I went to the u-haul on warden ave on Wednesday. They tried to help me. The shop was busy. My appointment was for 2:15. When I got there they were still working on a vehicle at 4:00 and weren't even finished. So I canceled the appointment. Got in touch with the U-haul on station road. They slotted a time for me. They started on time and finished on time. I wish I had gone there first. Kim the manager set everything up for me over the phone and it went like clockwork. I was in when said and out when they said. I will recommend them every chance I get.

The trailer on the booking site showed a trailer with a full ramp. the one i received had a folding rear gate but no ramp which made my purpose of picking up a tractor challenging. I actually damaged my car unloading trying to work with the lift gate as a ramp. This needs to be clear

The process to rent a 9' cargo van was very simple and straightforward, and the staff at this location were professional and helpful. I have no complaints, and no recommendations on how to improve. Just keep doing what you're doing!

All the staff were very nice, there was not really a sitting area so they brought us chairs. Quick and efficient. I had to call back afterwards with an issue and the fellow helped me over the phone and said to call back anytime if it was not resolved. The customer who was there with us told us that he had been to several U-Haul locations and this was the best!

Staff were exceptional. All/Website was having issues the day of booking. I called the location and they ensure my reservation would be made. Yes!!! Stop forcing people to use the app and sign up for it!! I called an agent last night to drop the truck off. Everything was great the agents were great at pick up, the cleanliness of the truck, but when it came to dropping the truck off i was not happy, i had to roam around the building for almost an hour tryna figure out how to drop the truck off with out using the app. Stop forcing people to use the app, instead place a picture of a QR code by the drop off area so folks can use the website instead. I am sure I'm not the only person saying this… Thank you Matt

I was going to rate excellent, but this is what happened to me: even reserving the truck one week before, the day before they sent me a message saying the pick up location was 36 km opposite to where I was moving… they didn't have any similar options for what I was looking for in the location that is 5 min from where I was living. After 20 min on the phone and 3 transfers someone helped me and "gave me" the extra mileage. Next day when I got at the place I received a message someone was going to call me 5 min before my pick up time. I got at the location and the person there told me they didn't have my truck because the person didn't drop it off at the right place. She told me to wait for a call, nobody called me, I called U-Haul and then they sent me to another location 10 min from there. I called the next day and got a discount for the inconvenience. Other than that everything was nice, good truck, clean and new…

I booked an appointment online and was confirmed for Monday March 11, but then was advised that they never do hitch installations on Mondays at that location. Is there lack of co-ordination between central online booking functionality and the local branch? So was rescheduled for Wednesday and had a great experience today.

The service provided by the receptionist was excellent, but the service provided by the person responsible for delivering the truck was poor. We rented an articulated truck with a trailer for the car, but we only received information on how the trailer for the car worked after I went after the delivery person and asked. Merci.

I guess my only complaint is that I registered for the self-serve mobile phone rental but when I went to pick up the truck, I still had to go in and lineup. I have to say that was a bit of a turn off, but the staff there from the people at the cash to the people outside, made it a pleasant experience. I would definitely return to this location absolutely!!!

Made arrangements to have the hitch installed at 9 am. Had to wait till 9:30 as that was the normal time when the technician started work. So the improvement is to not book appointments when the techs are not yet at work.

I picked trailer with a ramp and said it was for a motorcycle which I needed. When I picked up the trailer did not have a chock which I needed for the motorcycle. Got One that I needed good. Not your fault but it is a bit of a hike for me to pick up and drop off trailer because our local dealer didn't have one Also couldn't get the app to recognize my phone location during after hours drop off. Tried 3 or 4 times using your instructions but couldn't make it work

There was a specific worker at this location I cannot remember his name but I believe he's a manager and it starts with a "T" he's also a manager there. He was extraordinary. He went above and beyond to make sure I was satisfied and it does not go unrecognized I appreciated everything he did to make my experience a good one.

