On Sunday, March10, 2024 there was a lady seating at the register, She needs to be more patient with the customers just because I did not make an online reservation, she told me she was not going to assist me. I tried to explain, that on Saturday (3/9) I was told that someone could assist me in person. Thank you for the young guy, the came in and assist me. I still would recommend this location to my family. Merci.

Place is a bait and switch. You book a secure site and they send you to the roof. Nightmare of a treacherous ramp with no turnaround for a truck. Even skilled drivers would have difficulty wit the ramp.

1. We were told that the location would be open until 8 pm, but when we went at 7,25 pm, the location was shut and it created multiple logistic issues. 2. The truck that we picked up was at about 25 miles only, and when we returned it, it was at that number. Yet we were charged $47,5 for the gas and $30 for service charges. Ticket is open for this. 3. We had to go back next day to return the unused box and tape. This took an extra hour. 4. We had rented furniture dolly when we made reservation online, but when we reached there, we were informed that the site does not rent out furniture dolly. 5. What is the point of collecting online information, if that will not be honored when we reach the location. 6, there is such bad service, but U-Haul is quick to levy "service charge" for minimal deviations. This is really really bad customer service and policies by U-Haul.

Agent rush us in the process of getting a truck. No question was asked ; he ended up doing 2 contracts for 2 different vehicles. By the way we never received the second contract and we are charged twice. When I called to rectify what's going on , I was transferred to corporate, they are also confused and then transferred me back to the local uhaul. It's been 2 days and still yet I haven't spoken a supervisor. I need to know why I have been charged for 2 vehicles, why the first contract was never cancelled.

The workers here honestly make this place such an easy experience. Extremely helpful and courteous along with knowledgeable of how much time is needed for rentals. The manager is EXCELLENT and her leadership is shown tremendously from how helpful her coworkers are.

Our original order for a 15 foot truck was misplaced/lost by U-Haul. Our order # 22236612 to pick up at 251-37 Jericho Turnpike, Bellrose, NY was not recognized. I initiated a new order with help from Sergio at the Bellrose location. I returned the truck at 11:53PM, 11/29 with 82 additional miles on the odometer. The truck was cleaned and the 6 moving blanket were neatly folded. The gas tank was 1/2 full; therefore I should be receiving a fuel adjustment to my charges of $24 totaling $87.65. I am very disappointed in U-Haul systems performance related to how you lost the original order and were unable to recognize it with several identifying characteristics, such as the order number, name, phone number.

I used the storage for almost a year and never had motives to complaint. Ms. Jasmine Carter was friendly and supportive all the time. She is a hard working woman, easy going, and 100 % checking that everything is on its own place. Whenever I needed assistance she was there to inform and answer my questions! Thank you Ms. Carte! My experience at uhaul was not good at all. The communication is terrible. No one explained the situation with the rooftop. Additionally i wasn't given an access code. Then when i returned i couldn't get to my storage unit unless you back in on a curvy platform. Then they didn't have another storage unit in the size so i ended up paying more then what i anticipated. Additionally when i returned in the night i was not granted access to my storage unit even when i placed the code in on both machines. Alot of things wasnt explained to me and the lack of communication really caused me time, delay, and more financially. Overall i am very dissatisfied with the move in experience.

The management and staff that run and operate this location are by far the absolute best I have ever dealt with. Storage needs equipment/vehicle rental, bill pay etc., the staff at this location are extremely courteous, patient and professional. The truck had the worst sounding engine & handling I have ever heard. The checkin process for the storage unit was a mess. When we checked in we had to go back in the office three times- first they didn't explain the two door code system, then they gave us a code that didn't work, then they forgot to take the lock off the unit. It took almost an hour to get access to the unit with waiting for him to help other customers for every question. Access to the larger loading doors closing at 7pm was way too early. The man closing up at 7 told us that the back entrance would be open until 11. We came back with a truck full of things at 10:20 and the door he told us would be open was actually closed. We had to turn around with the full truck and unload it again at home. The hours & miscommunication cost us a ton of time, we had to return the truck late due to this error, and we couldn't finish moving out on our moving day. Now we have to finish the rest without a truck. It was a long awful costly day and a lot of that was due to the poor quality of your company.

Are used to pay for the 24 access without them notifying anybody they decided to cut it and still keep charging me for over 5 to 6 months then when I would go into the facility half the lights wouldn't even turn on, but they said there was a Center and they couldn't do nothing about it then the one in Bellerose that I always went to on Jericho turnpike The one gate or one door was always broke and then when they were fix that door, the other door would be broke. I really think U-HAUL is pitiful. Besides me losing my stuff and the stuff that I have went with them and then receiving my money and checks for over four years and when they said they couldn't reach me for a month or two, but still receiving checks from social service instead of calling them, making sure maybe something happened to me they didn't, and just sold off my merchandise , I will never ever recommend U-HAUL again and I give you guys a zero a big fat .(0)!!!!

