After calling in advance to ensure the reserved trailer was available for pick-up there was still confusion at the desk and the pick-up process was prolonged and stressful. The trailer coupler was damaged and very difficult to use. I requested a locking mechanism to ensure the trailer would remain attached to the vehicle. The attendant said there is a lock designed for this purpose but the U-Haul location did not have any available. The trailer was clean and, once safely attached to the vehicle, performed well. The drop off process was efficient. Although it was difficult to communicate with the attendant because he was on the phone (ear buds) for the entire length of our interaction. There is an excellent variety of equipment to rent.

Safety chains on trailer should be chains not substituted with wire that won't catch dislodged trailer safely. This is an odd and questionable mode to the safety equipment on the trailer.

Positive: Good selection, good counter help, very helpful staff in yard. Negative: Process to get equipment (trailer in my case) took a long time considering all of the paperwork is done ahead of time online. I think it could be faster and smoother. Also, I would not buy additional stuff online. Twice now I bought something (hitch the first time, rope the last time), and it did not appear in the system. Each time I had to spend 5 minutes to figure out what I bought based on SKU number and cost. Next time I'll just buy what I need when I get to the place.

Truck couldn't be found where they said it was going to be, gave me another truck and the windshield was leaking inside the van and splashed all over me and my stuff in the front seat (and my staff member in the passenger seat). The email/texts were never sent for the return process so I wasn't able to return the van after hours. When I tried to go via the app on my phone I kept getting an error code over and over again.

I rented a 5 x 8 cargo trailer which suited our purpose very well. It was unit AV1013B. However, there were clear signs of a lack of maintenance. The hitch tightening device was dry and rusty and in need of lubrication which I did myself when getting the unit home And the roll-up door also needed lubrication which I also did (and improved its performance). There were several broken down bearings hindering the doors passage along its track. The door does not run smoothly and evenly and will eventually fail if not repaired or maintained.

Inconsistent customer service. my driver license expired and the customer rep went above and beyond to help resolve while the other was adamant that only a physical copy was acceptable. thankfully the better rep was able to help me get on my way with the rental. app seemed poor quality as the checkout process caused the app to crash multiple times, causing me to be unsure whether i successfully checked out or it would remain open and i would be billed extra. Merci.

I went to take the truck from the center I appointed. Because it is third party place, the person there did not provided me keys. I went to have mobile pick up but couldn't because the car was not available for online pick up. So I had to go to another place to pick up by a Uber . Call center sent me on 1115 Warden. All these things was not my fault. But because of u haul, I paid extra to Uber and lost lots of time. I want some of my money back.

I was charged for two days for a trick that I returned within 24 hours. The staff now claims that their standard rates for a day don't apply because you have to stipulate how many hours you are renting the truck for and the standard rates for a day would now only apply to those stipulated hours. I was charged twice the amount. This is simple loot.

Im giving U-Haul another chance from a previous unresolved grievous. Hopefully the manager at warden and 401 will do the right thing in returning my late fee charges for room 143. I did prove I did my due diligence on the matter of payment. No response from her yet. I'll see. I'm hope and rooting for her.

There are more affordable, bigger units, and those with elevator access available at competitors. U-haul storage was not my first choice, but due to limited time to move-in and return the truck I opted for a more expensive, smaller unit, and without elevator access, instead of going to the competitor. If I had more time, I would have opted for another storage facility.

Staff was super accommodating and helpful on both ends of our truck rental (St. Peters and Toronto Warden Ave.). Special thanks to Mary, Jushi and one other lady whose name I did not get at the 1555 Warden Ave location in helping us as we repatriated to Canada after 30 years abroad.

My only con is the process to pick up the truck. I reserved the truck and storage over the phone, which was a a breeze but when you get there it took an hour before I was able to get the truck, super painful.

The fact that this facility did not have an elevator was a surprise. There were no ground level units left. There should have been some flag during the online booking process to let me know that the facility did not have any kind of elevator. It made the move-in process very tiring.

Your staff is terrible. I rented a truck with NO GAS they wouldn't allow me to change. The truck died in the middle of the road. I could have died. I call only to be on mute. SHAME ON U. even if my storage experience was 100 u still get ZERO STARS!! Booooooooooooo!!

The gas consumption appears to be UNREASONABLE, probably due to rough recording or poor vehicle condition. In total, I drove 16 miles, and had to fill well over 2 gallon gas (8 liters).

