I will not be using U Haul Budget will be my personl choice. The 20 $surcharge on a Sunday after 9:00 P.M. when i returned the truck at 9:30 P.M. is not justified. The location is closed at 5:00 P.M. and the customer is required to do the administrative work for U Haul . I paid too much for the 5 Hour rental. Not satisfied at all. The truck was in bad shape, the steering was very loose and the truck had 70 000 Miles, i suspect poor maintenance. You can contact me if you want at my e-mail address for more feedback. Not satisfied and will not recommend U Haul to many of my friends. I called customer service for these specific problems and was told to wait for 10 to 15 Minutes and someone will answer me, waited for more than 20 Minutes no one replyed. Hanged up....!ANDREW S.

- waited in line over 2 hours to pick up reserved truck - the equipment we reserved was no longer by the time we got to the counter, so we had to rent smaller alternatives - once we finally got our key, we had to get the truck from somewhere deep in the truck parking. Not a problem per se, except the fact that it was surrounded by other trucks and could not be taken out - rented equipment was not in the truck as indicated, so we had to drive back to get itMartin V.
Service was terrible! I made a reservation almost one month in advance and when I arrived there they didn't have all the items that I had requested available. I was told to go to a different uhaul and when I got there they didn't have the item as well. I lost a lot of time going to a different store and was not able to keep the truck for longer. It was a terrible experience, wouldn't recommend. It was very frustrating and disappointing, I wasn't offered anything to make up for all that trouble of not having an appliance dolly or having to go to another store.MICHAEL S.

This company (uHaul in general) is an absolute mess. I called 3 weeks prior to my 15-foot rental to change my pickup day from saturday at 10am to sunday at 10am... the customer service representative informed me all is well and that she made the necessary changes. I called back a week later because I had yet to receive a confirmation email of the changes. The new customer service girl told me she saw my pickup day as Saturday still, but quickly made the changes and proceeded to send me a confirmation text to confirm after I hung up with her. Here's the good part; 1 day, I repeat the DAY BEFORE my pickup on sunday, I get a text from Uhaul saying that there are no longer any 15-foot trucks available at the location I set, but that they'd found me one at a different location and at 4:30pm instead of 10am like I had reserved, THREE WEEKS AGO. So basically the company just decided to move my rental from Sunday at 10am to Sunday at 4:30pm. And yes, to a completely different Haul location... How did they think that taking that initiative to reschedule my whole booking without consulting me was a good idea? I lived in a condo where condo rules state you can't move after 5pm on the weekends... Needless to say, this was the most hectic few days dealing with what seems to be a pretty straightforward process. All in all, I would not recommend renting from uHaul as it seems their customer service is based out of Arizona and they don't give two shits about you or the problems you're having with their clerical errors. Worst experience dealing with a major company in my life. Thank God for Marge who finally solved my issue, god bless that woman.MATTHEW E.

The whole experience was very stressfull. We had reserved extra material for our move, that I had called to confirmed the day before (waited on the line more than 40 min. was redirected, waited again...), the material was not available the morning that I pick-up the truck. Had to rush to call someother retnal to find the equipement required for our move. The complete process is a total mess, unfriendly and far from customer service oriented. It was our first experience with U-Haul and most certainly our last. We hade to pick-up the truck in Montreal instead of from 5 minutes away from our home, I was told the milleage would be adjusted, it was not. I got a bill for extra mileage which I refused. My daughter in law used your service two weeks before. She had to pick-up the truck two hours later than scheduled, and at 1h30 away from where she was supposed to, and the had twelve more hours to drive to get back to where they were moving. From our experiences, it is hard to believe you are still in business. Sorry to say that I could NEVER recommend U-Haul for a smooth move.Marie-JosÃ©e D.

We were given the wrong dolly and had to go back to replace it. Also, the truck was in quite poor condition. Lots of rattling noises and not a smooth ride at all. My older son had to ride in the passenger seat and there was no seatbelt or airbag. This was very surprising and unsafe, not to mention, unprofessional. The rate at which the truck burned gasoline was ridiculous and cost us hundreds of dollars. This could possibly indicate a problem. The truck may need to be taken off the road. The time of pickup was changed to 6 hours later than we had booked. Some of our friends were not able to help us due to this error. Another thing was, we had to pay an extra $50 at the checkout even though I had paid the total online when I booked. Please make things safer and more efficient for your customers as we did appreciate the online booking and options available.Leonard Andrew V.

De plus, l'employÃ© semblait plus intÃ©ressÃ© Ã discuter avec son collÃ¨gue de son heure de lunch. Ce mÃªme employÃ© m'a avisÃ© que je devait faire l'inspection du vÃ©hicule, du kilomÃ©trage et du niveau d'essence et de simplement prendre une photo si cela ne concordait pas avec l'info sur le contrat. Le niveau d'essence Ã©tait en dessous de la moitiÃ©. Heureusement, l'employÃ© au retour a Ã©tÃ© comprÃ©hensif. C'est celui-ci qui m'a avisÃ© d'un courriel que j'aurais du recevoir pour m'assister lors de l'inspection. Courriel que je n'ai jamais reÃ§u! Quand on cherche une location Ã Lachine, les choix son trÃ¨s limitÃ©. Improve the check in process significantly. Lots of wasted effort from the limited staff present. The return process however is quite efficient. I parked in the clearly marked spot to leave the vehicle. Nobody came. A few employees exited the building and just walked past me to their cars to go home. I eventually realized the posted hours of operation were incorrect and that I should just do the self checkout.TIMOTHY ZACHARY H.
You have changed the contract less than 24 hours before the location . You changed my possibility to drop the truck to an other location adding me over than 3 hours of time of travel . You also change the initial location. If you cannot give a service , don't offer it ... with this situation a competitor , for me , would have a better offer ... at less than 24 hours before the location , every one is stuck with a bad deal ... and it is very frustrating.ALEXANDRE R.