One staff was absolutely NASTY WITH ATTITUDE BEYOND COMPERENSION. SORRY I DO NOT HAVE HER NAME AS SHE WOULD NOT GIVE IT TO ME. SHE CLAIMED TO BE A MANAGER. SHE WAS PRESENT AT WORK ON 10/6/2022, SHE OPEN THE STORE AND WAS THE ONLY ONE PRESENT PRIOR TO 10 A..M.. I then move out on 10/12/2022, reported thsi to the clerks, showed then pictures of the empty cube. No one took the time to note my moving out of the space until I revisit the location to see why I was not given credit for charges associated to 10/12/2022-11/12/2022. Only then they noted that they was not aware that I had move out, how impossible that they failed to execute closing of my account. I Rightfully should have see a credit since I move out on 10/12/2022. I am now with a bad taste for UHAUL a company I have utilized for 30 plus years. I left a voice note with the area president,(William Wolff) 516-321-0961 no one returned my call, so pointless and poor reaction to a customer as legit as myself. The way we were treated on 9/17 was disgusting. The woman working behind the counter, failed to follow up regarding truck rentals that we reserved for 9am the night prior. When we arrived not only was there no truck for us but the woman was extremely abrasive, rude and disrespectful to my husband and I. While she was actively yelling at the customer who didn't return the van the night prior; which seems only negligent on YOUR staffs fault as they should've called the customers when the trucks didn't arrive the night prior. We waited for over 40 minutes up the ridiculously engineered ramp which makes it impossible to drive your car up let alone a uhaul for the gate to be opened. Despite my gate button being on with a red light when the button was pushed the woman told me it was my fault because i "obviously didn't change the battery and it died" which was not the case, and who speaks to a customer like that? When i told Her that this was getting to be ridiculous she hung up the phone on me. We did not wait for the uhaul truck as we did not want to give your location any more business due to the behavior of your staff . The behavior of your staff is deplorable, classless and inappropriate. I am Disgusted by the way customers were treated for simply trying to use your business. I am Lodging a formal complaint with corporate due to this situation.

Colleen made me wait over 10 minutes before trying to help me because she was cleaning the windows. When she finally did try to help she had no idea what she was doing.Eventually she called someone else to help and they had everything done fairly quick, but time was already wasted.

The "drive up" isn't a drive up it is 10 feet away up a tight ramp that makes it nearly impossible to unload your truck. I am disturbed by this false advertising and the lack of honesty about this facility. If I had an option. I would've moved immediately after arriving. I will never ever recommend this facility due to the unsafe conditions in which customers are forced to work.

Jasmine made our moving/storage experience amazing. She was friendly, knowledgeable, efficient & most of all, caring. She went above and beyond for us when we arrived at this location & ran into a few issues (not related to the facility or her). She shows that she truly cares about her customers. Not only was she amazing towards us, be while there, I observed how she treated her staff/coworkers with respect and kindness. I hope U-Haul recognizes Jasmine because she deserves it! I would recommend this facility to people purely because she is a pleasure to work with!

I closed out both my storages and my credit card was still charged with the automated machine I had to call customer service to complain and customer service called the general manager and told me the general manager will refund me the same day but when but never did so I had to call again 2 days later to let general manager know there's no pending refund on my card, just for someone else at Bellrose location to tell me general manager is off and I have to call back because they don't have access to refund me back my money for both storages. It's annoying and frustrating. I don't get paid to be annoyed. Uhaul needs to give me back an extra refund for previous month for my hassle and distress.

The online check in did not match the at-facility check in process. I was able to work with the office staff for help but if I went after hours, I would have been locked out of the facility with a full truck of storage items. Our storage Unit assigned to us was also unavailable, it had two locks still on it. The office staff had to find out 3 smaller units to accommodate the one large unit we originally had.

this place is horrible. the staff are rude and completely not helpful. they just spend their time ignoring customers and hanging out and talking to each other. communication is non-existent. after thinking my payments were automatically being taken, come to find out that my items were sold in an auction following ZERO communication. so, you sold a sick woman with cancer's childhood possessions from her dead family at an auction without contacting her. nice job you disgusting people. oh, but they did contact me before selling my stuff to inform me that all of my belonging were destroyed in a flood. make sense of that.

Expensive, no warning for payment and late fees charged automatically. Can only go during open hours because key cards do not work (our experience and other customers we met also trying to enter). There is a charge for throwing away any leftover storage

I was told I would receive a unit that in the computer was showing the staff it was available but when getting over to the unit it was not the staff did their very best to find me something similar overall the staff made it a great an totally worth it experience.

The access code to the building never worked. Showed up on a Sunday evening before 10pm and could not gain access. Customer service did not help how to mention the 60 min wait time to even speak with someone. Was also unable to use mobile device to return truck after hours as it would not recognize any number or email linked to rental. Showed up at 7am Monday to find out hallway was too narrow to turn anything into unit. Unit halls ways with cockroaches and dust/dirt all over. Card access still not working.