I had several reservations cancelled due to the inability to book more than a week in advance. I had a difficult time with the app, having to change my password repeatedly . The storage information did not show up on the app with my truck and move company reservation. Most importantly I was told clearly the first month was free several times until I got to the facility. I drive a fair distance for that be wfit and could have paid to choose another facility much close to me.

I have nothing to complain about my almost 5 years at the Warden U-Haul storage location. My only suggestion, is they need to have more people working the counter stations. Especially at the end of the day near closing time. This is my only criticism. Other than that, I couldn't be happier with my experience with U-Haul storage. If they had a larger storage unit , I would have continued to be a customer.

Very poor customer experience. Calling into the store is literally useless as you will sit on hold for the duration of your day. Sat on hold for 55 minutes, enough time for me to refill fuel and return the vehicle as opposed to trying to extend my rental.

the customer service was ex excellent, however when I went into storage unit I could see on the bottom of the unit mold spores I could smell it and as I was moving I noticed that the mold was on my couch my mattresses my dresser my deep freezer and as I unpacked some of my clothes and art work and picture frames with wood framing I am very dis pleased as I thought there was tempature control in each unit as well as I was paying insurance on the unit

When I arrive the storage unit was not able to be used because it was locked and it was closed off for rodents so I had to waste time come back the next day and book enough storage and I was misinformed

I had reserved online a particular storage unit base on it's size. At the time of booking there was one unit left. I had the option of paying at the counter or completing the transaction on line. I choose at the counter. When I arrived I was told the locker wasn't available anymore. I assumed they meant because of me. The staff said no, someone else rented it. When I asked for an explanation they said is was on first come basis. I don't understand how you can book online and have the store override the transaction. As I already booked a truck I was forced to take a smaller unit.

1)Light was required in the storage since it was a 24 accessI selected...I was there until 9pm and I had to use my phone light. 2) When the rain fell water settled in front of my #700 storage and was a Hazzard for me.....with my in and out of the storage, the storage became dirty and I feared I may fall. Access to the outside unit is good. Unit very spacious. But outside area is not well lit at night. I had to keep my car headlights on to see what I was doing. Not clear on how security is maintained at night. No security gates. Also I would recommend dropping the $10 charge for 24 hour access since anyone can get into the area at any time of day or night so what are you paying for?

Had a problem with a default lock that was sold to. The keys would not open it and got stuck. They took a few days to resolve the issue and wanted to double charge me for a new one. The sales rep who said that she was acting manager wasn't very nice. Thank God I'm out of there. Wouldn't choose this location again

I opted to move my stuff to another non-Uhaul facility as this one I found to be not only overpriced but also not maintained well. My boxes were damp and right from my first day there I had a terrible time trying to close the locker door (I also had two friends attempt to close it and both struggled as well). Additionally, every time I opened the door or shut it a bunch of sawdust (our what I believe to be sawdust would fall on me). The containers were not in good condition and I was not willing to risk having my stuff in there during the Winter months.

No elevator's!! Had a heck of a time trying to carry stuff up then down those stairs. Dolly's where provided both at top and bottom of stairs but useless on stairs. Not informed of this when I accepted a 2nd floor unit. If I had known stairs were involved wouldn't have accepted a unit on the second floor.

STOP IT! management: wake up to the fact you don't understand what customer service means. Get retrained so that the staff don't get the full brunt of the criticism and harassment because of your blindspots. I would never buy a franchise for that reason. The company is losing millions and they don't know it and probably do care. So sad. Get the president to become ab undercover boss if he/she really care about the huge losses.

I was given an all-in price on the phone and I arrived with my own lock which was a high quality lock. When I came in to rent the van body, I was told I was required to purchase and use a Uhaul lock. That lock was junk and did not even secure through all three portions of the van body door fastener (but my own lock did). The staff were rude on several occasions. additionally, I was taken for the first time, on a golf cart, to see the unit, the driver smashed the roof of the cart on the opening garage door and debris flew at me. The 'gold' lock that goes on the left side of the unit is also a joke. One swing of a tack hammer would open it. Obviously this is just a means of pressuring people into paying more for 24 hour access in addition to forcing people to buy a crappy uhaul lock. The location is not secure and my unit leaked, damaging a $4000 mechanical massage chair. I have, over the years, rented many, many uhaul trucks, mostly for business purposes, but sometimes for personal use (as I did to fill up my vanbody storage rental). I did not rent from uhaul when I emptied it out. Because of your unfair, gauging policies, rude staff, inadequate facilities and the generally poor service (staff would not even provide me a paper receipt a email only) uhaul has lost my business permanently. Your service is terrible!
