The girl who helped us was incredibly helpful. She explained everything, took us up to our unit and explained all the check in procedures. It was nice to not have to guess at what she was talking about. She was very nice as was the facility.

You need to improve the off hours process. I was supposed to pick up my truck at 7:00am but the app was impossible to get through (it kept not functioning) and so I could not get my key till 9:00 am. The chatting help was worthless.

Make sure your reps/agents understand your policies regarding warranties especially when they are advocating that we purchase accidental insurance. Saying "Im not sure how it works, but youll be responsible otherwise" is honest, but very poor customer service and could have easily been clarified. Otherwise a great experience.

Inside where friendly but the equipment was bad ,i had a flat tire the tmps front the back was malfunctioning , battery die, also during the trip from tx to Wisconsin an back the truck sometimes would not start due to something with security system so when i would go and pump gas and turn of the truck literally had to cross my fingers so it could turn on

the 10' truck I did not like at all. You had to start it twice as something was still clearly wrong with the engine. The 15' truck I got this time, although longer, was easier to drive and way less bumpy than the 10' one. I will go with the 15' from now on.

Es untrabajo que deben hacer los empleados y se supone que pagan por ellos... No entiendo como si rentan la traila... Por cierto, el App es una basura... No abre, no responde y es más lentaaaa... Tengo años usando la compañía y jamas me e quejado. Me han cobrado doble. El seguro no me a dado el servicio e tenido que viajar sin luces porque no me atendieron... etc. Pero lo que si me molesta es la mentada cuota por hacer el trabajo de sus empleados... No abusen. I dont know. At this particular location, i never had a good experience with anyone on the phone. One girl thought she hung up, and proceeded to mock me about an issue I had. The I tried to call four times to be put on hold. The last time, the guy mumbled and than told me to hold. I also drove with a friend from San Antonio, TX to storage in Brownsville, TX (a total of 5,5 hours, and 5,5 hours back). The manager wasn't helpful at all, and none of the employees cared about the drive the day before when I checked at the location the day before to verify the ubox appointment. I get that Corporate wants to believe in their management, but this is a bad egg. *I also left a bad review and noticed this place (deservingly) got one star reviews. Later i noticed more five star reviews after my bad review. It was obvious the manager planted that.

The only thing I would suggest is for the person signing you in to tell you it is very important to watch for an email that confirms the condition of the rental unit when you pick it up. Mine didn't, and because we were packing it up I didn't see the email until late that night. I called the number suggested and was told it was too late to confirm. This unit had a pretty big dent in the fender and i worried all the way to my destination that I would be held responsible. Fortunately I wasn't, but it would have been nice to know. Otherwise everything was excellent. Thank you and I will definitely refer pickup and drop off locations to my friends

This location is a great location for this service but the employees are unwelcoming and lazy compared to other locations I've used across the nation. When the staff sees you walking up to the counter, they don't make eye contact, greet you or anything. Instead they simply walk away as one female did during my return of a vehicle. Then they make you return your vehicle using the app advising if you don't they will charge you $20 to do it which is complete lack of customer service nor have I had to do this at any of the other locations I've rented from in Texas or otherwise. I guess this is what service looks like today....very sad

The unit was not clean but was new and in excellent condition. Last year I left a very negative comment as the personnel in this location were not servicing customers. Now I noticed all new employee and the level of service was great! The supervisor and everyone else were on it. No one was chatting or on their phones! Thank you for the turnaround!!

I sent my uncle to pick up my things from the U-Haul container, as I cannot travel to the USA at this moment. I called the location to ask if there was something to do before collecting the items. They said that everything was okay. As an extra confirmation, I called them the day before four times (morning and afternoon) and they did not pick up the phone. When my uncle arrived there, we were informed that we should have requested access to my U-Haul container 24h in advance. So, my uncle had to spend an extra night for which I covered the costs. Therefore, the service at that facility is not efficient nor informative.

