TAYLOR RI was lied to and overcharged. Honestly I should have known from all the 1 star or less reviews. I'll never use U-Haul again because of this singular experience. I'm ashamed of myself for thinking my experience would be different. I feel cheated and scammed.
JACOB LNo one there and the app to self check kept glitching and cut me off before I was finished uploading pics of the truck. No clear directions where the drop box for the keys was. Super confusing!!
EDWARD DNo personnel on site and repeated phone calls were not answered. The exact address of the drop-off was not accurate. Eventually someone answered our phone call and walked over to the drop-off site to quickly receive the returned trailer.
Arnaud DThe truck was beat up and barely functioning. Returned it same day, sore closed at noon and returned it by 1pm. Was told by the clerk that I wouldn't be charged an after hours fee and Monday saw I was charged an extra day. Called the store and the clerk was no helpful at all said that's the way it works. Place is a scam.

Ashley WThe entire point of renting this was to tow a trailer. I took time off of work, drove to Kansas City to move this trailer. Anyway, UhAul changed my pick up location a day prior to my rental (after reserving it almost a month in advance). I picked the truck up and realized that two of the four trailer hitch bolts were missing and then realized that the hitch is in such a tight little space that unless you have a specific type of hitch, it's too tight of an area to hook up your trailer! Lastly, I put in more gas than what was required but they don't care about my expenses, they charged me for being over my miles (50 alotted miles) even though my place of pick up was further away than the initial location that I had reserved it from! Screw UhAul!!! Never again.

LeBaron MVery hard to find office, two entrances marked 'Mail Center', Uhaul return was not clearly marked. Employee said he would send us an email when he checked in the truck. We never received anything.
Jeremy PThis location seemed unprepared for U-Haul service. The attendant was very unclear of where we should leave the trailer, and ended up directing us to leave it in a lot with no other equipment. We were unable to disconnect the trailer because of unusual or faulty equipment that hadn't been explained on hookup (the coupler needed a Jack and none were provided nor did the receiver have one). While the employees on staff did try to help, they had bo idea how a trailer hitching system worked. We ultimately were able to get help from other strangers in the parking lot to Jack up the trailer to disconnect. It was a very troublesome experience that was not this location's fault, but I chose them because they weee open during the hours we would be returning so we could get personal help. The staff does not know anything about U-Haul equipment and is unable to provide assistance.
Lana EThis location charged me for gas even though I put gas in it when I was done. I filled it to almost half, although when I picked it up it was only on 1/4. This location also charged me a cleaning fee because I left a chip bag in the Uhaul. It was dark when I dropped it off so I thought I had gotten all the trash. I'll never go to this location again. How do you rent a uhaul for $60 and end up getting a bill for $179.
Monica KEvery time I rent a truck there the total price ends up being way higher than quoted online. I don't understand what's going on. One time I declined the insurance multiple times on my phone and then I was charged for it anyway. This only happens at this location. It's really not fair because I did not agree to pay that and they charged me for it anyway. I've asked about the charge multiple times but I haven't gotten a response. I don't think I'll be renting from there again.
Melody FWhen returning the parking spot is too damn tight to park. There were cars parked in the spots assigned to the Mail center making it much more difficult. The parking spots are too small and didn't even fit the truck we rented fully.
Sasank PI understand that location is mostly a mailing center but if it is possible to use as a drop off center for vehicles, they need to have better drop off instructions. Although there were U-Hauls around, I was very unsure and not confident to leave it without confirmation.

Talia CTo start the vehicle was missing the passenger side mirror, making it impossible for me to drive safely without a driver behind me guiding me the entire way. Inside the vehicle there were shattered glass particles as if someone had broken a window and just left the glass inside. Also the passenger door wouldn't lock shut, any amount of pressure from inside would swing the door wide open. When we went back to return the truck, the parking lot did not have the space necessary to park the truck safely. We had to park laterally to avoid hitting other cars and be far enough in for vehicles to drive past. Overall terrible experience, if I wasn't in such a hurry I would've reconsidered.

