Pleasant to move into a warm clean environment

That aside, place is impeccably clean. Rate was far too high, too. We were in a pinch this past spring, appreciate the accommodation.

DAVID KDrivers side windshield wiper was starting to fall apart so was streaking on the snow highway. Rest of truck was OK. There was also no walk around with a person and I was just thrown the keys. I had no cell phone so the "URL" texted to me was really no use to me. Please bring back customer service and have someone guide to the vehicle and perform the walk around.
ROBERT TThe vehicle i was given worked when i drove it off the lot to my house. Then I parked it out front and loaded it up with all my belongings for the move i was making. When I went to get back into the vehicle once I was done with loading everything, the vehicle would not turn on and the battery was completely dead. I checked to make sure I had not left any lights on or anything like that, and it was the case meaning that the vehicle just died on its own. I then had to schedule a service with roadside assistance, which wound up taking 2 hours to get there and resolve the issue. Once the issue was resolved, the check engine light was then on in the vehicle for the remainder of the move. Overall I had 2 hours taken off of my 10 hour booking, and was only compensated $20 of my $220 bill. I feel as though there should have been more compensation or something else provided, given the amount of time I lost due to the faulty vehicle.

RAJINDER SBooked a 20'. Got called 1 hr before pickup. To tell me there was no 20' available so took a 15' because 26' don't have mud and snow tires. Bald shoulder on a front tire. Battery weak died after half hour with hazards and dome light on. Was told truck had 5/16 of a tank of a gas and if I brought it back with less than 1/4 tank it was a big deal and there would be a $30 charge. Truck had just under 1/4 when I started.
PATRICK HTruck was covered in snow, would be nice if atleast the crusty windshield was taken care of. Other locations had the equipment in back of truck ready to go, loaded in truck, thisnlocation made me not only load it, but I had to search the entire lot for the truck by walking through slush and pushing 2 dollies and a furniture mover and searching for a license plate. One plus, the drop off was good with a friendly tech outside and promptly attending.
SHYLO WVehicle was cleaned but left the rear cargo floor wet. Makes it really slippery and most of my stuff got dirty. The truck that I got makes knocking noises when steering left to right and wanders on the road. The vehicle can't be kept straight while driving and just pulls side to side. Might be dangerous for other users. Got charged $35 of gas for the 10kms that I drove. Fuel wasn't even on the 3/4 when I got it. And vehicle was already idling for too long when I received it. Still got charged for the fuel

SALOMONE R | Expérience généraleAfter a large snowfall overnight the lot was not plowed. I was sent to the back back parking lot trucking through the snow to find the truck. No snowbrush inside to brush off the truck - I had to grab one from my own car. Th eheck engine light came on right away. I had to go inside and let the staff know. An employee hooked it up to a hand held reader and told me it was fine.. just throwing a code for a catalytic converter and told me it was fine to drive. When I requested he provide me something in writing that uhual was aware of the check engine light he told me it was unnecessary and fine to drive and would not write on my paper work...

DAVID SHad to do a quick move with a truck rental and storage unit. Cale helped me and my father with the truck rental and unit rental. It was very fast and efficient service, some of the best I have had in years, even though the store was extremely busy and Cale and his staff did an amazing job. I can't stress enough how busy this place was and they dealt with it like champs. Thanks again, I will recommend to everyone.

If we hadn't looked at the all the paper work very closely we would not have known it was somehow changed to 9 AM to 3 PM. We caught it and it was changed to the correct time of 9 AM to 5 PM. Would have been Excellent if not for that. All was good and our move went smoothly after that. Thanks!!!
DIANE LOverall, the facility and staff are excellent, however, needing to deal with putting my access code into two punch pads was VERY confusing. Need better, clear and concise, instructions visible over top of the first punch pad. Merci.

Colleen T | Expérience généraleFirst off, The vehicle is in miles per hour. No issues. Under the miles per hour is a very gray, very hard to see km/hr. Almost impossible to read. I'm Not kidding I was practicing my speech to the cops on the highway. Am I going ninety km? Or 105? Look so close.. oh shit my eyes aren't on the road at all! Guys fix this. A fucking liability. I would be happy to Sue you folks if anything happened to me because I was trying to read the horrible Speed limit innocuously displayed to my demise. The doors on my vehicle didn't close properly. I had to fucking slam them. Not close them The line up at the location is a joke. It's always been a joke. I'm Waiting 20-30 minutes just to get my rental. Not the staff btw. You're cheap asses aren't hiring enough people or our system isn't set up Well. Do better. Oh btw? I booked everything online before I got there. Terrible. Truck was clean so you hit the low bar. Service was terrible because it took for fucking ever.

