More help at the front desk. Better communication in house about pricing and reservations. There was initially some difficulty in understanding and accepting that Uhaul had contacted me to offer me a discount if I would drop off the truck at a different location.

Have trucks full fuel so you don't have to try to put it right back were it was like mine was between 1/2 and 1/4. Hard to do so you actually got a little extra cause didn't want to be a little get charged

I spent $300 on this move and evidently still owed mileage although I was sent away. Didn't hear about the mileage for a week. Info I received said I had until the 18th to dispute charges. I didn't dispute and expected the $27 and change to be charged to my card. They also took a $30 late fee, my fault for not reading everything, instead of just taking what was owed to them. I have 2 more moves just like this to make over the next month. I will definitely use Penske instead of giving anymore business to uhaul

Overall the truck was in very good condition and clean, but I dislike picking up a vehicle that doesn't have a full tank of gas. My tank was 7/8 full when I picked it up, and it's very hard to estimate 7/8 when filling it up. I drove 15 miles and put $24 of gas in the truck. If U-Haul is going to charge customers that don't return the trucks full, the location should at least fill them up before renting them again. Also, I initially reserved this truck at a location 1-1/2 miles from my house, and U-Haul never notified me that the location didn't have one available, and I had to drive 8 miles away to pick one up, costing me extra mileage and gas.

The next day after return the U-Haul, the location called to ask us when we were returning the U-Haul. My husband returned the U-Haul on time and handed the keys to personnel. I was called the next day and told that they could not find the U-Haul and they were questioning whether we dropped it off or not. Pretty ridiculous. It's obvious someone moved the truck or maybe rented it again. They don't seem to have their stuff together.

They didn't bother to come out when we stayed in the return lane. We had to go in and the guy was doing absolutely nothing and said I'll be with you in a few minutes. Waited more in the return lane. Guy finally comes out waving his arms and yells park it in “m”. Parked it and that was it. He didn't bother to mark our return and now we're fighting with uhaul as they've charged us additional days.

I was first told to pick up my UHaul trailer at B&D Motors in Knoxville. Upon arrival, the gate around the property was locked and no one was on the property. I called the UHaul customer service number, and asked that my reservation be moved to another location. B&D Motors has frequently caused problems for UHaul customers and should not longer be allowed to give out rentals.

I did not use the dolly, yet I was charged for it. I shouldn't have got the overnight fee because I arrived at 6:58 and the attendant locked the doors and told me I would have to call and do it online, which I was on hold and didn't get to complete the process until 7:08. I deserve my $27 back for the charges. All attendants were rude, morning and night for return.

When told to associates at drop off that the 48 wrapping pads were folded and had been placed in “ mothers attic” neatly,was told to go move them by roll up door of truck so they could unload them easier. Really, that would have hurt him?

I made my reservation with an actual agent. We agreed that I could pick up the vehicle at noon that day. When I arrived the vehicle was not ready for me even though I was the only customer in sight. The worst part about the entire situation was that one of the employees had somehow managed to take the keys home with her. Nevermind how this incident completely threw off my day and the plans that I had set there after.

I use U-Haul multiple times a year. This location in South Knoxville is always the best one in the area to deal with and today was no exception. Both gentlemen who helped me at pickup and drop off were courteous and efficient. The store and equipment are always spotless and the customer service here is top notch.

Maybe add more mouse boxes in the back before renter puts their items in the shed. The mice were a huge problem in our boxes. Dropping everywhere. Still going thru our things to see what was damaged. The business side of things was easy and great to work with.

