It wasn't necessarily the store. I made arrangements to pick up the truck 3 mikes from my house. I was emailed Saturday that my pick up and drop off place had changed from athens to Decatur due to the truck having issues. I called and was passsed around for over 2 hours. When I finally got to speak with someone about the additional mileage I was going to be charged for, she was the rudest person I believe I have ever talked to. I didn't change the venue y'all did due to equipment issues. The distance from where I was to pick up and drop the truck off was a total of almost 30 miles. My total usage was 71 miles. 30 if that was having to go to the new dealership. I just didn't think I should have had to oh that mileage due to an issue with a truckTara J.

Took 35 minutes to get someone on the phone,after returning trailer. Returned it after hours. Called next day and your computer is a waste of time. Put someone there to answer the phone.GEORGE H.
The staff was friendly and very efficient. I can't imagine that they could improve the experience at all. I was amazed that they got my trailer outfitted so quickly and had everything together. Much quicker and nicer than other UHaul locations I've patronizedLEO F.
Personnel in two different locations were extremely helpful, friendly, professional. My only complaint was the 800 phone number and website. If I called the local number, I got the national number, which overall was frustrating and ultimately not useful. Sometimes I was able to do what I needed on the website, but not always. Personnel training is top-notch. Techno stuff needs work, but would definitely recommend the two locations in Decatur, AL.JAMIE K.
I only have one concern about the van that I used. I cheked and double checked to make sure that all the doors were locked before leaving. Yet, at my destination the rear cargo door was unlocked. And then on my return journey in spite of double checking the doors, I was motioned to by a passing car and when I stopped to check the van, I found the back cargo door slightly ajar. I secured it and continued my trip. Thankfully, when I arrived at my final destination all the doors were still securely lock.ANITA R.

Taylor Davis was very rude, she basically lied to me when i ask about a truck being available to rent for the day. I basically had to call from her store and have a rep locate me a truck at her store. she could of at anytime stepped in and helped me, no customers in the store, but she didnt. The absolute worst experience. They computer system was a mess, long wait to get the truck. They said I could drop it off the truck after hours with no extra charge. When I dropped it off the website to check it back in tried to add a bunch of extra charges for just that. When I said that I did not agree with the charges they said they would contact me in 72 hours. Three days latter nothing, they already had my upfront payment so I did not worry about it, they did not contact me in 72 hours so that upfront payment should have been the final bill. TWO WEEKS LATTER they with NO notice or contact they pulled out a payment from my card. Now looking through my account it looks like the upfront payment never went through. Just how much of a mess is your company for the prepayment that showed up on my account to just disappear to show up TWO WEEKS later with not notification and for a different amount though the new amount is less however that happened. And three days after I turned in the truck they sent me a text to ask if I had returned it because they could not find it. How does it take THREE days to figure out one of your trucks are missing, (it was probably not missing they probably just did not update their computer that it was returned, as this was the issue that happened when I came in to pick it up), and instead of trying to figure out where they messed up first they decided to ask the customer if they know where the truck they turned in three days ago is. My experience felt like they had no organization and that no one was completing all the steps to return/rent the trucks out to people, and the website to pick/return the truck is an absolute dumpster fire with no consistency or quality control. The computers had gone down that day (which had caused the delay in me being able to pick up the truck) so I am going to give the benefit of the doubt and hope that most of this mess was do to the reboot of their system not going well. As someone who works a lot with computer I know how much of nightmarish mess it can be when systems goes down/ get out of sync/ crash. But also as someone who works with computers and spends a lot of time working on usability and testing, it is unacceptable to have website/computer systems that are that much of a mess. Though that issue is more with U-Haul itself then the actual location. The interactions with employs while in the store, while not anything great, was also not terrible. Over all, next time I move (may that be as far into the future as possible) I will be trying a different company to hopefully not repeat such a mess.Kaden B.
