Unfortunately this was not my chosen location. When I reserved the rental it was at 17 st location, then was sent to Pembina rd in Sherwood Park to pick up, then was sent to Winterburn location 41 km away to actually receive the rental. Was extremely disappointed. The saving grace was the agent at u haul office showed respect and was very polite

My original reservation was in Spruce Grove, AB but when I got there apparently the vehicle had not been returned so U-Haul found another location in Edmonton. This increased my per km rate having to make a return trip to Edmonton. Plus an inconvenience as all of my moving was in Spruce Grove. When I went to pick up the vehicle from this location there was no one at the counter to grab the keys from for quite awhile. Then the vehicle that I was originally assigned and found was not available because some at Ubaul was using so then I had to get another vehicle

Some staff were good to deal with at the end and helpful. However, first week of moving in, the unit across from me were drinking and doing drugs and screaming in their unit. Second time visiting there was an individual riding through the lot on a bycicle. The road in front of my unit was all torn up basically like driving down a dirt road. Multiple storage room doors broken. Looks very unsafe and unsightly.

I have rented from U-Haul Winterburn numerous times. This review is actually as a first time customer for their outdoor storage area, I have always rented from their climate controlled area. I technically rented on March 31, 2024, I moved some personal items in throughout the week. I was at the facility at least 5 times that week. I found a different unit in a different storage facility on April 13, 2024. I moved everything in over a one week period, and everything out in one day just two weeks later and this is why... As a long term customer of Winterburn Uhaul, I am shocked at how little priority is placed on their facility security when that is absolutely what the Uhaul business model runs on. Winterburn Uhaul does not seem to be well staffed and obviously has management in place that is overwhelmed or just doesn't care. As a company, Uhaul commits to its customers to provide a safe and secure storage facility in exchange for payment. As a customer, I am obligated to pay on time, not store hazardous materials, etc, etc. I follow through on my contract obligations. Why does Winterburn Uhaul not follow through on their contract obligations to their customers? Winterburn Uhaul runs a facility with a huge theft problem. Staff cannot state they are unaware as I have overhead at least six people complaining to them of theft since I moved in. It seems to be a constant issue as lock after lock can be visibly seen broken from the doors. On April 13, I noticed the door jam of my unit was broken. I hadn't been contacted there was an issue with my unit and only found out when I went to the storage unit in person. I don't believe anyone actually checks on units for problems, or if they do they aren't overly observant or communicative. Thankfully my unit hadn't been fully broken into, but it was only a matter of time before it was. People are actually living in these storage units. It was communicated with staff there are open fires happening at night beside visible bottles of propane. It has been communicated that many units have been broken into at night. Gates are visibly left open by staff for hours while they work between sites, each time I visited storage this occured. It's the customers who are left with their belongings at risk, lost and ruined. Yet Uhaul knows they have a problem and has ignored it?? Where is the accountability Winterburn Uhaul? I did speak with staff, who told me to speak with the Manager yet when I tried to communicate with Nicole, the Manager, I was brushed off twice and told that she wasn't available and/or unwilling to discuss the issues. I have not received a phone call back or an email but yet I'm to review my experience?!? My experience and review is this: honestly, if you value your belongings - go to another facility. Don't waste your time, your money, your insurance. Go somewhere where you are actually appreciated as a customer. It goes both ways, if you want my money start providing the service that I pay for.

Give me a truck that doesn’t start vibrating and rocking the truck when it hits 100 and squeals when turning left or right also it was dirty and not maintained at all I told the person when dropping off and they said nothing at all, I couldn’t finish my move with it so I returned it and next day ended up having to get a smaller one to finish because the first one caused my belonging to shift so bad when it started vibrating and rocking the unit which created some of my items to Get damaged Not impressed but had no choice to use a different one to finish it

I booked the pickup and return location is Westside, but I received message that change to 21818 STONY PLAIN RD NW this morning! If I know early, I will find another company! Moreover , I waste 30 minutes for waiting pickup. there only two staff and one told me that he need to check something then go away. I book for 1-5PM, but include 30 minutes waiting time, there is unacceptable. Also, I ask that can I return the car at my original location, the staff refused and told me another nearby U-haul can also provide the same car to me but I need to go there for pickup. So why don't change the nearby location to me at the beginning? This is a very bad experience and I will not use U-haul anymore!