DENNIS HA contract was entered between us and U-Haul, you broke the contract and our reserved agreement prepaid. That's right you took our money/payment. Failed to deliver on the product as described 10x20, 2x10x8 units doesn't equal ten by twenty, we rented a twenty foot truck and were fortunate we were able to fit into the two smaller units. It cost us extra time to satisfy and delayed our departure having to use the second floor and elevator additional time to unload delayed our departure again and had us on the Hwy back to Vancouver in freezing weather and road conditions we should not have faced if you had kept your agreement to our contract of prepay-booking reservations for a ground floor unit the computer system 2days previous we paid for in person at Delta UhAul.

So, because it was dark I vould not see the instrument panel so could not figure out how to turn on defogger nor turn off towhaul in the night. On returning truck I did not know to drive it under blue canopy. Other than these minor issues the experience was very good.
WILLIAM MHave worries about finding snd seeing, on numerous occasions, homeless pple around and entering the units, setting alarms off. Keep an eye out.

JOHN MThis company has lost my belongings, locked me out of my unit erroneously, cut off my lock because they OST keys from my new lock that they insisted be put on. I've had staff pretending to be the manager offer to sell my belongings and been charged thousands of dollars in late fees because I couldn't move my payment date to a day I would be in town. When I had automatic payments set up I was getting multiple payments coming out at the same time. I've been told my unit was unsecured and it could be secured for a "fee". I agree and then when I get into town To go to my unit 10 days later it was left OPEN the entire time. When I have asked for my file to show the calls and communication to find out where my items were moved from their temporary unit of 2298 (because the staff locked my unit and lost the keys) and NO ONE could tell me where they moved my things. I will advise every person I meet to avoid this location AT ALL COSTS. The only decent communication I have ever had is with the customer service at head office but they don't call back either. Do better. This entire store should be closed

RICHARD HWe rated No on the office hours and the access hours. Both closed at 7:00 PM. In our case, we were coming from Vancouver in a u Haul truck and needed to empty it into a storage unit. We arrived at 6 PM and were told we had to be done by 7 PM. We asked if we could stay later so we could empty the truck and they allowed it, but this conversation would not need to happen if the hours were extended to accommodate someone coming from distance and they need to empty the truck into storage. I think the hours need to be extended longer. 7 PM is quite early for people to access their storage units. Thanks !

LESLEY SI accidentally put excess gas in. About $35 worth. I had gone over my mileage and was charged accordingly but I thought it would have been good customer service to compensate for the fuel in some way when the attendant acknowledged there was excess gas in it.

