Work on speed of picking up vehicle rentals and maybe make sure you let the customer know that they have to pick up any extra equipment themselves (ie not pre loaded into rented vehicle). I was scheduled for an 8am pickup but it was more like 9am by the time I actually got everything and was leaving the lot which means I paid 3 guys I hired $20/each to stand around waiting for me to get to the house we were moving.

Prebooked a truck and it was not there after all the paperwork was filled out in the office. The next truck they tried to put me in had BALD tires. That morning it was below freezing and snowing. Third try was a vehicle they had to call into head office as they couldn't find the keys! Oddly, that vehicles' windows had been left rolled down slightly so the interior was full of snow. Don't believe it was cleaned before it went out to me (COVID!!!). After returning the unit I've discovered that I have been double billed! Called the store directly but was redirected to a very nice helpful lady at a call center. She agreed that something is wrong with billing and sent a message to the franchise. However, I still haven't been contacted by this operator to have the billing straightened out. EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED!!

Booked a open 5 by 9 foot trailer 1 week ago received conformation 88378243. Picked up trailer today the one They gave me was a 4 by 8 foot, and was not told it was a smaller trailer. When I got to where I was picking up my lawn tractor It would not fit in the trailer that they gave me, as it was to narrow. When I returned later to u haul dealer I asked why they gave me a smaller trailer and not tell me. I was told the first 2times they don't have any 5/9 foot trailers. The last time I was told the one I ordered had a flat tire. Terrible customer service.

This is a hard review to write because the facility is great and offers a drive in, drop off experience that is perfect no matter what the weather. For the most part the staff are wonderful. Management is another story. We found the managers to be rude, profit motivated and difficult to deal with. When we moved in the facility was out of padlocks and asked us to use our own. We did. We checked back in a few days to see if the locks were in and they weren't. A few days later we received notice that our lock had been cut off and a UHaul lock installed on our unit. They took the time to send an email but didn't take the time to call us and let us know, instead choosing to ruin our perfectly good lock taken from our storage shed. This is just one example of the issues we had with the facility. We also had to fight to get our free month that came with renting a truck. We rented a moving truck in our former city and received a free month for that. When we rented a second truck from this location to finish up our move they absolutely did not want to give us another free month on a second unit. The manager was rude about it and very begrudgingly gave it to us. That said the staff we have dealt with in our daily interactions have been friendly and helpful.

The vehicle hadn't been cleaned out inside. There were Oreo cookies behind the seats and the windows were filthy. We had to stop at Canadian Tire to buy cleaner and paper towels. Vehicle ran great and was comfortable though.

I went in several times and twice I was able to get assistance right away but all other visits there was 4 or 5 staff in the store and all but 1 disappeared into a back room and the 1 staff left was on the phone. My husband returned the crates and experienced the same disappearing staff situation. The staff that did assist me were very helpful and pleasant.

Staff seemed stuffy/unfriendly and hard to approach. As a first-timer at this facility, the lack of care to explain how things work made us feel very intimidated. The main points that were poorly explained were refueling the rental vehicle and where to park it upon returning to the facility. The signage wasn't the easiest to follow and the instructions for refueling (specifically finding out how much we used and needed to replace) were not clear. Also we were told we travelled over 20km (and charged for it) when we only travelled roughly 10km total (4.5km one way) We were then told we should have put another $10 of gas in.. (we put in $5 and then were charged $7.xx for being short). Either we were scammed or that is really terrible gas milage! Over all not very impressed with the poor customer service we received. Vehicle itself was in good working order and served our purpose well! Probably won't go back nor recommend this company.

