I called the general call center to prebook my uhaul,the guy was great! However when I got to the Enterprise location nothing that I set up was honored. I could barely understand the guy at the desk,he took forever and told me I had to bring the uhaul back to that location which was not the original plan,he did give me 30 extra km or so he said but that was only because i told him i would not pay extra as I already called and set it up to avoid situations like this..the guy didn't even acknowledge me when i got to the counter. There were line ups and people were clearly frustrated. I heard they changed the schedule on someone else beside me that was actually travelling a long distance. The young men working here seemed very disorganized and had no ambition whatsoever.Charity S.

I dropped the truck off with slightly more fuel than when i picked it up and still you charge me an extra 20 for fuel charges. Told the attendant I'm moving to kaleden and dropping the truck off in penticton, so again let down by extra charges.DUSTIN T.

The call center reserved a truck for me that wasn't available at the enterprise location in Kelowna BC. Thanks to the clerk he was able to get me a van but it makes it more stressful for the counter person to deal with such issues and for me, the customer.DONNA B.

The staff were helpful however they seemed understaffed / under trained for the job. i had to wait 15mins in the queue because the staff member on the desk did not know the answer to a customers complaint and it took at least 10 mins for the person who i presume was the manager to step in and help. Otherwise the trailer did the job that I required and price was ok Not quite sure why your trailers do not have dolly wheels / hitch jacks on them. They can be heavy to hook up and disconnect when loaded, also some instructions on how to hook up and disconnect the trailer would have been useful from the guy who took photos of it before i drove off. Luckily i have driven a trailer before but the hitch locking mechanism is little different to what i am used to. ThanksETIENNE S.
Everything was great. The hours of operation, the staff, the price. As a courier I rent with any downtime of my own truck. Your trucks are difficult to adjust too but doable. The office staff seem overwhelmed but well tempered. They improved the cost to me by putting me in a better more suited to me rental agreement. Thank you Kelowna u-haulEDWARD T.
Told me to be there at 7 am and made me stand there for an hour till someone opened the door. Aweful everything. Told me the day before they had lots of 2 inch balls and were sold out. Aweful terrible experience. Completely worn tires on the trailer. Unsafe and 900 dollars to rent a trailer for 3 days is pathetic when you can buy a used one for 1500LUCAS T.

A SHIT SHOW!! This was a ridiculously horrible experience from start to finish. Our pickup was at 10 am and we got there 15 min early. The lineup was almost to the door. We finally got to the counter shortly after 10 and they took more than 20 min to do the check in. We did not receive the vehicle until 10:28am. They said we could not keep it an extra half an hour even though we had booked for 4 hours. We had also booked a furniture dolly and a utility dolly which apparently, they had none of. We were told the furniture pads were in the truck, which they were not. We did what we could without moving dollies but returned early because we could not continue without dollies. The attendant tried to tell us that we had driven 67 km which was ridiculous since we had only been in Rutland and had cut the day short. He basically accused us of lying and would have tried to charge us if I had not put up an argument. He looked at the computer and found out he was wrong. No apology even. He tried to charge us for the furniture pads that were NOT in the van and said "they are sitting right by the front door, how do I know you didn't take them". We were not the only pissed off people there. There were two other couples who were being subjected to the same crap that we were dealing with. To quote one man who walked out ahead of us (he yelled this as he left), NEVER AGAIN!!!!!! You have lost our business forever and we will be advising people to go to the U-Haul rental on Findlay because they are awesome!Christine S.

On Saturday night you only had 1 person on computer for check-in . It took for ever, and I felt so bad for the employee working. He was getting so much heck from people. Booked the storage online 2 weeks in advance. Showed up at the facility at 6:45pm with my load of belongings. I was informed that Uhaul in Canada doesn't accept the online bookings. It was confirmed, so what is that all about? Not good. Thankfully, there was a space available. However! I was told I couldn't unload because they were closing in 15 mins, although it's secure with a code etc. There I am with a rented trailer that had to be back that night, my hired help and a storage space I couldn't access. Hi there, I 've always had great service and felt confident about leaving my belongings with u - haul. However, as I went to return my locker last, friday, saturday and sunday... We took our boat out of storage in June. We waited in line to let the staff know and were told "the billing system is down" but assured our account would be closed. We were charged for storage again in July. We went in and spoke to a "manager" who apologized and told us it would be rectified that day. We were charged again in August. Again, we went in and met a different manager who apologized, told us there was a lot of staff turnover but assured us we would receive a refund that day. We were charged again in September. We went into the location yesterday and met with Cale - he handled the situation on the spot, provided us with receipts for the refund of the overcharged amounts. The passenger door lock was hanging out and you really need to hire more staff at this location. There were 6 people in line and only one person working at the counter. However, he was courteous and efficient so a big thumbs up to him as it must have been a crazy day for him.RHONDA R.
The lineup up to drop off the trailer was very long, and had to wait quite some time. The staff were helpful, once we were able to talk with them. they did commiserate that the trailer we were given was very old, Basically not enough staff were available.Henry R.
Customer service was horrible at this location. Severely understaffed and not very helpful. It took me over 45 minutes to get my truck (2 people in line before me) and took over half an hour to return the truck because the site wouldn't register my location and there was no option to just take a picture of the building where I was. It was an extremely frustrating process all the way around. The Findlay location was much more helpful and I will be using them in the futureJACQUELYN C.

