I really wanted to rate the Waukee, IA location. The young man working on Sunday by himself was really stressed with 2 customers he could not satisfy with the equipment he had to rent and me, just returning a trailer. He did a phenomenal job under very trying circumstances. He deserves a raise and a promotion.James A.

Drove to a Kansas City, KS location only to be told I had to go to Overland Park, KS. Jumped into line and was behind 13 other customers, and the location had 1 person working the counter on a Saturday morning. After 3 people got through line, a 2nd employee came to help. Line was very slow. Reserved 4 dozen blankets, but they only had 2 dozen. The truck was dirty. Rope and string all in the box truck still from the last move that was tied down to the sides.Eric M.

The facility overall was OK there was nothing wrong with it it was functional clean and imprisoned well perand did well. The staff was nice and courteous But very very slow and lacked any sense of urgency at all towards the customers and trying to get us in-and-out. I actually had to go and ask if there was somebody that would check my truck in for me so I could get going and he was sitting at the desk. so I think that they could improve on their sense of urgency trying to be a little bit more swifter getting people in-and-out .STEPHANIE S.

I chose mobile pick-up option to make it faster, more convenient and easy to do. When I got there my truck was blocked by another. I told a worker, and he did nothing, literally kept walking. I know he was busy I saw him, but he could tell â€œgive me 5 minutesâ€ or â€œI'll be back with youâ€ instead I was left guessing what to do next for a while. My gf then went to tell him and same thing happened. After around 15 minutes he finally got back to us, moved the truck and told us we have to go inside to the counter to ask for the key. That wasn't supposed to work like that. Then once I came back to drop the truck, the other worker was also rude, I wanted to ask something and he would interrupt with â€œjust leave your key on the truck and we will email your receiptâ€ independent from that being the question. Answered that 3 times in the middle of my question.Bruno M.
It needs more store front personnel and cashiers. The only cashier was attending customers needs with rentals as well as handling the customer contracts. It was good to have the text U-Haul contact information handy, it really helped to communicate with customer assistance that way.Rosa P.

Two things for improvement: 1. additional help to move customers through the line would be beneficial (I know the hiring climate is tough right now but additional team members would be timely). 2. there needs to be a way to contact the office, i.e. direct phone line. When I went to pick up my reserved van with the email/contract in hand, the young man behind the counter told me it wasn't valid and I would be paying almost twice the amount due to the mileage I was driving. He was unhelp, unclear, unmotivated to help resolve or try to understand the issue and overall very frustrating. Thankfully, the man who was working outside getting vehicles for customers was able to assist me and very quickly got me the van and told me the information I had via the emailed contract was correct. The van was clean and just what I needed for my trip but the initial experience with the first young man was very bad.Barbara N.
