I am actually neutral on my experience at this locationâ€¦ it was neither good nor bad! The inside had a very strong smell of either gasoline or propane which was not good at all! I was not walked to my truck or given any general operating instructions which would have been nice since I made to whole 8 mile round trip in tow/haul mode! I accidentally turned it off when I returned the truck! I will say when I returned the truck I was greeted by two very nice, very kind young men who have the kind of customer service I did not get at the start of this experience!DIANA D.

Have a more precise location. I was informed the truck was located in the uhaul lot when it was two blocks away in another lot. The truck was almost empty. I paid for blankets/pads and there were none upon pick up. I called customer service and informed them. I was told I wouldn't be charged since no pads/ blankets were provided and I was charged. I will never recommend uhaul with how bad my experience was.Drake S.
COMMENT!!! The unit is under staffed!!!! 39 min wait time for five minute function. Not the reps fault. No help long line. The whole place was void of staff. I am sure there were people who walk and you missed moving supplies because because you could not find help. Someone ought to be selling every service offered. Excellent place and offering but no help. Now I here the refrain constantly: can't find help. Raise their wages and working consigns. The place is disorganized ant not kept cleaned. My thoughts are business would increase and sales would increase with improved wages and you would have a higher caliber employee.PEDRO R.

I used the app to rent. When I returned the truck, it would not let me upload the picture of the odometer and fuel gauge. After trying 5 times and verifying the app had permissions, I finally had to knock on the window of the store even though they had been closed for an hour. Fortunately, there were still some guys inside. They allowed me to give them the keys and they finished the return process the next day. I like the idea of the app rental process, but it still has some bugs.BENJAMIN P.

The guys at this location went above and beyond to help me. The only issue involved the computer system mis-charging me when I picked up the rental - and the guys could not find a way to override the charge. They exhausted every option before having to give up, at which time they offset the higher per day cost by not charging me for all of the days up front, as they knew I didn't have the funds available to pay for all 3 days at the higher rate. They could have chosen to just not rent to me - instead they bent over backward to help me. A++++++++ rating, for sure!!!Lisa B.

Was a little concerned that the gentleman didn't ask for name ect just said to leave keys in it and go..but recieved recipient soon after in email and everything was good. I picked up vehicle on 10/10 11:00 AM at U-Haul Metcalf, returned & handed over the keys at 10:30 AM CST at the same location (7740 Metcalf, OP, KS-66223) on next day 10/11. (less than 24 hours). Lady at front desk who collected the Keys from me at 10:30 AM CST informed me that, "All Good, you will get the receipt in an email. You can Go"... However when I received the receipt in an email, got shocked to see the two major errors.. WORST CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE...ALREADY COMPLAINED...WAITING FOR RESOLUTION.. 1) I was charged for 2 days rather than 1 day. In the receipt Returned Date time mentioned as 10/11/2021 12:54 PM (I returned at 10:30 AM CST, which can be verified in Cameras as well). Worst part at this location is, when I dropped the key, I was not given any kind of receipt indicating /Acknowledging Date/time & charges. (Home Depot U-haul always do it) 2. I traveled less than 20 miles, so I have filled Gas (1,5 GL), but receipt shows below additional charges... Environmental Fee: 2 $:00 Fuel Service Fee: 30,00 $ Fuel Charge (4 GL):17,10 $ PLEASE AVOID......so that you need not spend time later to get the issues resolved which you are not responsible for...Jayaprakash G.

Hitch install guys are great, the lone desk person was not. A manager needs to be available to answer their questions since there seems to be a big problem with the computer system as it relates to paying for the service, there was a long wait time was at the desk and other customers were helped rather than letting me pay. Also the card reader did not work which added to the frustration.Clark G.

I secured the rental and paid only to find out later I have to go all the way into Overland Park, Ks when the truck was reserved in Kansas City, Mo on Blue Ridge and 71 Hwy. She confirmed over the phone the truck was available at the Blue Ridge location. I was upset that it cost me an additional 50,00 $ between gas and your mileage charge. No one adjust the invoice to accommodate UHauls mistake just matter a fact told me there is nothing that can be done. Upon my return I park the truck and enter the faciand 2 guys sitting at the counter would not even acknowledge me while the spoke about football. I finally said I here to turn the truck in and they said well see the guy outside, then the guy from out side came came in and said give me the keys not hello or sir could I have the guy just flat rude people like we all know your process for returning the truck. I told him the keys are in it and that the brakes need look at. No one address it and I watched them give it to another customer!!! Wow I will not use UHaul again! Horrible customer service with the exception if when I arrived the lady was very pleasant even with a long line due to being understaffed.JAMES U.

The manager was nearly an hour late getting to the store. Other employees were there to work but the store was locked. About 20 people were waiting to be served. They thanked me for waiting, but they did not offer an apology nor a discount until I asked. When I returned the truck, they charged full price. After I asked, it was reduced by the 50 $quoted in the morning. I would go to a different location.Theresa W.

They were short staffed at the Metcalf location and we waited in line for 30-45 mins while one person ran back and forth confirming vehicle numbers. It would also be cool to find the Uhauls more updated in the future: more tech upgrades like cruise control, Apple car play, etc.Mathew C.

Vehicle was full of dog hair, window crank was broken, low coolant light was on, seat belt didn't retract, trailer wiring has a short that causes the dash to black out, windshield wipers are shot, cup holders had food in them, bolts are rolling around on floor of the cab and the radio clock has never been set.Aaron E.
