Il y avait 2 employes...celui qui me servait ne voulait pas me rembourser en argent comptant malgré que jai payé cash. Il voulait me rembourser debit et il ny avait pas dautre solution. Lautre employé à aussitot prit la parole ayant entendu la conversation et a dit...si elle veut cash tu lui paie cash le remboursement. Merci a se jeune homme. Lautre employe manquait un peu dexperience ou de savoir... il mavait lair désemparé ou détaché, mais je sais que vous changez vos code de caissr tout les jours par email. Hiiii merci. Cetait mardi soir vers 18h00 environ. Pour le reste votre entreprise est primordiale dans ma vie et jen retire beaucoup de benefice mentale dentreposer mes choses a bon prix. I had booked to return the trailer on Halpern in Ville St-Laurent which was an address offered for return when I booked the trailer. This is a small garage that rents Uhaul but when I arrived they told me they didn't take returns. I ended up having to go to 2 different places before finally going to Lachine where they took the trailer. Pretty frustrated!

I paid late,(2 weeks) definitely my fault, however the system that you have in place is extreme and agressive, borderline harassment. 3 emails, 3 letters to my house and 2 letters to my emergency contact ( which I felt to be a violation of privacy) My storage locker blocked. I went to pay it during my break at work, and when I went back about a week later to get something the lock was still on. I had to go back to the office and ask them to remove it. They had to check the file to ensue I wasn’t lying, then I waited 15 minutes for them to come. The guy that came was nice, but was not wearing a face mask. I did not feel like a valued customer.

The truck was clean, but in poor condition: it badly needed and alignment (I had to drive 45 degrees to the left to go straight); the doors didn't fully close so the cold air was flowing in; the rear door was very hard to close; the engine shot down while driving at some point; there where hundreds of damage stickers on the truck; since the doors weren't closes right, the light cabin stayed on which made it hard to drive at night; the trucks made a bunch of rattling noises. The online drop off didn't work, but a nice employee left a note on file so I wouldn't get the 20 $ fee for not dropping off online.

Check your gas before you leave because i forgot because the truck was full of snow and i left quickly!! The manager jean marc in Lachine charge me 57$ of gaz for 8 km wowowow this is the way uhaul treat there customer this is the way you get treated!! Never again uhaul and you no what never recommand you to no one ever ENTERPRISE next time and thank you for making me realize that you guys no longer care once we leave whit a shit truck shaking from everywhere tjats it

I'm going to explain my experience in a fairly detailed way in order to point out all the incidents that took place on Saturday the 30th of January 2021. My original reservation was supposed to take place at U-Haul 8101 Montreal-Toronto Boulevard. My reservation was to pick up the van at 5:30 pm that day, so due to the curfew that starts at 8:00pm, I called to check if it was possible to move my reservation for earlier in the day so that I can be able to finish the move in one day. I called in between 9:00 and 10:00 am, the nicest woman answered (I remember she mentioned that she was in St-Louis Missouri), checked the schedule and told me it was possible to move it till 12:00 pm same day, which gives me approximately 8 hours before the curfew. I called again to mention that I will be a bit late, so another woman (also very nice) answered and moved my reservation till 12:45. I arrive at the U-Haul Location at 8101 Boul Montreal-Toronto, on a day when it was -26 degrees outside, enter the shop, and 2 mins later a guy tells us (my brother and I) that we have to wait outside because they only allow 4 people inside (although we asked very politely if we can stay inside in a corner behind a storage cabinet away from everyone else, and they refused). After some 15 mins when there 2 clients left, we enter again, and 2 mins later someone tells us that one of us has to step outside because it is 4 families, not 4 clients, and due to the regulations someone should step outside (although I am fairly sure, if the employees are following the provincial guidelines, they won't be allowed to say that). We sucked it up and my brother waited outside until our turn came. I walk up to the person who should give me my “guaranteed” reservation and to my surprise that what I reserved didn't exist, he started making up things that an agent tried to reach me and I either have a wrong number or didn't hear my phone. I called him out on his false claims, the. He mentioned that I am allowed for a 50$ refund. (I don't mean that the 50$ was contingent one calling out his creative excuses) Anyway, I tried to control my frustration and tried to see if there's anything free in town that I can take to finish my move on Saturday. He did some calls and found the same équipement at a nearby location (which is the location that I ended up using) There everything was super smooth, and everyone was very nice. Very easy pick up and drop off. Didn't have to wait in line for anything. All around, great service at 2100 Norman Street. Can't say the same about the 8101 Boul Montreal Toronto. (No client will ever be compensated with 50 dollars if he scheduled his move on a certain day). Thank you, L.

