I usually rent trucks with Home Depot. This was my first time renting cargo van with UHaul. The experience was excellent, from start to finish. Quick and easy. Vehicle was very clean and in great condition. The employees were friendly. I will definitely be back.

The customer service members when I returned my truck were very rude and unfriendly. Plus the truck was horrible it had a smell of smoke so bad I had to roll the window down.

The person I had Kendra Ross was very helpful, I didn't have to ask anything because she let met know upfront what was going to happen and she was very helpful, and knowledgeable.

Kendra Ross was a great help with my reservation. She was so kind in explaining what would be helpful for my move and which truck to utilize as well. The truck rode nicely and had no issues. The customer service was quick as well even though it was pretty busy inside the store.

How about giving me the parts I ordered? I asked and was ignored repeatedly. I paid for, but did not receive, a magnetic light set for vehicles being towed with the payment of renting the trailer. Where are they? I am still waiting.

I had selected mobile check in and despite following the directions it wouldn't work (couldn't find my location). The store attendant is very very slow and all the information I entered to reserve the truck for example distance didn't take in your system. Seems like you need to work on your IT.

There was an issue with the truck that I reserved being double booked. Other than that everything went well as usual, however, I overfilled the tank beyond what was required by more than a half of a tank but did not receive a gas credit. I submitted a request to inquire about this and have not heard back yet.

No improvements needed! The staff who assisted me were great and patient as I struggled with scanning my ID. She was through in answering my questions and giving instructions. Overall, the entire rental process was simple and efficient. Thank you!!

The truck shifted gears poorly and the breaks were weird. Half the time they worked normal the other half they didn't. Everything else was good. Pick up and drop off was easy

Better customer service. I had reached out several times to u-haul customer service to extend my rental but there were long hold times and tried to chat /e-mail them but never got a response. Finally when I was able to speak to a representative they told me that my reservation had been cancelled and therefore could not be extended. They said I could only start a new reservation. I never heard from the Good Hope Rd. location, but they claimed they tried to reach me via Facebook and to the police. The police called me today and said I was being charged with stealing their U-Haul and is a Felony. They also provided me with a bunch of fees and a receipt of $2 300 for a period of about a week or 2. No apology for the miscommunication, no discount on our bill for the unnecessary threats and false claims, when I was never reached out to prior to the police contacting me and the threatening me with felony charges. I would avoid them unless you want to be threatened by the police, a ridiculous bill, and extremely poor customer service.

My visit to uhaul on Capital Drive was bad(wasn't given nor EXPLAINED proper instructions, couldn't locate key etc so I thought it couldn't get any worse.I'm disappointed and disheartened by my experience at the Storage unit located on Good Hope Road. The staff member SCREAMED at me in my face like an unprofessional scary person instead of offering instructions in a calm and unprofessional manner. She was quite disrespectful.

My moving experience using U-Haul truck and equipment rental was amazing. I will recommend to my family and friends to use U-Haul for services or products. They're also great for buying items to use for moving like tape and boxes that I also purchase. I thank you for your service. Looking forward to doing business with again. While customer service interaction upon picking up our rental truck was up to par, a detailed explanation on imposed “after hour charges” would be much appreciated to ensure consumer can plan accordingly upon agreeing to renting truck. These charges alone will ensure I never rent from U-Haul in the future.

The contactless pick up was ridiculously challenging. It took us 45 minutes of our reserved time to figure it out. Made even more frustrating by the fact that two employees seemed bored inside but were extremely unhelpful when asked a question. It felt like a very not fun escape room.

I forgot to take photo of license plate so I could pay the Illinois toll road-license plate not on paper work! Contacted toll road maybe they can figure it out!! I finally found video on web in proper use of wood rails to secure cargo!! Had two pieces of furniture in back of truck so had to be secured!! Called u haul and looked on web site no guidance found!!

The communication between the phone reps and your office staff is way off. The phone reps misguided me so when I went in the office, I was told by the office staff that I was told wrong information.

