Trucks shouldn't be sent out with only a quarter tank of gas. First thing I had to do was go to the gas station to add 10 gals. Quick and easy from start to finish otherwise

This place was run so poorly. Bad customer service, and an employee even refused service because “they weren’t clocked in yet,” on top of that the rental truck was dirty when we received it and the list goes on.

I've been to this location several times when I suddenly had to move. So nice. Even when I brought back a damaged van. Pay for that damage waiver! But, my move went smoothly due in part to Uhaul. Their reliability and great customer service made a stressful journey so much easier to deal with. Thanks to everyone at 43rd and Powell in Portland OR!

Ordering online was a bit confusing, and I’m still not clear what the difference is from checking-in in store, checking in online, and using the app that I was constantly asked to try. Also I wasn’t happy with the overall cost. $0.89 per mile seems unnecessary on top of the original fee and having to buy gas before returning. I’ll definitely be using Home Depot’s truck rental service for future needs.

Truck smelled like cigarettes. The nickel and dime price scheme is a bit irritating. They charged me 5$ for using the pads eventho I didn’t use them. I bet they do that every time the dolly is used.

I used the online check-in/out feature. Our movers arrived late, so I called to our location to confirm that we could drop off our truck after hours and not be charged extra, and was told this would be fine. When I went to check-out after hours, the lot was blocked off, the online check-out feature did not instruct me how to return the key (which was lock-protected at the location), and over charged me for both time and SafeMove (I had opted for a $14 option and was charged $28). I was very pleased with the customer service at this location and the truck, as well, but wish the after hours services had worked out more smoothly. Thanks!

I moved 10 miles yesterday, yet I was charge a total of $250.00. I can't express how astonished I am. Yes, it is completely my fault for not dropping of the van at the same location where I rented it and I understand that, but to be charge a $182 one way fee? It feels like I have been robbed, and it is painful. I don't even see that charge advertised any where on the website, or my contract. Just to add salt to the wound, I spoke with Justin at this location, and although he was knowledgeable, there was no empathy. It felt like speaking to a wall which hurts even more. I have to borrow money to buy groceries for the week, because no one walks into U-Haul expecting to pay $250.00 to move less than 10 miles away! That $182.00 fee is something every customer should be aware off, and told when picking up a van. I should have known about a fee that high, because I am in a beyond shocked state right now.

Please fill your pick up trucks with gas prior to renting. It is not fun to try and figure out the exact amount to get to 1/4 of tank and then when coming up 2 gallons shy getting charged an additional $30. Its kind of BS, you can easily figure out the going rent fro gas and change accordingly.

Arrived at the store at 6:50am knowing that the store would not be open until 7am. At 7:10am noticed that the store was still closed. At 7:30am store still not opened called the number on the door and was talking with Tim who I informed that the store was not open 7:40am he was attempting to find out why the store was not open when a truck pulled up and a few service employee's walked into the parking lot and noticed that the store was not opened(7:45am. One of them mentioned that the manager Dave was here and was trying to find out why the store was not open....finally Dave found some keys and was able to open the store.....apparently the employee had called in sick but didn't tell anyone. Dave completed the paper work and the equipment was ready in the lot. so we drove off to my house (8am). When I opened the back there were no moving pads.......so I had to go back to the store and mentioned to Dave that there were no moving pads....his response was that he asked me if I needed anything else which I didn't because the dozen moving pads were on the list of the equipment...Dave did throw in 6 more moving pads. I felt that because of the wasted 1.5 hours there should have been a manager discount or something better than an addition 6 moving pads. I was extremely disappointed with this experience

The online check-in and out system is the worst thing U-haul could have created. Because of it, I will never rent a truck from this company again. Even though the truck itself worked out ok.

This location was extremely unhelpful. I returned my uhaul here and then the next day received notices that my equipment wasn't turned in. Clearly the employees here don't care about their job and they accused me of keeping the uhaul like a thief instead of cross-checking their equipment. After calling and having to be transferred (instead of taking 5 minutes to just look at their own trailers) the issue was still unresolved after a week. I had to call several more times to be transferred to some unhelpful people who then transferred me to roadside assistance (who was the most helpful person in the entire company) just to call this location again and force them to resolve the issue. They finally went through the camera records which took about 15 minutes. A week long debacle that ultimately could've been resolved in 15 minutes because these employees didn't want to do their job and file the correct paperwork, etc. Not a great experience.

Everything went well and does not need to be improved at that location.My only bad experience was when my calls were picked up by people in Phoenix. They did not have the right information and so I have taken to do all my communications, of which there were many in the last months, in person. Phoenix should be improved.
