Pickup location was changed at the last minute, and the pickup time was changed, which caused me severe scheduling problems with my loading help. My reservation was for Columbia CT at 7:30am, not Tolland. Pickup was changed a SECOND time later in the day.

Charged $200 more than initial contract. Called location four days earlier than return and told that the truck was all paid until 9-25 and the only added fee would be any miles above initial contract. Charged for 4 more days upon return of truck

Making reservations online was poorly integrated with the franchise locations. It took multiple phone calls back and forth over the course of a week to confirm that there would be a truck available to my desired pick up location. A failure in supply chain management and a source of unnecessary frustration to the me the customer.

My UHaul truck was not available. The Citgo representative, as well as myself, were not able to contact nor access the reservation customer service. The Citgo person managed to eventually contact UHaul and provided a smaller truck. I had to make several trips due to the truck size. I contacted UHaul via email about the sub standard performance from a UHaul prospective. But I have not heard back yet. Email sent 8/31

The process to get the rental and return it was OBNOXIOUS. I was on a time crunch, and it took close to a half hour to even get approved for the rental (and yes— it ate into my time with the vehicle), and requiring two references who need to answer the phone at time of rental is absolutely ridiculous. Dropping off was no better as I had to take a bunch of pictures. Not such a big deal but I had to spend 5 mins looking for the non-obvious drop box, then once I reached the drop box I am told I need to walk back (big parking lot) to the vehicle and take pics. The whole process needs to be streamlined and expectations of what I need to do should be communicated up front so I could have minimized the time it took to do stuff and have given myself extra time to prepare for all the hoops you have to jump through.

Online pickup site was not working. Wish there is dedicated Uhaul service counter cause the counter is combined gas station/smog test/auto repair. It makes them super busy.

It seemed a bit over priced. I think its shady that u post signs for "a day prices" and when someone needs it for just a couple hours and they go over the hour that they say u charge them for another day, um no that does not seem right and that is not good customer service. The mile prices alone are pretty high and to add an extra day for an extra hour is ridiculous. If they are being charged that price for the day we should be able to have it for that long no matter. Other wise u should be charging hourly and daily at different prices. Just doesn't seem fair. I wonder if all u haul places do that!

Fix your phone app, did not know my location so the app failed. Picking a location went right into creating ANOTHER request. Not amusing and VERY frustrating. Want to go mobile? fix your app first

Your contact center service is abysmal. On two occasions, within 24 hours, prior to pick up I tried calling to add a driver (your app made me feel I would be cancelling my existing reservation, leading my need to call). I was hung up on after a 10 minute wait the first time. Second attempt had a young man answer after 8 minutes, and after explaining what I wanted I was back on hold for 7 more. I then hung up. I'd also like to point out the counter service at your Manchester CT. location is reprehensible. As I entered there were two customers ahead of me. I was there to reserve a truck. The counter agent left the building, and did not return. 10 minutes later I walked out, sat in my truck, found and downloaded your app, registered, and searched and made my reservation in Tolland - and your rep had STILL not returned. The young woman at Tolland Citgo was what kept me from going to Ryder. Next time I may just do that first.

The scheduling of trucks is terriblezl and the system needs to be revamped. I was told I got a 10am truck and got called the day of, after I'd booked it a week in advance, to say it was at 3:30, ruining my moving plans and left me scrambling for an alternative, luckily I found the Tolland facility and the young lady behind the counter was delightful to work it

When we picked the U-Haul up we were told we had to bring it back with at least 1/2 a tank which is what we returned it with, but I was told I would be charged $30+ to get it filled to 5/8th of a tank, I wasn't going to pull the U-Haul back out to put gas in it so I agreed to the charge. Just frustrating because we were told something different at pick up. Otherwise everything was perfect

They didn't have the dollies that I reserved. The guy at the counter was lovely and super apologetic. U-haul shouldn't allow rentals to occur when the item being rented isn't available. This was a major inconvenience.

This is the second time I've used this location in the past year. Both times have been a very pleasant experience. Doing the reservation online makes renting a vehicle very easy and the attendants at this location are very personable and friendly. Thanks again for a great experience.