Temps d’attente très long pour passer au service en personne et impossible au téléphone, trop de système automatisé pour finir a jamais parler a la bonne personne. * De plus j’ai voulu aller chercher ma remorque le dimanche 24 janvier dans un stationnement louer a l’extérieur, impossible car il était inaccessible, autre remorque et montagne de neige a l avant. J’ai aviser que je viendrais chercher ma remorque dans ce cas le 29 ou 30 janvier. ((( hors la personne n à respecter ce qu elle m a dit, la personne a huaul Lachine a bien dit qu elle transmetterrait le message pour et que ma remorque serait prête le vendredi ou samedi. Nous somme aujourd’hui dimanche le 31 et ma remorque est toujours prit dans la neige et devant une autre remorque!)))

I have booked the truck for 8h30 and it was ready at 9h30; not practical when you have a moving crew waiting...and I have paid for moving blankets which I. never got; I spoke to someone for a refund at the customer service, but that person seemed confused. I hope that I will be repaid. Finally. I returned the truck with more gas, but obviously there is no credit. Net net, not a good customer experience.

Le service à la clientèle pour un samedi matin , c'était très occupé et l'attente était trop longue .... seulement deux personnes pour répondre et remplir le contrat entre des déneigement des toi de camion ....le déblaiement devrait être fait avant que la clientèle arrive , déjà ça , ça sauverait du temps . Les employés ne sont pas professionnels, en pleines époques de pandémie alors que nous sommes tous victimes de la perte de nos emplois, eux peuvent travailler mais ne portent pas de masques, ils sont désagréables, ils hurlent les un sur les autres, la responsable du jour racontait à quel point les clients sont des « cons », j'utilise ses mots. Bref je ne reviendrais plus dans cette succursale de votre enseigne.

Would have been nice to have winter tire on the pickup. Since i rentrd it on the 16 of January, snow day, i couldn't do anything in the city because to slippery and no traction even loaded. And didn't want to risk going to canac to pickup isolation by the highway. So did only 50% of what was plan because of summer tires in winter in Québec

The windshield on the truck i rented was covered in snow and ice. Took about a half hour to claw it with my nails. A scraper with each vehicle would be great for the winter months. I came in at the last minute for a truck, and the staff bent over backwards to get me one. A big thanks to them.

The actual move in experience was terrible. We had booked and paid in advance and arrived with our movers and they had to wait about 1 full hour while the reception re entered everything into the system, which was so slow, and cost us over $150 in moving costs due to the length of time it took to receive the keys. We were not pleased, but the unit itself and facility are excellent.

First of all, I rent the truck online, the reservation said from midnight to 8am. When I called the center, the couldn't find my reservation with the number but found it with my cellphone. They couldn't change it since there were no more truck available at Cremazie location. But on your website, I was able to reserve a truck at Cremazie. Received an email confirmation with the address of Cremazie but the call center said that there was no more truck there and it switched to DDO. But I didn't get any confirmation of this change. I rebooked it for pick up in Lachine for 8hrs. The day of pick up , I arrive and they tell me I only have the truck for an hr, manager was called and he basically said too bad, you only have it for an hr and nothing he could do. Thank god, we had the email confirmation to prove that it was booked for 8 hrs. There is definitely a flaw with you online booking as it doesn't reflect with the stock of each location. It is ridiculous and I will not refer anyone to uhaul. Too many mistakes and not worth it.

I dropped off the truck in 24 hours....but paid $50 for 2 days of insurance while the truck was on your lot, in your possession. You refused to let me drop off the truck in the location I requested. You texted me after I rented the truck, forcing me to drop it off in another town. I was originally within walking distance, but has to incur $30 taxi fee to get home. I specifically informed your staff that I live with 2 high risk people for covid and that I specifically requested my drop off location to avoid putting my family at risk. I suggested having your staff drive the truck from your one location to the other, as it wasn't my responsibility. I was refused and forced to bring it elsewhere. My experience with you was horrible. I currently have a case open with your company, but haven't received a call back from the manager. Case 2975224 . I rented your truck for $750....I expect a lot better service for that....I paid two days of insurance when your truck wasn't even in my possession, $50.....I incurred a $30 charge for a ride home because you wouldn't allow me to drop it off at the location I originally requested....and my family was put at medical risk to correct your error....and there was well over 100kms unused.. And to not receive a call back from a manager within my 3 day rental period is unacceptable......are they waiting for my rental period to pass , so they can blow me off ??? 416-846-5413, Marc.

I first made a reservation at another location and when they did not have my vehicle I was referred to this location. I waited 45 minutes to get to the counter. The location refuse to provide the $50 reservation guarantee and provided me a 4 hour reservation instead of the 24 hour i had originally requested. When i tried getting more time they then refused to rent to me all together stating that i was at risk for not bringing the vehicle back on time. I had to beg to get the truck so that I could move my family. In the end the rental cost $75 more than my original booking due to the km of the location i was sent to and my rental was 4 hours instead of 24. The experience with Uhaul was appalling, frustration, and insensitive. i will never trust their service again.

