Properly train your workers to inform the customers that even if they turn in the rented equipment before the 24 hours is up, if the facility is closed at the time of the return they will be charged an additional $20 INCONVENIENCE fee. I would think that it would actually be more convenient to have the equipment at the location and ready for the next renter, prior to the original time I was required to have it back. Had I known about the "fee", I would have brought the van back the next morning, after you opened. Because it was not due back until 9 AM anyway. NEVER AGAIN! I will go with Penske next time. I reserved the truck on line, photos of license etc to save time picking it up when I got there. I had to do it over in person. I then checked the truck back in on line with images etc. Someone came over to the truck and asked me to move it so they could complete the check in process. So much for saving any time. The staff was courteous and helpful at all times though. That was a huge plus.Kimberly W.

The young lady who's name I forget how to spell was Summer was absolutely amazing! She took extra time out of a very busy location to help me with a blown fuse I had in my truck in order to get the trailer light's working. I was actually looking at using a competitor, but after an AWEFUL customer service encounter with the competitor I decided to call U-HUAL. From the moment the call was answered to the time I completed my paperwork at the office the customer service has been explementary. Everything was explained to me in detail, no questions, no surprises, easy peasy. I even got a larger unit than I was looking at the competitors place at a cheaper price and better access hours bonus! U-HAUL wins my business and my recommendations, all because the competitor uses a call center and those folks do not know the policies/program, wouldn't/couldn't answer my questions and could care less about me as a customer.jock t. | Premières impressions
We love this Uhaul location, mostly because the staff is so professional & knowledgeable . The staff ( especially Krista, Summer, Autumn, & Christy are so VERY helpful & efficient, if they tell you something, you can believe them. When we have had issues with incorrect information from other Uhaul locations ( even out is state locations), we can call the Woodlake location in Chesapeake to get " straight answers"! The internet system for truck pickup was horrible. I was not in the system appropriately because after completing the online prompt they said I owed $16 so the computer would not send me a code. I was delayed and ascertaining the truck had to call the 1-800 number and had people standing around to help me move my father's belongings from one jurisdiction to another. Krissy & Ronesha were some of most helpful ladies at this Uhaul location on multiple occasions no matter what the wind blew my way. Being from out of town, this was the first place I secured to store my things and I must say I'd never go to another location. They were friendly, amazingly resourceful and presented a customer friendly atmosphere that made me feel welcomed. I received the truck on E with no gas I had to fill up for almost $100 twice then when I returned it I get charged for not having a quarter tank. I believe that was so absurd. Rating is about my storage units: Office and grounds were clean. Staff was helpful. I would HIGHLY recommend the storage units be inspected before renting. Some of my items got wet / mold due to the unit next storage (according to office mgr. heavy rain.) My unit also had loose insulation hanging down. I needed to inspect the units (3) before renting. After reserving our storage unit AND calling twice the day we were arriving once we arrived we were told there wasn't a unit available. We were told that since we didn't work directly with this facility they couldn't guarantee there would be anything available. I explained that while we didn't work directly with this facility the UHaul person that was helping us did in fact work directly with Corban at this facility when the reservation was made. After well over an hour they found a unit for us but there was no sense of urgency, there was very little communication as to what was happening. We had 3 carloads of people waiting to help us unload the truck as this was the first night of the holiday weekend and everyone had plans for the weekend but still there was no sense of urgency. In addition to that once we got the truck unloaded at pulled it out front it was 8:12 PM and the two remaining employees were getting ready to leave but because it was 12 minutes after closing they weren't interested in actually helping me get the truck checked in. They they told me if I couldn't figure it out they would check it in the next morning for a $20. fee! I did not get the vehicle checked in on line as the email I rec'd didn't have a link to do so so I took pictures of the truck, mileage and gas gauges and dropped the keys in the drop box. I was not charged the $20 fee thankfully but the entire experience once arriving at the Greenbrier facility was not good at all. Also, there was another customer there who had made a reservation and taken time off work to be at her appointment at the Greenbrier facility and she was told her reservation wasn't available either. Same story, she worked with a UHaul Rep that answered the phone for the Greenbrier facility after being on hold for 25 minutes and made her reservation for her. The employee's said that the system in place doesn't work because it doesn't accurately depict what is available it's just a guesstimate and that UHaul counts on people not showing up so they overbook. I feel like that's a terrible way to run a storage business when people are moving and counting on their reservations. I will tell you that our experience when returning our first truck and talking with Corban was extremely pleasant and informative and Corban was very attentive and helpful quite unlike the employee's when we arrived with a full 26' truck...Karen D. | Premières impressions
