victor E.Our unit was robbed during the hours where you were OPEN WITH NO SECURITY. The manager literally did nothing and seemed annoyed that we were upset that we didn't want to ignor it. We had to take three days off of work waiting for cops because the manager refused to call us when they got there even though we live 10 mins away. The man who robbed our unit used a very loud angle grinder in the facility and no one noticed. Not secure. He also robbed other units and when I asked the manager if she was going to contact the unit she said no it wasn't her problem which makes this tenants very unlikely to recover their stolen items the longer it hasn't been reported. I would never recommend this place in fact I've been actively telling people to not rent in this unit because it's unsafe and management is useless

And after they figured out the other one that can assign to me, it is already 6:30, and they close at 7. They said I can only move in tomorrow which was really annoying since I need to move my stuff in on that day. It was a really awful experience.

Ankoor M.My contract changed 3 times. What was supposed to be an 8 am early self pickup in Sunnyvale turned into a 40 mile detour and 4 hour delay to get keys from a U-Haul depot in san fransisco. I interacted with 7 employees and was constantly redirected to another location and had to explain everything from scratch with another person to get keys to a 10' box truck. After all of this I was essentially penalized financially by paying extra mile fees for circumstances that were out of my control. I received multiple confirmations that my truck pickup was ready but the app crashed and redirected me to broken links for any express check in steps. I had to wait in 2 separate 30-45 minute queues in two depots to talk to an employee and figure out my pickup situation. It made my move very frustrating and stressful. I am very upset and feel I have been penalized unfairly with all of the extra miles, fees, and time to get keys and acquire a truck.

Griffin D.Had a very bad experience with the Mobile app. Was treated very rudely by a young lady who's name I won't mention because I'm over it. I used uhaul the day prior and decided to give the app a try since the push was so that you wouldn't have to wait in line. This brat in a very patronizing voice told me I'd have to wait in the back of the line. I had very limited help and planned for the checkout experience to be fast. It ended up taking an hour to resolve. In my days working for virgin America, we knew that customers who used the app to check in did so because it would be faster. This agent was essentially punishing me for using the app which made for a bad experience. However, I had two great experiences after. First, I was attended to pretty quickly after reaching out on social media. Sue was her name. However, I was floored by the above and beyond treatment I got from a guy named Freddie outside. He didn't know who I was or how I was having a bad experience. This guy told me I needed to go in to get my van key, but then said he'd get it for me. He literally ran in to get it for me. He didn't have to. I would have gotten it myself. This guy just has that customer service gene. That Adele girl was probably having a bad day but Freddie really made up for it.

JOHN F. | Premières impressionsWhen I first applied for the storage locker I was not pleased that I had to climb stairs to move my items in. It made the process very difficult and tiresome to carry boxes up stairs. I also believe that my storage fee was increased several times. My last comment is the large amount of Day Workers congregated at the front of the facility. They stand in sqaular all day and wave at customers as they drive in and out. There are also plenty of unhoused people roaming at the gate. The overall feeling of the environment was dismal and downtrodden. The inside of the storage facility was clean, however the outside environment made me anxious when I was on the property. I made it a point to never go to my locker after hours because I was intimidated by the circumstances of the vagrants at the gate.

Half of them were not wearing masks and when I asked if they had scissors behind the desk to help cut open the lock I just bought, your employee proceeded to try and open it with her teeth. They did not help me set up my scan card, just told me to punch in the date which did not work and caused the alarm to ring 2 different times. Everyone there acts like they don't want to be bothered or be at work. Plenty of people that would be over the moon to have a job. Very unprofessional. The other reason I proceeded with payment was because your location is convienent.

I had many heavy boxes and needed a dolly to move most of it. The service representative warned me, which was good. But then I had to get another unit that was $50 more a month. The price was still way better than what I had, but it would be good to describe the situation on line so we know what we're getting into. Otherwise, I was very impressed on all levels.