Horrible experience. It took 2 hours to pick up the truck. There was a huge line and the clerks were extremely slow. At some point an angry lady came in and yelled at people in the line (all of whom were already exaspersted) to respect social distancing rules, even though everyone was at least 2 meters apart. She told us to wait outside and was very rude and unhelpful. Mobile pick up did not work. Had to wait even more for the return (again hugh line) ,although the person eho processed the return seemed to make an effort to speed things up. Overall I got things done but the experience was extremely painful and overly long. It's as if Uhaul's customers' time wasn't valuable at all. What should have been a 90 minute job took us our whole Sunday afternoon. Very disappointed A rebate would be welcome

On the weekends, it would make sense to have more than two staff members available to serve your customers at a larger location. I waited in line for one hour (6 people ahead of me) to pick up my reservation, then had to try three trailers before one would work with our lights. This process should be more efficient, particularly on the final Sunday of a month. Customer service was okay, and you tell the staff are doing the best they can but it was absurd and they need more support.

Please do not assume that everyone who rents your truck from U-Haul knows what to do, such as where to find the rented truck, what to do with the equipment in the truck, how to return, etc.

First the locker rented was suppose to be 10X5, it was in reality 9.75 x 4.5, losing 10% of what I should have. Also, the process to rent and close your products is way too long and complicated, and the employes working there are not the best ones.

So I rented the equipment online. I was supposed to be able to pick up the truck with the app but it wasn't working I took my picture so many times but it was doing nothing so I had to go inside the clerk. It was a good thing they were still open for a couple of minutes. They couldnt find the keys first. Than I left with the truck and it wasn't working properly. I first told myself is was because it needed to warm up, but that wasn't the problem after all. So I went to my first location to pick up a few things and went back home. On my way back the truck was acting weird, I had to give a lot of gas to be abble to drive faster that 15 miles/h. It was staling and making a weird noise. I tried to drive faster but it wasn't able to drive more that 30 miles/h. So I park and call the roadside assistance. After a couple hour of calls with the assistance they found a solution. Around midnight they towed the truck back to a Uhaul location center were an other 24h truck was available. The guy from the towing truck help me move the stock from one truck to the other. I had to move them even if my back is hurt because I couldnt find anybody to help me at 1am. I finaly got back home at 2h30am. I had to leave at 6 am to pick up the rest of the stock to be at 8am to the pre-general of the show we are filming. When I got back to the Uhaul location center at 8h45 pm. The center was closed and the app wasn't letting me upload the pictures again. So I left the keys in the same box I pick them up during the night and took pictures of the truck. I called the roadside assistance and waited for more than 15 mins, I was exausted and just felt asleep. So I had to go back the next day to close my contract. I didnt received any compensation for all those disruptions.

Je n’ai reçu les instructions qu’en anglais J’aurais aimé recevoir le code de désarmement de l’alarme par sms également, pas juste par email Les instructions par rapport au code à composer n’étaient pas claires (confusion quant à quoi sert le code quand les portes de la bâtisse s’ouvrent sans code / les instructions à côté de la porte semblent s’appliquer aux client SecureMax seulement). Pour d’autres personnes aussi ce n’est pas clair, car l’alarme s’est déclenchée plusieurs fois sur place, ce qui est quand même pas mal désagréable!

Everything on the Montreal side was great. Call centre people were all great. And the local shipper - Diamond Quality - was superb. But you missed the guaranteed delivery date by a whole week. And you seemed to maintain that by using a third party shipper between Montreal and New, you did not have any accountability or requirement to explain to your customer where the box was, why it was being delayed, and what was a reasonable delivery expectation. First of all, just being able to get in contact with someone at UHaul was a struggle the week before I had my reservation. They had switched the location on me without telling me. I saw the switch online and had to call and confirm the reasoning. The representatives at the pick up location did was not friendly and wasn't able to answer a question about the drop off which I thought was odd. He also only gave us a truck with a tank of gas of less than 1/4 and I had ordered a truck for a long distance move which I thought was insane. The overall experience just seemed to have alot more hiccups than I was expecting.

The strap on the appliance dolly was frayed and torn at the place where it is is secured by the locking handle. I was forced to take it because the only other appliance dolly available at no strap on it at all. I had to move a heavy upright freezer and we did not have confidence in the equipment. I should not have to pay the $10 + tx fee for this rental. That being said, all the staff I dealt with were excellent, very polite, non-stressed, especially the guy who processed my return at about 5:30. He was very cheerful even though he was very busy processing numerous equipment returns.

