Contract#25978643 was noticed 9Nov2022 by UTSA campus police with expired temporary 2021 Arizona license tags. Taylor was told that if while returning to Austin San Antonio police or state highway troopers stopped me or vehicle was in an accident, box truck with altered insignia in rear and passenger side would be flagged. No idea that approved extensions had been reversed due to mistyped debit card info so update showed me overdue since 10Nov2022. Employee Ivy Shrader made no mention 5:43pm11/30 if blocked debit card or vehicle labeled as "stolen.". 7:30am 1Dec informed@turn in 4021 N.IH35vrhat technician was directed by computer to call police to property to take action against me Abt stolen truck.

I guess you don't think of the word “reservation” the same way I do. I reserved a trailer at a specific location and U haul changed that. Ok not my favorite, but not a huge deal. I decide to call this location the morning of my pickup to confirm everything was in order. I was told that you were overbooked and had 3 reservations and 1 trailer. This is so unprofessional. So I then had to rush down there immediately to hopefully be the earliest of 3. Is this really the experience you are going for? I did happen to be the one who got it. Im sure there were 2 much unhappier customers that day.

First of all this is not the location that I made my reservation at 3 months ago. Nobody ever even bothered to contact me to let me know that my selected location had even been changed. What was I supposed to show up at my selected location to be told they don't have a truck? An hour before my contracted movers are supposed to be there? And then he tells me that he doesn't have an appliance dolly and that I might be able to find one at another U-Haul location. I told him no I made this reservation 3 months ago you find me one. There's no way I can move washers and dryers and heavy furniture down two flights of stairs without an appliance dolly. He finally got off his lazy ass and went out and started checking trucks that had been returned and found one. Your personnel are not checking the reservations the evening before to make sure that they have the equipment that has been reserved. If it's been reserved especially 3 months in advance you the company need to find it you need to make your employees accountable. If he had not found that appliance dolly in another return truck my move would have been a disaster. For some reason the way that you all are wanting to do everything online you're fully Staffing locations but yet not holding them accountable. This is unacceptable

If you provide a “guaranteed” arrival, maybe it should actually arrive on time? I missed a day of work and pay only for my 2 U-boxes to be missing for a few days without any agent knowing where it was. I had to reschedule the movers I had set the day before with another uhaul agent who had said that it was going to arrive on time (only for it not to after I had called off work and scheduled movers). THEN, when it finally did arrive 3 dates late I had to pay the additional fee for the movers as their rates are higher on the weekend.

There's no parking for customer vehicles. The van rented was in poor shape. Back Door didn't close well, rear passenger side had been in a collision and let un-repaired. The steering wheel was almost 45 degrees off center making it somewhat challenging to adjust to, and it felt like the alignment or wheel balancing was off. The van felt pretty sketchy at freeway speeds.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. However, I had a problem with my drop-off confirmation. I originally selected Victoria, TX as my drop-off location. Before I left the pick-up location, I changed the drop-off location to Port Lavaca, TX. I dropped-off in Port Lavaca and later learned that I was charged a drop-off fee for dropping off in Port Lavaca instead of Victoria.

Truck broke down first five minutes. No oil in the vehicle. Had to wait all day for assistance. Gave me a dirty truck with no gas as a replacement. Promised me a discount, never got one oflr even a phone call.

If you have a lifted or a high-clearance car, make sure you request the manual jack at the time of dropoff because this trailer is very heavy, and the jack is almost impossible to use with the handle, plus you could brake it. I had to request roadside assistance because, when I returned the equipment after hours, no one was there, and all the tools were inside, and I was unable to take the trailer off the hitch, and I had to wait about two hours for roadside assistance.

I was not given enough miles. I only drove from the rental store to the apartment I was moving from and then straight to the apartment I was moving to and then straight to the drop off store. And I was charged for extra miles.