This made it incredibly challenging to get our items off the truck and into the unit. Not to mention, the truck we rented did not have the furniture pads we asked for - and paid for. My unit had a huge pole cutting through the middle of it which decreased the amount of available space for my belongings. Feels really unacceptable and really wish I was given some sort of discount.

Returned a trailer on 9/23/2021 That I was told by the manager I was Responsible for Mount that was Picked out by Jonathan dubon their counter person and Told not once but Twice! it was the Correct. Gave the Ball and Mount to the Trailer technician and he Installed on my 2016 Chevrolet 1500 had to Pull Over at Interstate 10 and Bob Hope Dr. Drove to the Chevron Station the Ball Came loose from Vibrations Trailer technician NEVER INSTALLED COTTER Pin! Was able to get to u-haul at 68075 Ramon rd Cathedral city cal 92234 . Return Trailer on 9/23/21 When I went to Explain what had happened and Told Repeatedly from the female counter person that I Bought Mount/Ball They Sold Me and Told me That it was the Right One Twice! Also their trailer technician I'll bet was Never been Trained properly But I was told this was my Responsibility! I'm sure their will Be no Fallow through! No I Guarantee u haul corporation won't or give Feedback on how this matter was Handled! Check Yelp sometime or Better go pay a visit!

She made it so easy to check in and get my storage area. She gave us a tour and was very pleasant always had a smile on her face and showed us all we needed to know with the cards in the elevator etc. I couldn't be more pleased. Being 64 years old and moving to another state was a lot on my shoulders. But your U-Haul facility and your worker Wendy made it a much more pleasant experience. Your staff are excellent too, in particular the Storage Manager at Bayshore U-Haul, Debbie Zaldana, who has always been exceptionally helpful and provided supervisory assistance if needed throughout the many years I have rented my several storage units, as have friends to whom I recommended the location, none of whom ever regretted their decisions to rent units at Bayshore U-Haul! It's clear that the GM, Don has created a positive environment and sets a great example for his employees on how to conduct business. Both he and the storage Manager Debbie helped my son and I with a quick install of a trailer hitch and solutions on how to get his stuff back to Texas without costing an 'arm and a leg'. I especially loved hearing that someone from the cleaning crew offered up tools and a helping hand when it was apparent that getting the pallets of stuff from the third floor to the dock was going to be a challenge. Kudos and thanks to everyone at this UHaul!!!

On my check out day, I had to wait for a staff member who was too busy on her cellphone to help me even though she didn't have someone at her window. I won't even go into all the problems I had with your staff not processing my payments and then claiming I was late.

Roberta B. | Expérience généraleI got in at 6:45 and the staff that was working refused to allowed me to move into my unit. So as a "favor" they "allowed" me to park my open trailer with all my stuff in the hitch bay. I do not understand why you say you're open until 7. When I came the next day I was told that no one knew how to open the hitch bay and that I had to come back at 3. They also told me that they don't understand why the people on Saturday didn't let me move in then. This was extremely inconvenient. Then, even though I reserved a ground floor unit, it turned out to be a 5th floor unit with steps that had to be climbed to get my stuff in. This wasn't mentioned anywhere and was not what I reserved. So I had to upgrade to an 8x8x8 on the third floor to avoid the steps which is costing me considerably more money. It also has a column in the corner so it's not really an 8x8x8. The column is easily 1x1x8 so why am I paying for an 8x8x8? Doesn't seem fair. Lastly, zero of your male employees were masked berating a mask around your neck or mouth doesn't count. Suffice to say, I'm looking for another place to store my stuff and judging by my experience on Saturday evening, I'm guessing no one really cares so. I also need to say that while there was some effort to remedy my situation on Saturday there is no reason I couldn't have been given my card and allowed to move my stuff in. My "staff friendliness rating" was based on the Saturday crew. The Sunday crew was much more helpful and I'd give them a "yes" for this question.