But I paid too much because this location wasn't good for me, I initially made a reservation in the east of Montreal. Because of road block and traffic jam I put too much mileage. Besides there's no gas station around the Uhaul. Not a very good customer experience!

The person who helped me get the storage unit account setup was quick and efficient and very friendly. I got a very good impression of U-Haul as a company because of this individual's good attitude. This is very refreshing compared to the last storage facility I used (not U-haul) where the staff seemed like they did not care at all and would prefer if people would just leave them alone. So I hope the guy that served me is appreciated and well paid!

We had our belongings in this storage for almost 2 years. All went well until our departure from the unit. When clearing our belongings, unfortunately we discovered some items that were eaten/ruined by mice. Our couch had holes in it from mice and was covered in droppings (it was covered by plastic but they chewed through that as well). The U-Haul staff reassured us right away that we would get reimbursed for this. However, to this day, we have received no response or follow-up on our claim for reimbursement. We will likely have to continue pressing the issue in order to get any resolution, which is very disappointing. We paid over $5K in our time of having our belongings in storage - the least they could do is make sure we receive appropriate compensation for ruining important furniture.

Hi , overall was okay. I tried to change the per authorization date. When I called , the agent said to go ask the store. I drive to the store they say we cannot it’s impossible. With tax it was suppose to be 120$. Because of the faulty pre auth I paid 135$-150$ mostly. In 2020, I am so baffled that we are not able to change a date : /. But to me it was just a scam to charge more. And that’s why my rating is much lower. Hopefully this feedback will help you improve your services and maybe not benefit from people.

The representative who we dealt with was very rude, has no idea of what customer service really means. She souldnt be in contact with customers. I told her that I spoke with another person about the one month promotion and she said (in front of other clients waiting in line): "il est nouveau, il sait rien". Really not professional to say that even if I was the only client there. She really screwed up my experience with Uhaul and because of her I would tell my friends to avoid HER if ever they go to the Lachine facility.

Hello, My main concern with the lack of answers for phone calls from Lachine. They have NEVER picked up the phone, it always went back to central. PLUS, central does not give accurate information. And / or the information does not get relayed to Lachine. I had lost the keys to the storage lock, I called and called to speak to Lachine, once again, they didn't pick up. Central lady said that each location was equipped with the tools to break the lock - which turns out (as I had a team of 3 movers on the clock, just waiting) they did not, and mentioned it was against UHaul policy. I had to call for an emergency service, which cost me $275, for a locksmith to come and break the lock. I am extremely disappointed with UHaul in this regard.

The only reason i don't give a 5 stars is because the waiting time to get service is really, really aweful. I waited 45-50 mins in line just to get service even though i and a reservation. I understand doing contracts with people takes time but being understaff in a month like this, i mean it is moving festival now. All i wanted to do is get my moving done. The wait got me so angry inside that all the good deeds a friendly staff was not even important at that point.

I had rented a storage in Montreal Centre Ville at first, I had made the reservation on site. Then I made a change of date by callin U-Haul. When I went to rent the storage, they said the modification can't be made by phone (?????) and that there was no storage unit that I had reserved, when I had done it on site at first !!! The person didn't try to help me... I had to go to Lachine to find a storage unit. At Lachine, the woman that took my order was very bad at being polite and being professional. SHe didn't help me either and was very mean with my order placing... My experience with U-Haul is very bad. I hope not to use your storage units in the future.

Hi there, let me explain my one star review. I have had booked, for 1 April, a storage in an other facility (Cite 2000 Montreal) and no one called me to tell me to come and take possession of the storage unit. I left my credit card info, my phone number and my adress, as requested. With all these infos, I understood that someone From u-haul would call me as soon as they have an available unit. But it appears no one called. When I presented myself to the office, I faced a young man that did not care at all about my case and just repeated like a parrot : we do not have unit left sir, it works like this in u haul. Without even trying to understand my situation, not listening and not proposing any solution. He clearly did not care and is not suit for working in customer service. I have noted down his full name and send a report to the complaint section. I’ll let know everywhere how I was treated at the office.

The one big negative to our experience was the difficulty getting information on how to cancel our contract. I called customer service and was told I had to go to the warehouse. Drove 20 minutes to the warehouse and was told take a picture and come back when the locker is empty. Drove home another 20 minutes. Went back after the locker was empty (20 minute drive) to learn that the account had been closed by one of the employees. In all, 1 hour and 20 minutes of unnecessary driving. Clear, concise information about the process would have made this experience excellent.

I arranged pick up of my Uboxes on Jul 21 but when I arrived with my movers my boxes were nowhere to be found and we were told by staff "not my department" - no follow up by the manager. Unacceptable.

The wait times on the phones are extremely excessive. The staff are excellent but the minimal staff on site can not be outside, in the storage facility, face to face and the phone simultaneously.
