Wasted so much time dealing with workers who had no idea where car's were located, then given another vehicle that had no gas and had maintenance not done correctly, causing me to be stuck for 2 hours after engine shut off and was Told by road side assistance that it was dangerous to operate. Uhaul needs to be held accountable for the vehicles they rent as they will nickel and dime you but cant seem to properly put on a car batteryNelson M.

This location is good for me because it is convenient. I rented a van but there was a discrepancy in the fuel level between the documented level and actual level which was below empty with a warning light of low fuel level flashing. I exchanged the van for a 2nd van and the gas was also empty. Then I was falsely overcharged for overnight when I had dropped off the van after 3 hours.Nancy C.

i was given a truck with not enough gas in it. i made it one or two blocks from the U-Haul center before it broke down. I called the facility and could not get through. I had to WALK back to let someone know that the truck broke down. I was given a new truck but this was unacceptable. Make sure that there is gas before letting the customers drive off.Sterling S.

List the correct gas level! The customer should not have to take pictures or PROVE the gas level was at 1/4 instead of 3/8. However, the girl at the desk, Amiyah, was on point. She made the entire visit worth it. I had a problem returning the Truck and explained to her the out gas level was at 1/4 not 3/8. I drove the vehicle 8 miles and was told by the lot attendant checking me in I needed to put gas in the truck. There was NO WAY, 8 miles would use the out level to my return. Even though I put $10 gas in the truck, (as instructed by the lot kid) she listened patiently, understood the discrepancy and handled it effortlessly. Reserved a trailer for local rental and they didn't have the trailer. Closest trailer was in Mountain View 35 minutes away. When we arrived at this location there were people on the street flagging U-Haul customers to a stop and they wanted to unhook the U-Haul trailer from our vehicle and hook to their vehicle for a fee. We refused and drove into the U-Haul lot. We believe that U-Haul should not allow these people to do this. Heck, they could hook the trailer to their vehicle and take off with it leaving us to have to buy the trailer. U-Haul should report this to the authorities and have these people removed. It was a little unexpected to get charged for 3 days rather than 2, when I specifically tried to return the equipment on time, so I looked deeper: 1. It appeared that you're rounding down the allowed rental time, and if I picked up at 2:18pm, I should return it by 2:00pm or pay an extra day. 2. The receipt shows that equipment was returned at 2:48pm, but it wasn't the actual time when I returned the equipment. I returned it on 6/14 around 2:15pm. It was picked up by an employee who presumably registed it in the database half an hour later. (Perhaps, he knows about rounding and things that it doesn't matter anyway?) From my point of view, picking it up at 2:18pm and returning two days later 2:15pm, should be charged as 2 days - a bit unfortunate to see an extra ~$50 in the bill (rent, CDW and taxes) due to time rounding and procedures. But that's a well-deserved 2 out of 5 rating on the review for you, and a learning for me so I'll have more realistic expectations next time.Dmitry K.

The equipment was horrible it was raining both outside and inside, leakages everywhere, the gear and the breaks were so noisy like cranky metal. Then when we returned the truck at around 11pm, there was a man siphoning the gas on all trucks parked outside that's why we were concerned that we will be charged for extra gas, with the price of gas, that'll be crazy. In that location, there should be guard assigned during off hours for safety of those trucks or have some CCTV cameras all over for safety of both the customers and trucks.Noel E.

The facility is huge with lots of availability of vehicles, and supplies. The check-in process was very easy as we had a reservation. Line can get long with many people wanting to use U-Haul. Clerk was friendly and very helpful with our needs. Easy to find the vehicle. The van was clean and ready to go. All of our furniture and accessories fit the van nicely. Van drop off was smooth and was a breeze. I'll definitely come back for my next moving project in July. Thanks U-Haul for a great experience with our sons first apartment moving needs!John L.

Upon return, sign says wait in the car for someone. Literally waited like 20 minutes no one was there to check-in. I asked someone in front of me and employee mentioned was still new and to go inside. Then while in line someone asked about returning vehicle. In total, waited about 30/35 mins. Your computer was showing around 300 more miles than the actual mileage. I asked the manager to fix it, but your system wouldn't allow the manager to correct the actual mileage. I took a print out to the return location, but I was charged for the extra mileage. I had to call Uhaul and wait one hour to process for reimbursement. Now, I have to wait 3 days for a supervisor to review and approve. This is totally unprofessional and ridiculous. I am going to blast this horrible experience all over social media.fang K.

