What a rip off!! For 1/8 of a tank of gas you charged me $30 fuel charge plus $ 86,19 for 44 liters of gas. I put $33 in the day before and that was from almost empty to 1/4 back to were it was. Now you charged $116,19 for 1/8 tank. WHAT A RIP OFF AND I WILL NEVER USE YOUR SERVICE AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
JAMIE HOur reservation was changed the day before. We arrived at this location the gentleman who greeted us did an amazing job trying to sort us out. It was a little bit of a wait to sort the computer stuff out, but in the end we got our truck and were on our way. The billing was a little bit askew, but within 5 days it was taken care of and adjusted accordingly. Overall it ended up being a good experience.

LITA TI ordered a 6x12 enclosure trailer for one possibly two days I asked the owner about payment for the second day. He said no problem we'll see you when you get back The following day I returned at 8 am to pay for the second day owner said come back when you're done you can have it for two more days if needed. I went back around 10 o'clock to rent a dolly and was heading to Ottawa. About 20 minutes later the owner called and said my trailer was going to peterborough and I needed to be bac by noon He said sorry but this was booked online Why didn't he check this when I went to see him on two occasions I was not to happy to turn around and return a trailer that I was told in person I could have for 3 days Would not deal with saint Andrew's u haul ever again No issues with trailer as such though

Robert HEven though my 6X12 trailer with ramp was an hour late I can't blame the owner as it was a fault by the last customer. The trailer did worked excellent for what I needed it for. I would use u-haul again.

ryan bI had an issue with the text based vehicle inspection. There was a minor discrepancy in one of the pictures. When I tried to submit a new photo the system was "loading", for over 10 minutes. When I phoned your help line I was given the runaround and abandoned on hold.
brian lWanted a Van but couldn't get it because I only had a visa debit with me. The cost for the van would of been 149$ . Instead I ended up having to get a 15 ft truck and it cost 277$. Plus 100$ for gas . So not happy about spending 120 more . And way more for gas . I drove out of town to pick up the van I reserved ended up with a the truck when I could of gotten one of those in town. So payed for an extra 40-50 kms that I did t really have to pay for. Plus all the extra mileage because it was more then the van was .

Gheorghe DOnly after I received my receipt I learned that I have been charged a CDW that I declined during the booking process. I would also prefer to receive a fully fueled vehicle so that I don't have to guess how much gas I have to add later. I was aware that I would return the vehicle with 75 km driven and refueled a bit over 10 litres which brought the gauge right to where it was, yet the receipt shows it was only at 7/8 although in actuality, it was between 7/8 and full, as it was when I picked up the vehicle, And then the receipt shows that there is a $20 fee for returning the vehicle after hours, however I did return the vehicle after hours but I wasn't charged this fee. Which I appreciate but first off, there was no mentioning of this fee during the booking process and secondly it doesn't make it any easier to understand the invoice. Those are minor issues though and the overall process was fairly easy, so it still deserves a four star rating overall.

Lana BI had to pay before I took the truck, when I returned the truck and was looking to pay the difference I was told not to worrie about it because he was busy with personal things, the following day received a phone call from the business asking me to pay more, he was completely unprepared with the amount and information, spent my hole break at work waiting for him to find it, then had to spend 20$ in fuel to go back to pay the remainder of the bill witch should have been done 2 days previous! Very poor business ethic!

Michele CMy experience with the person at this drop off location was great. However, I will never be recommending U-haul to anyone in the future. I reserved a 26' truck online a month in advance to move my family 500 km to our new home. The day before I was scheduled to pick up the truck I was told that only 15' trucks were available. The person told me that when you make a reservation only "equipment" is guaranteed, not a specific size or type, that specific equipment is subject to availability. When I read this during my initial booking I took that to mean that I would have to drive to a location other than my preferred location to get the truck I had reserved not that I might not get a 26' truck at all. This policy is absolutely ridiculous! While I understand that trucks can break down and accidents can happen, how can it be that on the day of my reservation there were no 26' trucks within a 500 km radius of the GTA? How is it that U-haul cannot/will not guarantee the truck that you reserved?!?!?! You have to specify a drop of date and location when you get the truck. Shouldn't this mean that U-haul knows where their trucks are? Why give the option to book a specific truck at all then? In theory you could "reserve" a 26' truck and then get a pick up truck. How is a pick up truck the same as a 26' truck?!?!?!?! In my case, I managed to get a 15' truck which I guess I was lucky to even get. It completely messed up my move. I was planning on moving everything in one day, during one trip with one truck. I had to ask friends and family to drop everything and bring their pick up trucks/trailers to help make my move possible. Even then it wasn't enough, I had to make another trip 500 km each way to get the rest of our stuff. That is completely insane and unacceptable! Moving is a stressful and difficult thing to do especially when moving 500 km away. People need to and do plan things well in advance as I thought I had but at the last minute U-haul pulled this ridiculous policy out and I would have been left stranded had it not been for friends and family. Just despicable....... I'm sure it's all in the name of profit and since U-haul is really the only game in town they can get away with it. No wonder there are so many poor reviews of U-haul online and looking back on them I should have realized that U-haul was a poor choice. I will certainly not be using U-haul in the future and every chance I get, I will be telling everyone that will listen how terrible U-haul is. U-haul, you should be ashamed of yourself.... If a reservation is truly only for "equipment" and not a specific truck size you should remove that as an option while reserving. I assume that you don't because then people wouldn't book with you. Gambling on truck availability is not something that most people would want to do. Similarly, to the truck experience I had reserved 120 moving blankets for my move. The person on the main U-haul line assured me that the pick up location would have 120 blankets. Unsurprisingly, upon arrival, only 24 were available. The person at the pick up location said that they've never had 120 blankets available..... I was able to make 24 work but again, why allow someone to book something that isn't available and then expect them to accept it. What would happen if you booked a certain size of storage room? Would you arrive with all your stuff and be told there was only a closet to put your stuff in? Or worse yet, what if you have booked moving help expecting 4 strong adults to help you move and instead you get 4 feeble 12 year olds?!?!?! Again, U-haul you are just the worst. You make promises; sometimes they work out and sometimes they don't. You don't have to worry about when they don't because you're really the only option and you know people have no other choice. Or you wait to tell people that you're not able to fulfill their "reservation" until it's too late for them to make other arrangements. I have a few more choice words for you U-haul but will refrain as this is a public review. Instead I will say: U-haul, give your head a shake and think about if this is how you would like to be treated while moving your family. I think that clearly, the answer is a resounding NO!

Avesta HMarcel, the vendor, was friendly, helpful and patient as I navigated my first rental experience through my cell phone. Pick-up and drop-off were seamless. I appreciated the fact that this site offered the 9 foot van, as I am not confident driving the bigger trucks.
Karen LU Haul never contacted us about our reservation. So we did not have a truck ready there. Not happy with our experience on the reservation side as we were almost left without a truck. The representative from St. Andrews was able to get us a truck lucky so they were great.

Erin MThe location wasn't central to the area I needed the van for. But that's because there were no vans in the immediate area. Understandable but my pickup and drop off mileage was effected by the location which added costs. The proprietor of the location was great and courteous. His garage was clean and well organized. The vehicle was dirty on the outside from the day before and apparently they didn't have time to clean it. Understandable but it did make for some dirty clothes while moving. All in all however the experience was fine.