Needed to get in storage for a ladder and couldn't I was late paying for unit and your facility had put a lock on that they could not open because it was frozen. There should always be on acetylene torch around for that issue. My kids mother received a letter that I was late with my payment a week and half after I paid it and then another week and a half later I get the same letter. Not good people don't get notifications out early enough. I guess this is a reoccurring problem because when I went to pay I told her I never got a notice and she waive the late fee…been there twice and they still didn't change the name to the correct name. Didn't affect me I dropped the ballI was just thinking about others. Could lead to serious altercations. Fix ASAP! Thank you.

The only reason I am getting four stars instead of five is that the free month of storage that is supposed to come with a rental of a truck never seems to work out. I have had that experience four times in the past year and have never received a free months rent on the storage.

When i first got the unit i was greeted by a dead mouse. Found evidence of mice being in unit.

Storage was broken into and the door was broken and even though i reported it to the office they madde no effort to fix right away..i had to secure the unit myself until days later

The stuff was not professional everytime I went in there. When I check out of my storage unit it took over a week. They kept say they would check me out but never did until 5 days later and they kept calling me saying I was late for rent even though I was suppose to be check out.

The facility messed up when it came to parking my vehicle. They had me parked in a reserved spot. Asking me to move the vehicle I said I couldn't unless it was towed and I am not paying another tow to move it to a different spot. The employee told me to park the car there and that is what I did. Now there are asking me how long til I move out the parking spot when I just moved in the parking spot a few days ago.

It took forever to check in. I stood at the counter for at least 15 minutes before I could get keys to the storage unit. The storage unit rented to me was too small for the 26 foot U-Haul truck that I also rented from U-Haul. There was trash everywhere. John David checked us in this morning though and he was awesome and very efficient. The outside guys were great. Inside staff not so much.

I'd give this location 5 stars but some of the Staff was lazy and not helpful. majority were great!Manager was excellent. But one woman was awful... she slept on counter, didn't want tobanswer anyone's question. she should have gone home. awful awful...

I moved my items from this storage unit over a year ago and paid fees owed then as the final payment. Two months later they claim I wasn't moved out but I was because they told me something was there but I know it wasn't and the last time I was there I told them I was moving then and they said fine just take the lock with me which I did after clearing out.... This was over a year ago and yet they keeping saying I owe money for a unit I am not occupying. My mother told them I had nothing in the unit and I have told them this as well. So no I have nothing good to say.

For the most part the experience was okay. My issues were not consistent enough to give a "No" response to some of the above questions even though if there was a rating scale of 1 - 5, this location would be in the middle or lower. There was some kind of water leak into the indoor unit that I had that soaked the lower stacked boxes. The boxes then collapsed under the weight of the boxes on top and some thing got crushed. Clothing ended up having mold in them. All of the boxes on the floor were stuck to the floor and things that were wood had water damage. Dealing with the staff was a crap shoot. In person I've never had a problem. Especially in leaving the facility for the last time. That gentleman was VERY helpful. Any conversation over the phone was met with hostility. When a mistake, that was not mine was made, I was met with a nasty attitude.

I don't like the fact that you're told that you a given a month free when the free month is totaled into the first months rent it's no way a 5by10 should cost me 100 and then you're made to buy one of uhauls locks it's a ridiculously high price it's a rip off the second month is not free I paid for it in the first months rent And the lick was 10

Uhaul reassure me that my first month of rent was free,it was not. The inconveniences of having to pay storage unit I had just payed$780. To rent the truck and 200 dollar for tolls and gas. I really didn't appreciate the false advertising.

Majority of the household and personal items I had in storage for safe keeping , I had to trash away due to extreme amounts of rodent feces and damage caused by it. Aside from it I felt hassled a month ago I received a call from an agent who was very rude and augmentative. Out of that it event I was prompted to end my contract with U-Haul. Thanks for the storage. I will definitely try somewhere else next time.