The seat belt latch worked correctly and felt secure, but there is an issue because the no seatbelt alarm kept going off. But it was secured. The rest of the vehicle was perfect. Excellent!!

My items got wet due to a leaky roof and it should of been dry storage and I lost alot of money on the items discarded by employees from my unit. Carts were almost never available only about 4 carts for whole facility, and when asked the employees there response was "you have to wait" only 1 employee of all of them went to look for carts, non wanted too. Would never recommend or use this facility again, waste of 2 years of payments for 3 units.

I made the store aware that the safety pin recepticle was "wallered out" and unsafe due to the jack stand not being stable when I returned the U-box. Earlier, it had collapsed in my driveway whereupon I called support who informed me that it would cost me $300 to have onsite assistance. I jacked the tongue up myself and discovered the issue, then reported it to support who dispatched a service provider. The provider determined that I had not inserted the safety pin in correctly, causing the collapse, however, he did note the damaged recepticle which could not be remedied at that time.

I opened up a claim with support on my drop off date and I have yet to get a response to this date. The issue was that the cabin of the truck was leaking, which got me completely soaking wet and it was unsafe to drive in the rain with water pouring on my shoulders and back. Also my couch got completely wet due to water coming from the floor of the box. I sent pictures as requested by the support team but I am still waiting for a response.

We were from out of state, rented a transit connect. Pick up time was 1:30. Van was late getting back, we waited one hour total for it to arrive. The only other option to rent was 24 and 30 foot trucks, way to big for what we needed. The employees were fine just set us back. When I dropped off the van I was charged 15 for gas even though I filled it up to the amount we received it in. I drove 90 miles, added 4 gallons to fill it back to 3/4 tank. This van get maybe 24 city unloaded and never hauled anything. So 4 gallons was what I used. I'm just tired of being charged fees when I follow the guidelines. IDK it's a damn uhaul who cares.

The customer service was great no problems whatsoever. My main issues was with the actual truck. The truck had many scratches and dings that wasn't even recorded. The seat belt top part from the drivers side was damaged but the worse thing about the truck was actually the steering wheel. That thing needed an alignment so bad it was very loose and wabaly. In order to drive straight you had to almost turn the steering wheel to a 90° angle. Overall you would think they'd be concern on the quality of the trucks they rent out but it seems not.

When we arrived the storage area was not as described by the online rep. The young guy helped me organize another room that suited what was being stored. He was very helpful. Only issue was one of the counter people was talking on facetime or similar when was talking and it was confusing if they were talking to me or the person on the phone.

I rented a truck and movers as well as a storage unit. After struggling an hour to try and get the truck, the movers left leaving me with no one to help move. The whole process was awful so I decided to just cancel the storage unit. The staff at the storage unit were helpful in cancelling.

The email confirmation I received online stated hours of operation to access the building from 8am to 10 pm. I also called to verify time just in case and was told by u-haul representative that answered the phone that I would have access to move in my property until 10 pm. Upon arrival of the facility, there was a sign on the door which stated the facility was closed and I was not able to move in my belongings. Time and effort was wasted to gather my items to take in. Additionally, I had to rent an additional garage storage to ensure my items were not damaged by weather outcome which caused additional expenses incurred. I called the number provided and The manager was messaged and called and she did not answer nor respond. Today upon revisiting the facility, the manager was informed of the situation and had poor customer service regarding the issue. The owner got involved and was very helpful. She offered to refund our first month deposit which was helpful to compensate additional expenses previously stated. My husband and I were very displeased with the whole situation.

I would recommend UHaul in general for I was a former GM for U Haul. I highly commend the manager for stepping up and assisting as the need aroused in a personal medical situation to which the manager comforted us on insuring me that my vehicle will be safe on property due to medical emergency. Manager and crew are a true Blessing.

The facility claims that there was an "odor" coming from out unit but could not be specific. They called and demanded that we remove the contents of our unit. Neither the movers or new facility found there to be anything unusual or excessive about any odor our belongings. We will never us U-Haul again for any of our storage or moving rental needs after the way the female that called handled the "issue."

