The vehicle had 130k miles and while it ran and served its purpose, the steering was quite loose. Other than that it was a great experience.

The right side pin needed repair for the ramp. You needed a hammer to take out and put back in. The lower pin holder didn't line up with the upper pin holder

The 24/7 check in process is not efficient. I signed up for it and still had to go inside for the key, plus wait for 'approval,' which seems like it could have been done prior to check in. People are on a schedule, and that process is inefficient. The truck itself should not be driven. It sounds like it was about to die and never got above 45 mph. I fell unsafe driving it, worried that I was going to break down. The truck was so slow that I worried about turning onto busy roads and being hit because there was no pick up. I will test drive any trucks I get from now on before leaving the parking lot. The back door of the truck was also so hard to open and close that it took 2 grown adults to make it work. The latch was so difficult to close, as well as the latch for the ramp. All in all, not my favorite u haul experience.

My trailer had no internal tie downs. They were visibly damaged in the floor and it caused me to not beable to use the trailer for its intended rental. Extremely Disappointed.

NYS law allows customers to opt out of optional collision insurance. I was forced to take it without the option to decline . I rented a cargo van and drove 31 miles . $11 for collision insurance. 0,35 a mile on top of the 0,89 a mile usage fee . Twice this week out of 3 rentals the starting fuel gauge was wrong. The manager waived the fee . Please advise why you violate the law on collision insurance. Merci

Had a problem with the brakes not working on a car Hauler. Manager and staff were extremely responsive and handled the situation right away.

I booked a truck and trailer. Then I got a call after doing so from a rep at uhaul telling me the trailer isn't there. I had to travel 100 miles out of the way to pick up the trailer. Then when I got to the drop off point in savannah I was going to be charged a fee for being over mileage.

I felt when I picked the 26’ foot truck up the guy working was checking something outside said he would be right with me and 20mins later I was finally helped.

The staff charged me for gas I shouldn't have needed to pay for (the tank was as full as when I recieved it). This is a serious problem that the local bureau of weights and measures should look into. The mileage estimate was below anything that made any sense. We had to pay more because UHAUL can't figure distances reasonably.

The staff was very helpful and the facility was very clean but the unit doors are not well maintained. The door on my first unit was broken and when they switched me the second unit door was difficult to open and close. The doors need better maintenance.

Great staff. Super helpful. Only constructive feedback I could give would be the appearance and upkeep in the self storage area. Just needs some updates. But overall nothing to turn me away.

the gate didnt work for months so that kinda sucked, still paid full price for half the security, which is why i left. also i think the water gutters that come down from the roof and run off the side of the buildings in between every few units leaked badly into my unit. nothing like actually damaged but everything that was in the front left corner of my unit (near the drain spout outside the unit) was soaked. it was just towels and clothes for me which can be easily washed but i worry for someone else that may have like nice wood furniture or important paper documents? the staff there is very friendly tho and renting vehicles for moving was always very easy and efficient.

The store is very clean, and their restroom is exceptionally clean. The staff is wonderful. I am very impressed, and I am sharing my experience with other people. My realtor was very happy to hear about my experience, as she has other clients who would find this useful for their move.

Your staff was wonderful, and very helpful. The facility is very clean and comfortable. This storage solution is a lifesaver- or at least a sanity saver. The closing on our house was moved several days earlier. The only way to empty it so quickly was to have a uhaul truck to put everything in, and a storage unit to move it into . We now have a month to sort and deal with it all. Our realtor was impressed and will share this with other clients. She hadn't realized you had this service. Your staff was very kind and we will share our experience with friends.

Broken gate Drive through not really adequate Received notice of late payment with a $15 surcharge instead of receiving a notice that my payment will be due in a few days. It would have been paid and I would have saved the late fee. At the time of renting, they ask for other addresses and all. My contact info and my billing info should be sufficient. Not please with the all the requirements. Easier to rent a truck than it is to rent a 10×10 storage. Really?

I should've walked away when I rented the storage unit and the person was extremely rude. They then did not set up automatic payment and sent a letter to the emergency contact that I was not paying my bill. I had no idea until I went to the unit and was told I had a past due bill. The facility is almost NEVER secured. Only twice did I ever have to use my access card. The roof leaked and caused boxes to get wet and moldy. I was never notified of any issues however the day we moved out they were repairing the roof. It caused moldy clothes and broken boxes because of the wetness that resulted in broken dishes. The staff said "awesome" and that was it. Absolutely the worst experience ever!