We booked a truck in advance and when we arrived at the right day and time to pick it up it turned out that this location is not working and we can not take the car. How does your service work if you could not foresee? I was offered to go to the other end of the city to another location where I can take the car and offered a car 2 times bigger, although I did not need such a big car. I lost a lot of time because this point was not foreseen. I also had to pay much more because the location was far away. And besides that, when we brought the car back, we were told that we had not filled it up enough and that we needed 20 liters more, which surprised us! We went and got more gas. But before taking the car my husband took a picture of how much gas was there initially and it turned out that there was a mistake and we did not need to fill it up again. I don't know whose mistake it was, whether it was your employee's or your service. We were told we would get a refund, but we never did. It was a terrible experience using your service, where we were badly screwed, took more money and cheated with gasoline. I will never use your services again and I will never recommend your services to my friends! It was a terrible stress.

The location was great. If I could give the Uhaul system and servers a rating then it would be as low as you can get. The main system was down and the backup system was spotty at best. I went through 4 computers, 5 employees and 2 hours to get my truck dispatched to me. Fix your servers!!

was in and out in a flash and this location understands team work they where busy but some how got me out in less than 15 mins including hooking up and checking lights and i was third person in line up when i arrived

The vehicle was not checked by maintenance...we were just starting to load, when the vehicle rolled down the ramp...in park, emergency brake applied and engine off...without a second person, it would have been more dangerous...at least one could chock tires, while the other person kept foot on the brake. I hope this truck does not get rented out until fixed...my friend is a retired vehicle mechanic and I am a former trucker in the military. The issues were given to the person at Regent, where we turned it in.

The check in/out process was fairly simple. I was a little taken by the fact that the truck i rented did not come with a full tank of gas... As such, i paid more in fuel than i should have when i gassed up before returning the unit. (that's why this isn't a 5 star review) It came with 1/4 tank of gas. i returned it with a 1/2 tank. Staff were very pleasant and easy to deal with.

The truck was amazing. Among the notable attributes were comfortable seats, which we sat in for 30 hours over three days. The noise level in the cab was low. The brakes/engine brake combo was smooth, and we had very little load shifting during the entire trip. Mirrors, turning radius, handling, and visibility were great as well. Merci

The customer service is sooooo slow. Which is probably because both times I went there for pickup and drop off there was only one employee visible and assisting that I ever saw. The inside of the truck I got was clean but the outside was dirty.

Have utility dollys available for a move from Edmonton to Calgary (there were none available to me). Place the dolly and equipment in the truck prior to me showing up. Fill the unit to full rather than me having to take it at less than a 1/4 tank, instantly get gas, and have to try to return at a 1/4 tank.

Make sure all parts of the truck are operational. We struggled with the back door all day due to it not being on the track. Truck also only had a quarter tank when picked up.

Vehicle maintenance (front lights). Noticed upon pickup that one fo light wasn't working unless you turn on high beam. High chances you will get caught , when you are moving night time and the head lights not working.

The drop off procedure was absolutely ridiculous. The drop off area should have a place to drop the keys. The key drop was all the way down at the other end. Had to use a website that didn't respond very well. Stood outside in -20 weather to take pictures of the vehicle. This after moving all day. I feel like the process could be a little more seamless. I don't know how the staff is at this location. It was much better than the location that I picked up the vehicle. I likely wont be using U-Haul in the future.

The trailer was covered in mud and the drivers side fender was smashed in. And it had a retorque tag that was on it for 4 days and the service person couldn’t tell me it had been retorqued.

