The van was great. But I had reserved a dolly as well. When I got there, the staffer simply said there were no dollies available to rent. He did say the one in the lobby was available to purchase. My advice is to have a backup plan for the extra equipment you may need.Anthony H.

I could not praise the manager (I regrettably forget her name) enough for taking a â€œworst case scenarioâ€ and flipping it into one the top customer service experiences I've had! The first question of this survey would have been answered VERY differently if I hadn't have had this manger handling my experience from beginning to end. I was pleased with my first simple interaction with the manager as she made a Friday rental with no prior reservation possible and with such a friendly, helpful and even cheerful attitude for being the only staff member on site. But this is not even the interaction with the manger that causes me, a millennial, to even leave a review in the first place. I never do reviews. There are a lot more details to this story but I'm not here to write a story. Short version- I get the uhaul & it has ZERO gas In it- which i thought was odd considering I've rented many trucks and never seen a truck literally on empty. So I go the closest gas station- pump 20 $and before I can even print a receipt, I start smelling Gas. I look down and gas is pouring out from the tank underneath- I was only a mile away so I drove it back and the very first person I see is that manager with a joyful smile on her face standing In the lot waiting to be helpful, that immediately took me from a panic, angry, and defensive place to a much calmer state of mind. I told her what happen and she didn't hesitate for a single second on taking the responsibility and actions necessary in order to correct it. She had me in a new truck and on the road with a smile in less than 5 minutes. This is the interaction that impressed me, this is the interaction that showed leadership, problem solving skills, & a genuine person with people skills. It didn't end here- my last interaction with the Manger is what made me write so much about my experience In this survey and to make it solely about her. She was just as helpful and kind in our last interaction if not more, that showed me it isn't an act and that she is very consistent in how she treats a customer , from beginning to end and even during a extremely stressful situation that occurred completely out of her control or fault- but she owns it. That's hard to find. She is the real real- & yall need to know it so I wrote it. I hate that I don't remember her name & I tried to look it up on the website for that location and it wasn't listed and probably isn't for any locations BUT that should change because she treated me like that was her personal business on the line and that woman deserves to be credited for operating as such.MADISON F.

I returned the truck and gave the keys to the attendant. They never checked in the truck and charged me extra days even though they had the truck 2 days before the rental was due. I have called several times to try to resolve this but no one from the store ever calls me and I have to go through the national phone line, waiting on average 30+ minutes so they can get no response from that facility and send them an email. I've been using this company every time I move and I've always had great a experience. The location I go to usually is on Greenville 7043 Greenville Ave, Dallas, TX 75231. The location I use today located on Ferguson was the worst. I had to ask about the insurance and he seemed annoyed when I asked, I had to fix my mirrors on the uhaul by myself. Do you know how much of a pain it is to jump back and forth to make sure the mirror is good for me to drive? I did see that he was the GM of the place. He was rushing my payment and when I went outside to get into the uhaul he got into the van that was next to me and started honking like a crazy person. I will never come to this location again. Makes me upset that I had to give money to this location.ROBERTO L.

Dropped off the truck at 6:00 before close, not even 30 minutes later I called them to let them know I had accidentally left behind a few couch pillows in the cargo portion of the truck. I ended up speaking with an offsite representative because they store was not answering my call, she put in a â€œnoteâ€ that they would retrieve them so I could pick them up in the morning. When I arrive the next morning to collect my items they had been thrown away because they weren't a personal family item, or of value. What kind of place wouldn't hold something regardless? If they were packed items in the truck, you would assume I wanted them to be moved with me. The front desk guy was very nice and helpful, but the overall situation is just ridiculous.ALLYSON P.

Had a hitch installed - ish. The guy who did it cut a hole unnecessarily in my bumper, stripped where the screw went in so now there are only 3 bolts going into the base on the car, and he did all of this solo cause the other three guys in the shop refused to help him. Felt bad for the dude but man it's a lot of mistakes too.Matt M.

Car was delivered extremely dirty with food crumbs all over the floor and seat. The bathroom at the location had a broken toilet .. so was impossible to use. The staff told me they could not provide me a receipt and then overcharged me 50 $which was sent to me hours later in an email. Will NEVER rent here again. I have two kids in college in Dallas.. and this was the worst experience moving with Uhaul. Bad location for sure.Shannon Q.

If I could give you zero stars I would happily. First of all your 24/7 rental is pointless if the store doesn't leave the keys in the trucks. I did not get the 6 am rental I requested until 735 because your store didn't put the keys in. The same store is run by a manager who showed up at 720 (you open at 7) drunk and useless. I did get to spend that time watching another employee get high in his car while I waited. Not only did I run so late because your staff is ill-equipped to handle daily operations and you know have the trucks ready to go 24/7 as you promise I was so late waiting to pick up my truck my movers left and I had to hire same day movers to come and help me. Do you know how pricey that is?! Plus because you caused me to run behind schedule I missed my furniture delivery. Youre entire operation is a joke and not only did I spend 40 minutes in a chat and holding for a live representative only to be told that its not their problem and I shouldve booked when the store was open I returned the truck which was absolutely FILTHY I was unable to note any of this in your app because of technical issues. What kind of crack head is running uhaul because I've seen better management at a lemonade stand run by 6 year olds. You didnt provide the service I requested and if your store I rented from would pick up id demand my money back. Yall should use those trucks to move the whole operation to the trash cuz yall are garbage.Jamie A.
On Friday, July 16, 2021, i initially ordered a 26 foot truck. When i got there, there was a 26 truck that I tried to use but it was totally on empty and wouldn't start. The CSR said they had nothing else but the 20 foot which really inconvenienced me. The Uhaul website guaranteed that I would be able to get the 26 foot or I would get 50 $so I would like my account credited. My final balance was 108 $but it should be significantly less. This is my second time responding about this matter since Friday. MerciLAKISHA W.
Greetings! The quote for your local move will be 150 $/hour for 3 movers. If the movers will need to utilize stairs then it's 165 $/hour for second floor and 180 $/hour for third floor access. Depending on the contents inside and the approximate location of your apartment and elevator, we estimate that most two-three bedrooms take approximately 4-6 hours to successfully complete. I rented and returned my rental the same day. The person who checked me in didn't actually check me in and my rental wasn't checked in until 11 days later. UHaul therefore charges me 682 $dollars more than they should have. Still waiting on refund.David D.

Returned after-hours but unable to return using mobile app, so was automatically charged the "convenience fee."