We rented a trailer for moving from Kelowna-Squamish (through one of the most dangerous highways in Canada, unfortunately during a storm). We were held back on our first day, when we were supposed to hit the road, because we noticed they sent us out with a trailer with a flat tire... this took way longer than expected (and promised) to be dealt with and pushed us to have to drive during the peak of the storm the next day. Low and behold, first thing the following morning, the first thing we noticed was the 2nd tire on the same side of the trailer was flat now. The chains were also fixed on very wrong by the staff member, with a foot of chain dragging the pavement. We were in a rush and holding up the new tenants by a day and a half now. I showed up at the location we got it from and they said there was nothing they could do about it unless we want to re-pack into a smaller trailer... which was physically impossible and wildly inconvenient when all that was needed was a switched tire. We were forced to use the trailer on the indescribably sketchy drive& stop to pump the tire up along the way (this one was a slow leak). The brakes (I believe) also were having a tough time as they started bellowing smoke as we neared our destination. After arriving, we called uhaul to say we don't feel safe driving the trailer and the least they could do is pick it up& save us another hour with it all the way to Vancouver... they relayed us to roadside, who said they could pump the tire/ look at it for us so we could bring it there. We did this ourselves& drove it. When arriving we were greeted by the best person we've dealt with in the company who looked it over, listened & agreed this trailer should not have been sent out. He also brought to our attention that the wiring from the trailer was literally melted. You guys avoidably put our lives at serious risk in a very unpleasant rental that should have been smooth-ish sailing if it weren't for the absolute negligence. Trailers are very, very basic pieces of equipment so overlooking all these serious issues is pretty impressive. The people at the drop off location told us to contact uhaul as there's no way someone should have to pay $400 (let alone$.01) for the awful rental experience. I wouldn't expect this from such an acclaimed company

Every time i rent a truck the customer service is worse. This time, when I went to pick up me and 2 other people stood in the waiting room for 10-15 minutes in an empty store without a staff member in sight. Also, the online return tool does not work! 3 times now i've rented trucks, the first 2 times were after hours so i was charged a $20 return fee each time. I have tried on 3 different phones now, 6 months apart, all times it says "U-haul cannot determine your location" and i'm forced to just pay the fee unless i want to sit on the phone at 9 pm in your parking lot for 30 minutes. If there was another option i would rent elsewhere but uhaul is the only affordable option.

I've used this location in the past. Picking up my rental has no issues or concerns. Returning my rental, however, was ridiculous. The staff member that received my rental, I had not met before, and was not only entirely rude, but decided it was his mission to find someway to charge me extra. After politely arguing with him, he decided that the gas was less than when I picked up the truck. My mistake was that I didn't take a picture of the gauge, as I brought it back with the exact same gas. Considering it was busy and I had other engagements, I decided not to ask for a supervisor to argue over $7, as this staff member wasted enough of my time with everything else. Worst experience I've had.

Truck was clean but not in best repair. It was also very cramped compared to all other uhaul trucks I've rented in the past. I reccomend a beeping system when in reverse for safety like other uhauls have had.

This the second time in 2 months that we have rented a moving truck from Uhaul in kelowna BC at the Enterprise Way location. The staff is friendly and efficient and would definitely recommend them. Our move did involve well over 100 km and this added up to quite a large mileage charge. i wish Uhaul had some free km included in the price like Budget rental does.

The check in clerk at end of day processed paperwork without even looking at me. Completed a refund for an item I returned, just pushed back the paperwork to me and said the truck is fine, you can go now. At pick up and return, only one customer service clerk was there to process the long line of customers. And READ THE FINE PRINT, folks! They sell insurance that doesn't cover the whole truck! I am so dismayed by all of this I will not ever rent from uhaul again.

We had a very negative experience with trying to pick up a trailer in Sparwood, the trailer malfunctioned and we couldn't bring all of our items with us. The managemebt was rude and unapologetic. When we arrived at Uhaul in Kelowna on Enterprise Way we were greeted with great customer service and support by a very understanding young man, which made up for the negative experience the day before. This is why we continue to choose Uhaul! Thank you Uhaul once again!

I wish to have someone call me for everything that happened. From day 1 on the chat about having unsatisfactory vehicles for BC winter driving, to improper advertising about 10day shipping stress, to delivery on both sides, just awful experience!! I wish to be compensated for ALL my inconvenience by at least a minimum refund of $450 of shipping charges. You may pull phone conversation to review all the inconvenience. With everything that had happened I most likely will choose my moving options with other companies next time over uhaul unless absolutely nothing else is available.