Thanks for the 20 years or so I have had a storage unit with you. Even though management has changed numerous times, the staff was always courteous and friendly. My company has decided to terminate our use of storage needs or otherwise I would have remained a customer.

Management has poor attitude makes you feel unwelcome especially if you’re from out of state they have no respect for anyone who comes into the store they feel that they must take your blood in order for you to have a walker there they have no sense of hospitality and I will never ever purchase anything from the store let alone use anything with the U-Haul name tag on it there’s nothing that they can do or say that will change my mind

The place is well maintained and staff are great. I have used this place in the past a couple of times for an extended period and they always did a great job maintaining the facility etc. Excellent!!!!!

1. The unit I rented had a rodent issue - when moving out of the unit there was rodent dung everywhere. We found multiple boxes which had holes chewed in them along with the items in the boxes. We also found dead rodent carcasses among our possessions. Finally there was an ant nest that was under one of the boxes that we disturbed and ants were everywhere - frankly it was all disgusting. 2. The unit leaked on to my possessions - very irritating. 3. The lock slide on the unit was very difficult to slide open and closed. 4. When we came to visit once there was a uhaul lock placed on our unit - we reported it to the office and they were not very courteous in correcting their mistake. 5. Once we visited when there was a fair amount of snow on the ground and their snow removal was inadequate - we had to climb over a snow pile at the garage door to get in the unit.

I've used storage facilities for various reasons in the past. None as clean and well organized as this location. The move was not organized until the day before. This was the only location with both the truck size and storage room in the area (end of the month). Everything was smooth as silk. Brad was a great help and made the whole process easy. I received water damage in my unit. The day I found out I asked for some assistance and was handed a roll of packing tape to patch the hole in the ceiling as there was no one able to help. I needed to follow up with phone calls to get my issue resolved. You general manager Brian is very unprofessional.

After looking over the amount of furniture I need to store I realized that I needed a larger unit. The office personal was very accommodating canceling the unit. I would definitely recommend using this UHaul site.

Auto pay was set up and yet still got late charges for having it set up on auto pay also to get a hold of anyone I’d have to be on hold for at least 30 minutes my unit I had to fight to get it open and closed and and tons of mice poop on my stuff once I took it out

I moved out on the 7\12\21 and I payed in full this month and didn't get any thing back from them and wan i move out of storage it was so much mice poop all in my stuff and my couch was full of mice poop and pee I'm not happy at all and i asked the guys in the office if i can get something back from my storage that i pay on time ever month and they told me to call the 1800 number and i call and know answers. To see if i can get something back because i payed for the month of July but i moved all my stuff out on the 12 of July 2021 and i made sure the storage was clean out and sweep all out clean my number is 680-219-3520

Very easy to work with. I had to bring some furniture from PA to settle an estate and store it for a few months. I hired a truck and movers through U haul it was a smooth trip with no problems.

The facility is very nice. The workers were knowledgeable and friendly. The online sign up was easy. The gated system is difficult. Our access code only worked twice and the card only works sometimes. I don't like that once you are in there is no way out without the card. I get trying to monitor coming and going but it is scary to not be able to get out quickly as needed. Also, the card thinks we are checking in when we are checking out and vice versa. The machine to check you out the display is broken. We have a hard time driving out. We either have to go off the pavement to the grass or if you go the other way we have to do a several point turn to line up with the exit gate.

The manager at the Utica branch on Lomond Road - Brian - absolutely ruined our experience. We've had a very stressful time having to move abruptly due to a delay in our house closing from Covid-19. Therefore we rented multiple trucks (4) and also 2 storage units. All - in - all we've spent A LOT of money at the location over the past 2 months. We dealt with Brian a couple of the times and he always had an attitude and was not friendly. One of the times - we had to get into the office (which was difficult due to work hours) and we popped in real quick 10 minutes before closing. We just had a simple question and Brian, legitamately yelled and was upset because they were about to close. He made us feel bad for stopping in and bothering him so close to close. We apologized for it being so close to 7pm, and his reply was an eyeroll while saying, "yeah whatever." We immediately rented a truck / trailer from another company and emptied our storage units. We will not be back - which is such a shame because we've got A LOT more moving to do over the next few months. Very disappointed.
