Tana MThe trailer gate was very difficult to open. The location only had one employee working at the time. I waited a long time to get help. I person who helped me was very nice and helpful and friendly.
Abraham AYa know, I've been moving my entire life. Air Force Brat turn Enlisted Navy when I was in my 20's to simply just figuring it out as I truck along in my 40's. I have had some bad experiences with storage and truck rentals and I have had some great ones. This Milwaukie branch has been a lot of the bad ones, but My experience yesterday was so proundly good that I can't remember any of the names and faces of any of the bad experiences. I cannot quite remember who helped me but that Marine Vet saved the day.

Craig BI rented a van on Friday 3/29/24. Getting the van out the door of the store was difficult because the corporate system was crashing. The manager at the store persevered as best as possible to take care of customers. When I returned the van the same day, the system was completely down so I was unable to pay. On Saturday 3/30/24, I replied to an invoice mentioning that Uhaul had my card on file and also noticing that the invoice provided no link to complete payment. I didn't hear from Uhaul until Tuesday 4/2/24 when I received an email from Uhaul's credit collection department threatening me with collection. As soon as I received your corporate email intimidation attempt, I went to the store and paid for the rental, which of course was my intention all along despite all the obstacles your system presented me. Again, this is not in any way a reflection on the store staff, but a definite complaint about your ridiculously aggressive corporate policy in pursuing payment.

Ir was a dusaster tinewise snd I reslly would like a paper receipt ad I still can't access your wifi receipir via e-mail! Also, it would be nuce to kniw the fees up front! could be a budget issue !!

GRANT RAppreciate all staff members who we worked hard! Staffing shortages complicated things. I moved to a storage unit closer to home, 10 ft tall and less money.

When we got to my location to load up my storage unit, the whole back of the trailer was full of mud and piles of mud and empty dirty boxes. And then I noticed that one of the brake lights wasn't working. I have rented from them a few times and I've never had this problem
Teresa LGM is rude and condescending. Speaks to people very unprofessionally. People like that shouldn't be in management positions. This needs to change and I will be telling everyone. You guys need to rethink management at this location. Poor management equals loss of business.

Jared PThe check in process through the app was slow and kept hanging during the upload process. Not sure why but the app was very slow. I had to upload the pictures 4 times and it finally just disappeared saying I was checked in.

Orlando DThe same day I rented a trailer for $62 an employee abused my credit card and charged me $341,44 for a lot of random things I never purchased. Good thing I caught it, but I wasted allot of time trying to correct this. One of their employees is a crook.
GREGORY AWe've used U haul's help complicated moves from MN and SC to OR and to store household goods in the past two years. Dealing with the local offices has been very smooth, friendly, and for the most part efficient ( long waiting lines at one location, broken lock,promptly fixed with one Ubox). My main difficujlty throughout was getting through the main phone lines to finally get to talk to a local person who could help us. Actually had to stay up until the wee hours of the morning to get through several times. Otherwise there were long 'holds' ( 45 min +) dropped calls, hang ups, misdirection to incorrect numbers only to have to wait etc again and again. Love that some locations have the 'leave a box- take a box' option!
lucinda lImprove your online checkin process. I submitted ID, credit card, and finished all required checkin items and I ended up going thru the entire process again. The gentleman at the store, Brian, said that the system doesn't sync properly and that there's glitches that need to be remedied. Also, issues with fuel called out when checking in. Paper said 7/8 tank but there was actually only 1/4. Not a big deal but it does bring forth a gap in process. Reason from Brian on the gap was that homeless people maybe jumping the fence stealing gas. If this is a true risk, not only will I be hesitant to recommend this store to friends, but also should raise concerns for the onsite storage facility. Either I was being fed a line to cover gaps in the fuel documentation process, or you have vandals and thieves that have access to your facility. I recommend finding the gap and solving the breakdown.
Chris PDidn't check my vehicle until the next day and tried to charge me a late fee cause they thought I still had it. Why would I have it a day later without you reporting it stolen? Place isn't trustworthy to me.

Lisa MI drove a van 26 miles and ended up adding 3 gallons of gas to the tank that was supposedly full when I started. When I told the attendant that the tank clearly wasn't full at the outset, he asked if I had taken a photo of the gas gauge, something that I wasn't guided to do when I started out. I then was told that I would have to wait about 1/2 hr for a manager to determine if I could be reimbursed for the extra gas. I didn't wait. Please learn from my experience.

Vanny BThey do not give you very good access to any indoor storage units, they complain if you open any outside doors to get closer to the indoor upstairs unit, and threaten to charge you if you accidently lock your unit closed but not fully latched, and threaten to make you pay$50 fee, and repurchase one of their locks, They will not let you use your own locks. And just over all rude when talking to you about it. In my opinion way over priced for all the BS.

Chuck m | Expérience généraleThe truck was 100 % out of gas when i picked it up (the paperwork said it was 1/4 full so I had to buy extra gas (once to get to my destination and once to return it at 1/4 tank) Then after hours of exhausting moving, I arrived at the storage we bought with my remaining items to store. I couldn't access my storage. I put in the code and it said "kalvin you're checked in" but the store never unlocked so I could open it! I couldn't find the manager on site. No one answered the phone including the facility manager whose text number I had from the card. So i had to drive the truck to my sisters house, past my drop off time and using extra miles, to store my stuff in her garage temporarily.