I arrived just before closing time on Monday, August 16, 2021. The girl who was working at this location had already locked the door BEFORE 7pm, so she closed EARLY and was basically hiding in the back waiting for me to leave. She waited until I started walking back to my car, then she trotted to her car, got in and drove off. I had to wait until the next morning to unload my trailer - and as it turned out it RAINED ALL DAY on Tuesday, so my son and I got completely soaked while unloading the trailer. If the girl who worked the night before had kept the location open until the ACTUAL closing time, we could have unloaded in beautiful, dry weather. Once we unloaded the trailer on August 17, 2021 I went inside and told the guy who was working that we were dropping off the trailer. He told me where to park and unhook it, then came over once we'd unhooked it and he looked in the back end to confirm that the furniture pads were inside. He had other trucks to get moved, so he said he would close out my rental and send me an email. He did NOT do that, and Uhaul tried to charge my credit card for additional days because they showed that I didn't return the trailer until August 20, 2021. So because this location happens to have lazy, unorganized employees who apparently don't care how poorly they perform their jobs, your records show that I had the trailer through August 20th when I actually dropped it off EARLY. So instead of CHARGING me you can GIVE ME A CREDIT!!

Actually everything was the worst. By the time I arrived at the storage facility I was beside myself. After almost not getting a truck that I had reserved over a month ago it was never assigned to me. They found me one. But unbeknownst to me this one did not fulfill the original requirement for a free rental of one month. I had a melt down on the rental folks. They finally worked something out with me. But the truck rental people over charged for mileage because of there screw up.

Probably not something they can control but our unit had mice. The were dripping in most boxes even though we had not stored food. The units are near the woods and I don't know how they could control that but it was unpleasant unwrapping boxes and we even threw a few things away.

The man who checked in my wife for the storage unit was extremely rude. He was cursing in front of her about a situation with a co worker. Then during the middle of their conversation started texting, who we assume was his boss and said he was going to give her a piece of his mind. I chose this facility because I assumed it being u haul that it would be up to date and nice. But, the unit has duct tape on the insulated ceiling and water stains on the ground. If it wasn't for the fact that I only had helpers for one day, I would have went somewhere else.

We have used UHaul storage service numerous times before but unfortunately our storage experience at this location has been the worst. We only stored our belongings in the two units for a little over two months and were horrified when a large amount of rat feces, nuts, almond, flakes, hard candy and chewed up fabric were found on the outside and the inside of many of our boxes and some bags on our move-out day (We did NOT store any food items in our boxes). It's clear that the rat poison (the black box) placed inside one fo the two units did not deter their activities too much. Having said that, I am almost certain that the nuts, almond flakes and hard candy were from other storage units as some other customers might have stored these prohibited items. It has been a tremendously stressful process to go through each box and to clean up all the rat waste and chewed up debris before placing them into our new home. Perhaps this experience has taught us that the risk of rat activities is rather high in drive-up units. Lesson learned and hopefully we will plan better accordingly next time.

When I came to unload truck i had to wait while worker slowly cleaned vehicles for 45 minutes. No hurry no sense of urgency didn't care that myself and another customer was waiting. Then had a bad attitude when giving him my information. Other than the employee it was a good experience

I was told that I was getting a 15 % discount, 30 days free storage, and storage would only be 68 dollars a month. I was given one location to store things, but had to go 9 miles away. Awful.

The entire team at this U-HAUL was very polite!!! I was scheduled to close on a house 3 days after my payment was due and they worked with me so I didn't have to pay for the whole month.

Everyone was helpful and nice and when I was moving in the employees came out to check on me. I would recommend U-Haul to anybody and the prices were reasonable.

Unit was up for auction on 6th it was paid in full on 5th. My unit was AUCTIONED! The "owner" Tony was a rude smart as to me. I WILL NEVER USE UHAUL AGAIN I'VE BEEN ROBED & VIOLATED! MOLD EVERYWHERE

I was VERY frustrated with the experience. The communications from the facility manager were not good and ended up costing me over $180 for a month's rent.

Sure the facility was what you would expect from a storage and rental facility, but what set the Chapman Hwy. location apart was the staff. They were all extremely helpful and accommodating.

Make sure you check the gas level in the truck and make them note when it is not empty. Got stuck paying for a quarter tank of gas for no reason even though I only drove 20 miles altogether.
