The van was duty and had broken glass and mud and I hope I wasn’t charge because of that because they didn’t clean it before I rent it
Valerin CisnerosI had the trailer rental scheduled for 4:45 pm. I got to the location and the employee couldn't find the trailer. He had 3 with expired tags on them, but mine was missing. Turns out the GM took my trailer to Huntsville and I had to wait over an hour for him to get back and then I had to load the car on the trailer in the dark. It was a huge disaster and to be frank, I'm still extremely upset about it. I will never go back to that location. Never!
Nathaniel WhitakerOne of your employees charged me $130 extra for a utility dolly that was never on the truck & we didn't need to use because we had our own. When I called to resolve the issue, there was no manager in the store & was told I can't even speak to someone about the issue until Monday morning. Super frustrating.

I understand this is not an issue with the local store and that it is an issue at the corporate level, but there is no effort being made to make the process more convenient for customers. I have used Uhaul for years and this has me reconsidering whether or not I will return.
GREGORY PEARCYThe truck I received was parked in the back alley. The associate handed me the keys and my furniture dolly and told me the truck was "out back or somewhere over there" and pointed in a general direction. It was not pulled up and ready for me to drive. It was in the back alley parked in the mud, covered in leaves and looked as though it hadn't been washed in months. The windshield was dirty and there was no washer fluid to clean it. The associated, working alone, voiced being disgruntled. He asked another customer if they were spiteful and recommended a way to get back at U-Haul. His general demeanor was unlike what I had previously experienced at this location with another associate. It was very off putting.

There were no lights on when loading our inside storage unit and it was very difficult for to drive around with the big uhaul due to all the Decatur utilities vehicles blocking access. Also a lot of confusion with the rental. Should have been better explained.

I get there and it's a virtual site and the computer kept trying to rent me a storage unit. Nobody in sight and no trailer outside the gate. So I called customer service and told them if my situation and expressed how I would not use U-Haul again. I had to drive 30 min out of my way and then ba k 30 min. Meanwhile I had hired some hole to move and they got some free money waiting on me. I am not real happy about this. The young man at the location I was sent to was very helpful and made things better. Nonetheless I am out money to pay help to stand around. I was told I would get $50 back we will see. That will make it some better but I'm still leaning toward your competition.

We reserved the truck online and were charged for things we did not order, but, when the truck was returned a credit was issued.

Due to me truly not needing this unit until a month later! To keep me from paying a whole month in advance for nothing. If u get what I am saying! Something told me to go check on the unit one day. Mind u that the (14) still wasn't up yet! I get there & he wants to play crazy by putting his head into his hands. Then, say (O' My God) one of the other guys has rented out your unit to someone else! I honestly feel that he truly knew that my unit had already been rented out! So I had to go to an entire other storage unit that doesn't even belongs to UHaul. In order to have my belongings stored away! So this location will never receive any more of my hard earned money ever in life again I promise you on everything I love!

Only the auto transport was actually logged back in on the day I turned it in. The truck sat for 4 days (charged me) extra before being logged in. I turned in the trailer on Saturday and the auto transport on Sunday. When I asked about the receipt for the trailer the employee was very confused, he said he wasn't expecting the trailer. I eventually showed the employee the order and he emailed me receipt for both the trailer and the auto transport. Also, I had to park both and unhook them as the employee said there was a lot to do for one employee. I was the only customer in the store Sunday.

CHRISTINE STASEVICHIn the Beginning I had several hiccups with the app I was not able to pick up with app , but I was glad the guy finally showed up at the vape shop and he helped as much as he could, so the app needs improvement especially if it's not working like in my case… Than the return was not quite as easy because the gate was closed we waited for some kind of code but it took a while for someone to reply to the txt msg 30 min. To be correct, our time was running out because of return at 9 am. So we decided to return to the only open lot in town, where we should have taken it in the first place, it was close to our new home meaning not a lot of extra miles. Next was the Gas we left on a bit over of a quarter tank my Son took pictures , that's how we returned the truck, on Monday we never where asked to send pictures or called by UHAUL like it said when we answered all the questions to turn in the truck…than we found out we got charged of course to fill up … that's when I decided to call customer service and I was pleasantly surprised they refunded me all the gas back thank you that made this little nightmare a bit better situation, the customer service rep was very polite she kept calm and knew what was important on the call … Thanks again… hopefully this helps a bit to improve some of the issues with pickup and return …

(packing, auto accessories) The storage unit was fine for a climate control while the others were regular units while I was transitioning and moving family. U-Haul doesn't refund early vehicle returns, that's too bad. U-Haul was available when I needed them!

She could not give me an answer to the issue and said "she couldn't help me" in a less than desirable tone and demeanor. She also said that she would have the manager call me for further clarification and help that she could not provide but I was never contacted. Taylor was always helpful through email and the in-person staff was always accommodating, helpful and friendly. One bad experience was all that I had.

I called the after hours number to report in on why I had to keep the trailer and extra day because I couldn't get in my unit. They told me I wouldn't be charged because they was at fault but then the next day I was charged $80 extra bucks on my card I had to go into the office not once but twice to have them move empty trailers out of the way where they parked them in front of my unit. I was suppose to be about to get my uhaul at 2 am but wasn't able to pick it up until 9 am. Throwing off all my schedule for them move. The whole thing using uhaul has been a nightmare Next time I will pay extra to get an istorage and Ryder truck. I was very disappointed on uhaul. When you went into the office or store on 6th ave. The customer service was very poor. I stood in the store over 15 mins with no one to be found and they was all seen out back smoking. This store needs new management or employees. This is getting ridiculous

Billing is bizarre...account online shows NO balance due but then assessed a late for not paying! "There was no balance due the 21st. You didn't have a balance until the 22nd. But you didn't pay it so there's a late fee." Well if NO balance is on account why would I pay? If there's a balance DUE the 22nd, then it should show that online from the 23rd of previous month until date due! Seriously?! But it was convenient to home and available when I needed it but I bought a small shed and put up at home b/c it's much more convenient and affordable!