Had to wait half an hour to get my first truck as they couldn't find it, then when I got the second truck it was faulty and couldn't use it and couldn't get in touch with anyone as it was closed for the day. At the end I returned it after 2 hours as it was not worth the risk to load it up and I was till fully charged for the rental and no phone call to follow up on my complaint.Xin Y.
Someone from U-Haul called me an hour and a half before pickup time to tell me they didn't have a pickup truck available only a 15' box truck. I told them I didn't need that! I was travelling long distances and extra gas that would cost me would be completely unfair. So he told me he would charge 250 $plus insurance included. I agreed. Get there and they wouldnt honor the price. Being late with where I needed to be I went ahead and thought I would deal with it later. Called corporate said she would get back to me and never did. Spent at least 400 $extra in gas!. What's the point of reserving anything if your going to switch it anyway?!?. Shady business dealings. Will be the last time I deal with uhaul. Went very well cheap way to go if need a truck for a few hours. We used the truck and rented the small dolly to move a new stove from costco. Cheaper than any delivery by alot, saved about 50 dollars if you your own insurance. The people at the enterprise way laction were very friendly and helpful. They had a clean up station to disinfect the truck nice setup.RICHARDD W.

I found the irst staff member at the counter; seemed like he wasn't interested in helping us at first. This is when we first acquired the unit. This was not the location I had booked for my original pick up. I had to drive an extra hour and a half to get my trailer. In the end, it worked out in my favor as I renegotiated the time for pick up and drop off but it was not a convenient pick up.PEGGY F.

The facility is lovely. Everything is brand new and has plenty of space. A complaint I have is that every time I used the bathroom, it was always dirty with garbage overflow, dirty floors and toilet & the sink always had gross stuff in it. Also only having 1 bathroom for a facility that size is ludicrous!! At the very least there should be a washroom on every floor. The times I'd gone to my unit there was a young woman pushing a cleaning cart, yet I seen her spending more time texting and talking on her phone then pushing a broom. Regarding access to the facility, it should be a 24 hour availability. There's already security in place so why not have 24 hour accessibility. However I've had interactions with the manager who is extremely nice and accommodating. When I showed up to receive the truck I had reserved it wasn't there. Apparently the manager had taken it without properly signing it out and he wasn't answering his phone. They acted like it was my fault for only booking 30 minutes in advance. After 15 minutes of messing around they finally got ahold of him, and 15 minutes after that he showed up with the truck. The main guy actually helping me was quite good. He apologized and seemed as surprised as I was that the truck was missing. When I brought the truck back (~1 hour later) all the other employees had left and it was just the one guy (same guy that was helping me originally) dealing with all the customers. He was doing his best, but I had to wait 15 minutes to be helped and the line was continuing to grow behind me. Additionally, when I made the reservation online I had opted out of the 15 $damage protection but was charged it anyway (I take responsibility for not reading the invoice more carefully before I signed it, but still a bit of a piss off). One good thing: there was some ambiguity around the fuel level, so I put 6,50 $ in the tank to be safe (I only drove 13km) and it bumped the fuel gage up by a mark (1/16?), so I was credited 13 $. I told the guy I only put 6 $in and he said it was my lucky day. Overall, I waited 45 minutes and paid 35 $to rent the pickup for one hour. Certainly not ideal, but it could have be worse.LIAM S.

