Somehow the mileage I was charged for was over 100 miles from the actual mileage used, and I was charged for one more day than I actually had it. The truck itself sounded like it wanted to shut down when idling and the headlights were so dim you could barely see at night. Thank goodness I took pictures when dropping it off. I sent the picture of the mileage to the main office and they are sending a refund but none of that should have been necessary. The staff was very nice but how nice can I really say they were when someone enters info that basically costs you more than $400 more than you should have been charged?

First of all, UHAUL told us we could pick the truck and car carrier up at Pine Mountain. I don't know what kind of crap you think your peddling but the place at Pine Mountain is a convenience store.. That guy knows how to sell a soda. Not how to drive a truck or work a car carrier. . I know this because I stopped in a few days before the rental.. Then you jerked us around to Lagrange then moved our pick up time up an hour to Columbus Ga. Pine Mountain is 10 minutes. Columbus is 40. We rented a 26 foot truck and a car carrier.. The contract was suppose to be for the car carrier to be attached to an F150. UHAUL clerks told me it was not. I asked if they could show me how to separate the two. I was told by UHAUL clerks that they couldn't do it. Finally I complained enough that the UHAUL clerk had to come from behind the counter and show me. He gave me the 2 minute tutorial. He went so fast that I had to go get him back 2 more times. The UHAUL employee did not show me how to lower the wheel well so that access to the front two doors could be made. This became a problem after we drove the car onto the car carrier. The contracted moving company couldn't completely pack the truck. When I asked why I was told because there were no moving blankets. I had paid for 36. The UHAUL clerk that I stood in front of when I got the truck looked at the invoice and said 36 blankets. and a hand truck. Nothing of which was in the truck Since the contracted moving firm showed up late we didn't find out that there weren't any blankets till almost 4:00 My wife had to rush to a UHAUL to get the blankets. The woman was kind enough to gives us a $50 credit. wow that didn't begin to cover it. Well that mistake meant that the truck had to be unloaded and reloaded along with the additional furniture that didn't make it on the truck the first time. The next day, My friend who was a furniture mover and another friend unloaded and reloaded beginning at 9:00am Adding in the problem with the car carrier and we were finished at 7:00 We then had to get other things together and drive 6 hours to South Carolina. We got there so late we had to stay in a hotel which cost us $200. This is because .10th street UHAUL didn't put blankets into the truck.

I spoke to someone at least 3 times confirming the equipment I needed to move and not until I arrived the day to pick up the equipment I was told half of what I needed was unavailable. I requested furniture and appliance dollies, they waited until I arrived the day of my move to say none were available. Unacceptable and unprofessional. Will not recommend uhaul to anyone I work with in the Army.

one of the tire was low and i didn't wont to take it to some one and i know they do that at the uhaul!

the trucks need to well marked where u can c the numbers when picking up or at the least give better instructions on where to find the numbers to match what I had. Then the seat was ripped. Then the side mirrors were not at all able to b moved to a position where I was able to see better. The online experience wasn't the best choice for me.

When I got there to turn in the unit that I rented for one day but was charged for four days I was told to go put it where I got it from I told her that I was from Bedford Pennsylvania I didn't know where the hell it went down on me and my brother had to go over there and take it off and just leave it on the parking lot while three employees roll there moving other s*** around

Had to drive 30 minutes out of my way to pick up truck and when I got there your system was down. I was paying two men $20 an hour each to load the truck. I returned home to WAIT on your system to come up. Finally got a call that system was up. Drove 30 minutes back to finally get truck. You would think that a multi million dollar company would have some sort of back up system!!!!

I rented the unit but could not get access to it because the keycard reader was broken. I was told to come back later and ask office staff to let me into the card-gated hallway to access the unit. I was not told the unit number. Office staff were obviously overworked and too busy for pleasantries. These issues are not the fault of the staff, but the fault of Uhaul. Uhaul needs to provide their staff with adequate resources to do their jobs effectively. Based on this experience I will not use Uhaul for future needs, as their pricing does not reflect their ability to deliver on a consistent and reliable product.

When booking the space online from out of state, I selected the size I need and a unit that was described as “drive up exterior”. When we arrived, that is not what we got. Instead we had a unit that was inside a storage building, at the end of a long & narrow hall, with a pole in the middle of the unit. We refused the unit for these reasons. The associate took us back inside and offered us a larger unit, which we accepted. Although the unit was still inside, the hall was wider and the unit was closer to the entrance. When finishing up the rental agreement at the counter, I was asked if I needed to buy a lock; I said no, I had one. It was not pointed out that a specific type of lock was required. A couple weeks later when we return to get a few things out of storage, there’s a second lock on our unit with a tag for non-payment. We go to the office because a payment hasn’t even been due yet. We were advised that it was because we weren’t using the right type of lock, and that housekeeping would continue to put the additional lock on, and we would have to come during office hours to have them unlock it. We weren’t happy about this, but said fine. The next time we came, the additional lock is on there and we are now informed that a charge for the lock has been added to our account. I will take ownership that the agreement requires this type of lock, so I paid the fee for the lock without complaint. However, the handling of this is very poor. Rather than lock a paying customer out of their unit, you should at LEAST call to inform them at the first notice. Also, this should truly be explained up front, as I would not have known the difference in lock styles in just reading the agreement. To wrap it all up, we cleared out our unit on 06/13/20, and followed the online instructions for move out on 06/14/20. The move out was not processed until 06/30/20, when I called because I received notice that payment would be due soon. Overall, we only had the unit for 3 months and it was a bad experience from start to finish with customer service. The unit was clean, secure, and well-lit, but the parking and access to the lot is also not ideal; many times we were stuck waiting for others to move a truck or trailer they were renting/dropping off and causing congestion in the lot.