MARGARET ODropping the truck off was too time consuming, I couldn't find anyone to help or direct me other the guy inside who told me someone outside would handle it. After waiting 30 min I just went through the after hours process and left.
JOCELYN LI felt that this van was not safe enough to drive long distance, through mountains and snow and ice… From the very beginning it was a very poor experience, from calling multiple places to try to obtain a trailer to feeling very unsafe and nervous for most of the drive… The first place I called did not help with finding a trailer whatsoever, they said they just didn't have any one ways, was advised to call another number and it was a Russian woman, who was TERRIBLY RUDE and incredibly unhelpful!! I then called the Powell river uhaul and they were nice enough to give me some reassurance that there should be a one way somewhere and gave me a number for the Port Moody branch? Or Coquitlam? I can't remember, anyways.. When I called them, the man on the line put ZERO effort into looking for a trailer, was told there were none in Canada and only USA had them. I then called the Findlay uhaul location in Kelowna, WHO WAS AMAZING! I think it was Colleen who helped me, she actually put the effort and research in and she said they were getting an auto transport on the Thursday of that week, and she proceeded to take my booking. She is awesome! I had to go to a different location to pick up the trailer, front desk girl was amazing and helpful. The guy who hooked up my trailer was super reluctant to do so and did not put any effort into showing me how to do it… Whatever fine, I'll YouTube and ask a friend. I went back to load my car on the trailer and the security guy onsite helped strap it down, don't know if he's a uhaul employee Jason, but he is also an awesome guy! Incredibly nice and helpful. And now onto the trip, as soon as I left Kelowna I noticed that whenever I braked, the truck veered right slightly and whenever I accelerated, the truck veered left slightly. So to say that this was terrifying through the mountains and snow, icy roads with no chains or instructions provided. Sure, I could've pulled over and called usual roadside and delayed my trip a day because I have to catch 2 ferries to get to where I was going. From what I could tell, every tire on the van was a different make, I didn't see that they were winter tires which is apparently against the law to NOT have during the winter months on the highway. All around, it was a particularly horrible experience.. You guys provide little to no instruction to the customer upon pickup, there are guidelines and warnings in the flyers but not many people actually read through those, especially when they're max stress travelling through blizzards and white roads with no winter tires…. I feel that there should be a lot more interaction between uhaul employees and customers travelling long distances in treacherous conditions. You guys are seriously jeopardizing peoples safety when scenarios like this happen…. I could've went off the road, could've had a serious accident, etc etc. Please do better. Please do more about safety.
Geoffrey SThe whole move in online experience in store was awful. Weak wifi signal or busy servers made it impossible. Staff at desk couldn't be bothered to assist. Had to pay for lock rather than get it free because of these circumstances. I feel the cost of the lock should have been waived as it was very bothersome and time consuming and definitely not for lack of trying on mine (the customers) behalf.

SERHII KMy only comment is that i went to go put something in my unit at about 8 pm I think it was and the garage door wouldnt open. I have to imagine that is for security but it would have been good to know the posted unit hours dont include the garage door opening time. Otherwise it was an easy and seamless process and i didnt worry once about the safety of my stuff.

The units are not true to dimensions as there are cross beams obstructing about 10sq feet of usable space. My 5x5x8 was barely big enough for my 3/4 content of the 5x8 trailer

Once i got to the right entrance at the side of the building, the elevator going to the 2nd floor was down all Sunday so i had to hand carry boxes up the stairs which kind of sucked, but i get it's not anyone's fault.

We could only get people to help move in the evening and the access to the overhead doors locked at 7 pm on Saturday. With all the security measures, it would be great to have an extended time during the week and weekends. Another customer was also looking to gain access to the overhead doors as well after 7 pm. It was more difficult for us to move everything from outside through the small door next to the overhead door. We also tripped the alarm because we kept the door open too long. it was great to nave the moving carts available. We realize that our moving situation time was less than ideal but a bit more time for overhead door access would have been better and easier for us. Unless there was a way to grant access to the overhead doors with special booked access time for others in the same situation. Just some thoughts and suggestions if it can happen. Otherwise it was a great experience and all our questions were answered.

Donald K | Expérience généraleI reserved one storage unit sized 10x10 but was given two storage units sized 5 x 5. I called in and was told there were no 10 x 10s. So i drove to the facility and they said there were 10 x 10s so my unit was changed. When i went to the unit it was full of garbage and glass. They cleaned the unit and i was able to use it the next day.

While the near 7 month ordeal is FINALLY OVER and I know my belongings are safe…the extra $200/monthly will be tough but..doable. Absolutely recommend Kelowna U-Haul with thanks.

Also my partner did not know he was supposed to remove the lock and was not told to when handing in keys. They took the keys. I went back in to confirm termination and they had no idea where keys went and said they would have to cut the lock. He said when keys were handed in girl at desk was very distracted and dealing with telephone customer at same time.

Kae O | Expérience généraleAlarm system is almost constantly sounding and nobody cares to fix it. Lights on motion sensors turn off when working inside locker- dangerous. Mice infestation in building- rodent chew holes in my items. Supposed to have access until 10Pm through man door but security system says "area closed please see site manager for help" right after 7PM close. 1 overhead door almost always out of service. We were originally told we'd have 24 hour access to our belonging and that there would be on site security- not true. Alarm system automatically signs you out after 15-20 minutes when working inside locker then alarms are blaring again until you sign back in. Very disappointing experience for the price we paid each month/ year.

We could drive our car directly into the large entrance and there were plenty of carts for us to use. Compared to the other storage unit we rented in the lower mainland - it is so much more convenenient, both in terms of service, price, and accessability.