This location was OK. But our original location off Ben White was horrible. We reserved a 20 ft truck for a specific time and we got a phone call 15 min before pick up that they didn't have a truck for us. They didn't even have a 26 foot truck. And the closest truck to the size that we needed was 3 hours away in Houston TX. We had to go to another location last second to get a 15 foot truck that was not big enough for all of our furniture. We also had to check out of the apartment that day and then drive 7 hours to another state. The entire day was a cluster and the lack of communication and timeliness of that communication from U-haul was the reason. One of the most unprofessional moving experiences I've ever had. You can't wait til the last second we someone has an entire weekend of moving to another state dependent on the truck they reserved. So unprofessional.

Everything was fine with the pick-up and drop off of the 8 ft pickup I rented. I do have a concern though. Someone ran into/side-swiped the truck the day before I returned it. This wasn't my fault though as the vehicle was parked and I wasn't even inside of it. They took responsibility and gave me all of their information which I passed along with the drop-off. My concern comes in with the fact that I was still forced to pay the damage deductible even though this wasn't my fault and should be paid for by the other party's insurance company which I provided the info and policy number for. I should be refunded for that charge which I believe was $150+tax.

Come to find out the trailer didn't have running lights. For a 12 hour journey during the night time, this was totally unsafe. Luckily we caravanned so we had a car behind the trailer at all times. The helper at the pickup location didn't check all lights, only brake and blinkers. He also didn't check the order and didn't include the blankets and dolly. I admit to being overwhelmed at the time and not thinking of this myself, but it's also not my job.

I had an appt scheduled to put on a bike hitch. When I got there they acted like they had never heard of such a thing. I was quoted 2 hrs for install when originally they said it would be 30 min max. The front desk guy was also hiding behind a door and avoiding me. It felt like I was taking crazy pills. It was a wild goose chase and I felt like I was at a frat house. I'm too old and tired for that.

You can start by hiring some software QA testers for your website - it's full of bugs - I made a reservation online in April for a pickup of a trailer for 24 days in August and I called 4 times because each time I went to the website to check on the reservation process - it showed the reservation was booked for 1 day, not 24 days. Closer to the date - the details online were INCREDIBLY wrong - I had an address for one place with a phone # below it that didn't match to the store listed and the online prices for extra insurance and the reservation totals NEVER matched what I was quoted over the phone with a UHaul rep. I get to the right store and the reservation STILL ONLY HAD 1 DAY booked! Being the honest person that I am, I brought printed out screenshots of what a correct reservation amount should be, but they couldn't figure out how to update the reservation in the store so I paid ~$60 for 24 days of rental. When the trailer got hooked up, he told me to twist the chains repeatedly until they were tight - but your online guide didn't say to do that. After the trailer was attached to my car, they noticed a light on the trailer wasn't working and replaced it while I was in my car, not looking at it. Later that night, I checked the lights and it wasn't working. I had to call UHaul road assistance because even though the store right up the street from me was still open - the mechanic had left already and they couldn't help me. The roadside person came out to my house and he said they wired it in backwards and it could have also caught fire at any time!!! Also, the time estimates were WAY OFF - UHaul told me it would be 55mins until the roadside crew showed up - but it was more like 5 minutes. I tried calling back, got a different person who was very UNHELPFUL, so I had to wait 40 minutes for the helpful person to call me back. At this point it was decided that the trailer would be picked up from my house as it wasn't road legal and a DANGER. The helpful person on the phone arranged for me to go back to this store in the AM - when I got there - they were understaffed so it took 30 mins before I could speak with the store clerk and then couldn't find my new reservation. They finally worked it out and the new reservation was updated for the correct amount of $$, btw, but this delayed my travel plans by 6hrs and it caused me a LOT of stress. On the actual roadtrip, the connector fell off and we were in the middle of nowhere, with a trailer with no lights and there were UHaul locations nearby - but NONE OF THEM WERE OPEN!! I had to stop and buy a new connector at an autoparts store.

the contract said the fuel was at a half tank but when I drove off it was at empty. had to stop almost immediately for gas and then was charged for not returning it at a half tank.

I've used this U-haul location several times and will continue to use them for future needs. The staff is always helpful, fast service and knowledgeable about their equipment. The pricing is fair and their are never "surprise charges".

When I showed up they asked if I was sure this was the location I was supposed to drop off at. I said yes and they left for 15 minutes to check the computer. Not friendly but not nearly as bad as New Orleans. Next time I move I'll be using your competitor.