I ordered a 5 x 8 trailer but got a 4 x 8 trailer instead. I had ordered the trailer a week before. All other times they had the right equipment when I ordered in advance. Fortunately, I was able to move what I needed to move in one load with the 4 x 8 trailer. Please ensure that the correct size trailer is available when booking in advance. Thanks

I made a reservation to return different location. However, when I went to another location, I was told I can't return it to there unless I have to pay $290. She was rude and unfriendly. She didnt even try to help me out. I went to all the way to Stony Plain location. I had to pay extra mileage and gas.

The staff were helpful and friendly. Despite having issues with their primary booking systems they were able to use some kind of kluncky back up system to get the job done. The trailer worked well and had no issues. Drop off was very simple I was met in the parking lot and had their trailer unhooked and my receipt emailed to me within minutes.

Wash the inside and outside of the equipment so it's easier to identify issues with said equipment. I picked up a trailer and the tail lights were covered in road grime and had a slow leak on the tire that was flat within 24hrs

Overall the equipment was in good working order and pickup and drop off went smoothly. However, the young man who helped out was listening to music in his AirPods and had trouble hearing our questions. Look, I was once young and remember what it's like, but I found the fact that he checked his phone and put his AirPods in twice WHILE helping me pretty rude. Again, he was able to process our reservation and got the equipment hooked up, but the interaction with the staff were a bit off-putting.

I accidentally misplaced or lost keys for the disk lock that was on the trailer tow behind. U-Haul service agents accommodated me and zipped the lock off with a grinder to help me complete the move. I had movers involved, professional ones and time was of the essence in regards to scheduling and waiting for a locksmith or roadside assistance or anything like this. Could've been expensive, but the U-Haul folks rescue the situation in approximately 15 minutes and the service was great overall Two thumbs all the way up.

I was told I would be able to move in on the 25th of January with no extra charges only to be told otherwise when I checked in, very disappointed. I was told by the attendant that she would pass on my co cern to the manager and have her contact me. I still have not heard back from anyone.

First the gate card wouldn't work then the locker they gave us was the wrong one but the right one had a lock already on it. Wr already unloaded into the Second unit to be told it was wrong so we said forget it let's keep it so they then charged me more for a bigger unit without telling me.