Where do I even begin? I was and am so impressed by the team here! My experience with them had many more touch points than would normally be the case, and with every interaction, my opinion of them continued to rise. I moved from Mississippi to NYC, and as they offered storage (which I needed for only a little less than a month) I randomly picked them as the Uhaul truck drop off location. I am so lucky I did. After a miserable cross country drive, I pulled into their location to unload and drop off the truck, just as a torrential rain storm hit. Rebecca, who I believe is the assistant manager checked me in quickly, and even moved my storage locker to one indoors so I wouldn't have to be stuck in the rain unloading, making what would have been a torturous experience tolerable. Fast forward 3 weeks…. My NYC apartment fell through requiring me to push back my move in (and move out of storage) by a few days, which meant another month of storage rent as my move in day was one day past my storage rent due date. Jasmine, who is the general manager and the person I spoke to on the phone (I was in NH) offered to wave the monthly charge which was so above and beyond gracious. And she didn't even make me have to fight for it which is what I expected to have to do. A week later I show up at the site first thing in the morning to collect another truck and move out of storage and the opportunity was ripe for catastrophe. This time, Cori (not sure what Cori's position is) greeted me under what was certainly a super stressful situation. There were tons of trucks from the night before blocking pretty much everything (including my would be truck) but Cori efficiently and quickly played what looked like a game of Tetris with the blocking ones, got my truck out and made a space for me to back up to my storage. What a superstar! Catastrophe averted! I very rarely write reviews but this whole experience with this location and their staff was so exemplary that I had to as to not give them credit for their hard work would have been a travesty. Thank you for all you do and the clear dedication you have to your job and your customers. It is something rarely seen.

The woman leading the show was amazing. She was faced with at least 6 sets of customers at a time the entire time I was there, and she handled them all swiftly, efficiently, with care and attention to detail. That being said, give her more office staff!! As a manager myself, I'd hate to be the lone office support on duty on such a busy day! She was amazing and I feel my move is in excellent hands.

it took them a whole day for the access card to work, ended up making my move to 2 days instead of one. The entrance to the storage facility sliding doors needs to be made even to make it easier for the dolly's to roll in and out.

Firstly, I looked online and chose this location because of its "drive-up units". Then once I'm checked in, and ready to store my items, I come to find out that I can only drive my car until the gate, then I must unload onto a dolly, and walk my things to the storage unit. While the storage unit itself was clean, it was not what I expected. Secondly, the ramp (which is the only way to get your things up to the storage) is ridiculously skinny and is nearly impossible to make a u-turn to get back down the ramp. Thirdly, I was moving during December, the ramp and the walk-way around the storage facility was all snowy and icy.

The day of my move, the corridor light was broken and the movers had to work in darkness to move me out of 2 units. Kaitlynne was extremely helpful and attempted to fix the light but the problem appeared to be more extensive than just changing a few light bulbs. Kaitlynne informed me of the move out process, was always available, and made the process much less stressful. My stored items were free of bugs, moisture, all intact, and the customer service at this location has always been excellent.

Access to storage units on the roof is very unsafe, you have to back your vehicle up a steep trail to get to the unit. Good luck if your driving a truck. Uhaul definitely needs to change this

I got no help from the service. My Service person did not gave a tour of storage only stated it's on the other side of the building. Pick up your vehicle in row D and inspect it for damages before you leave. The entire right side top portion of truck broken and open from the front to the back ;with the upper signal light broken. I went back to the service person who was outside at the return vehicle station. I informed her that the truck was damaged and I need another truck. She replied, " I need to go home." "I closed out the register." It's 7:20 pm You closed" and I didn't have a truck to move ."we know the truck was damage ;you will not be charged for the damages." She refused to go to the office to give me another truck. why would you give me a damaged truck? I gave her the truck key and ask her to cancelled out the truck. I didn't pay to rent a broken truck. I lost money because of your company poor service of not proving me with a working truck. I had to pay the moving people who's was to load and unload the truck. I had the worst experience with your company's service personals. They both had attitudes and was not helpful in proving information or service. I used your company before and I have never had this poor service experience. The service person stated ,"she will cancelled out the truck rental and insurance for 8/18/20. "I will return the money to your card and send you a text message." I didn't get a text for the cancellation/ truck insurance from Uhall as she stated on 8/18/20. 7:27 pm.Thanks for your resolution of this poor service provided by your service staff on the afternoon of 8/18/20.

The actual unit itself is good. The way to access the unit is horrible. Any unit that is on the roof, must be accessed by BACKING your vehicle UP a curved road. This is very dangerous. Also if one vehicle is backed up the road, you must wait until they are done, and then you can access your unit with your vehicle. UHAUL must reconstruct this area. And if the gate sensor doesn't have anything in its view, the gate will close, and even if it hits an object it doesn't stop, it continues to close. DANGEROUS.....SOMEONE COULD BE SERIOUSLY HURT

Great experience , excellent staff. Only negative would be the lighting in the storage area.... the timer should be adjusted because they keep going off while trying to move things. It made things hard ...we were often left in the dark and we needed to keep going out of the unit every 3-4 minutes to wave and see if the lights turned back on.