I had several problems with my experience there. Much of it was just a problem of price. I phoned about 6 six times before I actually rented the van, and talked to different people and was quoted different rates. My initial quote was 330 $including taxes and 1000 free kilometres. I did not get an email confirming this, but was texted a registration number. I checked the registration number and the price on that statement was something like 49 cents a kilometre, which would make my bill about 500 $to go 1000 kilometres. I then phoned back to ask about this and talked to a lady who seemed to have some authority. I did not have a name, but she said she would try and check what I was quoted and get back to me in a few days. She said they would honour my price if it was right. I did not hear anything so I phoned again a few days later and talked to another fellow who looked me up and said yes my price was 330 $. I said I could not find this with the registration number he sent me, so he emailed me a copy of this contract. They had my name spelled wrong "mackintosh instead of mcintosh" which I guess is why I could not find the contract. So I told him and go him to change my name, which he did, and I am fairly certain he said the price was 330 $taxes included. The contract he had emailed me showed 1300 free kilometres and 330 $for a week or something like 30 $a day, and I was only renting for 2 days, so this sounded fine. Then to top all this off, when I rented the van it turned out that right rear signal light was not working. I was on a tight schedule and 20 miles away by the time I realized this. I should have known this right away, because the signal light was clicking extra fast for right turns. This is quite dangerous travelling with a packed van. So the whole experience was not very good.DAVID M.

Ran by 3 teenage kids, massive lineup that was slow to be dealt with, truck was dirty and hadn't been cleaned properly (i.e., moldy piece of fried chicken on the floor of the cabin), and it took them over 45 minutes just to FIND the keys after I had gone through the self-pickup process. 45 minutes... just to find the keys...JORDAN P.

Have had some troubles lately and I miss Bernie and Michaela being there! They were always spot on helpful! Last truck had brake light going on and off lots and ABS as well and at times both lights on at same time. This was to Victoria and back. Anytime anything is wrong I get zero help from head office and I rent lots of trucks from Uhaul and especially this very location for 11 yrs now. I rarely have had any big problems in 11 yrs. Horace at H.O. was absolutely non caring and non helpful on my big truck fail on my last big move adventure to Edmonton and a big truck fail and breakdown! Just to show care and understanding goes a long way with me. I have given gc's to some employees there over the yrs on good efforts! Lately a couple of fails to report with no help and me fronting a big hotel bill not planned for and a receipt saved on and a cab fare bill to get to a replacement truck while stuck in Calgary.NOLAN P.

Worst customer service ever....Donkeys. First got told no van even though we made reservation. Then told van was broke but actually was out of gas.....this is not a broken van. Then told cash can not be taken. 45 for simple cash transaction with multiple staff members one of whom was meant to be manager.....is not manager or shouldn't be. 20 minutes to wait for a receipt when returning even sending a email had this guy puzzled. This is only scratching the surface thankfully we saw the funny side of the poor customer service and we also took 5 pens. We look forward to using you guys again.Ben A.
Online, U Haul central and local counter systems are not coordinated well enough for efficient service. Several simple misunderstandings with the locker, length of rental, hours open, no direct line to contact the upcoming rental lication makes the process total chaos and costly foe UHaul and the the customers. This location has horrible customer service, very unclear hours of operation and the laziest staff I have ever encountered. I highly recommend NOT GOING HERE! They only care about signing you up and making money, but when you need help or are done using a service they throw you aside and leech as much as they can from you. Either this facility was often understaffed, staff were nit trained or managed well or Management simply did not care, the response times to serve a customer were slow, the bathroom facilities were normally disgusting and garbage in and around storage areas were noticeable and left out. As well, the drive through entrance and exit did not function well or were often out of service. Access hours are unreasonable. Elavator in bad need of programming, doesnt stay open long enough. And is not set properly Level on second floor. I would think Hydrolic leak which is not properly fixed. Alarm's are not programmed properly. ( I go and open my locker, Close it and open again and Alarm goes off. Not Very Good at all. Alarms Go off all the time making it redudant, and useless. Nobody cares about alarms. They should be turned on only at night-time and a Security Officer should come not staff. Air Conditioning was not on at the srcond level making it unbearable this last week. And some of my antique Collection was littered with debris from maintenece cutting holes in the ceilling from leakage repairs. I have photo's to prove. The manager was very helpfull though. Lengthy line up due to only one staff member "present" at the desks, entry drive in door for loading was inoperable due to circumstances - which is fine - however this was not explained while at the desk - had to find alternate route on my own which ate up quite a bit of time. On day two of move in the elevator was down - which again is fine - however there is only one set of stairs that lead to the upstairs...??? No secondary elevator?? No second set of stairs? No estimate on when the repairs were going to be performed or completed. Furthermore, lots of individuals disregarding face masks - no staff to enforce mandatory mask guidelines. Lastly, they've so far charged me for my pre-authorized amount for my van rental, however, I used significantly less kilometers than I had estimated. No final breakdown of the final bill was emailed to me. Staff was friendly enough, but this facility is lacking some fundamentals in some significant areas as outlined.ryan v. | Premières impressions