Once again...long wait to get the vehicle and to return it. Trucks actual mileage was 30km over what the paperwork stated. Fuel levels were 1/4 lower than the paperwork stated. But best of all there was food on the floor , a pita to be exact. I was told it must have been there for ages...under the seat. It was on the passenger floor as plain as the nose on my face.They told me they had used the truck that morning and even brought it up front for me. No one could be bothered to take the food out of the truck before handing it over to a customer? Not a single 'sorry' was offered. Crappy customer service at this location. I wont be using the Enterprise location anymore. You could really benefit from some customer service training for your staff.

The windshield wipers work but the fluid will not work on the truck. I didn't realize until I was on Highway 97 so traveling was an adventure. Thankfully I made it to my destination safe and sound. Otherwise I was happy with the experience. The employee that helped me install the tow dolly and loaded my car went above and beyond. Grateful for that.

Staff are less thank helpful, and also beyond incompetent ... Given misinformation multiple times. Also was charged for this unit AFTER it was emptied and we closed the contract (or the staff told us it was closed). One woman there is competent, but the manager and front staff don't know what they are doing and have no people skills. When asked a question they don't know they sit and stare at you blankly until you walk away. Less than impressed and will be telling friends NOT TO EVER USE THIS LOCATION FOR ANY REASON. had the same difficulties while renting trucks from this location in the past. Staff need some sort of training and knowledge about the locations services BEFORE being put on the desk with no manager around. The male manager of this location gets beligerant and downright rude when we are attempting to clear up disputes caused by his staff's previous misinformation given to us. Negative 5 stars.

Front staff fantastic :) When I was unloading close to 8;00 pm the closing South Asian informed us that you closed at 8:00. The warning of your closure started at 7:30 then 7:40 then every 5 minutes until you closed.I understand you have hours of operation but I don't need to be on the edge of harassed.He was slowing use down with his constant interference. An education in customer interaction would be very beneficial to this staff member.

When one reserves a truck it should be a guaranteed thing you get the truck on time...not depending if someone brings it back on time. Also you should not have to go out of town to pick it up. One should be told these things are a possibility of happening instead of finding out at the time of desparate need.

Regarding having our stuff in storage, the experience was good, the only issue is the u-haul charging me 2 units for the whole month of December when I used them for just a few days. 1 unit I used for 1 week in December after payment and the second unit for 3 days after payment. I thought I would have a refund for the remind of the month but I didn't. I paid the units online for December's month even thou I knew that we were using just for a few days, but that's what honest people do, pay their bills, right? However, the units are sitting empty now, u-haul took the whole monthly payment and will rent the same units and will make more money! That's the only issue that I have! Thank you!

At one point last fall there was a man living in the unit across from mine. I told the staff, and they did respond, but as a result my unit was ransacked by mice... I had to go through all my stuff and discard some. That's why I answered no to number 5. Other than that, I do think they keep it maintained.

Front office staff are friendly and helpful, but elusive. Not uncommon to stand in the front for 10 minutes without seeing a staff member, or to wait 20 minutes in a line to speak to one of them. On the flip side, every time I spoke to the GM (Andrew) I had a bad experience. He's a horrible little man with the wrong attitude for dealing with people, be they staff or customers. I moved my rental to Spacious Storage for the above reasons.

For two years in a row now I have been told I had storage for my boat. As I go to bring my boat in they say that my reservation confirmation was no good as the manager had just given ours places away. The fact that I got it resolved after hours of working on it myself and pushing the staff to get something done. Shows a lack of management and organizational skills. I feel that head office or corporate or whoever may have given all our spots away dealt with the customers extremely inappropriately. I believe for all the inconveniences and the sheer lack of trust your company shows. That they would give some kind of gratification or credit to the customer like myself. I am happy to be in the storage unit with my boat but by far had to work very hard to get it. The staff that was on site and Kelowna worked very hard to try and help me out. I do not know who was to blame for this but two years in a row is too much

the Manager Andrew has been awesome to work with, as the last one was a disaster, but the internal system to book and secure a spot needs work! 2 years in a row i have had nothing but frustration to get my boat in and this year im overpaying for a spot because, the system did not allow me secure the spot after i was told that I was good and even with a confirmation number i was not secure at all and I was lucky to get a spot, I told the clerk that I was ready to start paying for a spot and I was not charged and the spot was given to someone else, the system needs work, but im sure you have the right guy at the helm, andrew is great thxs