My experience with u-haul facility was great. Felt thr eaten by u-haul the fact that I rented a small storage for my Matt Pierrot who passed in June of this year and looking at getting his belongings out but couldn't find place to store. I originally intended to rent a storage unit in Edmonton at the U-Haul 50th street location. I rented a truck online from Friendly Mini Mart & Laundromat because it was only five minutes from where I live. I also reserved a 5 x 10 x 10 storage unit online from the U-Haul 50th street location because it was the biggest one that was available at the time. There was a notification online when I reserved the storage about reminding me to ask for the second month storage free when I rented a truck. When I arrived at the Friendly Mini Mart & Laundromat to pick up the truck on Friday, September 22, 2023, I mentioned this to the clerk and was informed that the staff at U-Haul on 50th street would look after that for me when I arrived there to secure my storage unit. When I did arrive at 50th Street location the following day on September 23, I discovered that the storage unit they had available would not be sufficient for my storage needs because it was too small. The lady at the counter did a search on her U-Haul database computer for bigger storage units at other locations and informed me that the Winterburn location had some available. She gave me a printout of these units and the prices as well as their phone number. When I asked her about the second month free option she informed that the staff at the Winterburn location would take care of that for me when I got there. Instead of calling the Winterburn location by telephone, I used the U-Haul app to reserve a 10 x 15 x 8 unit for the following day which was September 24, 2023. When I arrived at that location on September 24 to pay for the storage unit I was told by the female counter clerk that I did not qualify for the second month free offer because I had rented the truck in Edmonton and not at the Winterburn location. I don't think this is right and that it is very misleading because I was never given any indication prior that this was how U-Haul conducted their business in relation to qualifying for a free month of storage. In fact the 50th street location gave me every indication that I would qualify because I had rented the truck from the U-Haul company. Even though the lady at the sales counter at Winterburn was very pleasant and professional, and I don't have any problem with her job performance, the whole matter still doesn't sit well with me. I think that U-Haul failed in a number of ways in how they communicated matters prior to my travelling to Winterburn to secure the unit and that they should do the right thing and provide me with the free month. I was not made aware until I arrived there that I needed to rent the truck from their location. I fail to see the difference why it should matter where the truck is rented from. The lady at 50th Street location didn't give me a heads up about that either and left me with the impression that I was doing everything I needed to do. It's not an overly significant amount of money…just $190…however, I think that I entered into renting a truck and storage with U-Haul with the right attitude and expectations and they dropped the ball on their end. It appears that they have found a nice convenient loophole to deprive me of taking advantage of this promotional offer. I am thinking of making a complaint about the U-Haul company to the Better Business Bureau about the entire matter if the Winterburn location doesn't do the right thing in this regard. The only thing that is stopping me at this time is I am not sure if that location may try to blacklist me from any future business if I do file a complaint. I also discovered that I was overcharged $93,19 at the place I rented the truck from. I waited a week to see if they would reverse the charge but this morning I noticed that my credit card company had posted the transaction to my account without any reversal of that charge. Now I have to go and make a complaint to my to credit card company about getting that matter resolved which I shouldn't have to do if the U-Haul company hadn't overcharged me to begin with. Another thing that concerns me about Winterburn location is that there seems to be a number of people parked and lingering outside the security fence looking to drive in whenever a paying customer swipes their security code card. On just my very first two visits to my storage locker I observed there were two other vehicles that hurriedly passed through as soon as the gate was opened. It made me wonder who are these people and why are they waiting outside the security fence looking for an opportunity to piggyback other vehicles to get through the gate when a paying customer goes through? The whole matter didn't leave me feeling very secure about storing my belongings at this location knowing that there were perhaps unauthorized people driving around the storage lot who may not have proper access. I had to contact my insurance company as quickly as possible to add the storage unit to my home insurance policy in the event of break-in.

The building access information was not clear enough to state the specific order of accessing the building and which one of the three access management portals to use. I called customer service at the toll free number availed and I was incorrectly informed that my reservation was cancelled (by one agent) and non-existent (by the second agent). I was insistent on being helped by a an agent who seal with access issues and I was transferred to a third agent who was very knowledgeable and quite helpful. He transferred me to the location GM who quickly realized my confusion and while on the phone with me, quickly resolved my issue in a matter of seconds. I wish I knew calling the GM was an option because two of three customer service agents were either not well trained and/or didn't care enough to resolved my issue. I will recommend the online reservation and move in to my family and friends because it's a fast and very efficient process with a caveat to ensure they are using the correct access portal to gain access to the building. In addition, I would like to commend the Ms. Nicole Goruk, the GM of the location whose help was the only silver lining in this process. She took time off her hours away from work to make sure my experience was swift by providing pinpoint accurate information by guiding me through the process. Give her a raise !!!

Right from the beginning of the rental. I was rented a 10x20 unit that was completely flooded and was told no other unit available so we had no choice but to line the floor of the entire unit with pallets. Then they restricted the times we were able to access our unit. As time went on I at times didn't pay my unit for 6 months at a time but then always completely paid it in full. All of a sudden after my unit was only 60 days in arrears they informed me that it was going up for auction at which time I contacted them and complained because I found it easier paying every 6months rather than yearly. The manager told me that she had every right to put it up for auction after it had not been paid for 60 days. Once they told me it was going for auction I had the option to pay the settlement amount and I sent numerous emails and tried calling numerous times to find out what the amount would be only just to not get a reply to my emails and when I called whoever answered put me on hold for 30-45min at a time each time, before I could even tell them who I was or why I was calling. After being on hold for that long I would hang up and call again and same thing would happen so I eventually gave up. And now they sent me an email (from a no-reply email address) stating that my unit was sold and that I still owed a bill?!?!? I am very upset about the whole situation. I paid well over $3000 in storage bills for my keep sakes, valuables and personal belongings- just to lose it all to someone who paid $381 for it?!? That's totally not right at all.. especially because I tried to contact them and didn't get any reply at all. And even once they said "I will get back to you with the settlement amount" and I never heard back for 2 months- and now my unit is sold...WOW.