I hope this helps ID her. She was spectacular!! Originally I was slated to move into two smaller, middle of the building units then right as my moving help arrived, she realized that there was ONE larger unit. Turns out that unit was filled right to the door and was the perfect size for my stuff. What a great first experience of kindness in my new home. I had moved from IL to OR and was just road weary and because I am using the storage, technically "homeless" at the moment. Her kindness lifted a heavy burden and made my life just a bit better in that moment. Kudos to her and to the management for hiring and promoting human kindness.

They dropped something from above and now I have less of a fricken storage unit. Never had this happened. When I walk in I almost hit my head and I'm 5"4. I will be dealing with this tomorrow I'm not paying this amount for half of a storage fricken unit and believe you me i will take pictures and get this out . What an absolute scam.

Then when I called the day of to confirm because I was running behind schedule I was again told as long as I checked in by 7 I'd definitely have time to empty my truck. When I made the reservation I was also told it was a first floor unit. It was not it was at the top of a flight of stairs.

The other 2 had customer service skills that could have been outdone by a porcupine - slow, surely, very unpleasant. This is a very temporary solution for keeping my daughter things between apartment moves. I chose U-Haul storage because I have used our local storage in Washington several times and have always had a fantastic experience. That experience did not carryover to this location unfortunately.

Sometimes I can't even reach it going thru the parking lot to reach that way. Tho I will say every time I have asked someone has gone right out. But I worry about if all representatives are with customers having to wait, I'm never using my vehicle so I worry about tying up whoever is helping me.

These employees are the example of, how all companies should encourage, upbeat, cheatfull, fun, extremely helpful and great at relating to the customers quickly. Instead, I was given two smaller and extremely inconvenient units- inside and upstairs where we couldn't bring the truck (it would have been hours of backbreaking work to unload and re-pack. The staff were not friendly or apologetic. I cancelled the reservation and went to Public Storage, where everything was incredibly smooth, easy and comfortable. When I returned the truck the next day, I had barely opened the door to check in when the person at the desk yelled at me from across the store that he didn't need anything from me and to leave the truck and go. My experience with the truck and pick up in LA was good, but I will never return and will never recommend U-HAUL storage. Public Storage was a far superior experience.

Deborah V | Premières impressionsMy husband and I arrived at our local u-haul facility after a 9 hour haul. We had confirmed reservations for drop-off and storage unit. However, the clerk disappeared when he couldnt find us in the system and some time later a manager appeared. He stated that I had no such reservation for storage or drop-off. There were about ten frustrating minutes of the manager stating (almost taunting) "We don't have your reservation and you SHOULD have the paperwork in hand". I let him know, as a manager, that to blame the person for the FU done by U-haul was in bad taste. When I made a call to corporate U-haul, they found our reservation right away. The manager still refused to process me or even look in the computer during the call. When U-Haul sent over the reservation directly his manner changed instantly. Suddenly I was a paying customer and not a vagabond looking for a free box to crash in. Even so, they were out of the storage unit, a 5x10 space. we had reserved to unload our belongings. So, a 10x10 was finally located and it was 2 times the cost. And the space was down a harrowing tunnel of fluorescence and metal doors that would have been ever so tedious to traverse and painstakingly slow to move items on a small cart down such a long hallway. We decided to put our stuff in a shed and forego any more transactions with u-haul. I would not recommend this U-Haul location bc management is rude and the line was so long. Several customers were told that the trucks or storage that they had reserved were not available due to overbooking and shortage of equipment.

You can smell chemical odors when you drive by their open units, that appear never to close, only to get tarped closed. They also jump out and scream at you randomly while visiting your own unit. This went on for 4+ months. I attempted to message you via your website but got cut off multiple times. As a busy person with a business, it took me some time to find another option. But I'm thankful I did. As we were leaving another homeless person with a large full shopping cart was moving into the storage unit down the hall. Our lock looked like it had been tampered with and the unit door looked like it had been bent at the bottom. I've always had good service by you folks at other locations. This location is just horrible and needs to be rebought by corporate. The employees are unfriendly and unhelpful. I feel like they owe me for at least half of my rent back, due to negligence. I was paying for my things to be safe and they were not.

I was told that he has a lot of Nice homeless people living there!!! The facility is not a home to live in. The whole place is filthy with used needles and garbage all over! I had to move out the next day. I was talked to horrible from Ron. I was also told that I should go look at other storage places they have the same thing going on there! Every time I went there I had to go to the office and report a problem. Mostly talking to Ron. I never felt that my stuff was secure there. Really all I have to say it WAS THEY WORST EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD WITH A UHAUL! Thank goodness the 3 people I talked to on October 3rd 2020 were very helpful and understanding on what is happening there. Also Ron I did get a refund for a whole month there because of you! I am looking forward to talking to his boss soon and I am not going to hold anything back from him. I will never tell anyone to go to this location because of the general manager there. I have never been so disrespected from any MAN as I was with RON!! I could go on and on but I will be definitely not going to let this go till I get to the top person of uhaul!

We needed to rent a truck and get storage in a major hurry. The staff were super helpful, and the manager even helped us out with locks, because we didn't have the right ones, or the money to buy them right then. I am impressed with the security of the facility, the ease of access and the professionalism of the staff. I highly recommend this U-haul location for truck rental and for storage.
