the site would just go to 404 pages. Got laughed at on the phone by employ when I asked how to check in cause the site was down. They just laughed and said the site is working. Basically got no information about other questions. Employs seemed to know as much about finding things on the site as I did. I would suggest actually having the orange U-Haul designated key drop box. I would also suggest completing the orders in a timely fashion, not 5 days after and subsequently charging the customer for that oopsie. I would suggest when you answer a phone call from a customer regarding rental equipment, you would make a note or at the very least remember.Jody C.

There were no issues with Seven Automotive, they were excellent, the location address may be better identified with the road name. Gas attendant in the village of Beeton didn't know where the 10th Side Rd. was located and he was right on the 10th Line. There is a 10th Concession Rd. very close by as well, I called Seven and cleared the confusion .brian W.

My driver had to go look in the parking lot for the truck. The 6 blankets that I ordered and paid for were not in the truck the mileage and gas info on the paperwork was not correct. There was no windshield washer fluid in the truck, so lucky the day was not bad that it was needed. Had to call UHaul head office where the staff was very good at helping as best they could and was given a $50 discount for the problems, BUT STILL HAVE NOT BEEN REFUNDED MY MONEY FOR THE BLANKETS THAT WEREN'T THERE $10. I feel I should still get more refund for the problems as it took an hour and half for my driver to find the truck and fill out the info on line before my driver could leave with the truck. Why can't the info be sent to the person before picking up the vehicle. Oh and the best of all was that when I ordered the truck to be picked up in Newmarket they had to go to Beeton to pick it up. Not a company I would recommend to my friends at this time. Another problem with the rental is that the truck mileage is in miles and the mileage charge in Canada is done in KMS which is very confusing.. Totally frustrating day dealing with all the problems not to mention having to move items as well.Jennifer P.