ermas aPerson in charge tried to be helpful but the return process was a huge pain and it took a full hour to drop a 6'x12' trailer. The lot was disorganized and had no room to maneuver a trailer. Had to leave at a grocery store lot nearby. At the grocery store lot the app wouldn't recognize my location and froze. Person in charge was running another business so he had to stay with it & couldn't assist outside. Not his fault. Just a lousy setting in a congested area.
Todd WReturned the U-Haul early, rented it for four hours but only needed two. Got a phone call and an email two hours after returning the the truck stating it hadn't been returned and will be reported stolen. Additionally, I never received a receipt to know why I had been charged an additional $20 over the quote even though I went under the estimated mileage and returned the truck with the same amount of gas as when I started.
Andrew CWhen I went to return my rental, the spots (marked specifically for U-Haul) were obstructed by parked cars, so I couldn't get to exactly where I needed to. Instead, I had to park in an adjacent lot a few feet away divided by a small, one-lane alleyway. Maybe implement, at this location at least, some "No Parking" signs around the designated U-Haul spots.

Kathy MThis location was a drop-off only, and the drop box was too far away from the parking lot used to leave vehicle. The drop-off app didn't work well at all! I had to go through about five times taking pictures, since the app kept crashing.
Todd WBill was amazing to work with!! He communicated very well. He also promptly fixed a fuel charge that should not have been there in the first place. Unfortunately, I did not have the same experience with another employee there after she tried to charge me a late fee even though I was told I could return it late as long as I called, which I did. Eventually, she fixed the issue but it was not a smooth interaction. She did not want me to put blame on the person who told me to just call if it was late but wanted me to take account for not reading the fine print in the contract. I appreciated her finally removing the charge. I communicated the entire time as I was asked to do so should not have been penalized for being late. I was originally told we are not charged by the hour, but rather by the mile. And if I was going to be late, I needed to call, which I did. I admit, I did not have a chance to call until about 45 minutes after my return time because we were in the middle of a very stressful move and frankly, I had no idea what time it was in the moment of moving. Time slipped away. In the end, Bill was a wonderful employee to work with. The manager on the other hand could have been a little more empathetic.

JACKIE AThe parking situation is ridiculous! Uhaul needs to block off their spots and a few spots around their spots so that returns are easier. I've driven large trucks many times and this was very difficult to maneuver the truck back into a spot without hitting illegally parked cars and/or blocking a fire lane.

emma dThe pickup and drop-off process was super easy and the staff were friendly, however I noticed the next day J was charged incorrectly for an after hours return fee. I called and spoke to a nice gentleman who was happy to fix this erroneous charge.

Cheryl MOur experience with The Mail Center was incredibly frustrating and not consistent with the customer service we have experienced with U-Haul before. Our reservation made through the U-Haul website was not honored by The Mail Center and one of the staff members was extremely disrespectful to us. Instead of providing quality customer service and attempting to remedy the problems posed by The Mail Center, she acted as though WE were the problem. We were told we needed three people physically present to rent a truck that one individual would be driving/riding in, the price listed on our reservation was not honored, and we received broken equipment. We spent nearly two hours in The Mail Center attempting to advocate for ourselves and left feeling completely disrespected and ripped off. We would greatly appreciate it if an official U-Haul representative would reach out to us. Merci.

Joseph MThe entire experience was awful. I get that you guys kind of have a monopoly on the truck rental game, but do better. I choose mobile pickup, which didn't work. Get a call from the store because we have to go inside, even with mobile pickup. So, I don't know why it's even an option. You system for fuel replenishment is a scam. Why you can't just give people a full talk of gas and have them bring back a full tank of gas is beyond me. Instead, you have this system that makes it impossible to know how much gas to actually put in, and if you guess wrong, you charge outrageous fuel prices to bring it up the rest of the way. Overall, the process was difficult, tedious, and left me feeling like I was scammed out of extra money because of your shady practices.
Morgan PAsk to extend date to next morning guy on the phone told me it was okay and I confirmed twice that I could bring it the next day. Got a call three hours later and they told me that I had to bring it back in an hour or they would report it stolen. I told them that he confirmed with me to bring it the next day and they basically told me that I was lying and he never told me I could do that.

STEPHEN BHave the rented vehicle on location, show driving cost in total for those that book online, have a working lock on the back of the truck, truck pick up when truck stalls out, and reasonable unlimited options so that people don’t walk away paying $250 for 4 hrs of use.
ROSS HStop cheating the customer. I clearly selected the option online that I do not need any collision damage coverage. The manager sneakily added the charge without asking me.