Renting a truck is easy and convenient but storage with uhaul is not. It's overpriced, the access hours are inaccurate, the elevator and bathroom were gross, and they double charged my boyfriends credit card for his storage unit and then locked him out of it anyways(for apparently not paying). It took an hour to get someone to come down to unlock it while we were trying to move. Staff were friendly but they're clearly understaffed. Every single time we've gone to get something from our units in the 3 months we rented for, either the gate was locked early or the floors were being polished so we were denied access to our specific units. I don't know why they need to polish the floors so often but don't clean the elevator or bathroom. We pay close to 200 $EACH for our units and to be locked out 2 hours early after driving half an hour to our belongings is disappointing and frustrating. We can't even call to see if we would have access because it takes an hour long hold to reach someone at the store. Access clearly says online 5am to 10pm but gate was locked at 8pm, sometimes even 7pm. Truly disappointing 3 months.Bailey T. | Expérience générale

Guy at the counter clearly didn't want to be there. A young guy said he hurt his back and the manager decided to ignore the line up for a half hour while he filled out an incident report. Instead of just telling the younger man to sit and wait for hit while he saw to a couple of the customers he decided to make the customers sit and wait instead, at least one of who left. After Andrew left the Kelowna Enterprise way location everything went down hill and fast. A middle aged bald man who does hitch installs seemed to run the show. He was late rude and just started taking things way. Like my access remote which i PAY FOR MONTHLY. He just walked up one morning a demanded it. No explanation. Just an absolute jerk. His hygiene was poor and he RARELY WAS SEEN WITH A MASK ON. You could see his facial herpes as he demanded my access remote control. I frequently saw him sneaking cigarette breaks everytime he would issue a trailer rental. Just and awful man. He was short with my fiancée. We were very loyal customers. Were is the key word and we and encouraging everyone to move out of uhaul before they are abused too. The younger staff were quite accommodating and helpful. They deserve good treatment and praise. I inquired and told I would get a free month because I wanted to stay with uhaul and move my belongings to port moody location. Port moody would not honor it and your location would not give me the free month instead. It was noted on my file and still no employee would honor it. I was told it was for a free truck rental and not the unit. I however know this to false as I have also had a conversation with them at the call center. A representative was supposed to.call me last week and did not. I was mislead and lied to about the free month. I decided to just move my stuff to a different company's storage. I feel I should get my free month reimbursed. Second on a more serious note. I have informed health canada about your employees disregard of the mandated mask rules. First time I entered, I stood in line for 5 minutes or so. 3 gentlemen had no mask on, an employee in a red shirt, just had his mouth covered and was talking to another person on the other side of the glass, that seemed like an employee off duty doing some inquiring of his own with his mask off. I politely mentioned the masks, they all gave me an excuses of different reasons then put them on. I mentioned it was mandated and they agreed to that statement and apologized. Not acceptable from a national company. I cleaned out my locker and entered again to inform them and one of the same guys had his mask off again. I am sure corporate will find this highly unacceptable. Please discuss and set mandated orders at your facility. This letter is meant to not only state my grievance, but also to serve a a respectable reminder to please ask and demand your employees follow mandated health guidelines. We had issues with this facility from the beginning. One member of the staff initially refused to honor the one free month with a truck rental because we were renting two units after renting two trucks. He finally relented. After a poor review the manager contacted us and offered us a free month to make up for the hassles. New management came in and we had to fight again for that free month. We were told the new manager would call us. Two days went by and no call. Called again and were told manager would call us. No call ever came so we had to go in to the facility to make sure the free month was actually in place. When we moved out the young man behind the desk looked like he wanted to be anywhere but where he was and he had his earphones in and was tuning into his phone/music before he finished the transaction (receipt was printing). No one said "thanks for being a customer/using our services" or "we appreciate your business." I would never recommend this facilty to anyone. Go to Rutland - 1606 Findlay Road - where the staff are friendly, helpful and make you feel good about using the services. Dealing with uhaul has been incredibly frustrating. Each time we went or called it was a disaster and stressful. Or we were hung up on, or in the lobby with no staff in the building. Our movers ended up having to haul all our belongings from the storage down the stairs yesterday because the floors were being waxed. Do that on off hours. How ridiculous. Motor home storage was promised with electricity for trickle battery chargers. Plugs pulled out and sockets blanked off with metal plates. No warnings sent to owners. The service is terrible and slow. The units are gross and smell. There were homeless people living out of a unit by mine and it smelled horrible. The line ups are long, the staff moves at a less than urgent pace. They rented me two rooms by accident. They were out of locks to buy. They didn't walk us through how to sign in and sign out. There's no instructions or map. It took us 30 minutes to figure out how to get in, and another 30 mins to find the unit. Should put a floor layout map on each level. This is a hard review to write because the facility is great and offers a drive in, drop off experience that is perfect no matter what the weather. For the most part the staff are wonderful. Management is another story. We found the managers to be rude, profit motivated and difficult to deal with. When we moved in the facility was out of padlocks and asked us to use our own. We did. We checked back in a few days to see if the locks were in and they weren't. A few days later we received notice that our lock had been cut off and a UHaul lock installed on our unit. They took the time to send an email but didn't take the time to call us and let us know, instead choosing to ruin our perfectly good lock taken from our storage shed. This is just one example of the issues we had with the facility. We also had to fight to get our free month that came with renting a truck. We rented a moving truck in our former city and received a free month for that. When we rented a second truck from this location to finish up our move they absolutely did not want to give us another free month on a second unit. The manager was rude about it and very begrudgingly gave it to us. That said the staff we have dealt with in our daily interactions have been friendly and helpful.LeAnn B. | Expérience générale

