Customer service was exceptional!
JOSEPH DI had a bike hitch installed. Convenient location, seamless drop-off and pick-up. Plus, my car was ready earlier than expected.
Maureen DTwo days after I got the hitch installed, the wiring had to be redone in a different U-Haul. The person redoing the wiring showed me all of the errors that were made during my move. I had to go down underneath my car and fix the hitch because they did not reinstall the padding underneath my car correctly, and it was Drooping down into my wheel. All the errors made were due to negligence and laziness and is unacceptable.
Corey OWould be ideal if you could allow rescheduling appointments on your App. I tried and it did not work.

NICOLE FWill never go back to this location. Employees there are miserable people. Don't get into customer service if you don't want to deal with customers.
Kyle RNone of the 3 employees came outside to show me where the vehicle was located in the yard. After trying the keys in 2 vehicles, I had to go back in to get 1 of them to come outside. The vehicle was in the back and I would have never found it. The truck wouldn't start when I got home. I had to call roadside assistance. The truck had 14 miles left in the gas tank.

Craig MFirst and foremost, never leave your keys in the ignition and shut the door. You will be locked out of the car and have to pay $250 for roadside assistance to come and unlock it for you. We had a scheduled pick up time of 8 AM and when we arrived to grab the U-Haul It was blocked in. Someone had dropped off a U-Haul and blocked the exit for all the U-Hauls. I was told that we would have to wait till they opened at 9 AM for someone to move the truck. No offers of switching to a different truck that was available and not blocked in. Then, when we came back at nine to get the truck It was very cold and so we turned on the U-Haul to warm it up and resulted in being locked out before we even left the U-Haul parking lot. No one at the store would help us and when we called roadside assistance they told us they would have to charge us $250 and there was nothing they could do about it but that it happens all the time. We ended up calling a locksmith instead to charge 150 because it was very difficult to open the door. I am very disappointed in this company and it's customer service and employees. Moving is already a very stressful process and they made it so much worse. They either need to tell their customers very clearly that they cannot leave the vehicle running and not be in it, or will be locked out, or fix this problem. It definitely seems that they have done neither just to make an extra $250 off people.

sundar sThe associate when we checked in was very helpful. Our van was ready to go. It did have the low pressure light on the whole time we had it. When we returned the van , 2 1/2 hours later, we realized the fuel and mileage were noted incorrectly with what was listed on the contract. Also, they said they would get to it later to check back in and we would get a receipt. By 4pm, we had not received a completed receipt and called the customer service number. Amanda helped us and she made notes on the contract and included pictures we sent her of the miles and gas. We received a receipt 10 days later and it was wrong! Sent 2 emails to Amanda, the rep I talked to, with no response from her. I will be calling tomorrow to get this bill figured out. While we use U Haul often for long distance moves and such, I will be rethinking my patronage of the company.
Carol K1. The trailer clearly had lived a hard life. I had to lubricate the fill die to have it with smoothly. There was no handle to pull it down, only a strap. The strap is useless once the door is mostly down, you need to push down to close the door and hold it down to latch. I got hit by the latch several times trying to hold the door down and activate the latch. 2. The trailer had some construction debris in it. Plaster ir cement. It came back cleaner than I got it 3. You did not have the appliance dolly I reserved. This made it quite challenging to get the job done. The piece of curvature is stuck in my garage because I needed to get it up stairs. I will have to either rent one locally or get a bunch of people to help me move it. 3. For pick up, the site seemed stresses by staffing. The person who helped me at do of was very nice and very helpful. You need to fix the timer on the outside lights. It was hard to back the trailer up in the dark.

Connor PThe trailer was full of construction debris. The UHaul employee did sweep it out, but every time I would stop and open the gate to move things, shingles pieces and shingle nails would fall out. I had to make sure the shingle nails were picked up so it didn't puncture tires.

Matthew BWe were given a truck with a lock on the back. Didn't realize until we got home. Tried to call this location several times and no one answered. Had to go back and have them cut the lock off, but obviously they could not have checked and cleaned the truck before they gave it to us with the lock on. Also, someone in the office just sitting on their cell phone, asked why she did not pick up any of the calls i made and she said the phone never rang. When I questioned that she said the phones are often broken and not her fault. I lost almost 2 hours of my move day that I could not afford with no consideration from U-Haul. Never again!

Edward JThe gas gage said 1/2 tank, while our Agreement indicated 5/8. We filed it to 5/8, bit not happy about it.
Sharon DFix the truck I rented. The side mirror rotated every time I hit a bump. The backlights on the dash would only light intermittently, so you couldn't always read the gauges in the dark. These are SAFETY concerns.
Joseph AWhen you reserve a truck at a specific location, you usually expect that truck to be there. Not sure why U-HAUL finds it acceptable to send customers miles away from their desired pick up location on an already stressful moving day. The truck I was given also had almost no gas in it so we had to fill the tank before getting started. Very disappointed.
Erica BThe person who checked me in was the most impersonal person I have ever met. I walked up to the counter, he was on his phone. I stood there waiting for him to say "hello, or may I help you". NOTHING. On a scale of 12 to ten, I would rate this person negative 30. I stood there waiting, he just looked at me, said NOTHING. If this person represents U-Haul, it's a sad state of affairs. Honestly I would have walked away and gone elsewhere if I did not need the rental. If I was the manager, I would fire this person immediately, no questions asked.

Edward JI ordered a hitch online and also made the appointment for the installation online. When I took my car to the U-Haul facility, the hitch had not been delivered yet. The employee I talked to was nice enough and offered a new installation date. At the same time, he mentioned a possible discount - after all I had had to take a day off. The hitch was finally installed a couple of days later and I asked for the discount. They fobbed me off with a 'We put it into the system - it's not in our hands any more'. It's been three days since, and there's no reimbursement on my credit card.
Andreas WFind people who want to work. The guy who worked there did everything to not help me at all. Unacceptable. I was so angry, but I just kept it to myself. I will never ever use uhaul from this city again. Horrible. Car has a problematic tire, there was no dolly installed, and for some reason there was a huge tire installed occupying my space. 0 stars.

SEAN CAfter hours return was extremely long and difficult. Had to download the app in order to return the van. The app would not let me take the pictures needed to complete the return. Had to call customer service, very helpful person walked me through online return not using the app. Return took me 45 minutes to complete.
JOSEPH TI also had a great experience at the Brighton U-Haul location. I pulled into the facility the staff member guided me where to park and he quickly and efficiently disconnected the tow dolly and ended my rental. He seemed to be the only staff working the lot and had everything under control.

kenneth gThere was almost no fuel in the truck and the check engine light was on. Otherwise clean and it served the intended purpose. There should be a standard that a vehicle should have at least a quarter tank of fuel.