I am one payment behind because I had to go on unplanned LTD. My pay dropped considerably but I stayed with UHAUL over 5 years. I feel the penalties for late payments are ridiculously high and the letter sent out threatening to taking your belongings is extremely upsetting, especially for someone like me who suffers with severe mental and medical ailments. Remember your dealing with some people who are depressed and suicidal. I would appreciate ifsomeone from head office can call me at 416 885 9104 asap so I can elaborate on the effects on me and get some reassurance rather than multiple, very negative letters, via mail and email several times a week.

You need to put signage in front of the loading/unloading to prevent people from parking there all day. It's unnaceptable that I bring my 15' U-Haul on My scheduled moving day and there's a bunch of sedans parked directly infront of the unloading area preventing me from parking my vehicle and making unloading somewhat easy. Other than that my experience was great the guy at the counter was very helpful and allowed me to pull my truck up onto the grass as no spots were available to park. Please correct this or you will have many unsatisfied customers and possible vandalism issues at hand.

Even though the place was clean and all that, the service was HORRIBLE! I was called the day before my move out of city to be told that I had to return the truck within 24 hours. Ajax storage was actually able to extend it to 48 hours, but the traffic on the way back to the unit on Saturday took three hours to get through, then three hours to get back home That was a six hour waste of time after a full day of unloading a truck When I asked, for some sort of compensation, Kim sent me an email saying that "my invoice was correct and nothing was going to be done for the inconvenience" I hope that I never move again as U-Haul added so much stress to my moving day that I would rather pay a Moving Company, then go with U-Haul ever again

Staff on reception at the time of receiving keys for storage was somewhat not cooperative, stating strict unfriendly policies rudely. I had to mentioned about the info conveyed to me while reserving the unit. At the end, staff said they are giving me an exception this time, I didn't argue much to save my time.

I waited 2 hours to get in because elevator was out of service. My moving guys ditched me. I am a tenant there and i deserve a 24 - 48 hours notice in my email for elevator servicing. Glad i terminated my lease

I was not told upon booking or even check in that the sliding door would be locked at a certain time. I had to move a 10ft truck worth of stuff through the steel door that doesn't open all of the way. I was also not told the storage unit would be upstairs. I was not told how to drop off the keys for the truck or when payment occurs. Overall, very unimpressed with the experience.

mess up my account and charge my credit card for the unit i never rent before. I only hold up 2 units currently and they are fully paid, and today i got email from Kim Jesson and claiming i own Uhaul money for the third unit, which i never rent it bofore, she charged me late fee for that unit. This is ridiculous and when i called for assistance to clear the situation, the girl who answered the phone was very rude and just transferred me to customer service and made me wait another 45 minutes. I just wasted an hour on things Uhaul made mistake on. This is not right. and still no one has fixed my problem yet. Just kept transferring to different departments and kept me wait.

I have one complaint regarding the communications between the uhaul storage facility i have my belongings at and the head office in the US. There is a very obvious lag in communication between what is actually happening here and the late notices received weeks later. I have a credit card on file when I first arranged storage. I was not advised that auto payment was an option, I assumed that it would be the payment for monthly service. The person who set me up did not say anything. I then received a late notice and contacted the facility, the charge was removed. I was placed on auto payment, to my knowledge. I think received another late notice. I called again. My emergency contact also received a late notice and then I was frustrated. I called again and the person I spoke with did not listen to anything I said. She spoke over me, blaming the computer and basically blaming me for changing units. All of this in a matter of 2 months. Four notices in 2 months for no reason. My credit card was there the whole time and somehow she wanted to blame me. I went in yesterday to change the unit to a smaller one and the girl there was fabulous. I asked her to ensure that the autopayment was set up. She confirmed and was helpful. It's obvious to me that the US head office is not in the same time.zone and not on top of what is happening in reality. This represents poor customer service and ultimately cause unnecessary conflict here. I don't blame the staff here, but rather then place blame on the customer in this situation, the head office should provide a follow call to apologize for the time issues then place that on the staff here. It's unfortunate that this happens but very irresponsible of the company in the US

I actually enjoy coming to the Ajax Uhaul Station Street location to purchase boxes, tape, etc., and rent trucks. This is the first time renting a unit and I am very pleased.The staff are extremely helpful and pleasant to deal with. Excellent customer service at all times.