I would never recommend uhaul to anyone. Yesterday while rents the truck for my move I discovered the gas leaking after hiring movers to move all of my furniture. From there, I received another truck that was free, however, it wasted a lot of my time since I had to retinas my truck. I called today to see if someone would offer some sort of compassion or sympathy, and nothing. I received the worst customer experience of my life in this facility. Your entire staff is unhelpful and unprofessional. Half of them were not wearing masks and when I asked if they had scissors behind the desk to help cut open the lock I just bought, your employee proceeded to try and open it with her teeth. They did not help me set up my scan card, just told me to punch in the date which did not work and caused the alarm to ring 2 different times. The only thing that bothered me was that I reserved a unit on the 4th floor that I didn't realize had several steps up even after taking the elevator. I had many heavy boxes and needed a dolly to move most of it. The service representative warned me, which was good. But then I had to get another unit that was $50 more a month. The price was still way better than what I had, but it would be good to describe the situation on line so we know what we're getting into. Returned a trailer on 9/23/2021 That I was told by the manager I was Responsible for Mount that was Picked out by Jonathan dubon their counter person and Told not once but Twice! it was the Correct. Gave the Ball and Mount to the Trailer technician and he Installed on my 2016 Chevrolet 1500 had to Pull Over at Interstate 10 and Bob Hope Dr. Drove to the Chevron Station the Ball Came loose from Vibrations Trailer technician NEVER INSTALLED COTTER Pin! Was able to get to u-haul at 68075 Ramon rd Cathedral city cal 92234 . Return Trailer on 9/23/21 When I went to Explain what had happened and Told Repeatedly from the female counter person that I Bought Mount/Ball They Sold Me and Told me That it was the Right One Twice! Also their trailer technician I'll bet was Never been Trained properly But I was told this was my Responsibility! I'm sure their will Be no Fallow through! She made it so easy to check in and get my storage area. Without a doubt, the staff at this UHaul understand Customer Service. It's clear that the GM, Don has created a positive environment and sets a great example for his employees on how to conduct business. Both he and the storage Manager Debbie helped my son and I with a quick install of a trailer hitch and solutions on how to get his stuff back to Texas without costing an 'arm and a leg'. I especially loved hearing that someone from the cleaning crew offered up tools and a helping hand when it was apparent that getting the pallets of stuff from the third floor to the dock was going to be a challenge. Poor unprofessional staff, indifferent, lazy. On my check out day, I had to wait for a staff member who was too busy on her cellphone to help me even though she didn't have someone at her window. I got in at 6:45 and the staff that was working refused to allowed me to move into my unit. So as a "favor" they "allowed" me to park my open trailer with all my stuff in the hitch bay. I do not understand why you say you're open until 7. When I came the next day I was told that no one knew how to open the hitch bay and that I had to come back at 3. They also told me that they don't understand why the people on Saturday didn't let me move in then. This was extremely inconvenient. Then, even though I reserved a ground floor unit, it turned out to be a 5th floor unit with steps that had to be climbed to get my stuff in. This wasn't mentioned anywhere and was not what I reserved. So I had to upgrade to an 8x8x8 on the third floor to avoid the steps which is costing me considerably more money. It also has a column in the corner so it's not really an 8x8x8. The column is easily 1x1x8 so why am I paying for an 8x8x8? Doesn't seem fair. Lastly, zero of your male employees were masked berating a mask around your neck or mouth doesn't count. Suffice to say, I'm looking for another place to store my stuff and judging by my experience on Saturday evening, I'm guessing no one really cares so. I also need to say that while there was some effort to remedy my situation on Saturday there is no reason I couldn't have been given my card and allowed to move my stuff in. My "staff friendliness rating" was based on the Saturday crew. The Sunday crew was much more helpful and I'd give them a "yes" for this question.allan g. | Premières impressions

The worst experience EVER - first the location on Bay street saw my reservation but said they had nothing available due to a glitch and didnt see to care that i made this reservation a month in advance and called everyday the week leading up to me need the storage for a week and they confirmed it but when i arrive they tell me otherwise. I had to really lose my patience from the frustration to finally get them to find me a new storage facility which is how i ended up in Bay shore. What is the problem with you people? I have money in my account, my account is still the same and nothing has changed. I have been a customer with you for 5 years and my account has been on auto payment the whole time. You have to first request payment from my bank and in turn, they pay U-haul as they have for the the last five years but you already know this and that's why I believe you periodically try and scam or deceive customers into delinquency with their storage rooms. Please do what you were supposed to do in the first place and request payment of $129 from my bank and refund the late fees. Also stop your decitful practices of dropping active credit/debit cards, not requesting auto payments then alleging customer defaulted all in U-haul's attempt to place delinquency liens in order to wrongfully confiscate clients storage rooms.Paulette (Paula) L. | Premières impressions
