An open-style trailer was okay for our purposes but a 4x8 closed was the desired product- I can't understand why there aren't more available when there obviously significant demand, I'm sure uhaul and it's dealers are losing out on business. I made an online reservation at my location of preference (320 Queen St E, Toronto, ON M5A 1S8) at a walking distance near my house, but I was redirected to a different pickup location 15 min prior to my reservation start time. This new location was a 20 min drive from my house, which cost me extra time and money to pickup the truck. If you guys make no effort to secure a vehicle for customers that reserve online, I don't see the point of making online reservations and scheduling moving based on that reservation. I had already booked the moving elevators at different condos, so I had no choice but to pick up the truck at the new location, where I had to take an Uber to get to. Please enhance your reservation policy so that there aren't other customers that have to go through the inconvenience that I experienced.Mu Sung K.

I had previously had a booking for the same time at the Gerrard St location in downtown Toronto. When I went to pick up my vehicle the place was closed and I had to call a number they left on the door. They told me that they had lost the keys to the vehicle I was supposed to take the day before, failed to notify me or arrange an alternate vehicle. Told me to call the 1 800 number and then hung up. Was fortunate that I was able to secure a booking at the greenwood location where the service was great.Lawrence S.

The U-Haul booking system is unreliable. I wasn't booked at 318 Greenwood Avenue but 219 Gerard street east. When I first arrived at 219 Gerard St East, no one was there. So I called and the man picked up the phone and checked my reservation number: 24624428. He told me to go to 318 Greenwood Avenue because they run out of 10-foot trucks. The thing is I called to check everything the week before my pick up and nothing has flagged to me. Besides, I don't get any emails about changing locations. In the end, I've no choice but to go to 318 Greenwood Avenue by Uber as I don't have a car.Yin-Ping C.

There was someone at the location at 7:30, so I was able to take the vehicle for my use before 8am. As a result, I returned it earlier than planned (ie at about 3pm instead of 8am the next day), and an individual who was waiting for a vehicle took mine. The truck was missing the dollies and blankets I ordered and paid for, but I found them (except for the appliance dolly) sitting in the open in the parking lot, fortunately, so retrieved them before I left. My biggest problem was with head office, who charged me for a full tank of gas even though the tank was only 1/4 full when I picked up the truck. Still trying to resolve this, but not an issue with this location specifically.Ian T.

We tried several locations to drop off the trailer. They seemed pretty unsafe. We tried parliament street , gerrard street and 2 others. Was told to just leave it in an alley with no lock and they would get to it later. We didn't trust them so we kept looking untill we found 318 greenwood. Uhaul should have a minimum standard for all locations. I took photos of a couple of locations if you are interested.robert M.

The guy was rude and does not know what he was doing! We tried to call the site and they did not pick up the phone several times and when they did, they told us that the U-Haul we reserved was not available and asked us to call the head office.. Anyway, we showed up and there is a UHaul sitting in the garage (that was reserved for us!!) Then he wanted to charge us again in person, even though we have provided our credit card information online and should be charged through the online booking system. Also, he did not give us the utility dolly we ordered online and we were still charged with the extra dolly rental fee. Overall, it was just a HUGE MESS!Jason G.

Guy tried to overcharge me for fuel. Truck was on a slope, I told him to move it on to flat - sure enough fuel indicator moved to correct spot. I was also supposed to pick up truck from a differnet location. Uhaul changed location 2 hrs before i was due to pick up truck. very disappointing. Brakes not good.Tim M.

My review is not of the location; it is of Uhaul. I was not satisfied with the booking process, nor with the online experience. I think the location and the dealer were probably fine, but because he too had to deal with the online Uhaul platform, it created frustration for both of us. I have yet to receive a receipt of my transaction from Uhaul. The dealer, who was willing to give me a printed copy was unable to do so because he couldn't pull up my contract. Something is grossly dysfunctional with the online system which shows up in both booking and billing. I wasn't confident that there would even be a can available for me when I showed up that morning. The Uhaul guarantee is certainly not a guarantee. Yes, you give $50 if the van isn't available but, c'mon, when it's moving day, you need a vehicle, not $50. It's hard to recommend Uhaul based on this experience.Douglas M.

The UHaul outlet is great all around. The website however isn't working well for us recently. Not sure why. When you try to edit the reservation, like changing times, or adding insurance. It just cycles back to the 2- step verification when you try to edit. Fixing this issue would really help your clients and also your staff.Toby M.