Locker contents were flooded and frozen to the ground. Was never told it would flood and never offered pallets for the ground. As I complained to the front desk they knew it flooded in the spring and offered no refund . Said it could claim through insurance. I'm not responsible for clean up the frozen boxes and blankets and papers still frozen to the ground. I took pictures of the damage. Also emailed manager with no response today. Sad!! Will never recommend your company.

It was very convenient to rent online. Parking is limited, to load/unload and it is shared with staff. But very minor. The facility was clean. I did worry about the location and the security of the building, but it was all good!!

You need to find a solution to the drainage issues at this location. Your signs/adds state "safe, DRY, secure storage" There's ice 3/4" thick in my outdoor ground level storage locker. Every locker we drove by that was opened, has pallets lining the floors

Loading bay always full with small cars. Loading bay is a nightmare. Never empty. Should be a limit of 1h per moving or a sort of moving in schedule. 15 min, 30 Min, 45 min, 1h , slots where you can book it.

The staff and service itself were great. Just the facility the layout is a bit poor with the parking lot. There's dolly's to use for your stuff except no flat surface to roll them off the sidewalk to your car. The lot doesn't have much parking as it's crowded with Uhaul trucks and a Genie lift taking up all the spots. You're trying to use the single elevator where you might be wheeling in multiple dollys and carrying heavy things and it's set with a quick door close timer and an alarm if you try to hold it open.

I was in a situation of uncertainty about my house and belongings with me working out of the country. I chose your storage facility and everything went well. My payments were taken out on my credit card and everything was smooth. Any problems were my own problems. I planned on the storage to be only a short time until I had more definite plans. Before I could return, Covid came along. Travel was next to impossible then my credit card expired. I called my bank as I am working in Cambodia, and they immediately forwarded a new credit card to me in Cambodia. That should have been ok as the number on the card would be the same. But, that was too easy. The card never made it to me. Therefore they couriered out a new card but this time with a new number. Meaning my payments could not be made on my credit card. I had to get someone to pay cash. But soon I will be back in Canada making decisions. It may come to the point where I may be back at your doorstep needing storage again. I would not hesitate using your facility again.

Was happy with my experience up until the last two months. I had purchased a year rental package and was due to move out in March of 2022. I started to receive emails in Jan that I had a payment due. I had already prepaid so I didn't pay much attention. They I started to get "Pre-Lein" letters and every 2 weeks, penalty charges were added to my file. I called multiple staff who said they would clear it up for me. It didn't happen as I kept getting notified. I finally spoke to the female manager there and she said to ignore those and it would be cleared up. I went this weekend to get my stuff and my code didn't work anymore AND there was a double lock on my unit and my account was still deliquent!!?? What a frustrating ending to my experience with this location. I won't be doing business with them again nor would I recommend them. This facility only does walkabouts every two days. My storage unit was broken into and everything I had was stolen. Over $7500 stolen and Uhaul did nothing. They refused to offer me any consolation or any reimbursement. All they offered was two months free rental. This is the worst facility ever with absolutely the worst customer service. They are thieves. DO NOT RENT ANYTHING FROM THIS LOCATION.

There was some issues with the fence not being open when we needed it as we were going out of town but the gate was frozen. It took 2 days to manually open the gate. Which not sure why they couldn't manually open it the first day. But other then that I will be back. Nicole and her staff are very friendly easy to work with.

