The first location that I went to where i was told i had a truck reserved, claims the truck broke seconds before I got there. The second location smelled like cigarettes and the lady struggled to get through the process of renting me out the truck. The truck had dirt in the floor and smelled like weed.

Julius W.When we received the truck it appeared fine, but as we began to load it we discovered the floor inside the truck on one side was coated in a clear, slippery substance. It smelled like wet, dirty dog inside, almost as if someone had been bathing dogs in it and spilled shampoo on the floor? My husband was nearly injured trying to keep his balance while loading a heavy item and slipping on the nasty floor. We had to clean it to be able to keep using it, and still couldn't get all of it off the floor. I called the 800 number. After being on hold for nearly an hour and being transferred multiple times, I was told all they could do was have a local sales manager call me, which could take up to 72 hours. That was 5 days ago and I still haven't heard from anyone. We returned the truck early, and requested some kind of remuneration for our trouble. The store rep said we'd have to call the 800 # for that. So the moral of the story is the national level people pass you off to the local store, and the local store passes you off to the national reps. Neither plans to do anything to provide actual good customer service. We will never rent from U-Haul again!!

Elizabeth J.I purchased the “SafeMove†insurance because it was explained to me that it would cover the truck and my personal belongings and that Roadside Assistance would be included as well. However, the roadside assistance does not cover most roadside issues. One tire got stuck in the mud and still had to pay $325 to have a tow truck get it moved!!! Horrible experience!!!

Lillian V.Great store and location. However, it would be a great thing for a maintenance tech to be onsite to actually thoroughly check out each and every vehicle. 1.) The motor had a roaring sound and loud ticking noise and 2.) The left front and rear wheel seals had leaks that need to be addressed immediately.
JEFFERY S.Reservation was a pain, the manager at 7399 US-64 E wasn't of much help with the reservation's issue. His lack of courtesy, empathy and clear communication only pushes costumers to find other company. The same thing happened at 5315 Summer Ave location with one of the ladies over there. Frankly, these two incidents in the same day leaves a negative impression of U-haul's costumer service. Luckily, the lady at 6303 Summer Ave. was very kind and professional.

Craig F.This location is apparently closed on Mondays, but that was not conveyed to me! I drove the truck and auto-carriage to the site for a drop-off, only to find they were not open. Fortunately after lots of phone calls, someone came around and let me leave the rental pieces.

She read the contract details to me like it was painful for her and the truck had bits of trash both in the cab and in the back of it. SHAUNELLE L.I had issues finally getting a pick-up location. We scheduled our pick-up at the Stage Road location, very convenient to our home, a week in advance. The day before our p/u, our location was changed to an inconvenient location. My wife dropped me off at work and I was going to have to UBER to the new location. On the p/u day, our location was changed yet again to a location further from my work. UBER would have been expensive, so my wife picked me up from work and took me to the new, 3rd, location. I don't understand why vehicles cannot be shuttled from one location to another within the same metropolitan area. After we finally received the truck, all went well.

Yes I was running late due to moving across town and picking up my things from 2 places moving into one but once arrived back at storage locker and uhaul on summer, brandy greeted me at the front door to get the key by first words “you are way late “ and I tried to explain the issue she took the key and said umm hmm and shut the door not a thank you not a how are you not a how was everything, she has no customer service. Will never go back there

Bridgett D.Maintain the trucks better, 27 foot truck with bad breaks. The lock on the back sprung back really fast and smash my finger! For trucks that big a back up camera would be a good safety precaution. The truck was filthy in the inside trash on the steep rail. The window crank handle fell off when we closed the door! It doesn't have a parking place where the customer can pull out a 27 foot + truck without having to turn around by the grace of God and not almost destroying the truck, building, gate and everything else in the vicinity.

latoya B.I ordered a 20' truck, appliance dolly and pads one week prior to needing the vesicle. The main uhaul called the night before to confirm the location. The day of the rental the location called to explain that they didn't have the appliance dolly or 1/2 of the pads. The only option they gave me was to go to another location to get these items. I instead cancelled the pads and dolly. Why rent a week in advance if you can't have the equipment ready? I've used u-Haul a lot overt the years, but it may me time to look at other options.
James F.Furniture dolly was unusable. When I tried to move it for the first time I noticed the rubber was broken off the wheel. I also needed a hand cart with a nylon strap. The call center agent said this location could rent one to me. When I arrived, there was nothing available. However, the Storage Locker employee was very nice.
Thomas J.I reserved 2 dozen furniture blankets and that's what was confirmed the day before pickup. At 2pm on pickup day, I received a phone call informing me that they could only find 18 of the 24 furniture blankets that I reserved. When the lady asked me if that was ok, I told her that I reserved what I needed or what was confirmed and she proceeded to tell me that the person who confirmed my reservation didn't even work in the store and could not promise me anything. I think it is very unprofessional to blame her not having enough to cover my reservation on the person who confirmed my reservation not even working at her store.

Trailer Jack was broken... had to pay another customer $10 to help me move the trailer tongue because the girl behind the counter couldn't do it. Also, she had never dealt with Express check in before and didn't know how to access my info on her computer.