There were people living in units beside mine. My stuff was ruined and destroyed from mice because of the people living in the units beside me. When I signed up I was not asked if I wanted the protection plan. Then I was called a liar for saying that I wasn't offered the protection plan. I will be going to the papers in Vancouver Kelowna I'm going to go write the city. I believe people were going into my locker and stealing stuff because I am missing a lot of stuff. I will definitely b protesting against U-Haul.... I'm very upset and unhappy

My main concern is the difficult access to the storage parking spaces in the warehouse. Very inconvenient to have to go into the office, line up, then ask someone to open the back door. When I first rented the storage space over a year ago, I was told that they would be putting in some kind of key fob or card access system. This never happened. If it had been done, I would have probably stayed there.

The monthly storage was fine but I left because they are renovating the place and both of my car covers are totally ruined because they are caked on with dust and dirt... They are ruined and I need new ones. Second of all, the day I’m checking out, no one notices my wife and I and are 2 year old daughter are still in the compound getting our vehicle to leave and they locked us in. There is no one around to let us out as they closed with us still in the place! And you can’t call anyone because you end up getting people in the states as they are an American company. We were locked in there for over an hour and they wouldn’t believe us because they couldn’t see us on camera or something... terrible experience your better on to pay for a proper storage facility as I went to save a little bit of mo way but your better off for a 24 hour storage facitily as they’re hours are terrible and they don’t really care about you like they should

From the start it was a bad experience. Was told one door code, tried it multiple times, didn’t work! Waited for over an hour to get in to the storage unit. Was told we could go anytime and drop stuff off, wasn’t true. Trying to call, is a nightmare. Get put on hold forever, then get hung up on. The workers don’t seem to have a clue what you’re asking or talking about, 3 or 4 people to actually understand. Oh and the constant reminders if you don’t pay....3 texts, 5 emails and 3 letters sent, that’s a tad extensive

On move out I noticed quite a bit of mouse droppings in my storage unit. This was quite alarming to me as we moved from out of province and used your storage facility to keep our house contained basically. All our precious items were there and to know that mice were all inside and around our belongings, really made us very uncomfortable. Being in the food industry I am quite aware of “hantavirus” and it’s effects to humans through inhalation of the droppings. We had to clean and sanitize all items that we took from the storage unit after finding the traces of mouse droppings. This took up a lot of our time. We were more than unhappy with this and when I asked your staff about it, they responded with “did you have insurance?”.Unfortunately we did not purchase the optional insurance when renting the unit. We did not realize this was a problem and if I had known your facility was infested with mice, I wouldn’t have done buisness there let alone bought insurance. Your staff needs to be better trained and perhaps educated on hantavirus and it’s effects. To me insurance is for things like , theft, fire, floods. Not mice!! I will never use this facility again or recommend it.

My vehicle was parked in the storage facility on Oct 16/19 to Apr 14/20. The storage space couldn't have been dirtier when I picked up my van. It is the dirtiest it has ever been since owning it for the past 21 years. Everything in that facility was covered with thick construction dust. Every customer that used/using this place deserves a refund or rebate for the treatment their vehicles have suffered. The owner should be ashamed of how their customers have been treated. Absolutely disgusting!! The only thing that should be stored there is piles of dirt or gravel.

I would like to talk to anyone from head office regarding my experience this winter. Last fall I rented a 40’ space for my boat to be parked in over the winter as I do every year. I was delayed by a month to move my boat in my spot as someone else was using the spot to park in even so I had already paid for the space. Every time I went to check if the unit was ready it wasn’t and in turn I paid for a month of storage $326 and wasn’t able to use the space. I asked the manager to let the people know that were parked in my spot that I would like them to pay for that month, he said he would look into it but he never called me back. Over the winter there was significant construction in the building and extreme amounts of dirt and dust in the building. Between my boat and my car I had just over $500000 worth of stuff in the unit which was completely covered in an inch of dirt and dust. I have a huge cleaning bill now due to the construction that was done inside the building over the winter it would have been nice to have been advised this was happening so myself and everyone else storing stuff could’ve made other arrangements or at least cover our possessions up to avoid this mess.