Arrived as instructed to find the gate inaccessible. Was eventually informed after 30 mins of wasted time that the gate was frozen and no one was sure when it would be fixed. After waiting another 20 mins to see if the issue could be resolved I went home and resorted to calling every half hour or so to see if I could move in. After about 2 hours the problem was resolved. Unfortunately it was then dark in the facility and lights did not work - leading to an unpleasant move in while -25C outside.

It had 3 inches of ice from door to door in the spring. The door was falling off the track for 3 years and never fixed. Security is a joke with numerous break-ins including an attempted theft of my cargo trailer. I was told the security cameras don't cover that area. I am so happy to be out of there and will never have anything to do with Uhaul again.

Experience was generally good, but there were a few hiccups: - my storage unit was not cleaned out from the previous tenant and I had to move a lot of stuff outside of the unit (including rotting food) and clean the floor (with what I could find in the previous tenants stuff) before moving my stuff in. - I couldn't get a hold of the office staff to tell them about the above; they put me on a long hold. I did tell them about it later, however when I came in for another thing. - I had a hard time finding the exit/sign out kiosk the first timenI was there and had to search for it for about 10 minutes. I think the location of that kiosk could be better marked and communicated.

Stored our belongings to this facility. Not even 3 days our storage got burglarized. It happened in the early morning on a Saturday and they called us to let us know that it's been ransacked at around 6pm. You guys should invest in good lighting, wireless cameras (yes! The thieves cut the line) and a fence that's not easy access.

I was asked how long the stay would be, I said 4 months, and they noted it down. I later discovered I had been charged for a 5th month despite having been moved out for a full month, and when I called in they told me that when they asked that, it was just a question and they didn't actually do anything with the information, and that I will keep being charged until I notify them I'm out. Why ask how long I'm gonna stay, make it seem like that information is being taken into account while we draft the agreement, and obscure that asking me that had no purpose and only misled me into thinking I was on a set amount of time?

There are some great staff there that help you in the best way they can, then there are some other ones who are clearly overworked and not impressed to be there and it shows with their ability to provide even acceptable customer service. Paid for 24 hour access and on multiple occasions was unable to get in to my unit l, and the phone call into the store was unsuccessful just to be told "well it should work". I had to go into the office a few days later before I could gain access to my unit. Trying to phone in to speak with anyone is next to impossible and on a few different occasions I waited on hold for 45 mins to be told to hold again, and if you have have issue when you get to the counter when you go into the store expect to get a snarl if it's not one of the guys that are working. I would absolutely not recommend storage solutions from this uhaul facility!! Trailer and truck rental services are decent if you do all the self check in and return on your phone.

Tried to move in on move in date. Storage unit was locked. And they didn't give me the proper access code for the gate so I couldn't move in since no one was at the facility. I had to wait till the next day. Also the free lock wasn't in the unit. Had to stand in line for 2 hours just to see a staff member for the lock. The one staff memeber kept leaving the the till to go somewhere else. Finally the manager came back with one other employee and the line moved quicker. The manager at the store was also 10 minutes late while there was a line forming at the front door so the store wasn't even open until 9:15. I was done moving in at 9:30 but since I didn't have my lock I didn't leave until 11:00. Worst experience I've ever had and all they offered me was a free one month 24 hour service. Which is only $10.

I was going to Rate this place above average and say the staff were very helpful and friendly until I checked out. I had to wait at least 20 minutes before anyone came in to help because the only 2 employees I noticed were outside helping other customers. When one did come in to serve the growing lineup asked me want I wanted and I said " I'd like to check out". Went through the usual locker number and name. Then she asked if it was clean, I said yes then she promptly said" well if I go out there and it isn't clean I'll be checking you right back in". I said I swept it out I also wanted to say it is cleaner now then when I moved in because it wasn't swept out previously. Figured it was better not to aggravate her. I believe the place is understaffed especially coming into the end of the month. 2 people working for the volume they do is ridiculous.