We had a very negative experience with trying to pick up a trailer in Sparwood, the trailer malfunctioned and we couldn't bring all of our items with us. The managemebt was rude and unapologetic. When we arrived at Uhaul in Kelowna on Enterprise Way we were greeted with great customer service and support by a very understanding young man, which made up for the negative experience the day before. Staff are less thank helpful, and also beyond incompetent ... Given misinformation multiple times. Also was charged for this unit AFTER it was emptied and we closed the contract (or the staff told us it was closed). One woman there is competent, but the manager and front staff don't know what they are doing and have no people skills. When asked a question they don't know they sit and stare at you blankly until you walk away. Less than impressed and will be telling friends NOT TO EVER USE THIS LOCATION FOR ANY REASON. had the same difficulties while renting trucks from this location in the past. Staff need some sort of training and knowledge about the locations services BEFORE being put on the desk with no manager around. The male manager of this location gets beligerant and downright rude when we are attempting to clear up disputes caused by his staff's previous misinformation given to us. Front staff fantastic :) When I was unloading close to 8;00 pm the closing South Asian informed us that you closed at 8:00. The warning of your closure started at 7:30 then 7:40 then every 5 minutes until you closed.I understand you have hours of operation but I don't need to be on the edge of harassed.He was slowing use down with his constant interference. Regarding having our stuff in storage, the experience was good, the only issue is the u-haul charging me 2 units for the whole month of December when I used them for just a few days. 1 unit I used for 1 week in December after payment and the second unit for 3 days after payment. I thought I would have a refund for the remind of the month but I didn't. I paid the units online for December's month even thou I knew that we were using just for a few days, but that's what honest people do, pay their bills, right? However, the units are sitting empty now, u-haul took the whole monthly payment and will rent the same units and will make more money! That's the only issue that I have! At one point last fall there was a man living in the unit across from mine. I told the staff, and they did respond, but as a result my unit was ransacked by mice... Front office staff are friendly and helpful, but elusive. Not uncommon to stand in the front for 10 minutes without seeing a staff member, or to wait 20 minutes in a line to speak to one of them. On the flip side, every time I spoke to the GM (Andrew) I had a bad experience. He's a horrible little man with the wrong attitude for dealing with people, be they staff or customers. For two years in a row now I have been told I had storage for my boat. As I go to bring my boat in they say that my reservation confirmation was no good as the manager had just given ours places away. The fact that I got it resolved after hours of working on it myself and pushing the staff to get something done. Shows a lack of management and organizational skills. I feel that head office or corporate or whoever may have given all our spots away dealt with the customers extremely inappropriately. I believe for all the inconveniences and the sheer lack of trust your company shows. That they would give some kind of gratification or credit to the customer like myself. I am happy to be in the storage unit with my boat but by far had to work very hard to get it. The staff that was on site and Kelowna worked very hard to try and help me out. The only thing that I saw was during the mid day (when we checked in) the staff was quite busy and the check in office was sometimes left totally un attended while each of the staff was out assisting a customer!
