This is my first choice when it comes to U-Haul. Time and again, the folks here have taken great care of my needs.

douglas MThis location is convenient and they always have had the equipment needed. My initial experience with the staff was positive. The representative shared information that helped me save money over all, which made me want to come back and even brought her a thank you gift. Unfortunately, the staff I've experienced since then has been disappointing. I felt like I was an inconvenience, no smiles, no thank you's and no offering information that was not pulled out with multiple questions. The last person that assisted us required a third contact person which had never been asked for before. When asked why, we received a sarcastic answer and contemplated walking out. She said she could not proceed without a 3rd contact. Because we did not have time to go elsewhere, we complied. It was unreasonable and the rep's attitude was that of someone who did not care one bit.

Bettina BI was provided a wooden U-Box that had a hole in the back wall. Not the fault of the uhaul location. I returned it and was provided with another box that was in great condition. The box numbers was supposed to be recorded on the website, but one was missed and we ended up renting an extra box which resulted in extra unexpected costs. To be fair, we should have kept better records ourselves. So, not fully their fault. However, regardless of the record keeping, Uhaul work with us to solve the problem and get our furniture moved. I am overall pleased with the Uhaul company. They were very friendly and helpful. Did they make mistakes? Yes. More than listed here. Did they fix them asap? Yes. Would I work with Uhaul again? Yes.

Chris GI had this storage unit for Almost 2 years, never had access to it. Called every other month trying to set an appointment for a lock smith & never got a single call back about setting an appointment. Was told I'd be changed $50 for said locksmith after the U-HAUL lock that was provided, wouldn't open with U-Haul key. Was always left feeling uncomfortable by disrespectful staff and the constant smell of cigarette smoke. I've been with you U-Haul for years so I could definitely tell it had everything to do with this exact location. Everyone needs training, especially the handy man that helps with trailers… he needs training on how to speak to people Correctly. Also maintaining hygiene & washing hands after smoking before touching customers belongings.

niel bWhen I first got to pick up the truck I was using, the rep acted like she didn't want to be there. I had to find the truck myself and then it was blocked in so had to get someone else to move the trucks out of the way. The dome light never turned off either. The storage unit was clean but there was no lock inside like I was told so had to get someone to bring me a lock. I wasn't told how to get in the storage gate or how to get out either. I will be looking for another storage facility that treats their customers with a little respect.
Carrie HJust found out that I was charged for gas and as I said in an earlier remark, it was very low on gas and was only 25 miles out of town and it was below empty. Luckily I noticed and pulled over before I ran out. I am requesting a refund for that charge. Call me if you have questions, I have lot of comments you probably don't want to hear. Ron Powne

So, anytime my passenger needed to enter the truck, I would have to lean over to open it from the inside of the cab. I mentioned it to the store attendants after and it felt as if they didn't care enough to try and compensate or even apologize for the inconvenience. I recommend customers be compensated in some form for inconveniences such as mine.

Therefore, access was not allowed after 7PM, which I was not aware of and really upset me considering I just got finished driving 6 hours from Dallas to San Antonio. So now I had to find somewhere to park the truck and trailer for the night because I did not feel comfortable parking it at the hotel we were staying at. So now I can't move my stuff in till today which now I will be charged another day of rental for the truck. So like i said...NOT HAPPY !!!!

You'll send someone out 45 minutes later no one's here my code works from the outside. My truck is late. The other people who have the reservation are mad because they don't have the truck because I'm not finished with it because I can't unload it because I put the wrong lock on my own Unit and got told I have to wait for Monday for the contractor to come out and cut it or hire a locksmith. So recommend U-Haul ever again absolutely not.

I got the feeling that I was bothering the staff. There was a issue with my payment, I paid online and it was processed by my bank and I showed the attendant and I had to transfer $ from my savings to pay again. So, not a good experience!

This was very unfair to both the worker and the customers he had to deal with. If was clear that this worker was handicapped and unable to perform the job even with reasonable accommodations. He should not have been left alone to manage the store by himself.

The only thing I can give constructive criticism on is a couple facility items: 1-My two units were in the back corner. Debris and trash always seemed to be there, but not really anywhere else. 2-The locking holes didn't line up, particularly on 141, making it difficult to lock/unlock. A little maintenance is needed to straighten metal.

It appears that the general manager can change these on a whim which I think is unfair and deceptive. Also I was promised a free month because I'm also renting a U-Haul truck. Again I was told that the general manager will not allow this even though it was promised to me by corporate. Because of this I couldn't recommend this facility to another person as the general manager does not fulfill commitments that are pre-agreed-upon.

