I reserved a small u-haul over a month in advance. On pickup day they told me they only had the largest one available. They were extremely rude and said well someone should have called you so this is all we have. No one called or emailed me letting me know or else I would have picked up from another location. They said I would be charged the price for the original u-haul I reserved but I was charged 100 $more. I am never using u-haul again.KELSIE O.

Employee was not professional. I called and asked for trucks in two sizes and was told they didn't have any. I called a little while later and talked to the call center who said they had a truck that would fit me. After telling her what the employee told me she said that they had a truck 2 ft longer. The employee should have recommended that from the start and would have saved me time. When I got there he was very short. The truck had a very strong cigarette smell which was displeasing. I would not recommend uhaul if this was the experience every time.JAMES H.

I was not told about how if I returned the truck after closing how I needed to have my cell phone with me and be proficient with the internet . I had to take multiple pictures and upload them Most distressful was I did have location services on , which I did but the site wasn't picking it up - Therefore , it wouldn't close out the contract . I had to call a friend over to the site for help . I had to forward the site to them and get assistance to close out contract . So I can ONLY imagine an elderly person you doesn't have the skill to get this done and the trouble it would be. The client needs to be warned that the need to be able to do this technically over the phone and be able to navigate issues on the internet . I don't think that is fair to the client . You can't ASSUME everyone cam do this . I have a masters degree and still had problems . So last of education was not my issue . But even myself had to call for help .ROBERT Q.

The U-Haul truck I rented had such a bad bad vibration, that it blurred your vision. Could not drive any faster than 50 miles an hour. The box part of the truck where my belongings were leaked rain. The air conditioner did not work. The service engine light was on. The box on the truck was dirty. It is obvious, that no one is inspecting these trucks before they rent them out. I feel I should be given a refund for the cost of the truck.JOHN F.

The van box was leaking up front in the moms attic area when I got where I was going my things were wet on both sides of the truck. I told and showed the customer service people out side checking the truck in and also inside rep. The rep inside went out climbed in the truck and came back inside and said she did a light check and didn't see anything. Like she just blew me off and they put truck back in line. Luckily I didn't have to go far but if my things were in truck for 3 or 4 days with a lot of rain like we are having now my things would be ruined.Michael D.

The truck was not clean inside or out. Plus the truck needs service maintenance. The right front tire has an issue (out of balance or tire itself) plus their is a bearing going bad which is given off a high pitch sound.KENNETH P.

The vehicle had dirt on the floor. I had I sweep it out before loading my household goods. The vehicle had an dangerous shimmy when driving over 40 mph. It has either a bad tire, badly worn suspension parts, or it's badly misaligned. It is unsafe and should not be rented again until repairs are made. Also, I was unable to fully use the space due to the placement of a hand truck and blankets.JAMES H.

Your facility is nice but the agent wasnt real informative as far as entering your code and my code would not access us in si we had to go to the office 3x fir them to let us in once in we were unable to access out and we had to crawl underneath you gate as no one could here us blowing the horn and yelling the internet was down and we have no card yet. The trailer lights / wiring had a short and would work intermediary. I checked the connection at the house prior to leaving and lights would not stay on. As we we're traveling they would come on them go off. At the 1st gas stop, I attached the adapter and plugged them in. After moving the black connectors near the brake system they came on and stayed on. FYI the tech t the Slidell location didn't check them prior to my leaving. I should have check it also. I was very disappointed with the storage. My furniture that was in the locker had white mildew all over it. I was paying extra for climate control and it seems like it didn't do any good. Excellent. Besides the damage to the truck upon receiving it. I do recommend as well as U-Hual, to do a "Walk" around of vehicle and document ALL damages. But that's to be expected on "Rental" equipment. I would rent again and tell friends about my experience with U-HualJOHN E.

Upon picking up the Uhaul the service agent was extremely nice and helpful! She answered all of my questions and explained the process in great detail. She was very warm and friendly with excellent customer service. Unfortunately, when dropping off the vehicle around 6:58pm the agent was NOT very friendly. He was not welcoming AT ALL. He treated me as though I was someone he was annoyed with on the street. He sat in the truck in a manner as if I was reporting to him for whatever reason as he read out the mileage and my fees sarcastically. I confirmed my mileage and that I understood my fees. He continued to type in the palm pilot and looked up with only his eyes without moving his head with an attitude and told me â€œokâ€ as if he wanted me to walk away. That was very rude of him. How about thanking me for my business or atleast indicating to me in a professional way that he didn't need any other information from me. I'm not sure of the agent's name but he was a young white male. He does NOT need to be working around customers. And if he does not like his job then he should quit. I had an exterior wall unit & the climate control was not adequate in that space. Despite signs that said the building was sprayed for pest control I regularly saw bugs (including cockroaches) around the building. I found termite wings in my unit also. Everytime I went to my unit there was dirt in the loading/unloading area. The lighting was fine in the hallways, but the outdoor & unit lighting is poor and with cameras only on the doors of the buildings, not inside, I believe it is sub-par for security. I waited a total of 30 minutes from the time I got to the U-Haul storage storefront to get into my storage unit. I had to pay the movers for this time because of the poor management at the desk. There was one women there and she was juggle 3 phones calls while trying to check me into my reservation. She was going back and forth to each call helping everyone at the same time(including me) but the problem was that she was only giving each customer a small portion of her time which meant we all had to wait an extra long time. Honestly, I should have been priority because I was physically there and I had a reservation. Having to pay the movers more money for U-Hauls problems made me the most angry. It cost me 35 $extra dollars that I paid to the movers. I would like to be refunded this money from U-Haul since it was U-Haul's poor customer service that led to me spending that money. I have been renting from U-Haul for years and have spent 1 000 $'s of dollars here, but this experience makes me want to go elsewhere.Samuel B. | Premières impressions

Lyrae was very helpful from the time I pulled up. I have a small unit , she explained the size. I am interested in maybe getting a lager size after she explained that it's possible to upgrade to a larger unit when it becomes available. I misunderstood - thought I was getting one month free with a truck rental but she explained that because the truck was not a one way drop-off it was not qualified.
