I checked out of my unit before the renewal date and I am still getting bills with a penalty. I finally reached someone to resolve but still no confirmation. Otherwise, still my first choice for storage and rentals.

All the Associates here were great! Several of their fleet had the catalytic converters stolen the night before. I went early trying to get my van before my reservation time and saw them deal with ridiculous customers upset about them not having trucks. They handled it with poise. And later when I came back, I saw them handle another sheisty customer trying to get over with poise. My only issue was the van. Shocks were terrible and steering extremely loose.

The after hours check-in process needs improvement as we could not effectively get online to officially turn the truck in and avoid the 20 $fee. There should be an alternative (such as a paper form) to accompany the key in the drop box. Customers that have turned their vehicles in on time (as according to the contractual agreement), should not be subject to late fees -- especially because of shoddy website/app development. There were two other customers returning vehicles at the same time, who also could not check their vehicles back in.

There was NO gas in the truck when I took it from the lot! I stopped at VanDyke and 8 MileRd and put 40,00 $ for gas in the tank !

Poor communication - my truck wasn't returned on time and no one told me. I drove 40 min to go get a truck that wasn't there and didn't know that until I arrived. Then the regional office found me a truck right near my house - I could have saved a total of 2+ hours by knowing this in advance. However, the Detroit office on Livernois was great - and the staff at the Farmington location was very helpful when I arrived.

More HELP on hand. Only one person was helping customers for the longest and she was new. The wait was too long. You had to have patience and I must admit the conversation was nice.

Uhaul location stated it was no problem to extend contract if needed. When we needed to do that the next day, we were told we could not do that as someone was waiting on the truck and if we didn't return the vehicle within the hour, they would report the truck stolen!! We were literally on our way to drop off our first load with their largest truck packed to the brim and the option they gave us was to bring it back and get a smaller truck. After telling them that this made no sense, finally a manager stated we needed to get it to them ASAP. Paying for an extra day was no problem but they were not answering the phone. I then went on chat and was told I needed to pay for the extra day and they would notify the location that I was coming to pay. Once I got to the location, of course they had not clue what was going. Why tell customers it is perfectly fine to extend rentals when it really is not!!!

I turned the van in at 1:45 pm one of your employees told me just to leave it and because it was on my card all they had to do was email me the receipt I am still waiting on the receipt I took it out at 1060 miles and brought it back at 1107 miles I would like to know my final cost please thank you

They told me they didn't have any motorcycle trailers then when I got to the area that the trailers are in they had 3. I tried to exchange it for what I originally asked for and he refused and said it's to late. I strongly feel like he was forcing a 10 $upgrade that I didn't want because the trailer he stuck me with didn't have a spot for my wheel and the other 3 did. I made a comment that if my motorcycle don't fit properly and falls I'm going to use the insurance and he blew it way out of context and almost didn't give me the trailer and acted like I was going to mess up the trailer on purpose or something. I have a clean driving record and I intend to keep it that way but if my bike falls from the front wheel turning during a bump or something yes I would have definitely expected the insurance to cover my bike due to the simple fact that he refused to give me a trailer that was designed for a motorcycle when he knew I was putting a motorcycle on it. Also the trailer he gave me had grass clippings, vines and trash in it, the picture was sent before I left. I'm very disappointed with this location on livernoise.

Despite overwhelming technical difficulties throughout the weekend, all staff members were consistently patient and accommodating to customers and managed tough interactions with grace, providing satisfactory service even to rude people. It's great to have good customer service and even better to see that it is embedded in company culture.

I was charged for 3 days when I had the cargo van for 1 day. I have called corporate to no avail I am left on hold for an hour plus with no one answering to resolve my complaint. Also the manager of this location was not helpful when I asked about one of their pickup trucks that was in need of repair.

I don't know if it was this location but the person I spoke to on the phone was incredibly helpful and flexible with me. 2 minor areas for improvement: -I wasn't shown to my vehicle but was told "the only 15' truck on the lot'. I didn't know what I was looking for because there were quite a few trucks that looked similar so I flagged a very helpful employee down who showed me to my vehicle -I would've liked to picked up the uhaul with >3/8 tanks of gas because as I was driving I got the low-fuel warning

I had a issue with the after hour check in. The site wouldn't allow me log in nor reset my password. I called the 800 number and still no results. Then i wake up to a 20 $fee that i couldn't avoid. I actually turned the truck in more than 12 hours early.

At 7:00am when the store opened the worker reeked of marijuana. Horrible smell on his clothes and he mumbled when asking questions. Not a good representative for Uhaul.

It took me a while to check out; not because it was crowded, but because the clerk was not waiting on only me. She seemed to be distracted doing many other things. The last straw was, we went come out to the truck, it was dirty, she was supposed to get keys to another truck, she never came back. I had to walk in the store and another gentlemen assisted me. I was there for nearly 35 minutes.

I rented a pick up for a particular pick up of a trampoline. I drove 4 blocks. The trick was too small. I returned it immediately and was in the process of reserving a 20 foot truck. I was charged for the full 24 hours, insurance and one mile. I talked with manager Jarod Haapapuro. He was rude and dismissive. I have rented here several times. I only wanted an upgrade. I thought the clerk was crediting my account and then reserving a larger truck. My experience today was frustrating. I felt they did not listen or care.

Staff went above and beyond in conflict resolution and made sure my experience was less stressful as humanly possible. Even with mix ups from corporate the 7 mile staff stepped in with accountability and not only fixed the issues but also assured me as a consumer. Quality customer care is hard to come by which is why I only deal with this particular location. The staff are welcoming and upbeat , the facility is always spotless and theres never a problem that isn't fairly Negotiated !

During peak hours, the waiting time for assistance can be extraordinarily long, and all team members may not be trained or empowered to handle all transactions. This was actually my 2nd trip. I had come in the day before to pay my storage bill and reserve an additional storage unit, waited in line for 30 minutes, only to be told I'd have to return the following day because the team member was not able to service self-storage account matters.