I rented a UHaul van from this location and was very pleased with the van rental process. Everything about the van rental process here was great! It was convenient to store my things at the same location that I had to return the van. Staff at this location were friendly and provided excellent customer service. I appreciated them walking me through the access protocol, particularly since their shift was ending. Also, I felt confident about the security measures at this location. My one concern though was that there was a poision trap box for rodents, right in my unit. There was a label on the trap box saying advising not to touch it due to poision. I understand that all storage facilities, regardless of how fancy they look, must put rodent/pest control measures in place and I appreciate that the facility addressing the issue of pest control. However, I was concerned about the posion from the trap coming into contact with my belongings. I also was concerned that the trap might lure rodents into my unit, and that on the way they might nibble on my belongings. Not sure if the latter is a valid concern or not, but it did cross my mind.

I arrived shortly before closing and was concern ed nobody would be able to help me. The gentleman (name i cannot recall) was exceptional. He was unhurried, really took his time to answer all my questions and provided a great deal of help. My original storage space was too small, and the storage space I ended up using is too large but he did provide help and information in a proper size unit (unfortunately that size is not available at this location). He explained everything to me and again was exceptional with his attention and help he provided. Thank you to him. Only negative i can think of, because part of the system was down (debit card), i was not able to set up automatic withdrawl in a monthly fashion for my unit.

I wasn't too impressed with the last couple of months with uhaul. I had this locker for almost three year and it was always an issue trying to get in to access my locker and then when finally inside there always happens to be an extra lock on my locker! Usually it's because of not receiving payment which I make sure it was on an auto renew, or this new one stating that you need a disk lock to be put onto your locker. The last Friday of October I got a driver and a truck to be able to empty my storage by the tie I got to my storage there was an extra lock I couldn't take off and the uhaul staff just went home for the day. So I had to wait until I could go in in person after calling three times explaining the situation which no one cared for pay for any other driver just to get them to finally take this lock off. Was the worst hassle I had to go through and the worst part was is that the lock I had I bought at the uhaul store which they are still selling so what was the point so restraining me and costing me more money for no reason when it was a uhaul lock. I'll never put my stuff in a uhaul again.

My experience in the store was very good. Both your workers were very kind and helpful. There are just two items of concern for me. When I got the truck rental I called in and asked if I could get the free storage promotion that was advertised. The operator said I could and reviewed both the truck and storage reservation and confirmed this. However when I got to the store they advised since I am not dropping off the truck at the store I would not get my first month free. If I would have known this I would have asked to drop the truck off or go with access storage which gave me the same unit size for half the price. I will call in to customer service tomorrow but would love if you could assist me. As well it looks like my access code does not work so I had trouble actually accessing the unit. The guys at the storage facility were great though and helped me out with that.

Exceptionally clean facility and very well managed. Excellent service à la clientèle. The after hours "door only" access was a tad inconvenient for large items but fortunately the large double door entrance is open 7am-7pm. Fortement recommandé!

The storage lockers are extremely clean and staff are very helpful. We rented the locker for 6 months so having the payment come out directly each month made things so easy. With renting a van we even got one month free...bonus!

I haven't actually been able to get a a chance to fully move in my unit due to not having my password work for 24 hour access ( even though I have paid for this service for the extra ten dollars per month. The gentlemen signing me in was saying he didn't know much about the reasons why he was not successfully getting into the place under my account for registration reasons and that he would fix it in mornjg and email me the information... Is it still *3856539# or is it something else... I haven't bothered going there since every time I am in the area or off work or free from Xmas errands-get together and my bad timing it's after the office is shut down. I moved out of my house and had to put all of my personal belongings in this unit. I was extremely nervous as these were items that meant everything to me, but the unit was very secure and safe. Thank you for providing an affordable unit where safety was key. Not one item was damaged or altered, I appreciate this!

