I rented a trailer in the middle of the day and they would not let me take the trailer because I did not have trailer wiring. I understand that was the policy. I asked the manager 5 times what I needed to do to cancel the rental agreement. He told me that he would cancel the agreement each time I asked. He said that I would not be charged since I never left the property. The next day I received an email stating that I was charged for the rental. The Bardstown Road location in Louisville needs to get someone that knows what is going on. It seemed very disorganized. Employees were not trained well and they did not seemed to know what to do. I was in the store location for 1 hour to rent the trailer.todd H.

First off the price is a lie, my $19,95 truck rental cost me $100 for me to use a truck for 5 hours and drive a total of 20 miles. It also cost me an additional $40 in fuel. I in line waited 45 minutes just to pick up my truck, then I waited in line another 45 minutes to return my truck. Yes I spent 1 hour and 30 minutes at your store waiting because your store is grossly understaffed. The employees at the store are incompetent and do not know how to do their jobs. Part of the 45 mins I waited to pick up the truck was spent listening to one of the employees trying to ring up a roof top carrier for a customer. It literally took your employee 25 minutes to process selling a roof top carrier. He had to hop on the phone and be coached thru the transaction. This will be the last time I do business with your company. False advertising, bait and switch, and incompetent employees that's 3 strikes for me.Bruce H.

Started off, I made my reservation for 130am so I could pick up the truck when I got off. After arriving at the location the app told me I had to come back at 7am. Came back and the gentleman, who's name was Jesus, later was told he was the general manager. Explained what happened to him, he told me to wait 5 minutes and he would be back with my truck. 15 minutes later he pulled out a truck that had alot of damage to it. Which I took pictures. The paperwork said 1/2 a tank of fuel but it was only on 1/4 tank. He brought out the appliance dolly furniture dolly and furniture blankets. Said they didn't have any, I asked for it to be taken off the bill and was told we would see. The truck was the roughest ride I have ever had I one of your trucks. Every time I started the truck it acted like it didn't want to start. The check engine light was on all day. The ramp didn't want to go back into its spot. You literally had to slam it several times to get tit to work. I returned the truck alittle after midnight, about 17 hours after getting the truck, and the on line return process wouldn't accept my picture. After getting ahold of the 24 hr customer service, we realized that iwas being charged for 2 days of charges for the appliance dolly, furniture dolly, furniture protesters and the utility dolly that I didn't even get. The lady on the phone told me to drop the guys in the slot and I could leave. But she couldn't adjust the the charges. I am not happy. Jesus said he was giving me my $50 deposit back for the inconvenience of the reservation not being honored to pick up the truck at 130am which I had a reservation for. I want to know what UHaul is going to do for all this inconvenience. And the overcharge for the dolly rentalJon E.

Everything..I have been renting here for many years and once a month for the past 6mos..today was appalling...the staff were unprofessional..lazy and complaining about everything..they handed me my contract and when I went outvside to pick up my vehicle it wasn't there..I spoke with guy in the yard and he also didn't have a clue..I went back in the lobby and was told rudely that I need to go beyond the fence line and get it myself..I've never done this, and there were atheist 5 staff members on duty..also while attempting to complete inspection of vehicle on my phone the app froze up numerous times and said my time ran out and I needed to contact reservations staff..u walked back in and couldn't get any assistance..thus all took a hour if my rental time..vehicle was filthy inside and out and seats were covered with pet hairRichard S.
I've had crappy experiences here before but this wasn't really bad. Quick easy painless. Although asking for tanks to be filled up to 1/4 tank is a scam. We will give you a 39 dollar fuel credit to do it. 57 gallons divide by 4 is 14 and some change. Then let's not forget gas that day was 4.19. We will drop it down to 4 for easy math. 14x4=$56. Which means if I fill it up to a quarter of a tank I'm in the hole 17 dollars. But if it was the old way where you fill it up and bring it back then it's only the gas you use which is bs. Easy to get a truck annoying about the crap I just said.Stephen G.

The only problem we had and it wasn't with this place, was finding a Uhaul storage place. We were told we would have 1 free month free for renting the truck for 6 days plus, but when we arrived no one was at the office to store our belongings. In fact no one answered the phone the day before or the day we wanted to store our belongings there. I'm glad you had the equipment I needed on short notice but the wait took forever because of employees randomly disappearing and getting the order of the person ahead of me wrong. There was no warning that I would need to give contact info for a secondary person in case of issues or how many miles I planned on thing until I was asked for it at the counter. A heads up from the online order system on things that will be needed would be helpful. The worker ringing me up took a personal call while filling in my reservation which involves gathering my sensitive information. I will say the worker showed me a little about how to use the truck features but most of my knowledge came from watching the Uhaul YouTube video on how to use the appliance dolly correctly.Taryn D.
I normally don't write reviews. My issue today was with the vehicle, not the staff or location. I've rented vehicles from Uhaul for 30 plus years. I've rented from this location many times. I have never had a vehicle given to me in such terrible condition. It was filthy, had damage all over it, inside and out. Unfortunately for me, I had to have a truck today. First this location was not the location I selected, it was farther away. The individual that was checking me out on the system didn't seem knowledgeable able the system which caused a delay. Once I got the equipment home, I found that pads and a dolly was not provided. They asked me to return to pickup the equipment they should have provided from the get go, but I already had the help waiting so I did not. The uhaul truck was in good condition. However, I had difficulties checking the truck out. Here is why: I went inside to grab the key for the truck that I placed an order for the weekend before. The employee at the counter was very rude. I told him I was picking up the key and he was reluctant to give it to me because he wanted to use the truck for something else. He got mad at me for checking the truck out and even more mad when I told him for how long. I don't see why I was involved in the whole thing. It shouldn't have been my fault. I checked the truck out the weekend before so he should have seen it on the schedule. However he made a big deal about how much I was inconveniencing him. I requested a 9' cargo van and was given a smaller, older van based on the image online. The worker at the UPS store was very short and rude in assisting me checking in to get the van, and had no idea where on the property the van was. Once it was located and brought up, there was no furniture dolly (which was already paid for) and I was told there was nothing he could do and I was out of luck. So, not only did I get an older, smaller van than expected, I had no way of moving the furniture I needed and expected to be able to move with the dolly I ordered. The gentleman that checked me out and got me the vehicle was exceptional and was very helpful despite them not having a vehicle that I had reserved since February. However, another person, who appeared to be the front desk supervisor (a shorter gentle man with short hair and glasses) was rather rude to the other employees and had a very disappointing attitude. Every time I went in to make a payment on my storage unit, I waited at least 30 minutes to an hour every time. I waited so long once that the person behind the counter promised he would credit my account $25. But then he had "computer issues" and said that he would credit my card the next day. That credit never came. I mentioned it to someone the next month, and they said they would take care of it, but they didn't. I gave up trying to get it back.