I'm a little disappointed with my unit Because the dimensions of the door Do not match the dimensions of the unit listed online. It would've been useful to know that the door is only the size of a regular house door, not what you expect from a Storage facility. I do recognize that it did j say "swing door" when I was making the reservation, but it was unclear what that meant and I honestly don't know if I want to keep my unit if it's gonna be such a pain to fit stuff through a little door, which at best it will be slightly inconvenient and at worst I could be moving a heavy appliance trying to fit through the door and get quite angry. I would Suggest notating That the door dimensions Are significantly smaller Than unit dimensions.

Even though I wasn't quite sure what size unit I needed she was more than helpful getting me 2 unit. In the End I only needed one and she still helped me even though I was that lost crazy customer from a different city. The Staff made me feel a whole lot better they even recommended a good place to eat and places to look for housing they definitely went above and beyond for Me and My Family. Would definitely recommend this location for Friends and Family in the Future!!!

Couple of days later I returned to unit and it had rained and there was mud and water at the entrance door of unit. It was messy trying to step over the mud and water and I also slipped on the mud. I noticed that the gutter above unit door had been damaged and water was coming thru the damaged parts. This was in April when Irented the unit. I expressed my concerns with the front office numerous times and was told it was going to get fixed and mud swept away but it never was swept or gutter repaired. I had the unit fir almost 3 months and had to put up with the mud and water during the rainy days which you know have been plenty of rainy days.
ARNOLD S | Expérience généraleThe reason I picked 2 stars is because I was duped into this facility. I rented a UHaul to move across the country. With the rental, 30 free days came with it. I reserved a 7x20 for $129 a month after the first 30 days. I showed up and there were none this size available in a 30 mile radius. I was given a 10x10 for $134 a month. I ended up just going to a different company to store my stuff cause UHaul did the old "bate and switch" and the facility didn't meet my needs at all. I don't blame the workers at the site, this was not their fault. It should have been taken care of by the person who set it all up for me.

Maria B | Expérience généraleI've rented trucks and trailers before, and I will continue to, but I will not store anything in the future. The staff was helpful when we moved stuff in, but at the end, they were not helpful at all, and were extremely shady with the closeout process. We were trying to get out by March 14th, but did not get it done in time, so my stepson paid for another month on March15th. The staff at the location was in such a hurry to get us out, that they closed the account and deleted the information just after my stepson made the payment for March 15th to April 14th. I could access my U-Haul account online, but the storage unit history was gone. Fortunately, I keep copies of my online receipts and corrected the staff when they stated that we were only paid through March 14th. Once I pointed out their error, they said we had until April 14th to get the lock off and turn in the access card. I guess they forgot that, and since we had been deleted from the system, they messed up. I found out later that my stepson took off from work to go over and close out the storage unit well before April 14th, but when he got there, the card had been deactivated, and his lock had been cut off of the unit. I have no idea when they did that. I guess getting our rent money, plus possibly getting a partial month from a new customer during the same month for the same unit is a good way to make money, but it is a horrible way to treat your customers, it's shady, and it's wrong. My stepson had paid for the last month, and he didn't tell me until now because he didn't want to make an issue of the situation, but I'm taking the time during this review to make the statement. Hopefully your company will use this opportunity to teach your staff how NOT to end a storage experience.

Instead they put me an hour and a half away - in San Antonio and heavy traffic. I ended up not being able to access my storage unit for a year and a half. Now that I emptied the unit and returned the truck in my new town of Fredericksburg, I find out that there was a UHaul Rep 2 miles from my house!!!! I am so angry with UHaul Headquarters! I paid a LOT more to be a LOT more inconvenienced! WHY?! Because UHaul wanted to keep my account instead of allowing me to use an affiliate location!!!!! That was WRONG! I am the President of a Relief Org and they KNEW IT and still took advantage of me! I believe I deserve some. kind of refund or consolation for all the trouble I went through! I will NEVER recommend UHaul to anyone and will never use it again! I'm so upset at what was done to me! ~ Theresa Griffith, Fredericksburg, Texas P.S. EVAN P | Expérience généraleOn the storage unit that we were given the holes on the door didn't align and I was told I had to buy a particular lock even though I already had my own UHaul heavy duty lock. When I went to the back to put my items in the unit we waited for over 30 minutes for someone to come and open the unit. Then after loading my things in when we tried to use the lock that I was forced to buy I had to use my own lock anyway because of the lock holes did not align. Then the person that sold me the lock didn't want to take it back and refund my money and she finally admitted she couldn't do a refund. I had to wait 2 hours to see the person who was able to do the refund, and she suggested that she could give me another unit. Really like I would go back take everything out get the truck again and move to another unit. I hope that it will be better when I remove my things.

Sarah T | Expérience généraleI really appreciated all the help from the EE's at this location - twice that I have been in the office - your company for some reason feels the need to do computer updates while the employees are checking people in and trying to get them set up for rentals both trucks and storage - I would hope the company would do those things at night when no one is in a hurry or panicking that there are too many people standing in line trying to social distance standing out the door in 100 degree temperatures waiting to get waited on because your company shuts the computers down - that's just nuts!!!
