I appreciate the courteous staff and the good service at this location just 1,5 miles from my house! This was the second time I've rented a 10' box truck and parked it at my front door to use for secure storage when painting/etc. inside my small house. Such convenience and peace of mind at an affordable price!

Was impressed with how well the manager handled a line of customers two at a time. Service was courteous and professional and really made a good start to a big moving day. Jennifer NallyVan I rented had an empty gas tank which I knew about, but by the time I found a Mobil station to fill up, I ran out of fuel and I got stranded in the middle of a main thoroughfare, Luckily a Good Samaritan helped me out with gas before the U-Haul helper arrived. Rentals should never be rented with empty fuel tanks. The most they did to make things up was offering me $25. Not Fair.
Albert FamThe representative at the counter was not at all helpful it took one hour to hand the key over and with no gas in the truck but he marked on papers otherwise, when we went back to him after checking the gas, he was us and got up from the chair and left outside passing us and not responding us. Never going to this place. There was cardboard all over the dashboard that f the truck we cleared it and drove.

Samuel Riosarrived at location to pickup the truck. When recieved it was almost empty in fuel, the attendant asked that the truck would give us around 60 miles. As driving off the lot the truck stalled 3 times. I did manage to get accoss the street to a gas station and put it 40.00. when leaving the truck stalled again 3 times, I drove back and the truck was exchanged and I was assured a credit for the 40 in gas. I returned the vehicle and as being checked in the attendant was not aware of the agreed 40 credit, he went ahead and credited after the calculated the milage and indicated that my total would be 55.09. Upon seeing the charge and receipt the credit was never issued and I was charged the full amount. Very bad experience.

curtis randallthe vehicle was a little dirty - floor mats and small debris in back of truck. vehicle gas tank was empty, check engine light on, told to put gas in and it would go away - it did not - returned to location - attendant check, cleared and sent me on my way - engine light came back on in 5 miles - stayed on the entire trip. The Radio did not work on AM or FM - unacceptable - nothing worse than hours of driving a loud vehicle and NO RADIO!!!

And there was no battery in the vehicle to start it understand from the representatives there that the gas was siphoned out and stolen, so was the battery, will never use this site again. Second vehicle was not much better was not clean because they had to switch. The U-Haul representatives there were very helpful and apologized, but said that U-Haul said it was cheaper not to have security there than replace battery or fuel….

Saul PadillaIt was great to be able to use the app to pre-fill out the paperwork and the rest of the process didn't take more than 5 mins but the vehicle was dirty upon pick up as there was cat litter and cat food all inside the cab of the vehicle. I updated the photo to include that it was dirty but there was only room for one photo.I didn't have time to go back in to exchange the vehicle as i was in a hurry. This should have been clean ahead of time and inspected.

The hours are reasonable, but did need to come back the next day because they close earlier than I usually need, but that was a work-around I was able to do.

This happened right outside the store's storage entrance which has cameras. This was the day I checked in and dropped off my U-Haul truck rental. So it was day time at the storage facility on the store grounds someone walked up and stole it out of the U-Haul truck on property grounds. I asked a store rep. If he can check the cameras for what actually happened that day. He said he would call.. never got a return call...

I had a 50 dollar VIP voucher and the kid said the computer couldn't accept it at the moment ,he said that he could call corp and see if there was something to do about it but he didnt want to cause it was Sunday and they probably wouldn't answer anyways . I called and got someone on the phone within minutes. The corporate customer service manager then tried to call and they never could get them to answered either I had to go and tell the kids their boss was on the phone then they answered and only after speaking to her and their manager did they try to work something out then he told me they could only discount it 30 bucks unless he called someone to get it changed on the other end which I said call then so in the end they honoree the 50 dollar voucher but only after I did way more work then I should have had to do on my end . Also In the mix I had lost my key to my lock and knew how to drill the lock with out damaging anything to which I was told I'm not aloud and would need to pay a lock smith which is 170 -200 dollars . Just FYi your policy is bs when I went to drill the lock I was stopped so I called the police to which they were agrivated about even wasting time on this they told me and the workers at the uhaul that the lock was my property and so was what is in side the locker that it is unlawful to stop me from poping the lock myself . So in the end I popped it myself. This scar taxtic is crazy on uhaul side . So In the end all experience was terrible both on the Chicago uhaul side and even more on the riverside location . I have never been met with such horrible, lazy customer service. Theres a whole other experience listed on my file of when I moved in . I will say everyone I spoke to on the phone from corporate was very respectful and helpful never had an issue with them .there is so much wrong with the riverside location I am surprised they are allowed to used the uhaul name .