The staff and management was great. However it should be noted that the booking process is frustrating. I had reserved a 5x5x7 unit which was $99 a month and met my needs. Someone from uhaul (can't recall the name) called to confirm that I still needed the unit, I confirmed I did and was told a unit would be available. When I arrived on Saturday oct 31 for my check in I was told the unit I had reserved was not available and I'd have to take a larger more expensive unit. This is a bit of a bait and switch from a customer stand point. Again, no fault of the staff, but this should be something that's ironed out from a customer experience standpoint on the website to allow for only what's available to be booked or reserved. I'd rather get the value for what I'm paying for rather than be told I have to take a more expensive unit or find another location all together.

Staff are not very friendly or helpful . The manager is very rude and makes no accommodations of any sort. They do not have prorated rates and if u need to move out early this is very inconvenient. Late charges were also charged to my card because someone forgot to put the card number on file, when I tried discussing this with the managers for months all she did was send me generic emails including the extra charges on the bill. She is very unprofessional and rude. I would never store again at this facility I was there for over a year and have moved my things to a better facility that offers a free truck with move out.

I reserved a unit in early September for the end of September. When my reservation date was nearing I needed to complete my rental contract and wanted to do that online. One of the reasons why I selected U-Haul was because they said that you could complete the rental of the unit online, which was important to me as I was out of the country and could not do it in person. I tried completing it via the website on my desktop, on my mobile, I downloaded the app, I checked every page, clicked on every link. I could not find where I could complete my rental. I wrote several emails to the customer service, who were not helpful. One sent me a link to an internal, employee page on uhaul.net when I asked for instructions on completing the rental online. Eventually when I got a hold of someone on the phone at the storage unit facility (the first time I got transferred to the generic 1-800 number, and that person couldn't help me) they told me that the unit I had reserved was not available and that was probably why I could not complete my rental online. I then had to take a larger unit than I needed and pay more money than I budgeted because by that time I had no choice. So what is the point of reserving a unit if it does not mean the unit is actually RESERVED? I would rather pay a downpayment to hold a unit in advance than to be told on the day I am ready for it that it's not available. What is the point of a reservation?? And on top of that, no indication whatsoever on my reservation that the unit was not available, so that I could at least look somewhere else or at another location if possible. Extremely frustrating service.

I didn't get the fellows name. But I would like to say that he was very helpful. And I really appreciated his high level of customer service. Employees that do a awesome job should be praised. Most of the time people only like to complain. So two thumbs up 

Perhaps the cashier/attendant was having a bad day, but 1st impressions are lasting. I was met with a resistance and an attitude that suggested that my business was not very important or welcomed. I only proceeded because I was in an immediate emergency situation...Customer Service needs to be addressed.

We were not told about the free first month for storage. Less than a week after renting the storage unit we were locked out for non payment. After standing in line for 20 minutes we were told the lock would be removed, never received an apology for the inconvenience. We rented a truck the same day and spent more time in line then we did in the truck, while 3 staff members stood outside, leaving no employees inside at the counter.

You should make sure the customer know he or she has to buy your lock when they agrees to use your storage facility. Also train your staff to just say sorry for the misunderstanding and not ramble on and on in a demeaning fashion which just escalates customers frustration.

The water coming out of the drinking fountain is warm. Not pleasant, especially if you're moving stuff on a hot, sweltering day. Also, some vending machines with cold drinks and/or snacks would have been nice while moving stuff.

The staff there are very rude, unfriendly and very unprofessional it was my worst experience I had in all the years my family and friends have utilized uhaul services aand would not use again. the staff harassed us even to the day we were moving out to our home and said nasty things to us about us paying our bill late and even when our bill was paid the harassment continued, very weird behaviours, to the point where we questioned racism.