My google review: Terrible experience at this U-Haul. I rented an outdoor storage space for my camper and the employee had no idea how to operate their system. It took him 4 attempts and 45 minutes just to reserve my spot, even though I had reserved online, and called ahead before I arrived. I was told conflicting information, one person said I needed a lock, another said I didn't, the employee reserved me a slot that apparently didn't exist. It was no surprise when I went to drop my camper off for the first time, my swipe card didn't work, and of course it was after hours. The security for the outdoor storage is terrible (anyone could jump the fence), and it is more of a storage dump for garbage than for campers. Needless to say, I turned around and cancelled the next day.

I reserved a storage space a week ago and went to move in. The staff were very helpful and when i went to put some stuff in the unit it had 2 other locks on it advising another renter they had not paid their bill. These notices were on another 9 units just on the way to the elevator. So i was rented a unit that wasnt even available. Upon going and advising the staff they let me know thay didnt have anything else available. She said she would call and let me know before they closed after her walk around. I didnt receive a call and had to empty my car load back into the house. So now im looking at alternatives to uhaul as they are not reliable. I dont have the time to move my stuff more than once into a space i was rented and they didnt even KNOW wasnt available. Its ridiculous.

The office is well laid out and clean and tidy. All around the newer part is clean. When we went to look at the drive up storage unit the weatherstrip along the bottom of the door was missing and the unit hadn't been swept out. That was on a sunday, tuesday was there to unload and the weatherstrip hadn't been installed nor had the floor been swept. In front of the container found rusty nails and bits of metal laying along the roadway between the storage units.

The storage container is dirty, full of ice and water. I was given another shed... only it belonged to someone else. Was given another unit, it was clearly too small. Ended up taking the dirty shed and laid boards down so my belongings don't get damaged. I had UHaul labour on site and I had to pay them for waiting around. I had no where to put my dust. I asked for the garbage and was immediately told I would be charged if I want to dump garbage. I explained no it just dust and dirt and some broken glass. I was instructed to put it by the tiny tiny recycle bin. Weird.

I haven't had a storage unit in this well known for being scumbag run by a bunch of inhumane obese losers that steal from the customers. This location made me lose everything and 3 years later they are harassing me with spam emails. I think they are fraudulently using my name and I'm going to hire a lawyer to find out. The first person helping me appeared to be new to the company or self-storage side of the business. They were friendly, but missed providing me some information. It wasn't until another person stepped in and finished setting me up that I got all the information necessary, and was even guided to my specific unit. The staff were personable and informative, both upon booking and again when I came to sign. There was an issue with my reservation that was immediately rectified above my expectations. The rest of our transactions were smooth, and even though I couldn't arrive until shortly before their closing hour, I was assured that they were there to help me, and didn't rush the process at all. I chose Uhaul for their pricing; I recommend them for their service standards!

I moved my precious items, my life into this facility where the staff seemed sane and professional but turned around and evicted implying I slept in my unit which was absurd and absolutely not the case. I had my uhaul booked to remove my things next day the manager Johnathan said I wouldn't return the truck when I've always returned the trucks on time paid in full cleaner then I rented it and no reason to imply I slept in my unit as I came and went once a day he was 100 % just bullying me because I dressed different and or being native he just outright didn't like me. I had to leave all my items outside for the night as I hadn't planned another truck being denied for no reason by this jerk Johnathan. I lost everything, they stole nearly everything. I'll never forget that. Karma will pay it's due to these scumbags at winter burn uhaul one by one the greasy fat losers will suffer a great loss then spend eternal in loneliness like I felt that cold day. Please do not support or rent from these people they are rotten terrible pathetic excuses of human trash.

the only thing I would add is that when accessing the facility after hours, the track on the small door is very cumbersome to get the carts over and through when the access to the sliding doors are turned off. if this could be removed it would help out immensely. I'm not sure if this is possible. thank you for allowing my comments.