We would send payments and in most of all the time that we were there they claimed that they did not receive payment, And would charge us late fee's because they claimed that they had not received payment, when I went and spoke to management they stated that sometimes they would not review the mail and might have thrown the checks away by mistake., 2ndly they did not have a printer to print your receipts, UHAUL being such a big facility could not afford a PRINTER.... Very unsatisfied....

You should have a red flag on the black rodent poison boxes to warn that it is rat poison,what is engraved on the black box that is poison does not show so...you should put like a red flag saying danger poison or something.

It is on an unfortunate note that I write this review. I had reserved and paid for storage area at the U haul facility on Boca Chica and Paredes Ln Rd. for a period of approx. 6 months having paid in advance. I am currently out of state. On Mar 18th my tech went to check on my 2015 Forest River RV, to discover that the catalytic converter had been removed. I spoke to the Asst Mgr. Markos Cruz. I called Mr Cruz who was very attentive and receptive to my dilemma and was apologetic about the incident. I removed my vehicle from the premise on the same date fearing for additional damages. Mr. Cruz advised me he would call the GM J. Guerra. I called Ms Guerra on two occasions,she did not bother to take the initiative to call me or return my calls. I am appalled that a professional at that level does not have the decency to return customer calls, especially since she knew of the damages to my vehicle. They were in excess of 900 for the part stolen. In addition, I understand that some other persons reported the same kind of damage. I called the police and a report was filed to which no response has been noted. I finally spoke to MS Guerra on Mar 25 as she happened to be at the facility. All she told me was that it was up to me and my insurance to resolve the issue and was sorry about the damages, although upon my encumbering the location I was never provided a copy of the guidelines and rules for the facility. Thereby not allowing me the opportunity or option to make a valid decision. After having discussions with the GM and Asst. Mgr. I would say that the Asst Mgr has a better grasp and ability to deal with these types of situations that come about, more people oriented and compassionate about people's situations. In my estimation and having been a high school principal I believe Mr Cruz deserves a mgmt position. Since the removal of my vehicle from your facility, the tech has discovered that while at the facility my vehicle has other damages including the removal of the control module, which manages the automatic leveling system. This part is currently priced at $551,00 plus installation. In conclusion, I had paid the facility rate from Feb to July, however on the reimbursement document the month of April was not reimbursed.......If possible, please respond to this complaint at your earliest convenience.......Thank you

Had made a reservation for an 8×10 storage unit only a few days before driving down to Brownsville from Dallas. I showed up early on the morning of the 12th as noted on my reservation. I specifically needed the 8 foot wide unit to get a large sofa in the back along with another sofa i would flip on top of that 1st one. Despite having reserved a unit i was told they gave it to someone else....unbelievable that after having a reservation and relocating all the way from Dallas that you would give away my unit? I commend the staff for trying their best after being put in a bad spot having to tell me that the unit supposedly reserved to me was gone and no 8×10 units available. After several minutes of trying to find a solution as there are no other temp controlled places close bye the staff recommended two 5×10 units. Although not what i reserved and made me have to buy another lock and take care of two units it ultimately worked. I would ask that after the 1st month free the manager honor my original price of $89 per month which was reserved.

I had selected a first floor unit for reservation. Apparently the "system" made an error and it was not move-in ready so I did not get a first floor unit I had to get a second floor unit. What is the point of reserving if I'm not going to get what I asked for? Aside from that, check-in took forever. I believe the gentlemen who was helping me was new nonetheless it took almost an hour for everything to be finalized.

Everything was great just one employee was rude when I was checking out of my locker. She was yelling in the room some personal gossip while on her phone, ignoring that the employees were busy helping another customer and me and just barged in and trying to ask about some gossip and showing something on her phone. She was walking around the counters and back room on 1/19/22 at about 12:40p.m. Other than that, my experience was good.

