Was referred to this location after the van I got from the first place turned out to have a hole drilled into the gas tank. I know now that I should have just come here to begin with. The employee who helped us (maybe his name was Andrew?) was super understanding, helpful, and competent. He got us in and out in record time, which I appreciated since I had just spent the last 2 hours dealing with the original issue. Drop off was easy and quick.
Karen GThe vehicle was completely out of gas. As we drove away the gas light came on. I put $20 in gas in but only received a credit for <$11. We were also overcharged for mileage. We put less than 9 miles on but were charged for 27.
AUDREY GIt would be great to review where the wiring would be located. I was expecting it to be run under the car and attached next to the hitch receiver rather that from inside by the spare tire and out through the hatch.
william mOur truck mileage was not accurate when we accepted it, unfortunately we did not take a picture. We were charged double what we had been quoted. We did however have proof our our mileage driven and our gas receipt. The person at return was unwilling to assist us, the person who I spoke with after logging a complaint was helpful.

Katharine Sthe fuel gauge didn't seem correct on the vehicle when I added 5 gallons of gas the tank ought to have registered full. It did not. The manager said no problem and now I see additional charge from Uhaul now I will have to go to the store and find out why. Don't see any documentation of miles to driven No transparency should not be on the customer to sort it out. Disappointed.

Oluwasegun OThis is simply the best location to rent from. Sean and his amazing team provide the best service in town. I rent from multiple locates frequently throughout Portland. I've seen it all, some are bad some are worse. Uhaul On Powell is number one.
Dustin CI tried using the online check-out process and it was a disaster - thankfully the folks at this location jumped in, took over, and helped me get on my way. There are some significant issues with your contactless checkout process that could be improved - most notably if you would prompt folks to collect their additional information as well as the 'contact' the evening prior - it would allow more time to work out any issues before needing to pick up the actual vehicle. I also think that some of the screens in the check-out process could have major improvements in clarity as to what is going on or what is needed from the customer..it gets a bit confusing at times. I say this from the perspective of a systems analyst - this is one of the more problematic checkout systems that I have interacted with. Again..the folks at the location were wonderful and took good care of me - just the automated system needs help. Merci.

Jane AManager Sean Cark misled me into thinking he was going to install a wireless trailer light sensor in my vehicle (which I brought to the office and left with him). He then insructed his technician to install a wired system that I never asked for, charged me over $200 for the wired system he installed, and refused to refund me when I requested a refund for his office installing a writing system that I did not ever ask for. I literally put the wireless transmitter and the wireless light system on the counter in front of Mr. Clark before this installation happened - and asked him to install that specific wireless transmitter, which he said he would. At no point in time did Mr. Clark inform me that he was going to install a wired system that was incompatible with my wireless trailer lights. One other male employee witnessed all this (and it is on camera). He knew that's what I wanted installed, and I left those items with him with the understanding they were going to be installed. At no point did I request a wired system be installed in my vehicle. Please issue immediate refund.

Michaela EI locked the keys in the truck. When I called the location they said the only way to get help unlocking the door was to call the 800 number. I was told it would be $210 to unlock the door. That's terrible. You are a horrible company.

Michele BThis location and the personnel there were excellent in every way. However, I absolutely detest U-Haul Inc.'s website because of the way too many clicks to finish the reservation process. It has totally unnecessary efforts at up-selling.. One Page, that's all it should take. Also, your phone tree system is an embarrassment, especially with its constant efforts at getting one to use the app.
Clyde SUpon arriving at the store, I was met with a line of customers, indicative of a busy morning around 9:20. Understandably, this led to a longer wait time, but what truly soured the experience was the appalling level of customer service. The lone team member at the front desk appeared disinterested in assisting customers, despite being the sole representative available. While not outright rude, their lack of enthusiasm and willingness to help was palpable. To compound matters, they offered flimsy excuses for the extended wait, citing staff shortages and computer issues. Outside, the situation didn't improve, as another team member was observed aggressively yelling at customers to move their cars from the lot. This unnecessary hostility persisted inside the store, further adding to the tense atmosphere. The pinnacle of poor service occurred during my return process. Opting to utilize the U-Haul app due to the lack of assistance, I was once again confronted by the same aggressive team member. Despite my attempt to handle the return independently, they insisted on involvement, displaying a complete disregard for customer autonomy. This consistent pattern of neglect and aggression highlights a glaring deficiency in the store's customer service standards. It's evident that management or corporate intervention is urgently required to address these issues. Additional training and a comprehensive review of customer service protocols are imperative to prevent such experiences from recurring in the future. As a loyal customer, I implore the management to take decisive action to rectify these shortcomings and restore faith in the brand's commitment to customer satisfaction.

Thomas SStaff was pleasant and helpful. Only downside would be. There's no parking on premises so you have to find a place on the street which is fairly well monitored by video cameras if you're close to the U-Haul parking lot and immediately adjacent to the U-Haul office.
DOUG BMy lady is allergic to animals and there was hair all over the passenger seat and it stunk like a wet dog or something in there.. it wasn't good and on top of once the car went over 40-50mph it started swerving to where it didn't even seem like a little alignment problem it was more than that. I would like a refund