Someone did hit and run to my truck, which was right in front of cameras. But the manager was unable to pull the recorded images or videos. Secondly there is no schedule for the manager, usually he is not there in office hours. Lot's of littering on my truck, I found dirty pillows, towels, etc on my truck. Front desk guys are awesome, like Braydon and Cataline, but unfortunately they don't have all the authority's, if the manager is not there

The billing process was frustrating. When something went wrong on your side, letters were sent out without first contacting us personally. These letters got to a friend before they got to us. There was no email or phone call. Both times, the payment didn't go through due to problems on your side which could have been addressed easily with a phone call (Free) and quicker than by letter (paper, envelope, stamp, irritation to customer).

Asst. Manger Nicole and another employee whose name can't recollect was not helpful but Katlin and Brayden helped. I needed a larger unit and unhelpful people denied unit citing its on hold. The next day I called and Katlin helped me reserve as it was never on hold but when I came in the evening the guy refused to give despite showing reservation email but finally a call to Mr. Brewer solved it. Mr. Brewer is great.

When i got to the store i went straight to the counter, there was only one other customer buying a few things, not busy at all 2 staff were working, It took staff an hour of my time to get me set up on the computer, then another 30 plus minutes to take me and show me where the stall was, takes me to my stall to find out it was rented already, then need to wait to get a different unit and then wait to get a pallet placed in the unit. I went back up to the office to see where the person went (i waited over 15mins) and you had a customer outraged because he was waiting for an hour and no one was helping him, i read all the reviews for this store and majority of the reviews say the same thing, and against that i came anyway and thought it couldnt be that bad...but indeed it was.

I had my unit broken into. A large quantity of my goods were stolen over the course of weeks, because I was never told that someone broke into my unit. I was then told that there was nothing that could be done and it happens. Now sometimes things do happen; but I can't say enough bad things About how the staff handled the situation once it did happen.

Staff are very friendly, helpful and accommodating. We didn't make any reservation for the storage room that we needed because we were told on the phone that no reservation was needed . However, the staff at this site was able to recommend better storage units for us.

There was camera's and a security gate, but I didn't have a light in my unit the whole time which I did mention. I also had a hard time getting through when I called the majority of the time. Besides that staff was helpful and friendly. I had another storage unit I let my daughter use but then didn't have access to make arrangements on afterwards so it cost me an extra $260 after she had moved out which I didn't appreciate. I've been a long time customer spending at least $5 000 with Uhaul over the years. I also had mice in my unit which went though some of my stuff and not done unpacking it all so not sure all the damage it caused yet. I think there should be better ways to deal with the mice situation as in under door guards to keep the mice out.

Above and beyond. The young man that i dropped the vehicle to is doing a great job He was quick friendly easy to talk to and rushed to help me check the vehicle in. My opinion, he should get a raise or a bonus. Really impressed with the guy I the front who signed me in for the rental and storage. He was polite a knowledgeable and I was out the door with keys and a storage unit in under 20 min. Good help is hard to find. They both left a good impression. I have bee renting a space for storing my Blazer about a year now and I feel confident about the security Uhaul has on storage for customers. I am happy also Uhaul management amended my storage fees to match my pension dates for 9th of every month to 30th of every month. This request is in effect now and ensures me that my preauthorized payments to Uhaul moving will never go delinquent till I no longer need storage which will be soon.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. They allowed me to leave the trailer there because I had had such a horrible experience when renting the trailer (in Victoria). They did not have any locks as someone had come in the night before and purchased them all so I had to use my own. My husband is coming in a few days with another load and he will purchase one then. I have used uhaul a lot within the last few months. From renting two vehicles and renting a storage unit. Not enough staff and always waiting. Staff giving the wrong information regarding storage units. I will never recommend uhaul Winterburn in Edmonton. When you're in the business with customers. You do what you can. Service from U Haul was not impressive. First my name was misspelled, due to this, the UHaul box was late, however delivered after numerous phone calls, the pick up was unprofessional.

I have used several storage facilities over the past 15 years. This one was the worst by far. Unit was advertised as 5' x 10'. It was just under 4' wide. False advertising! I expect compensation!
