For pick up and drop off I had several issues with the app. I was unable to go during store hours which is why I chose Uhaul because of the app and 24/7 option. With full service, the app would disconnect, delete data, not enable editing, and be unclear whether data (i.e. photos and information) was saved correctly or at all. Vehicle was returned at proper location on Sunday, January 19 at 5:50PM (one day early). I received nothing to reflect that.

Really no issues at branch level. What I have an issue with is how I have to do the employees job as far as inspection and damage reporting. I wonâ€™t be returning to uhaul just for that matter.

January 8, 2020 To â€˜Whomever it may concernâ€™ Dear Sir/ Madam, I was charged $10 extra because no one told me that just checking the seal on the dolly and mats, Iâ€™m liable for â€˜em. First, I didnâ€™t ask for 15â€ truck as I just needed a 10â€ without dolly and mats to move few small items that I couldnâ€™t fit in my SUV from my house to an apt. within Slidell. So when I went back to return the truck, I was charged $10 dollars because the seals were loose from when I was just checking â€˜em. I didnâ€™t use the dolly or the mats as I didnâ€™t need â€˜em. Everything was already packed in boxes ?? and I moved â€˜em by myself and just needed a 10â€ truck for under 20 miles. I think, the front desk person should have explained this loophole to me as it appears, UHaul is finding ways to make more money from their loyal customers But might end up loosing â€˜em in the process. Thank god we noticed a flat tire upon loading. Was very pleased that you sent out a person for repair and he also changed another tire due to tread wear and said it probably would have blown. Driving from Louisiana to Illinois and just thought they could have done a better job of inspection, but again very pleased with quick action to get it fixed and thanking god it was caught.

Everyone was nice and helpful. No one told us that we needed to have the truck by 4:30pm (only that it needed to be returned with a full tank of gas) so we were charged for a second day even though we asked if we could bring it back before close at 7pm. We were told no and that we would be charged either way which was very rude and frustrating.

I feel that a vehicle should be full of gas upon renting. When time is limited going to the gas station cuts into your time to move. Three phone numbers to rent a vehicle is a bit much.

Enhance the staff welcome and responsiveness when customers arrive. Clarify how to handle the pick-up when the check-in was completed online. I feel like it didn't save me any time - it just resulted in not receiving a written contract. This was inconvenient later when I went to fill the fuel to the appropriate level prior to turn-in, and lacked the printed fuel estimator on the contract.