For starters the manager is awfully rude, the employees aren't well trained, and they end up screwing the customer with gas because the tank is not where they say it is and if you return it with more gas than what they give you the truck they still don't reimburse. One person says another and customer service also says one thing, but the manager since she's the manager says everyone is wrong besides her even though the agent at the store and the agent on the customer service line say the same. Well then train them better. Discourteous attitude and on top of it all talking over the customer very rude unprofessional manager.

Twice we had no carts to move our boxes and the employees at the desk answer was "customers Don't bring them back and that, the fact that we don't get one cart to transport out belongings will teach people to learn not to still them. That made us realize that they were not ready to help customers in all we their needs. We did not see a friendly face, smile, a welcome to the store etc etc.

Alarm needs to be fixed. It randomly went off like 10 times while we were unloading. Scared my daughter. Other than that it was fine. Please fix that situation.

Terrible service, was given a call a day on September 13 at 12:33 pm and was left a message saying I had 24 hours to go and place lock on storage unit or would be moved out. I made sure to call the next morning on September 14 at 9:59 am and was told a message was going to be sent to make sure it wasn't done. Showed up today and was told that my storage unit was moved out and would have to rent again.

Just rented and have not moved in yet so not truly able to comment. The office and grounds are in good condition. Staff is friendly and helpful.

At lobby girl did twice the mistake with my order and then went to clear my storage which was gonna be change then told the manager and she saw what went on and she didn't even say sorry or nothing just stayed quiet

They will charge me twice for a medium storage and give me a storage unit that was already occupied by someone else. It was already closed when I found out. I had to unload my furniture in someone else's house because I had to leave my old apartment and leave out of town at the same time. Terrible experience. Lack of knowledge and consideration.

Automatic doors were a problem; often times not working. Cart availability also a problem. Understaffed, long waits in line.

I had reserved First Floor and was not granted that. Also when my reservation was done, it said a free lock was included. But when i asked the young lady at the desk she said i would have to pay for it.

I'm only rating my experience as average because of my experience with a couple your employees. When I went to rent my truck and storage space in the morning, the employee who helped me was very professional, polite and helpful. However, when I returned a few hours later to unload the truck there were two younger men on staff and while neither one was particularly pleasing to work with, there was one who was extremely rude and unfortunately, this is the second time I've had this experience with this same employee. I had gone in a week or so earlier to inquire about pricing and this same young man was very impolite. It's unfortunate really because if not for this one employee I would've had much better things to say about this UHaul location.

I like the place it’s very clean the only thing that’s missing inside of the storage is a light but other than that we love it it’s clean it smells nice do you only thing is like I said there’s no light inside the storage the rooms

I loved all the process had awesome communication with customer service. I ran into a couple of problem and they fixed them right away. The only thing was that I did not get a detailed receipt. I would like one.

Great customer service when I arrived from my long drive Anthony was very helpful and took his time on explaining everything to me very patient and understanding. I would definitely recommend this facility to my family and friends excellent customer service 

The place was very nice. Two things frustrated me though. First, every time I was there, except at move out, there was only one employee and it took a while to get help. The second is I rented the storage space and then I got the uhaul to move my stuff. The place where I rented it said I would get my first month free with you. When I called I was told I had to rent the uhaul and then the storage space which makes no sense. I asked if I could discuss it with the manager. They took my information and I never heard back. I'm big on customer service and it was lacking here.

I was very, very impressed with the organization and cleanliness of this facility. It is squeaky clean, temps are well maintained, staff is awesome. Everything about this facility has exceeded my expectations.

It took longer than necessary to get the storage unit. About 3 out of the 4 employees on duty were chit chatting or on their phones. People in line were upset having to wait till they looked away from their phones. Even though they saw the long line they stepped in and out without worry about their customers.

One of the 3 storage Rooms had lock on it couldn't move stuff into and i had told person upfront (woman) that we needed 24 hour access she didnt add that so when we drove from san Antonio tx to Brownsville tx we could not get into storage to unload so we had to spend money on a hotel room. So disappointing
